Great place to eat right next to the baseball stadium. Great atmosphere. In all honesty I'm from Pittsburgh and went to Erie to be at the beach. We found the place and the people were instantly attentive and helpful. The menu was astoundingly diverse. Shark tacos, brick oven pizzas. I had the lamb burger and it was so tasty. The prices were pretty cheap in all honesty with beer and entrees me and my gf spend 31 bucks plus tip. Which from Pittsburgh is about right so it was very inexpensive.

Found this place on the internet Yelp or google reviews driving through Erie, Pa. We got three things. Parking was easy on a Sunday night. Shrimp Poutine: Cheddar cheese sauce made the dish good. I enjoyed this dish. Peach tree Salad: the salad dressing was good, the salad was dry on top and the dressing went to the bottom. Make sure to mix it up. Fish Tacos: mahi mahi. This was a good dish. Overall Impression: The silverware and plates were nice. They were unique. The food was also very good. One of the best parts is that the Bicentennial Tower is nearby and since it was the first Sunday of the month, it was free. Enjoyed a tasty dinner, then went to the tower and watched the sunset with my girlfriend. Very romantic.

Great place to try when in Erie. Extremely creative menu. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Not outrageously expensive either. Worth a visit!

Wine bar, in Erie! Yep, thats right .... wine bar in erie. They have a nice variety of wines and change the list routinely. Menu items are contemporary and are very good. Every time I go here, I end up with the poutine. Tacos are pretty awesome too

Went to cloud 9 with a large group. We made a reservation and got seated immediately. Service was good. I had the duck poutine and the walnut fried Brie- both were delicious. I needed more bread and jam for the Brie but It was very good. My fiancé had the sliders they were ok but lacked in sauce. They were kind of dry. 3 friends got the buffalo poutine and all 3 said it was good but too spicy. Overall I would recommend coming here.

Was in Erie for an event at the Warner Theater and was happy to see that there was a wine bar close by. Though it is a wine bar, they have a full service bar and a decent selection of craft beer. I really liked the fact that there was a lot of local flavor in many of their beer, wine and liquor choices they serve. Really nice decor inside, very modern, clean, classy but not stuffy at all. It is a fairly casual place. The venue has both indoor seating and outdoor seating. Plenty of seating inside around the bar and many tables as well. You are able to make reservations at the tables and at the bar. They also have a menu of specialty cocktails, many of which feature locally made liquors. I saw plenty of Wigle Whiskey from Pittsburgh on the menu. The wine menu is set-up really nicely. The wines are grouped by like style or varietal. Each wine on the menu comes with a small description describing the wine. Even though I deem myself to be a 'wine person', I really like this approach as it allows each guest to make a selection based on their taste preferences. Another great feature is the ability to buy wine in a 2 ounce sample. You also can buy by the glass and bottle. I like the 2 ounce pour as it allowed me to sample around the menu and try a few different styles. The wine list contains wines across many varietals and blends from many Old World and New World countries. The diversity goes deeper in that the wineries on the list farm their grapes in many different manners. They have traditionally farmed wineries, organically farmed, sustainable and even biodynamic farmed wines (Montinore Estate stands out). The food is pretty good as well. They offer plenty of comfort food (Poutines, burgers, salads, soup and Pizza), seafood (oysters, mussels, scallops...etc), tapas, appetizers and entrees (steak, ribs, chicken). I opted for a small pizza, PEI Mussels and Mac n Cheese Bites...yes I know, that is a lot of food. Each was prepared quite nicely and was delicious. The service I had was fantastic. Lauren (I think that was her name) was extremely friendly and prompt. She was engaging and helpful to answer all questions. When she was not sure an answer, she excused herself and came back with a response. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend to others in the area looking for a relaxed and quiet experience.

We ate at your restaurant for the first time last night. The food was excellent! Your setting is so beautiful- just perfect for a birthday celebration. We loved all the appetizers and wine selections. Also the service was fantastic - AJ was the best! Thanks for making our night fantastic!

Wonderful food, wonderful wine, wonderful atmosphere. From the "bread in a bag" (served with fantastic butter like I've never had) to the dessert of fried Oreos and hand made chocolates it was all so good! The scallops with the sweet potato hash was a delicious combination and the lamb burger my boyfriend had was well executed and a very generous size. Wish I lived closer so I could dine there more often, Cloud 9 Wine Bar is now a traveling favorite!

As far as Erie goes (and I mean that kindly), Cloud9 is pretty classy. It would easily fit in Pittsburgh; I'd liken it to AWM (Allegheny Wine Mixer) which is my personal favorite wine bar. They really do have a top notch wine menu and they also offer a cocktail list and a small beer menu. I have been here twice now and while my first experience would be 4 stars, my most recent experience was more of a 2.5 star experience, so I did an averaging to give a 3 star review and here is why more than anything else: the discrepancy in the service received on my two separate visits. My first visit was about one and a half months ago. My bf and I came here after a POPs show for a glass of wine and dessert. Our server (male but can;t remember his name) was so helpful in going over a variety of his favorite wines as well as suggesting some of his favorites within the varities we indicated liking (he suggested an excellent chardonnay for me!) We did order a trio of chocolates that was excellently presented and described by our server. They were all very unique and paired excellently with the wine we had selected. My most recent visit was this past weekend as part of a larger group after the Erie Philharmonic. The restaurant itself was very accommodating allowing us to squeeze into a couple smaller tables before something larger opened up. The server (a dark haired male) came over quickly which was nice but that was where the prompt service stopped. When I inquired about a recommendation for a pinot grigio, his response was, " none of them are that great but if that's what you want I'd say the Ornella (Molon Pinot Grigio Venezia)". Of course it was the priciest, but I digress.....as a former server, I would have NEVER said "none of them are that great" ! When my bf asked for a Malbec suggestion, he was a little better there suggesting a few choices and actually describing them in some detail. On this visit, we ordered a more substantial meal, the Prosciutto pizza (figs / gorgonzola / fresh mozzarella / arugula / rosemary oil). Priced at $12 this was a seriously good deal considering the same pizza in Pittsburgh usually runs $18-$22 depending on where you go. The crust was too crisp and hollow for my liking (my bf helped me out with that part!) but the flavors were great and I loved the sweetness of the fig jam paired with the saltiness and creaminess of the gorgonzola. It was a small 8 cut pie so it was perfect for sharing. The ingredients were distributed evenly and it was edible without using a knife and fork. The server too FOREVER (and I'm talking at LEAST 25 minutes) to bring us our checks after we had asked for them. He took so long that one of the members of our party (who only ordered a single beer) moved to another table to join a different group and asked us to tell the server IF he ever brought his check, that he had moved tables. When the server saw that particular person "missing" from our table, he literally dashed over looking very distraught asking , "did that guy here walk out without paying?" That was the only time of the night he seemed to have any sense of urgency. We pointed out where he was sitting and the server said he would take the check over to him after first leaving it on our table. By the time we actually left about 30 minutes later, he STILL had not brought the check over to our friend, but we did our part by at least telling him where he was sitting. Anyways, I'd come back here because there is nothing else really like this with a class (ier) atmosphere in Erie, but, if this place were in Pittsburgh, I'd definitely think twice about returning after the service received the second time.

It's a been a while since a new, interesting restaurant has opened in Erie, so I'm really excited and pleased to say that Cloud 9 met and exceeded all of my expectations. Opened by Bertrand Artigues, the French restaurateur who owns the Perry Square favorite Bertrand's Bistro, Cloud 9 is marketed as a wine bar, but it's so much more. Yes, it has plenty of "draft" wines as well as local draft beers, but after our first visit, it's clear that the food is also out of this world - which is no surprise as the head chef comes from 1201 Kitchen. We went to the 4-6pm happy hour, in which draft wines and beers were half off. We each had a local Erie wine and local Lavery's brew. We decided to try their New York style fresh dough pizza, which was half off as well, along with their in-house smoked pastrami sandwich and their duck wings (although I'm regretting not trying the duck egg with risotto). All were delicious. The service was attentive, informative, and friendly. The decor was outstanding and I enjoyed the view of the street and Jerry Uht Park. I will be back very soon for that duck egg with rosotto.

We are quickly becoming regulars here. Super chill & classy atmosphere. They always have great wine recommendations & the food is fantastic. We've had a wide variety of food - pizza, local meat & cheese tray, fancy salmon appetizers, salads, ect. All great!! I love that they offer a variety of local wines & beer, in addition to Californian & imports. The location is very conveniently located to swing through before/after downtown events and it's adjacent to a parking ramp, with an inside entrance (no walking in rain/snow!!). We love it here!!! Whether it's a date night or a night out with friends, this place is our new go-to.

I really wanted to like this place, but man, did we have a lot of mediocre food last night. The salad with bites of pastrami and a "10 minute egg" was flavorless. The pastrami was indistinguishable from store bought bacon bits (bigger pieces might have helped), and the egg was just a cold, fully hard boiled egg. Calling it a '10 minute egg' had me thinking that it would be served warm with a runny yolk. Nope. The mussels in pernod cream desperately needed salt and flavor. The cream had a whiff of licorice from the pernod but not much else. Also, it should have come with more than just 2 dinky crostini. The duck wings were tasty enough, but with all the batter and sauce, it was hard to tell they were duck. Why not just serve chicken wings? They're cheaper and less gimmicky. The scallops were the one bright spot. Well seasoned and seared, though the dish would have been better without so much gloppy cream sauce. Lastly, the place needs a serious design makeover. It's too dark, the walls are too bare, and they need to ditch the tv's. I'm sure I'm sounding like an overly critical d-bag, but if I'm going to pay those prices, I'd rather go to 1201 Kitchen.

Bertrand is an artist with food. This tapas place has a great atmosphere, great drinks and really unique food. Almost feels like you're not in Erie Must try the duck wings and fried peppers.

I came here with my family on a Wednesday at 630 and although we had reservations we really didn't need them. On the weekends you will though. I ordered the entree scallop and although it was very good it was a bit too spiced up. It didn't advertise the pepper so be wary. We also ordered mussles and the traditional poutine which was very good! Their wine selection is impressive and our server was very attentive and nice. Would come back again.

Fantastic food and service. This has quickly become our favorite spot in town. Especially fond of the tacos (pork and shark ones), duck wings, the Australia burger (probably one of the best burgers I've eaten), and the peanut butter pie with bacon. Atmosphere is great and so is the happy hour (4-6)!

We made reservations for dinner on a Tuesday night. Reservations weren't necessary. Started off with a sauvignon blanc, mussels, and the traditional poutine. Amazing! For the main course I had a malbec and the sliders trio (black & bleu, western, and Bacon Cheese). Again amazing! I would not hesitate to go back to this restaurant!

Great wine selection, food menu is pretty impressive, and the lobster poutine is just to die for. Servers and bartenders are always professional and happy. Bonus points for the variety of seating options, from a ridiculously comfortable couch and chair set to high-tops, bar seats, standard 4-tops along the windows, and an outdoor patio. Really not the outrageously priced place people seem to think it is. Be there for happy hour, and have a delicious dinner and wine for $25 or less.

Wow! What a super spot for Erie! We are visiting from the DC area and met friends there for supper last night. My husband had gnocchi, my friend had pork loin and her husband and I had Scottish salmon which was on special. The ambiance was lively and fun, our server Nick was very attentive, and we thought the place was fantastic!!

Loved the duck wings and pork belly. Wine selection was excellent. Kids foods were great too. Deep fried Oreos were fantastic. We were just passing by Erie but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Nice atmosphere and family friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone who is visiting Erie.

We tried Cloud 9 for the first time tonight and it was fantastic! My husband and I shared the traditional poutine and the fig/prosciutto pizza. The poutine was delicious and the flavors of the pizza were so complex. We also shared a Chocolate Sangria cake which was so good I almost licked the plate! The atmosphere was classy, but warm and comfortable. The staff was attentive and the prices were quite reasonable. We will definitely be back!

I am, above other things, a true wine lover, so of course I had to check this place out. The food is delicious and the wine is plentiful, so it's a hit in my book. I especially like that you can sample wines here, which is a pretty rare find in an Erie restaurant. The only things I wish they had were more vegetarian options and wine flights so I could enjoy even more of their delicious offerings!

I really enjoyed the fig and prosciutto pizza and the duck wings. The other pizzas are OK. Wine selection and service are very good.

We were spending one night in Erie and chose this place after reviewing the menu online. We arrived around 6:30 on Saturday without reservations and the place was packed. Luckily there were 2 seats at the bar! The service was fantastic...there were 3 bartenders and a manager working behind the bar and everyone was very friendly and accomodating. My husband had the lobster Poutine - basically french fries with cheese curds, cheese sauce and big chunks of sweet lobster meat - he was happy. I had the appetizer special which was Ahi Tuna Nachos. The tuna was delicous but when the plate came out the tuna was on one side of the plate and the nacho chips were on the other and trying to put the nacho together was tedious so I just at the fish with a fork and munched on the chips - it would have been better if it came out already assembled. We also shared the lamb meatball appetizer which was really tasty. I would highly recommend this place....the prices are fair and the food was very good. One thing that we noticed is that even though it wasn't a huge space and it was really busy...it wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation and we really liked that. If we return to Erie, we will eat here again without a doubt.
