My family and I have been going to Steve's for many years. Many times we'd order their delicious Sicilian pizza. Unfortunately, after our terrible experience tonight, we have vowed never to patronize Steve's ever again. We ordered a Sicilian pie and it took extra long to arrive at our table.and It was not piping hot as it normally is. ( not that big of a deal ...right?) While eating our semi warm pizza, we all noticed it seemed to have a strange taste. When we smelled the bottom of the pizza, it had a familiar odor......dish soap! We told the waitress who also smelled a piece of the pizza and concurred with our assessment. She put an order for another pie and at no point apologized for the bad experience or inconvenience. When the bill came there was no consideration for our bad experience with the pizza. . Upset at this point, I decided to speak with the manager about our terrible experience. The manager made no effort whatsoever to accept responsibility for what happened. He said that he tasted the pizza and did not feel there was an issue with it. He also said that he's made hundreds of pizzas and no one has ever complained about the tasting like this before. No apology was ever made, he was rude and actually just walked away from me. A very disappointing experience for us but judging from the other negative reviews on Yelp, we are not alone.

I called to order a Sicilian pizza last week and was given a number and told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Went there in time and waited an additional 20 minutes while 4 other people with numbers higher than mine came in and picked up their pizza. At one time they had the best pizza around but lately not as good along with their service. Sauce on the pizza was a bit runny.

Pizza and service has always been great. The Sicilian is especially good. I usually get mine with steak and sausage.

Will never return. Food is ok, service is terrible. We went for lunch, and told them we had to be out in 1 hour. We couldn't get pizza and sandwiches in that time and got back to work late. It wasn't busy either.

Take the pies to go because the waitresses are THE WORST. They are lazy, rude, and just don't give a crap about doing their jobs. The sicillian pie is really great. I love it. My suggestion is to call ahead and pick it up or have it delivered because sitting down to eat it is a CHORE. Their regular pizza is just ok. A little bit greasy sometimes but slightly inconsistent. Also, The small sicillian isn't that great of a deal. Its a VERY VERY small pie. Too small compared to others. I know my boyfriend can eat a small sicillian pie in one sitting. It actually equates to 3 slices you would get at the counter in the back. Overall, their sicillian is really really good. Just get it to GOOO. I wish this place would take responsibility for their crappy waitresses. They really need to be fired.

Used to be THE best place to go in and just buy a slice of pizza. While the quality of the food has not changed, the atmosphere has - the owner (of all people) was so rude to us last time that we walked out. It's really a shame, since it was my favorite pizza - but not worth how you're treated.

We went to Steve's this past weekend. It used to be one of our favorite places to go and we haven't been in a long time so we figured why not. We walked in through the back and saw that the bar was pretty packed. As we stood at the "hostess will seat you" sign we saw that there were several tables occupied, and just as many that we're empty however filthy from the previous guests. After waiting for almost 10 minutes my husband went to look for a waitress to seat us. When he found someone, her response was, "good luck finding a table"! With that said we turned around and walked out and went somewhere else. We were so disappointed by the lack of service and the uncleanliness of the restaurant. We'll never go back again! Entirely too many better restaurants to chose from. Sorry Steve's but you fell off and aren't what you used to be. Best of luck.

Sicilian Pies are good. Problem with the food is it is not consistent. One day you may get a good pie and another day you might get one with WAY to much tomato sauce. Side note: Construction is being done to put a traffic light at the corner. Currently parking in the front of the building is dangerous and will only get worse with the light right there. THIS IS NOT A STEVE'S ISSUE, but worth mentioning if you want to run in when they are busy to pick up a pie.

Food is very good, but last 2 out of 3 times we ordered takeout, the order was missing an item. Luckily, we had not been charged for the food in both cases. If ordering takeout, double check. I don't understand why this happens. But the Sicilian pizza is great, as are the entrees.

I hate Steves with a passion. Their pizza is really terrible. There never seems to be enough sauce, and the crust is like cardboard. Also, for such terrible pizza its really expensive. I think a pizza with mushroom and onions cost like 18 bucks. their pizza several times and it was never any good. Besides their pizza I've had an italian sub, which was ok (thats not saying much because its hard to eff up) but we ordered it to go and when we got home we realized they hadn't put any oil and vinegar on it like we asked.

Best Sicilian-style pizza and antipasto salad in the area. White pizza is also very tasty, while pasta/sandwich dishes are good, but not great. Service is good depending on who you get.

Steve's has always been a restaurant that was close to my family. Until tonight. We would always go for the signature Sicilian pizza. Tonight after a 40 min wait our pie smelled and tasted like dirty DISH SOAP. We eventually received a new pie which was not much better. There were no apologies from the staff and an even worse response from the MANAGER OF THE RESTAURANT. The manager was extremely dismissive, didn't apologize and was overall extremely rude. All he could say was that they don't make their pizza with chemicals instead of admitting to an obvious mistake. I will NEVER eat here again. Very disappointed.

I was not a huge fan of Steve's until..... I tried their Sicilian!!!!!!!! The best and I mean best in the area! I will not get it anywhere else...unless they are closed or I am unable to operate a vehicle.

As a native Brooklynite, I find it difficult to find great pizza outside of the City. My favorite of all time is L&B Spumoni Gardens in Bensonhurst, so when I found a comparable Sicilian pie at Steve's, I was hooked. LET ME BE CLEAR, THIS PIZZA IS AWESOME! Not just awesome for Pennsylvania, but this pizza could hold its own in Brooklyn. My sub-standard rating is for the service. I have ordered from Steve's a handful of times and each time, there is something amiss with the service. Here is what I have seen thus far: 1. On my first visit, I forgot the number I was told over the phone. I felt as though I was "punished" a bit, because I waited in the restaurant about 20 minutes after I showed up. I was given the very last Sicilian in the oven. Don't get me wrong, it was fresh, but on the way out I was told to not forget my number next time. 2. On my second visit, I called ahead (I remembered my number this time), and my order was 1 small Sicilian and an order of buffalo wings. When I asked the girl as to what kind of flavors were offered on the wings, the response was "I dunno." I had to ask her to ask someone to find out. I am very sorry I asked such an off the wall question. 3. On my most recent visit, nothing went awry on my end, but upon arrival to pick-up my pizza, there was constant bickering between staff. In front of the customers. I know that by continuing to patronize, I am only supporting this bad behavior. But the pizza is legit. Maybe someone will see this that works at Steve's and inspire change, I can only hope because a pizzeria/Italian restaurant should be a place that is welcoming and comfortable and treats their guests like they are valued. Because the hard part is already figured out for them, the food is AWESOME!

Ok this has nothing to do with service. I've been here twice now and gotten a pizza with friends and upon getting home had intense stomach pains and I don't have a weak stomach. For some reason I have a really bad reaction to their food and my friend did too. Be careful! Their food tAstes good though :)
