What a great place! I stopped in here with a couple friends after touring the Weyerbacher Brewery and we were all in the mood for a nice burger. Thankfully, we were in luck and they make one hell of a cheeseburger! It was huge, juicy, and it came with amazing french fries. They also have a pretty good selection of beer and really a great atmosphere. I will definitely stop in again if I'm around Easton!

The beer selection, food and atmosphere is great. I only gave them three stars bc the bartender (Katie) was absolutely abysmal. A friend and I walked in and we were basically ignored by her. It took several minutes to finally get her to wait on me. It was as if she was doing us a favor by waiting on us. Never offered menus or anything. She was what I would call, "slackadasical". It was very frustrating bc I really liked the place... Minus this bartender who should look for another career path. I would have rated this 4 stars if it wasn't for the poor service we received.

Good food and lots of good beers on tap. Also great cocktails. I also like that the menu changes from time to time.

I really enjoyed my visit here! We came here on a visit to the area and not knowing the area at all. We chose this restaurant based on an area guide book and yelp reviews. It was good decision! The food is fantastic. We ended up ordering two burgers and beer battered cod and everything was great. The burgers were perfectly cooked, the fish was crisp and tender. We also had crab poutine as an appetizer and that was probably our favorite (but it also really filled us up). They have a decent variety of beers on tap. The only problem we had was that it was a bit of a wait to get seated, to get our orders placed and for our orders to arrive. It's probably just me but I'm not very impatient and what really made up for the wait was the service. It's understandable that there's probably going to be a bit of a wait on a Labor Day weekend night, but the hostess and our server were really nice, apologetic and and did their best to be accommodating so we didn't mind as much. Overall, it was a pretty good experience and most importantly, we loved the food.

Lunch with my family. Excellent beer and burgers. Highly recommend and would come back again.

5 Stars for the grass fed burgers and beer selection... Went for lunch after visiting Lafayette College with my daughter. We both ordered a burger and they were well worth it. Service was fast, friendly and gave you your space while being attentive.

Love this place! Have gone on many occasions, holidays, birthdays, friday nights, just an awesome place. Staff is always very friendly and courteous. They have a decent menu, pretty good wings, and a good beer selection. Mostly craft beers, but every time I have gone, the first beer I selected was kicked. But thankfully they have a lot of great local brewers to provide backup. And they have a members rewards program that is pretty decent. highly recommend.

Lazy summer afternoon sitting outside. Restaurant is right on the Easton circle. Big selection of beers on tap. PBR for 2 bucks. I had a Martini which seemed appropriately spirited. Quite a few other restaurants around. A fair number of motorbikes too - so noisy sometimes. Overall it was enjoyable, though not sure how I might like it on a crowded night. Restaurant staff were polite and service was fairly good. The hostess even walked over and gave me parking meter tips even though she didn't know I was going to eat there.

Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Food was very good especially the local grass fed hamburger. The only complaint is the hamburgers come with yam chips or macaroni salad and if you want fries that will cost you an extra $2.25 and you don't get very many. I think it should be the other way around charge for the yam chips but definitely serve fries with a burger. Other than that a great place and will definitely be returning and bringing more and more people!

I am going to be brutally honest here, I had really bad service here. The service stooped to level of public humiliation. The night was 07-30-11. I was in town to see a show. I drafted this review immediately upon the incident, and sat on it for 2 years because I thought it was harsh, but I am still fuming with anger 2 years later. If the manager still works there, I think that future customers need to know. I ordered a beer and a water. The beer came fast. The water never came even after a couple reminders. The bartenders seemed disinterested in serving. Small change compared to what was to ensue. I was absolutely starving and had an hour before the concert I was attending at the state theatre. I ordered the burger no cheese ( I can't do lactose) and no mayo. I waited for about 35 minutes before my burger came out. Slothering in mayonaise. I mentioned to my server that the burger had mayo on it and I had ordered it without. He told me that there was nothing he could do (really, there's nothing you can do?). I asked him to take it away, I did not want it. He said I will still have to pay for it. He brought out a manager who put the burger back in front of me and told me in a condescending tone that there was no cheese on it, and that eating mayo won't hurt me. I told him that I asked for no mayo because I think it's disgusting. He said that they could do was get me a new bun and wipe off the mayo. I told him I did not like that option and I would eat elsewhere. I threw down a $20 and while the bartender was getting my change, the manager went away for about 30 seconds and wiped off the mayo and brought it out and said to me that I would not taste the difference. I said keep the burger. I paid for it because the manager was getting visibly angry and even started making comments trying to get other customers to see his point about me being unreasonable. All I wanted to do was get as far away from there as fast as I could. They need to not be combative with their customers. I get infinitely better service at In and Out, but they don't have In and Out in Pennsylvania.

Salad was good. French fries were brown but undercooked (dirty oil). Chicken dumpling soup had no chicken or dumplings.
(2)Greg L.
We stopped in here with our two kids while visiting the Crayola Experience. It's less than a 5-minute walk from the Crayola attraction. They do offer a kids menu with items like chicken tenders, hot dog, peanut butter and jelly, and Mac-n-Cheese. My wife ordered the hamburger while I had the chicken salad sandwich. If you want fries with your meal, it's an additional $2. The waitress asked my wife if she wanted local beef for her burger, but failed to inform us that it would be an additional $2 for that as well. My chicken salad was OK but the chicken pieces were rather big. I did not like the side of potato salad that it came with. It was basically cut-up red potatoes with some celery in it, but it was drowning in a sauce. Service was very good. We would try some of the other places in the area the next time we visit.
(3)Adam M.
Bottom Line: Probably good for drinkers/college kids but NOT a family place. If you're looking for a place to eat after visiting Crayola, go somewhere else. Came here around 3:30 last Saturday after visiting the Crayola factory with my family. The place was not full but it wasn't dead either, and I got the idea that this was a common destination for such tourists, due to the proximity (it's right across the street). The food was mediocre at best and the service was worse. Our sodas were completely flat so we switched to iced teas. We had to ask for refills several times during the meal. The waitress kept apologizing but made no effort to improve the service. Our entrees took about 40 minutes from when we ordered to when they were served. We ordered: Buffalo Wings - very good Onion rings - soggy and over-seasoned Turkey burger - had an over-seasoned and 'old' taste, like when meat is left in the freezer too long. French Onion Soup - good Smokehouse burger - very good, the highlight of the meal and I appreciated the option of locally grown beef for $2 more. White bean 'hummus'. - Extremely, overbearingly garlicky - and this is not a common complaint from me as I LOVE garlic. It was also over-seasoned like some of the other items and had some strange red stuff on top that looked like ketchup. I normally would not have even bothered to write this review, however I could not believe the attitude we got from a 'manager' after the meal was over. He came over to ask how the meal was and my mother mentioned that my sister was not happy with her turkey burger, and rather than apologizing and offering to do something about it, he replied with a snide and entitled attitude. The place has an impressive selection of beers and seems to be trying to appeal to college kids/heavy drinkers. That's fine, but don't try to cater to families if you're not interested in serving them.

Good thing the tip was on the bill because the service was less than desirable. They were not that busy.
(3)Rhino V.
Stopped in last Sat for a late lunch. Sat at bar, due to time was kinda slow. I had two specials, one soup & the other a pita crab salad wrap. Soup was good, but was small & could have used more ingredients. Crab salad wrap was ehh, was a bit too fishy for me. Probably won't go back unless I'm in the area & starving. Service was fine.
(3)Liz W.
Solid. I've had everything from "exquisite" to "meh" caliber entrees here over the years, but overall, I keep going back for decent food, great bar, low prices, attractive dining space and appreciation for Pearly's as a "good citizen" and one of the longest-running restaurants in downtown.
(4)Jeremy M.
Nice bar and friendly staff. Good selection of beer. Jamaican jerk burger was a good size and good flavor. Yam chips (sweet potato chips) came with and were your basic nothing fancy but good. Also had the seafood linguine, wife liked it. I didn't care for the flavor but it was good. I would recommend if you want a good burger and beer.
(4)Scott R.
Nicely done. Pub food gone upscale. Family-friendly - at least at 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The very lightly dressed cabbage slaw on my cod sandwich was a crisp and tasty addition. Wifey's steak salad looked delish. And choosing from among the 20 beers on tap was a refreshing conclusion to a few hours at the Crayola museum with the kids. We'd definitely come back to this little gem.

NEVER AGAIN! I went to Pearly Baker's for lunch on a saturday afternoon. I ordered the chopped salad with no onions or cheese and with dressing on the side and the black bean pumpkin burger. The salad came with cheese and already dressed. The burger was dry and tasteless. Our waiter was good but another server attempted to help my dining companion with his order which was a mess and was argumentative and rude. Whatever happened to customer service? I had high hopes for this place due to positive reviews. HUGE disappointment. With the abundant excellent restaurants nearby on the square, there is no reason to waste my time or money at Pearly Bakers again.

Had lunch at Pearly Bakers. French soup was great, but got a burger that was raw, not rare, raw as in the meat was still cold. Sent it back and needed to have them package it up for takeout. The told me they would making me a new one and would be out in a few minutes. Waiter was great, manager never even bothered coming over. Long story short. Got home pulled burger out to heat up, still really rare, and was just the same burger with everything scraped off and piled back on after their failed attempt to recook it. Burger was beyond sub par. Mostly bun. Maybe it would have tasted better if imwas aboe to eat it the first time. Reminded me of a before resturant on Kitchen Nightmares..... dont wast your time if you're looking for a good meal.

Pleasant place to dine! Good burgers will diner here again!

Well I have to admit I haven't been anyplace in a long time that I haven't reviewed. Odd circumstances lead me to Pearly Baker's for the first time in year's. I'm glad I went. The beer selection is excellent and the food remains good.I had the Ale burger rare with local beef and thank God , it was rare ! The local beef, which you pay extra for ,sounds like a gimmick but it was good. For a lunch spot with few pretensions ,I don't think you can do better in Easton.
(3)Michele B.
typical pub atmosphere. They do have some organic local options on the menu which scores points with me. Staff is friendly.

After much deliberation on where to eat dinner last Saturday, we decided to do drinks and appetizers at Pearly Baker's. We were on our way to a jazz show across the circle, allowing a little over an hour to eat. The only unfortunate part of the evening was that the outside seating was full (only ~6 bistro style tables out front), which wasn't a total surprise, as it was perfect "eating outside weather". The hostess was apologetic and seated us at a high-top table in the barroom, explaining that this would be the next best place to sit for drinks and apps. She also complimented my dress - great way to win me over :) The decor is lovely - exposed brick, skylight, wooden/mirrored bar, and vintage style decor. Above the bar, they have all of the currently unused tap handles displayed - rows and rows of them! very creative! Also, there's a small stage/platform near the front of the bar where there is often free live music on the weekends. Our server arrived at the table promptly with water glasses and menus, and gave us a few minutes to look over the martini menu (most of which are ~$8 - same price as a glass of wine!) and list of 20+ draught beer. The martinis are all named after Grateful Dead songs, ranging from Terrapin Station to Sugar Magnolia. As indicated in my quick tip, the Hell in a Bucket martini, with beefeater gin, dry vermouth, grand marnier, and champagne, was excellent! Perhaps one of my favorite martinis to date. Chris had a Harpoon IPA which was on special for only $2. The menu isn't huge. However, as someone who always struggles with what to order, I find I prefer trimmed down and to-the-point menus. We ordered the onion soup (french style - with bread and cheese, of course), skirt steak salad with house made blue cheese dressing, and the Center Square burger (with cheddar and bacon jam, yum!). All of their burgers can be upgraded to local beef for and additional $2. We ordered a medium burger (a compromise between my medium-rare and the bf's medium-well taste). It was beautifully cooked, though perhaps a little more to the rare side. The server, as well as the manager, checked in on us several times throughout the meal. We had no problem ordering, eating, and paying within our allotted hour before the show, without even feeling rushed. The barroom was fairly empty - a combination of the 8pm between dinner and bar time and the summer exodus of Lafayette students. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan to return, for sure!

Great find in close proximity to the Crayola factory. Had the Onion soup (without cheese) and the Centre Square Burger which was all delicious and made from scratch. The soup without cheese, yes and it was very flavorful. It is a major plus that they get all local food and offer the option of grass fed beef for your burger. It will get it's fifth star when I go there for a beer. They are moderately priced for the upper end drinks but the cheapest domestic is Yuengling for $4. Meh.
(4)Melinda S.
It's really a 3.5 but, not an option so here we go. I came with the family after a day at the Crayola Factory, place was not busy but not empty either. Service was "Meh". She seemed borderline annoyed she had to take our order, but did warm up after a while. The food was pretty good - let's say standard. White bean hummus was good - had pureed sun dried tomato on it - Yum. Turkey burger was a bit over seasoned. Salmon burger was tasty. The kids got chix fingers (3) and fries (a small child's hand full). Kids ate everything - but my 6 year old was still hungry. Beers are great!

Great place on the circle in Easton for dinner or drinks. This is my go-to place when I'm in Easton proper. Their beer selection is almost alwys interesting, and they tend to have at least one or two brews from Weyerbacher on tap, including some of thier limited edition stuff. The food is great also. They have both pub fare and more upscale entrees. Last time I had dinner there I had their tuna francese, which was a big hunk of sushi-grade tuna, dredged in some egg batter, and cooked rare, served over seasoned mashed potatoes and some other additions. Delicious, but that was a while ago so I'm not sure it's still on the menu. Regardless, the other food I've had has always been tasty. Stop by here if you're in town.

In an effort to get out of town and try something new, my boyfriend and I made the short drive to Easton and hit up Pearly Baker's. It's got a nice atmosphere in the roomy bar. We'd wanted to sit outside, but the outside seating is very limited, so we ended up inside at a high top table. The decor behind the wall is one of the best features of the place - dozens of tap handles line the upper wall, waiting to be switched out when each tap's respective beer is available. The menu seemed limited, but despite not having a huge selection, what food they do have to offer is great. I braved the Kashmiri Chicken Salad - I say braved because it's not typical pub fare. Per their website: Kashmiri masala spiced local chicken breast, sweet peppadews, spiced chick peas, red onion, grilled pita, field greens, curried coconut dressing. Omigoodness delicious. I used the pita to treat the salad as a sandwich, wrapping the tasty contents up and devouring them. The beer selection was also excellent. 20 beers, ever-changing, on tap with more bottles and a selection of wines and numerous cocktails. Would definitely recommend and return.

Decent veggie burger, good beer selection
(3)Krista P.
Best turkey burger I've ever had (HIGHLY recommend) - and management was cool with our huge double stroller - great beer too! Love family friendly restaurants that serve real food.
(5)Scott J.
Went there for dinner and had the fish and chips. The portions were very generous and took the leftovers home with me. The IPA menu is outstanding and was able to sample one that peaked my interest before ordering a pint. The staff there were knowledgeable of the menu, very friendly, and there when needed. I am definitely going back again to have one of the burgers!
(4)Maurice K.
We loved this place. Food was excellent. Squirrel was nuts. The zombie pub crawl on our way out was hilarious.
(4)Jonathan G.
Surprisingly good food. The bar basics--fries, sweet potato chips, chicken fingers--were excellent, the salad was fresh, and the (home made) veggie burger was excellent.
(4)Jennifer B.
The Center Circle in Easton is prominently known as the weekend drink spot for the areas youth; Pearly Baker's being no exception. They offer a full length bar with over a dozen local brews on tap, quaint old-fashioned booths, and often an array of live music. However, this is only one facet of this cool little pub. The interior is step back in time with original wood framing and molding, metal stamped ceilings, and a backroom with a chandelier containing over 9,000 Czech handmade crystals creating this speakeasy ballroom feeling. The beers are often local and the menu contains a variety of unique pub-style grub. I typically go for the standard pub burgers. The Bison burger has been well-cooked and seasoned each time I've ordered it and my Grandma (who is usually my lunch date here) is a big fan of their French Dip with ale house au jous. The salads, while not the healthiest, are typically delicious and most of their unique appetizers, including the yam chips, compliment their large beer selection pretty well. I think what I'm getting at in this review is that this a great place for a good beer and a low-key lunch, the dinner is often crowded, but for good reason, and their late night crowd is bustling and requires more than a few drinks to handle. But, as far as spots on the circle go, this one is one of the best.
(4)Bill M.
We arrived at this restaurant a little before noon on a weekday for lunch. The place was not crowded and there were several waitresses working the tables. After waiting about 10 minutes, our waitress came to the table and took our order. Our order was simple, a hamburger, a fish sandwich, their Alehouse (French) Dip sandwich and a cup of soup. After about 45 minutes, when we saw other customers, who arrived after us being served their food by the other waitresses, we flagged our waitress down to ask when our lunch would arrive. She said, "Oh, it's about ready now. But, I totally forgot your soup. Do you still want it"? When the food arrived, the Alehouse Dip sandwich was inedible; because, the meat had spent so much time under a heat lamp or in the oven to keep it warm, that it was burnt crispy. We sent that back. Although, barely warm, the other food tasted good. I'm giving this restaurant 1 star; because the service was the worst I've ever experienced.
(1)Todd P.
We had our first trip here and it was a good one. The atmosphere on the inside was something that made it easy to stay. The burgers we ordered were awesome as were the yam chips. The food was inexpensive and there is a nice beer selection. The only bad thing was once we sat down we must have waited 10 minutes before anyone came for our order and the place was empty. The manager apologized and offered the two of us both a free beer which was very generous. We both left happy and felt this place made the list of places we will return to.
(4)Jim D.
We came here on Saturday night at the last minute. Been to this bar/restaurant a few other times and the food was decent. I really like the ambiance this bar gives off - dimly lit, spacious yet cozy and generally a laid-back place to eat and drink. I believe Pearly's has gone non-smoking because I didn't smell the slightest stench of it. Sweet! Trust me, this place used to be a big ol' nasty cloud of yuck. The food was decent. Nothing to rave about. I did like that a third of their menu now offers local ingredients. That's a trend that I hope will soon become mainstream. Warning: the French onion soup tasted like hot, dirty bath water. It was bland and definitely lacking in almost any flavor. The prime rib was surprisingly good and helped erase the pitiful soup experience from my immediate memory. My neighbor next to me was devouring on what looked like some tasty, fat buffalo wings. I had to do my best and resist the urge of diving into his plate and lending him my gobbling expertise. Service was definitely on the slow side. Yes, it was a busy Saturday night, but we waited for a good 30 to 40 minutes between each course. That's a good amount of time anywhere. Not good!! Luckily, the beer selection was very good and that kept us content. Easton as a whole isn't my first city of choice to dine out but Pearly's is one of the better ones compared to some of the other mediocre establishments. I'd come back here again but I'm in no rush.
(2)Phil F.
My first trip will not be my last. Fabulous selection of beers with great food, in a relaxed comfortable fine atmosphere, with friendly service. A jewel in the Poconos.
(5)John T.
This place was recommended by a worker at the Crayola Factory. We are so glad he did. Food was great and the service could not be better. The manager took care a problem we had without batting an eyelash. And it wasn't a problem with the restaurant. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone was busy doing something. Excellent job! My only regret is that we cannot be in the area more often to enjoy this place again.
(5)Ellen K.
Pearly Baker's got a new chef in June and this was my first time back. NOT impressed. While the food was okay, the serving sizes were ridiculously small. My scallop ENTREE had two, yes, one - TWO scallops. To me, that's an appetizer portion, not an entree. My date got chicken and it was a small boneless breast. And the dressing on the Caesar salad had at least a tablespoon of sugar in the mix. Yuck, I couldn't eat it. We actually had to go buy food afterward, because dinner was not filling. Not sure we'll go again.
(2)Ashley E.
Great burgers - loved the "bacon jam" and the local beef. They were very accommodating to our noisy family who had just come from Crayola. Great beer selection.
(4)Kyle S.
Good beer selection, nice decor. Friendly staff. Not too many negatives. I'd say the only thing to be mindful of is that you're by eddy G's and Mothers so watch out for fights towards the end of the night
(4)Vanessa W.
Went here after a show at the State Theatre after hearing great things about it. I have mixed feelings about the place. It has a pub sort of feel in the front (they allow smoking). And a white linen dining area in the back complete with an absolutely HUGE chandelier. But the fare did not change between the two areas. You could still have a burger in the dining area, as well as moderately priced fine dining ($18-25). Although the food was tasty, they are having a bit of an identity crisis that just put things a bit off. In addition, they would not accept our coupon because my husband had a burger, rather than a dinner entree. (Nothing was stated on the coupon, only a minimum purchase we we met.) Although the waitress was relatively attentive she seemed only forcefully friendly. Overall the experience was ok, but I probably won't be running back anytime soon.
(3)Josh P.
The wait staff are very nice and helpful. The Mah-Mahi was fresh and tasty as was the French Onion soup. The only problem is that my wife does not cook with salt so I can tell the next day if a restaurant uses a lot of salt and on this night they did. I am still licking my lips at noon. Less salt and they can be a 4 star.
(3)Jeni A.
My husband ate at Pearly's a few years ago on an interview & enjoyed it so it seemed like the perfect spot to grab lunch before taking the kiddos to Crayola. At first I was skeptical, white tablecloths in the back room + my three rug rats (11, 7 & 2) but they are generally well-behaved so I was nervous but hopeful. The atmosphere for lunch was fine with the kids.. it isn't overly stuffy or quiet, they had 90's rock on which seemed counter intuitive to the white tablecloths but... so the food... We had two crocks of French Onion - one French style & one Boulder style, both very good. The soup of the day was a sweet potato poblano also extremely good, could have been a tad creamier. Calamari was excellent but the yam chips were left over from the previous day (some were a bit rubbery). Two of the boys had kids meals which were adequate. My oldest son & husband both had burgers (local meat) - both enjoyed them but thought the chef was heavy handed with the salt. I had a filet steak sandwich with Brie. It was great but again, a bit salty... the chef perhaps is a smoker? Overall it was probably a 3.5 so I'll bump to a 4 because it certainly was better than a chain.
(4)Peter V.
Went back to Pearly's the last time I was in the hometown, and I'm happy to see it's gone smoke-free (Sorry smokers, I like to taste my food, not the residue of ten thousand Marlboros.) I had two meals here, and both were worthy of an upscale pub: a fairly mouthwatering bacon mushroom burger made with local organically fed beef (oh, the joys of eating in a state where they know rare means rare), and a smoked Caesar salad entree that looked odd but tasted fantastic. The beer selection was as I remembered it, with a good sampling of local microbrews alongside the standbys. I still don't know quite what to make of the elegant dining room in the back, it's like the place is the love child of a brewpub and a country club. But when I think back to the olden days, when there wasn't anything downtown but some seedy old bars and white bread delis, well thank the gods for Pearly Baker's.
(3)Nicky R.
Our evening here got off to a slightly rough start with the couple entering before us allowing the door to shut in our faces and the hostess telling us that the chef is freaking out about the backup of orders in the kitchen. We were undeterred. Pearly Baker's is where we wanted to dine. We sat at the bar. The bartender was gregarious. My date had a very rich beer, with strong coffee overtones. I had Clos La Chance cabernet sauvignon, which I highly recommend. The scallops were delish with pork belly and a green veggie, possibly bok choy. He had the lamb chops. The cheesecake was outstanding. I thought the crust was as rich as the filling. I keep intending to try other places in the area, but instead return to Pearly Bakers. It has a warm, rich atmosphere, great selection of beers and wines, local dishes and the best cheesecake!

We went here for an early New Year's Eve dinner last year for our first visit. The atmosphere is quaint, cute, cozy. We sat at a pub table at the bar as we didn't have a reservation. The waitress was nice and prompt. They had a special prix fixe menu that evening for the occasion. I must admit, at this point I can't remember much of the menu, but I can say it was definitely not a stand-out, memorable meal. The one specific thing I do recall was a soup appetizer I ordered, which was described as a "lobster bisque". What I received was a tepid bowl of cream, with three chunks of lobster and a small puff pastry crouton on top -- and I mean that literally. I am certainly not a chef, but when I hear the word "bisque" I imagine a thickened creamy, flavorful soup, not quite a chowder, but defintely thicker than a broth - and with much more depth and flavor than what I was served. The dish seemed either entirely rushed or just completely off the mark. I am not a customer who complains or sends things back, and I just abhor people who take things like this out on the waitstaff -- so maybe it's my fault for not speaking up. I will be returning to PB's at some point I'm sure, but I will never ever order lobster bisque from here again.

I ate at Pearly Baker's last night for probably the 4th or 5th time. It was, by far, the best meal that I have had in the Lehigh Valley in quite a while. It seems as though many other restaurants are cutting back on quality and/or portions in an effort to keep prices reasonable. Pearly Baker's, on the other hand, remains a high quality restaurant. We were promptly seated upon arrival (we had a reservation) and received top notch service throughout our visit. We will definitely return!
(5)Laci S.
Love it! Completely smoke free, the other reviews must be older. Friendly staff, great food, from burgers and salads to more unusual dishes. Fantastic unusual beer selection, live music wed- sat nights! Great restaurant and bar.

Right on the traffic circle in Easton. Nice pub, good beer selection (about 12) and good pub grub.

Many years ago back in the BC days (you know, before children) the old lady and I would frequent a fair amount of State Theatre shows and Pearly Baker's would normally be where we would go for pre-show festivities. We hadn't been in a few years and looking at Yelp I was surprised to see only a three and a half star overall listing. Looking into this a bit more while cross referencing things with our most recent visit last month led me to the following thoughts: * There are clearly a lot of fake-shill reviews for this place which Yelp is letting stay on their listing. Most are a few years old but there is no way this place ever got that bad just like there is no way that it's five star either. * It terms of being kid friendly, with their current promo of kids eat for $1 I think that's pretty kid friendly and people are dialed into it seeing as during our visit probably 2/3 of the tables had kids at them. The kids menu itself is nothing special but at the very least they let you sub sides very easy and the portion size for something like the chicken fingers is certainly not on the small side so now complaints here. * The lunch menu in particular really hasn't changed much in years. Not to say that what's there is bad, but at the same time I can remember several items being more or less the same from years ago. For the adult portion of the program, we both got some kind of a sandwich special that I forget the same of but it was good and the yam chips are not half bad either. On the downside, the idea of an over two dollar upcharge for fries is insane. * The menu is very well laid out and I can't see how people could have a problem with it. If you have a common dietary restriction it's listed. The upcharge for fries is listed. The upcharge for local grass fed beef is listed. If you didn't see it, it's probably not their fault. * The one knock on this place that I do agree with is the service. We came on a Saturday during I guess what you could call the end of the lunch rush and there were simply too many tables with too few servers getting stretched very thin. Also it didn't help that our gal liked to hang out at the far side of the bar and chat with the bartender while refills were needed, plates had to be cleared, checks needed to get settled and not just from us. * The other disappointment is that they're dessert menu is very weak. Vanilla and chocolate ice cream and two or three mostly chocolate centric items. With choices like that, why bother? * The music mix was odd. We went from Dave Matthews Band to at some point I think Ozzy to Air Supply. I don't know how any of that works together or if SiriusXM has a new station that I missed but either way, odd. Overall PB is still solid as the prices are decent and the menu particularly from the alcohol point of view is very diverse. I wasn't thrilled with everything but in the future no doubt we'll be back.

We headed here after spending the day at the Crayola factory for some much needed adult beverages. It was across the street from Crayola which was convenient when you have 4 hungry kids and 4 tired, thirsty adults. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday and it was not crowded at all. They sat our party of 8 quickly and all of the drinks and food also came out fast. Try the Tot-chos appetizer, it was different and delicious!

The Pro's: The food at Pearly Baker's Alehouse was delicious! OH MMM GEEE. I walked in and just knew I was going to be disappointed with their selection. I had the $12 paella and it was heavenly. I can honestly say it was one of the best paella's I've ever had. And for $12??? WHAT!?!??!! Paella can easily run you $20+. The food also arrived pretty quickly. I was extremely happy about that. The Con's: I was with a group of 10. So maybe the staff wasn't use to such a large party. When we arrived, they quickly pushed some tables together. The waitress took our drink orders first. I ordered the sangria (and they were out), I then ordered another cocktail on the list (and they were out)..after two failed attempts, I finally just ordered an underwhelming hard cider. The drinks took a while to get to the table. In the meantime, we asked for a pitcher of water. It took about a good 10-15 to get that. I was parched and over it. Someone in my group ordered the lamb burger (they were out of it)...someone else tried to order the lamb sliders (they were also out of that). For an early Sunday evening, why was this place out of everything? That kinda soured my experiences.

Good selection of beers on tap. Kids menu has good options. I wish they had a bit more for the regular menu. Love the interesting seats they have here.

I sooooo wanted to like this place since it was recommended to me by a coworker. The highs: Son of peach beer - awesome lighter tasting beer total score! French Onion soup - one of the best I've had The lows: Service :-( Fish special - it was "encrusted "- well not really. More like the consistency of stuffing and it was gross. I somehow got a big bite of pepper which was dumped into one spot in the fish. The asparagus that accompanied it was undercooked and too tough to eat. Molten lava cake - nothing molten about this cake and it wasn't sweet and it was made with a bakers chocolate without much additional sugar which made it borderline bitter. Steak - meh... Under seasoned and overcooked. There was a giant piece of fat / gristle which looked like they cut it off but then it made it onto the plate. Broccoli rabe was also under seasoned and overcooked which I don't understand since the asparagus was undercooked. The soda was flat and came with some long explanation as to why. Bottom line - $75 for two I wish I would have spent somewhere else.

Not much of a beer drinker myself, but I will sample craft beer because I am interested in the different regional components; the aromas, the diverse colors and textures etc, just like wine tasting in Napa! - But! If you come in and catch Lorenzo behind the bar ( Saturday and Sunday afternoon and Monday evenings. ) OMG!! He is an A+ INCREDIBLE mixologist WITH BEER nonetheless! recommend!!

Any place that has gluten free options noted on their menu is a winner for me as my wife has celiac. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good, and the prices were reasonable. We will be back!

This is the last place in the Lehigh Valley that I would ever eat again. I was served a totally uncooked pork chop wrote a note about my very unpleasant experience. But what was worse was that the owner wrote a very rude note to me in reply to my note about his restaurant. No apology. Telling me how great his restaurant is and has been for a long long time. All he had to do was apologize. Maybe send me a gift card but he was so pompous he didn't even see that. Never again will I step foot into that establishment.

Had a very bad experience on Sunday 26 July 2015. We waited for over 40 minutes for our food after the order was taken. There was only one other party in the restaurant when we ordered. While some of the food was ok my hamburger was burnt to a crisp. The diet cokes were so bad we sent them back. The waitress was a ghost most of the time. All of the food we ordered was NOT hot. Since we had a party of six we were forced to pay a 20 percent tip for lousy service. Two members of our party complained after our meal about food and services issues to the Manager. All that resulted in an apology BUT no offer any kind to reduce or refund some of what we spent. No plans to ever return and will share our experience with friends who are thinking about visiting the Crayola Experience

Its ok. My friend likes it so we end up here every now and then. I'm always a little disappointed by the food. The few times I did like something, I went back and it wasn't even close to the way it was the time before. The only thing consistent there is the inconsistency. With sooooo many other places in the area, its just not worth it.

Disgusting!! I should have known to turn around (I almost did) when we walked in on a thursday night at 6:15pm and the joint was EMPTY!! Oh my gawd this place was gross. I ordered a salad which had slimey gunk in it that resembled rotten lettuce and i was told it was peppers haha! I never knew "peppers" to be brown slimey strands, but ok if you say so, HA! Both our salads had so much dressing in them you could take a bath in the bowl! So gross! Plus they used the pre washed, dried out, lettuce garbage you buy in the bag from the grocery store. How lazy can you be that you cant even buy romaine lettuce, chop it up, and make a normal salad. Not to mention MAKE your own dressing and not just grab a bottle of Giant brand dressing and dump it on the salad like its ketchup! GROSS! I would much rather hit the drive thru at McDonalds than EVER hit this gross place again! The only saving grace of the night was walking to the glorious ice cream shop a block away and have a triple dip of their home made ice cream for dinner! So mad i pissed away $50 at this hole in the wall!

The atmosphere and decor are quite crappy. We were seated and the waitress came for our drinks. I asked what they had on tap, I was told that they have lots of beer choices so I asked about Blu Moon. She arrived with a bottle?? Food was so-so at best. Not worth the money. Lots of loud locals laughing obnoxiously.

Pearly Bakers has become a staple for us to dine and drink in the Eason area. Their quality is never short of excellent and their service is fantastic. We've sampled several of their menu items the multiple times we've been here. The menu rotates seasonally and they strive for excellence in everything they serve. They also make it relatively easy for anyone with dietary restrictions to identify menu items that meet their needs (gluten free, vegetarian, etc.). In addition, they support local, fresh, sustainable sourcing for their foods. If you plan on dining here with any frequency or are local to Easton, get their Pearly Bakers rewards card. As you earn points, you can get coupons for free drinks, discounts, and other things. Their knowledge of beer and cocktails is top notch. If you have questions, the staff, especially the manager is well versed in everything on their drink menu. Be sure to check out the chalk mural behind the bar, it rotates seasonally. The art is always interesting and well done. This business prides themselves on quality and service. We've been here several times and have yet to be disappointed.

We got off the hwy and drove into Easton for lunch. Pearly's had wonderful angus burgers and friendly service. Worth the trip.

If you want a serious burger, this is the place to go. The wait staff can be slow when dining in but the pick up/take out is pretty accurate. I also like when they change their menus. It shakes it up a bit. Not a great fan of beer but its a nice place to grab one.

Had drinks tonight and wanted a bite to eat. Ordered the calamari which the menu said was $11, and billed as an appetizer "to share". When the waitress brought it, My friend and I couldn't believe the incredibly SMALL portion size. There were a few tablespoons of calamari at the bottom of this huge plate. We mentioned this to the waitress, who just shrugged and asked if we wanted another drink. We've been there before, and have never had a problem. The burgers are great and reasonably priced. Obviously, the waitress never told a manager about our complaint, as no one came to talk to us. To add insult to injury, when the bill came, the calamari was billed at $12 !!!! We will not be back.

Hostess didn't assign us a server so we sat for 20 minutes without being greeted or anything. Good thing We weren't in any sort of hurry.

Jamaican burger rocks the casba! So tasty. The Manayunk Yunkers Noctornum (yes, that's a beer) kicked the night up a notch! Super friendly staff made this visit a joy. Don't judge it by the outside. Inside there is a long bar, booth seats and a formal dining room in the rear, complete with a chandelier built in the early 1900s. Plenty of class, plenty of style. Oh, and it's not a bakery, it's a drinkery :P

Fun bar. Food is good. Nice atmosphere. Nights when they have live music are good times to be had. It's an Easton staple. If you're a frequenter of Easton you have to go at least once.

After an aborted lunch experience here ( yelp.com/biz/joes-market… ), I wandered down the street to Pearly Baker's to save my stomach. You wouldn't necessarily know it from the outside, but they have more than your standard bar fare. They have several healthy options and menu notations for vegetarian and gluten free dining. I orderd the pulled pork flatbread. The pork was a little sparse, and they went a little heavy on the crème, but it was certainly a solid lunch. The corn on top was very good too. The hostess and waitress were super friendly and it was cool sitting outside on a nice day. I would definitely go back to try some other things.

Good Weekday Lunch for 2 adults , 2 teen boys, and 3 9 year old girls, before going to the Crayola Factory! Little kids were happy with the Kraft Mac n' cheese, chicken fingers, and coloring page, teens liked the wings and big baskets of fries and onion rings, burger was huge. My favorite was the Peach Habanero wings. I would definitely go back if I were in the area again. (it wasn't cheap, but was in range for the volume and quality of food on the plate)

Had a late lunch here. Great location on the circle. The beer of the week Troegs Session IPA 142 was excellent as was the vodka martini. Both the smokehouse and black bean burgers were very good. Zucchini and normal fries were good but the yam chips were a bit greasy & soft.

The fiancee and I LOVE it here. I could not think of an estabishment in this area where you can get a meal this high quality and delicious and it also has an extensive beer menu and great live music! Went here on NYE and got the french onion soupo (Boulder style) with provolone, gruyere, and blue cheeses melted on top. Fantastic, that bowl was dry by the time I was finished. Had the filet stuffed with crabmeat for dinner. Quite possibly the best filet I have ever had, plus it was stuffed with fresh crabmeat! It came on a bed a roasted garic mashed potatoes which was light and creamy. Didnt even have room for dessert was absolutely stuffed! When we are looking to go out and get some drinks this is always our first choice. Good bands and an excellent atmosphere. Not to mention their delicious tap selection and other bottled beers. Def 5 stars!

Awesome food. Tried the black bean pumpkin burger. It was delicious. Service was good , food good and priced fair. I will return again.
(5)Camilo B.
Had the jamaican jerk burger and the wife had mushroom soup and strawberry salad, all awesome, esp the burger...nice beer selection. The kids menu was so so (chicken fingers overcooked, small portions). All in all good place, worth a try, esp for a couple of pints and a burger.

Terrible. Should have know when it was the only place in town during "restaurant week" we could get into. We waited over an hour for our food. The server repeatedly told us they were "in the weeds". My mom's lamb came smothered in sauce she had requested on the side. The server told her she was sorry but it wasn't her fault and it would take a really long time to correct since they were so far behind. My husband asked if my mom's food could be fired ahead of other orders as it was incorrect and we were dining with our child. We watched the server chase the manager around for 10 minutes and then the manager came over and talked to my 50ish year old mother like a child "we don't like the sauce?". No, we just ordered it without, please correct the order. 30 minutes later we said forget it and we were asked to wait and just take the dish home with us since we had the "special request". We declined and the manager informed us she would be willing to take the dish that they screwed up and never served us off of our check "this time". Wow. Thanks so much. I also never received the cocktail I ordered after asking multiple times. What a mess. I felt bad for the server... She wasn't great but was trying. The manager was ridiculous. I work in a service industry and would never address a customer concern with such an absolute lack of professionalism or common sense. Pathetic.

Had dinner here as part of an interview, which meant I couldn't try any of their beer. *That* was a shame! The beer menu was particularly impressive, and I have pretty high standards. I had a lamb burger, which was excellent. The rest of the menu looked great as well. The seating here is interesting. We were at a normal table by the front window, which had plenty of lighting and afforded a nice view of downtown. There are some little cove tables by the bar, perfect for something more intimate or just grabbing drinks.

Great bar. Lafayette is lucky to have it close by. If u van drink a lot try to get a mug. U have been trying for about 1 year. Food is great but not hearty.

You've heard of business in the front, party out back? Reverse it. The bar sits in the front of the house with a very nice white table cloth dining room in the back decorated by a gigantic hand cut crystal chandelier. My favorite Easton restaurant. I personally think they have the best burgers out of any available burger joint within 50 miles. The entrées are equally as impressive as the quality of the burgers. The beer tap menu is also very good, evidenced by the tap handles decorating the bar ceiling. If your restaurant destination is a random Easton pick, Please. Pick. Me.

Hmm. Great space, especially the dining room with the Czech? chandelier. And I've had servers who I genuinely enjoyed. DO order the french onion soup. DO go to the annual chili cook-off and get the t-shirt. OK to check out live music but if you need a spot to see the band, get there early. (Bring earplugs - the space is beautiful but not set up for loud bands.) Admittedly, I have been here many times but not at all in the past 12 mos. All of the beer is overpriced, including PBR.

I visited here for lunch with my boyfriend, 3 year old daughter, and my boyfriend's 4 year old nephew. We sat outside and did have to wait quite a bit for service, but she was very friendly. I found the kids menu slightly over priced, around $8 per child. Boyfriend ordered the Po Boy and it was good, given I've had Po Boy's in Nee Orleans. It wasn't over fried and the sauce was tasty. I think the bread could have been a bit better. The highlight of the meal was the Turkey Burger topped with guac, queso fresco, and chipotle ranch. It was sooo good. It was by far one of the best turkey burgers I've ever had. The home made yam chips were a nice compliment. If it wasn't for the slow start to service and the over priced kids menu, I would give it 4 stars. But when my meal costs as much as my daughters, I can't quite justify it. I would go back sans kids as the bar inside has a good vibe and the burger I had was delicious.

So I'm a firm believer it is difficult to get a good meal outside of New York. And we came here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent. They have a decent selection of burgers, various types of french fries, salads, and sandwiches. They take into consideration your order (I've been to places that you'll order meat rare, and get it medium, and its so annoying. here, its cold. Just like we like it) They have a decent beer list on tap and bottled, and just in passing I noticed some "kick the keg" specials, which is seriously gold to me. I also really dig the decor, its got the feel of a pub. Or an alehouse. Which is accurate, since it IS an alehouse. But you know, sometimes you go to an alehouse or a pub and its like a friggin applebees. The waitress was very accomodating - and we were eating with 3 children who had just come from Crayola factory (read: wired for sound); they didn't even flinch when my nephew took his french fries and threw them across the room. sigh

Deciding to take advantage of a mid-week day off with beautiful weather, my man and I planned to hit up the Farmers Market and Sigal Museum, but wanted some lunch (and an adult beverage or two...) first. We'd heard great things about Pearly Baker's so we stopped in a bit after noon. We loved the decor, the high-top booths, and the beer list. I was slightly disappointed by the small-ish lunch menu, but was able to find something that both of enjoyed. Service was great. Beers were even better.

It was graduation weekend so service was a bit slow but they we're very nice and brought out beer samples while we deciding which to order.. Buffalo Wings were mild, bruschetta was a pain to eat as they gave you a pile of chopped tomatoes with toast crisps. Crab and shrimp soup was too thin and the Caesar was too heavily dressed. Onion rings were limp and the grilled chicken over rigatoni was bland. Best dish was the breaded prime pork chop - flavorful and tender and the mashed potatoes were very creamy. The Smokehouse burger was also very tasty.

I have never given a place on yelp less than 3 stars. Unfortunately for this one, I feel the need to be honest about our visit that began with an Absolutely Disgusting Drink for $10. That in itself may be excusable but paired with the slow and offensive (read: rude) service- My friends and I had a Horrible experience. The bartender, Matt, made the above drink and contributed to our above opinions of this establishment. The ambiance was not conducive to having fun... Although to give credit where due, it was not at the fault of the guitar player who played a good mix. Looking through other yelp reviews, it appears we are not the first to note these issues. I would not bring a family here for food nor would I recommend it for a night out. All of us separately commented that we won't be surprised when they close. This place gave us not only poor opinions of their bar and restaurant, it also unfortunately made us wary of Easton, PA.
(1)Michael D.
I gave it a 1 because I wasn't there long enough to even review it. Walked in on Monday and sat at bar. Total of 5 guests including me. Bartender walked by me and perched herself at service bar and talked to another employee. Finally she saw me which was fine since I was going over beer list anyway. Asked for a beer. She had no clue what it was and I had to point to the tap handle. Then she couldn't find glassware and mumbled had she had none... Re-read comment about her chilling with the server at the end of bar. Then the beer didn't pour and it was dripping and she told me that they had problems with it but couldn't fix it and if I wanted I could wait for it to fill. So I asked for a taste of another beer. Out. Then another. Didn't like. Finally I just said goodnight and left. It's ashame because I get that things happen and kegs kick but when you boast about having the most and best craft beer in Lehigh valley ( they Def do not ) and your bartender has absolutely no clue or even seems to give a poop.. it's disappointing.

This is a very old review as we never went back here again, When we first moved to this area in 2004-2005 we went with a group of our friends here for dinner. This is where the nightmare began, we all ordered a round of drinks and appetizers, after approx. 20 mins the waitress came out with a huge tray of drinks. she stumbled and dumped all the drinks on our table and clothing. Due to her embarrassment she ran away crying and left us soaked without any napkins or anything to clean up ! To make matters worse no manager or other waitress approached our table to help, the ladies were dressed in nice clothing which were all soaked in booze. Here is the best part, we all got up and walked out and the manager suddenly appeared outside saying we didn't pay our bar tab !! I told him to f off before we called the Police, how ridiculous !! Never will go there again.

I feel bad to write a review considering I didn't get the opportunity to try anything. But the hostess was extremely rude and me and my boyfriend actually left. We were going out for dinner and wanted to try this place (this was about 2 months ago but it has bothered me since). The hostess sat us at the weird stage part in the front by the bar/window. She then told us, (talking to us as if we were children) "if you are lucky maybe someone will sing to you". We looked at eachother. My boyfriend, not wanting to speak w the same hostess asked a waiter if we could go in the dining room. I didn't even know there was a dining room. So the waiter told the hostess, and the nasty hostess came back saying sarcasticlly "I am so glad you asked to move, really, I am so glad" We did not know what this woman's problem was but she threw down the menus and left. We were in shock and decided to get up and leave. She then ran after us when we were walking out yelling "what happened what happened???". Bad experience. Hope that bipolar woman was fired.

Lunch w/business associate yd afternoon. Nutriment in solid and liquid form. Service & chow: maintaining the status quo. Negative: cigarette smoke.
(4)Pete F.
I'll keep it short and sweet. Great beer selection, and judging by the number of taps waiting in the wings they change them out quite often. I actually had not had maybe half of the beers on their list, which is unusual for me to say the least! Servers were not particularly knowledgeable about the beers, so if you're looking for recommendations my experience would say bring an informed friend or some reading matter on the subject. The lunch menu was small but had plenty of things I like to choose from. I went a little high end with the dry aged Ribeye burger topped with Brie, Bacon and onion marmalade... at $14 not the cheapest thing in the world, but damn was it good!
