As far as breakfast chains go Cracker Barrel wins HANDS DOWN. Mostly because I love grits, sugary baked ham and biscuits for breakfast. This location is homey and the staff was so nice. Weekday morning breakfast was quiet but nothing suffered because of it. It's behind a hotel but visiable from RT 90, easy on/off for travelers. This will remain in the stops for food when passing through the area.

Cracker Barrel offers a wide variety of homemade foods at reasonable prices. Homemade dumplings are wonderful. Customer service is terrific. Waitress comes around often to make sure the food is and everything is OK and keeps the tables cleaned off. It does not take long to receive your food from the time of order. Even when the restaurant is busy, it does not take them long to get tables for customers waiting in line. The restaurant also provides a general store and gift shop for travelers. Bottom Line: Highly Recommend

I have never been to a Cracker barrel before.. yes, I know. Where have I been right?? Anyways, I wasn't disappointed. I had the chicken and dumplings and they were good:) I like the country store they have.. I picked up some knick knacks for the kids since we were in Pennsylvania. I would definitely visit this restaurant again (when I find one near me LOL).

I love cracker barrel... They are consistent, friendly, good value. I love you cracker barrel! This one had a waiter who did magic tricks, which at first seemed annoying, then impressive..

I've always liked this chain - typically some pretty cool stuff to look at, reasonably priced and then always a place to sit. Normally the food is decent, the wait staff good and the food edible and tasty. This place wasn't an exception to the rule - it was clean, staff were all friendly and attentive and our food was prepared quickly, which is always good for me. There is also a decent selection and you can have breakfast ANY time you want!

Out of all the Cracker Barrels I've been to this is the one location we've been to most. That is because it's on the way to Pittsburgh and I usually time both filling up and eating breakfast in Erie and Peach street has both. The portion sizes for are large if you get a regular breakfast menu item say like Uncle Herschel or Grandpa's country fried. You get a lot of sides and choice of potatoes, apple, grits, choice of bread etc. It's a lot of food and it's heavy. I usually ask for my sausage gravy on the side so it doesn't make my country fried steak soggy and so I can also control it. I don't like too much gravy or drowning my biscuits in it to the point it's goop. The ham (any way) here is good, bone in etc. This is comfort food and since I primarily come here for breakfast their after breakfast menu is just as good and has more options. While Cracker Barrel is a big chain I still like the consistency and sit down rest by the fireplace atmosphere if I feel like have a slow, sit down meal as opposed to a quick McMuffin type get out of Dodge type of breakfast. My favorite dish here is the country fried steak whether with veggies and mashed for after breakfast or the breakfast with eggs, biscuits and grits.

I would not recommend stopping at this location. We travel from state to state throughout the year and prefer Cracker Barrel, but this is by far the worse. Extremely poor customer service. What's so odd about our visit, they were not busy and my husband had to ask the waitress for more to drink. He waited patiently and then finally had to ask. It's sad when we are required to pay for such poor service and the bread was cold. When I ask for warm bread, I was told that it was too late in the evening to serve warm bread. Who ever heard of such craziness. Needless to say, when traveling thru this area again, we will stop at the Applebee's next door.

We have stopped at Cracker Barrel's before and were semiprepared for a long wait for food. This wait was exceptional. Serve came out to say she was still waiting on husband's food followed by the manager (?-not sure who he was). I asked since my food was ready would it still be warm and he assured me it would. Then came back after food was served with a snotty attitude - was it hot enough for me. Then server stopped every 2 minutes asking if everything was okay - very annoying. Less then pleased with the attitude of staff at this location.

I'm actually giving this place five stars for the service alone! I've never been so impressed by wait staff anywhere that I've been! We had a princess party for my sister tonight and had a lot of people in our party but our waitress didn't sweat it! There was a waiter there that sang happy birthday to my sister and did magic tricks for my little nephew and another waiter that offered to take many pics of our party! We had a blast! The only thing that I'm sorry about is that I didn't get names because I'd like to give a shout out to the great staff!!!

Marty was the best server.!!! The food was great, but he's the reason that I'd stop there again. Helped me order something very good and then talked me and my dad I to ordering something sweet at the end!! An awesome pit stop!!

I've been to many Cracker Barrels over the years and this one is definitely sub-par, in my experience. We visited about two hours before closing time and business was quite brisk. We were seated right away, but it took around 10 minutes for the server to approach us--never a great sign. By time she got around to our table, we were ready to order and she took our stuff down. Our server had the "four stars" on her apron--what does that mean? Server Captain? I don't know. Usually it means the server is going to be extremely friendly and on their game, or extremely jaded and sour. This was the latter. She took our order and then came back a full 10 minutes later to tell my wife they are out of mashed potatoes, which are pretty much the prime reason my wife goes to Cracker Barrel. Very disappointing--if you run out of something two hours before closing, you make more. You don't tell everyone "tough luck". When the food finally came out it was hot and fairly good. Combine that with kind of crappy service and you get two stars.

I can never say enough good things about Cracker Barrel. No matter where you stop the food is always consistent and the servers are very polite. This location is no exception. If you are driving near and you're hungry, this is the place to stop.
