Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Grotto is not my favorite place to eat, it's overpriced for the quality of the food and the service is usually lacking. However, it works in a pinch and their pizza isn't that bad. We went last night because we had been wanting to try their gelato. I got a scoop of chocolate which was delicious and a scoop of caramel, which was grainy. My husband's, however, was like eating a bowl of sand! He only ate a few bites before he gave up. Gelato is supposed to be a thick creamy texture. At the register they asked how we liked the gelato and my husband commented on the gelato being grainy and perhaps they needed to check it or be careful when preparing it. The cashier blew us off, saying "Gelato is supposed to be thicker." He told her it wasnt an issue of thickness and he was familiar with how gelato should be prepared... that this was an issue of being poorly made as it has the texture of wet sand. She gave him a blank stare and said nothing. Lesson learned: no more grotto! No more gelato.

My kiddos and I love grotto pizza. When we go I get the veggie bianco with no onions or mushrooms. It is soooooo yummy! My kiddos get the breadsticks and chicken tenders. The ranch dressing there is home made and is awesome to use as a dip. My kids and I dip our pizza and breadsticks in it! It is kid friendly and great atmosphere! The grandslam wings are spicey but yummy!!!

It's fine. If you are a little league team and need to feed a gaggle of kids for cheep. And there is skeeball and games in the back.

Used to be great, WB location is better, lake is worse. I've never considered Grotto pizza to be great but their boli's are pretty good. Wings are good too. Beer selection is decent. Game and party rooms are pretty cool

Ordered delivery . Asked for crispy wings with my pizza deal . Pizza was cold and lacked flavor , wings room temp and chewed like they were boiled . 18.99 deal with delivery and tip cost me $26 hard earned dollars . Never again

Good pizza, not greatest. This location is better than Harvey's Lake. Waitress here was friendly.

This place has turned into a major disappointment. The food quality and service has gone down the drain. I've been coming here for years and its just been getting worse and worse. The dough now tastes like cardboard, the sauce is bland and if you get delivery, expect to pay a "delivery fee" and for that fee, your food will show up COLD. I dont know why I keep ordering from them, its probably because Ive been going there for years but enough is enough. Over priced , poor quality and poor service. They even charge you for blue cheese! Even the chain stores like dominos and papa johns will give you your choice of dipping sauce with your order for free. sad. really sad what grotto has become.

I've been eating Grotto Pizza for years. Not only is the pizza consistently tasty, it reminds me of the Delaware beaches (where the other half of the Grotto chain is). So you could say I have a soft spot in my heart for the brand. This Edwardsville location used to be average. It had a small dining room, a cramped feel, and a pretty lame delivery scheme. Over the years, things have really turned around. The expanded dining room into the former neighboring business is a huge upgrade for this location. Grotto has also added a selection of gelato, which has somehow gone completely unnoticed by reviewers (it is no secret people in this region have no idea how awesome gelato is, as they are stuck in the '40s eating their curly vanilla soft ice cream cones). They are also extremely loyal to their favorite pizza places. That's why the overall rating for this Grotto is deceptive, and harsh. If you remove the personal attacks and non-substantive writings and their associated ratings on this Web site, the restaurant moves closer to an appropriate 4-star rating. It's understandable if Grotto's light brand of pizza is not your favorite, 5-star pizza in an area dominated by amazing pizza spots, but it is not deserving of some of the back-handed hatred in these reviews.

Made my first Harvey's Lake Grott Pizza stop, got a chicken cheesesteak stromboli. pretty good, huge size for $8. They have a big dining section and a takeout area with arcades and some booths, im giving it 3 stars just from the fact that they have a clean and working SPIDERMAN ARCADE GAME FROM 1991!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good solid pizza. Definitely a step up from the chains but not truly amazing.
