They make their own ice cream and it's fabulous. This is the perfect place for soup and a sandwich. They always have 5-10 different soups available and the broccoli and cheese and maryland crab are my favorites. Please try the pumpkin spice ice cream, if you get the chance. unfortunately it's seasonal and only available in the fall. They also make the best oreo milkshake i've ever had! Food is really cheap and they hand-carve their own turkey breast, so you won't be getting any of that fake super thinly sliced deli turkey that's pre-formed into some weird ball shape. :)

sandwich $5.50 and chef salad $6.00. ice tea $1 and all nine of us went and had a good time and the bill was nice to see. the waitress was not overly friendly but she did a good job. ice cream was very good. it is laid back and many local people go so it has a good reputation. BLT looked amazing. kids can relax and make noise. I recommend it to family people with kids for sure. for a steak I will go to The Brickerville house though. LOL

I eat here quite often for breakfast and lunch. I must say that the food is good as is the service. They do not have an extensive menu, mostly lighter fare such as soups, salads and sandwiches. They also specialize in ice cream, with lots of ice cream memorabilia. I would recommend that you try it.

Have been here a couple times and haven't been disappointed yet. Great decor, like you are in a dairy barn. Friendly staff and good food.

The place is adorable! The ice cream was delicious and the young man that served us was uber polite and helpful. The place is huge and has the most amazing display of over 100 antique ice cream scoops. It opens at 5:30 daily for breakfast. My cheesecake chocolate chip cone was very yummy!

Good food and great ice cream. Quick service and inexpensive!

I have been here on a few occasions and agree with Paul. The food is decent, service is good and prices are fairly reasonable. Their ice cream is homemade and it is delicious. Try their sundae if you go. I will definitely be back again.

Easy to find on 322 with their own lot. Plenty of space to sit down. $3.92 for 2 1-scoop bowls of ice cream. Each scoop was huge. The ice cream was creamy but with good flavor. Nothing fake here. This will be a regular stop for us with the kids.

I've never had ice cream here, just soup and sandwiches. They were good, nothing to rave about. The food menu is very limited. I'm vegetarian and there are no meatless options except for grilled cheese or a plain salad. There were five soup choices and only one was meatless. It's a very nice place, prices were reasonable and the service was good, so I would go back to check out the ice cream, but for soup and a sandwich I'd rather go to Panera Bread.

I love the food at Udder Choice. I do not like the wait. But the price is right as well. Enjoy their wall of ice cream scoopers and their attractive decor.

Stopped in for breakfast this past week while on vacation. Love the decor, there were so many metal signs to look at adoring the walls. I had the creamed beef over white toast -- enjoyed it. Everyone else liked their breakfasts also. Service was friendly and prompt.

The soup and deserts are always incredible ! The breakfast is good and the service is awesome as well. Although their sandwich / lunch menu is very small the sandwiches are very good. Be prepared to read what is included on your sandwich and be ready to pay 75 cents extra for bacon on your club sandwich. Who ever heard of a roast beef club without bacon ? Evidently the owner of this restaurant ! All sandwiches are served with chips and there is no option for fries because they don't have a fryer but that's ok because they always have at least 8 soups on tap and they all taste like homemade. Overall a good choice if your looking for a good breakfast or a sandwich and soup for lunch or dinner.

The Udder Choice is sporadic at best. The only reason that I even gave it 2 stars is because their ice cream is homemade, quite good, & extremely reasonable. There are some items on their menu that are ok-like a melted ham & Swiss on a pretzel roll. I ordered one of their salads, & got a bowl of wilted & brown iceberg lettuce with wilted veggies. It was one of the worst salads I've ever had. During one visit I was told that all of the soups were homemade. The next time-I was told that some were homemade. The cream of asparagus soup was horrible-the asparagus was extremely straw-like & stringy. The service is usually OK-nothing great, nothing bad-usually. On one occasion we had a real charmer that never smiled & rolled her eyes and/or said nothing when we requested items that she had forgotten from our original order. The food is just very inconsistent. Would I go back? Yes. Again-the homemade ice cream is worth the trip. The sundaes? We've all had better. Just stick to plain old ice cream at this place. The regular food is a crap shoot. Note: to date-I have not been here for breakfast-so this review is not NOT based on their breakfast service-just lunch, dinner and of course-the ice cream

Woooow! The food was awesome, our party had the broccoli soup that was very good, the sandwiches were all great, the service was most incredible. We also had milk sakes and ice cream, it's to bad we wasted our time going to turkey hill the day before. We will be going back!!!!

Nice open building with high ceilings. We went there around noon, and the staff seemed a little underprepared for a crowd, which on assuming happens every day anyway. The server seemed nice enough but was more concerned about asking us if the check would be split than to tell us her name. The portions were smaller than most places, but a great idea when it comes to upselling; you save room for their house-made ice cream. The sweet tea was nice, and refills were free, which was a plus. I had a reuben for lunch, which came with kettle chips and some pickle slices. It was delicious. The beef refused to tear apart so it was messy, but the cooks can't help that. I got a small peanut butter swirl sundae which came topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry. It was a perfect size, and delicious. The meal was nicely priced, $10.60 for two courses and a drink. I'm sure I'll be going again.

This is a good spot for grown ups. Would not recommend for kids, limited choices. Unless you are going there just for icecream, kids love icecream no matter what. Their food is good but honestly i would just go for icecream.

Good food, cheap prices, pretty atmosphere. Fresh, homemade ice cream and good toppings.

This is a simple sandwich and ice cream place. The food is very good and the atmosphere is fun and nostalgic. A lot of local senior citizens eat here, but it's family oriented as well. The prices are fantastic. It's a definite stop when we're in the area.

This review is for the Ice Cream... We ate dinner elsewhere close by... My Significant other, and our friends are extreme fans of ice cream, especially homemade... It's crazy we never stopped here till now... Everyone was pleased with their choices. I had the Heath Coffee and it was very good creamy and flavorful... We all can't wait to go back again! We will try there food next time.. Also they have really good hours open on Sunday too!

Really like this place and the atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Only wish they had a few more options for dinner.
