Very happy with this place. Bartenders made great martinis and the 16 oz beers are right for the price. Food was very, very good. Burgers are delicious and the spiral potato appetizer is awesome! I would definitely go back :)

It's a chain... but one has to appreciate that they try to be a part of the city. The decor is all Erie-oriented... and hey, for a chain, the food ain't too bad (although predictable). I've been here a handful of times and every steak I've ordered has been cooked rare as I've asked it to be. For Erie, that's sometimes enough. If you're at the mall and looking for something comforting and safe, this is probably the best chain around (besides Fox & Hound if you count it as a chain).

Pretty good food for the prices. Service isn't the greatest and there can be a wait. But that happens

We just came back from our 2nd visit to this place and we had an equally enjoyable experience. The service is excellent and the food is well above average for a big box restaurant. After a pint of Sam Adams to accompany my rib-eye and baked potato, I enjoyed a slice of peach pie. For all my fellow Canucks, think of this place as a Kelsey's that puts a whole lot more love into the quality of their food.

While I love the menu at O'Charleys my family and I will not be returning due to horrible customer service. On two separate occasions we waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food and ended up leaving the restaurant with no food! The worst part is no one seemed to care that we hadn't been served. We asked several times about the status of our food...and nothing. We gave the restaurant a second chance and the same thing happened again. Sad to think they would treat any customer this way let alone weekly regulars. If you do end up at O'Charleys make sure you sit in the bar area and ask for Jenna to serve you! She's the best and cares about her customers!

I love O'Charley's. Never disappointed when I dine here. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Prices are great with half-price appetizers from 4-6.

I was a first-time visitor to O'Charley's restaurant in Erie, PA and was very pleased with this restaurant. Pros: 1. Excellent Service - The waitress was very attentive to our needs and checked on us frequently. The manager served part of our food and welcomed us to the restaurant. This is some of the best service I have seen in a restaurant. 2. Fabulous Food - The steak was cooked to order. The food tasted great. 3. Food was competitively priced with other similar-style restaurants in the area. 4. The dining area and bathrooms were clean despite being busy. The only downfall is the line of people waiting to get into the building on a Saturday evening but this was expected. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to return with friends soon.

I travel by myself for work and eating alone is depressing no matter what. It's always nice when you can get full service at the bar. O'Charley's is a step up from your Applebee's and TGI Friday's in my book and the food is always great. I sat at the bar last night and the bartender was Brenda. She was awesome, constantly checking on me, and brought me everything I needed before I could even ask. They were out of the French Dip sandwich, which is my favorite, but I won't hold it against them. Great place for lunch or dinner with consistently great service.

Great food. Nice atmosphere. I ate here once during an overnight stay in Erie. The restaurant is spacious and is divided between a bar area where you can watch sports games and a dining area. The portions were large and we ended up asking for take-away boxes. Their pies are delicious.

Steak was seasoned well and actually cooked medium well, which is apparently tricky for many restaurants. My fiancé's steak was well prepared also, but the broccoli was cold and not cooked long enough...very hard. It took several attempts for him to get his water refilled, and no one ever came to ask how our meal was, although I caught the eye of the server several times. I'd like to review the chips we ordered for an appetizer, however it never came to the table. The waitress almost said we didn't order one, but then found where she had written it down. 2 other tables in the same station complained about the same thing. The manager gave everyone a card for a free appetizer next time they come in, and was very apologetic.

Delicious. We were turned away from Fox and Hound for being underage so we turned to Yelp for a second choice and we have never been happier to be under 21. The food was amazing (I got the 10$ pot pie with a side of the loaded potato soup and my girlfriend got the Bacon Mac and cheese, then we split a piece of the Caramel Pie) without exception. We had an amazing time and spent 28$ on the food. Our server, a girl named Kayla, was amazing, prompt and kind then entire night. We will be back here next time I'm in town.

I had a great meal for an awesome price! My friends and I ate here on free-pie night a few days ago; it was my first time at O'Charley's. There was a large selection of food to choose from, then I came across the low-price combo meals. I ended up ordering the Fish & Shrimp meal and it was DELICIOUS. The portion was the perfect size and it was served nice and hot. Normally, I'm afraid to order fish from a restaurant that isn't a fishery, so this was a real surprise. I also got their caramel pie for dessert :D Our waitress was very kind and checked on us throughout the meal. Gotta love having a full glass of water! Also, I was very happy when I received the bill; I'm basically a poor medical student so great food is hard to come by these days. I definitely plan on going back at some point!

Meh, food here is very mediocre. As a visiting medical student to Erie, I was lucky enough to enjoy a couple "Drug-Rep" lunches at the clinic I worked at. One of these lunches came from O'Charley's and I was excited to try it since, coming from CA, I've never heard of the restaurant! The online menu looked really good, too! Unfortunately, I ordered a lunch combo of house salad and Cajun Chicken Pasta. The salad was very bland and mediocre...I could have had a better salad from one of those bagged salads at the grocery store :(. The pasta also did not satisfy...it was too heavy and had very little flavor, just alot of heavy cream. I guess as an American chain restaurant, it could be worse, but overall, not too impressed! However, I will say that the selection of food is pretty broad, and perhaps if I had ordered something different, it would have been better! The restaurant itself seems to be a hit for family dinners.

This is one place the entire family can agree upon. We have eaten there several times and the food has always been excellent. Normally, I like to stick with the same meal when I go to different restaurants, but with O'Charley's I'm not afraid to experiment. Items of exceptional quality are:: Loaded Potato Soup, Louisiana Sirloin, Chicken Tenders and Pretzel Sticks. Oh, the complimentary rolls are very good as well. What they have in food quality they lose in Service. I have never experienced "excellent" service and receive "okay" service as a general rule (must be cause I'm fat?). I recommend asking for the Check when the food is delivered because it's quite possible you'll never see your waiter again. The restaurant has always been clean and atmosphere pleasant. Considering the prices and quality of the competitors in the immediate vicinity, O'Charley's is a very good value. Armed with the knowledge that service is going to be substandard, I take preventive measures to make sure the dining experience is pleasurable (order things promptly, ask for napkins/checks and other things in advance. You need to be proactive if you want a successful dining experience.

The food and the service left much to be desired. Very fatty prime rib, waitress with an attitude, slow kitchen,

Not bad for a chain. Appetizers are half off during happy hours(till 6pm) overall fairly reasonable menu.

Very good food. Always expect that from O'Charley's. The 23 oz. draught beer $2.99 happy hour every day (4-6 pm) is awesome as well. If you get served by Terry, he's very friendly and fun as a server. Gives you that personal touch.

We often have trouble finding family places to eat where the adults can enjoy the food as well as our 4y/o and 18m/o but our latest experience at O'Charley's was remarkable. Every one of us walked away from our dinner contented with our meals and over all experience.

Can I give it 0 stars? In 3 visits (none of my choosing): Service was consistently bad. Fries were always cold. Food was sub-par for the pricepoint.

We decided to check this place out as we had a coupon for 10 dollars and it being one of the last nights before school starts decided this would be good place to check out. Lets talk bathrooms, if you walk into a place and the bathrooms are dirty that is one guess of what the kitchen looks like. The bathrooms were spotless and smelled like bleach. That tells me someone thinks about keeping things clean around here and if they care this much about the bathrooms the kitchen is also cleaned with bleach. Why did I always start my reviews with bathrooms? My kids, I have a family rule, they go the bathroom before eating out. I don't like getting up from my meal and its distracting. Also, I don't know what it is, but kids love to check out bathrooms when they are little. Its true, I've checked with other parents and its just one of those things. Information for future parents of what to expect. We were seated right away as its Tuesday night and it's usually a slow night for the kitchen. Being a cook at one time this is the one of the nights you train people without getting slammed in the process or getting stuck in the weeds. The staff were polite and had our menu and drinks in the first 7 minutes. They bring crayons and I know this is the normal thing to do but its nice to keep them busy. The menu is laid out well and they do not try to be all things to all people. Thank god someone whom has a vision, that really shows me a place is going to fail when they don't have a path of logic. Let's talk specifics, Naked Twisted Chips and Spicy Queso are excellent. They are really great and the kids love them, the cheese and chips were gone. My kids had the Chicken Tenders and they are really big and juicy and they didn't over cook them. They always get vegetables with dinner and they look at the way they were prepared. I steam everything at home and they are used to it. It locks in color. texture, taste and everything that makes vegetables good to eat. I ordered the steak and chicken tenders because the kids always eat off of my plate and they are starting to really like the taste of steak. The staff was Johnny on the spot stopped by often to make sure the food was hot and when the steak was not done enough I got a new steak and the chef was at the table with a hot juicy steak. I read the other reviews and I don't know what these people are talking about. Perhaps they had a bad day and they found fault in everything. I am happy with this place and I will return to spend my money again.

Not bad for a chain restaurant. I've eaten here twice with my family and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Of course it may have been the cheap, tall Yuenglings they feature... My suggestion, especially if you're only here for a beer and a snack, is to try the Southwestern Twisted Chips--hot, freshly deep fried, and topped with tasty salsa!
