Blue collar food is very popular in Erie and somewhere in the principles of psychology of American eating unhealthy has taken root. Very much so on the east coast to midwestern states. Hearty food is very important when your working all day. I get that if your working with your hands all day and working in a very labor intense area. Hearty food is important for the factor of energy but, you get the same from healthy food too. I work within my mind all day an an hardware engineer so I spend a good amount of time thinking, (you know thinking uses up a ton of energy too). The review: Everything here is fresh and I can say it smells great in here and the staff is nice, friendly and makes an effort to see your taken care of. When my daughter suddenly said daddy I have to pee now! Now is well "NOW!" in our house and you have about 40 seconds before they lose that battle. I didn't even need to ask, one of the girls said downstairs and with a very fast dash effort we made it in time. Being friendly to parents earned you a star, not related to good food but as being a human. Here are some of things you get Fruit Tray, Pasta Salad, Oven Roasted Potatoes, Ricotta Knots, every type of Italian deli said you would think of and watch the food get prepared and move out the door tells me its not waiting around so its fresh. I had the combo and I could have had the fruit said but I didn't my wife was not in the car to remind me of my heart (which works fine thank you). With all the disappointments in Erie food (and some of them much more expensive) the food Teresa's isn't one of them they do things right and I'm sure there isn't a high margin for profit in this business. I would play a dollar more for the food to just make sure it exists long enough for my son to really like it.

Soup and subs are pretty good and made fresh everyday. You can buy fresh cheeses, pastas, and breads too. It's a very mom & pop style place on a corner with a small lot. Personally, I don't think the food is amazing, but 2.5-3 stars to a good bargain for fresh ingredients and good service.

I had the classic sausage sub. The bread was fresh and the sausage was REAL with the casing and everything. That's a rarity around here. It was very good. I'll be back to try more soon.

I was in Erie for a family reunion and needed some road food for the trip back home. Tired of burgers, I stopped by Theresa's. I ordered a 12 inch combo (ham, capicola, salami, mozzarella, lettuce, and tomato). I asked for no tomato, but add bacon. My husband ordered a half a pound of potato salad. I'm not a fan of potato salad, per se, but this potato salad was absolutely fantastic. We finished the half a pound before leaving the parking lot, and I went back in to get more. We didn't start the sub until we were on the road for a couple of hours. The sub traveled well and was delicious. I'm a happy, happy girl.

Pepperoni balls. Theresa's makes my favorite food on the whole planet - pepperoni balls. I visit Erie once a year and i always stop in for 2 dzn pep balls, and i have to always pick up any ricotta knots they have left for my mom. This year i should pick up more for my freezer.
