Was looking for a good place for Chinese food tonight, and turned to Yelp. JJ Wongs had the best reviews, so I looked into it. They have a new name - Chinese Japanese Thai. Found their menu online and called, our food was ready in 10 min. We got a mix of Chinese and sushi. Really good. Takeout service was great. Will be back.

There is good and there is blah to this place. My love of squid makes me give this place four stars. Their squid was so tender. I have seldom had squid like this. And it was consistent over the times I have gone. It is not a menu item but something that is on the paper insert for the menu so you need to be there the night they are serving it. Overall the flavors of the dishes are blah. There are no undertones to the sauces, they are simply straight sauce and often over applied. I have tried to get the sauce to be a little spicier but had no luck. I will admit that the steamed "diet" items are decent. My wife orders those. A good thing is that the tables are spread out. You are not on top of one another and you don't have to listen to others' conversations. Televisions are on the walls so if your "date" is boring (sorry dear) you can sometimes catch something to pass the time.

We always have takeout and have never had a bad meal. This is one of the best Asian restaurants in my area (they serve Chinese, Japanese and Thai). For us it's worth the extra travel time. Excellent beef sticks, shrimp w/broccoli, General Tso's Chicken, sliced chicken w/mixed vegetables! The chicken w/cashew nuts is to die for!! My only wish is they offered coconut rice like Thai Thai II in Bethlehem.

It was one of very few decent Chinese restaurants in Bethlehem until it changed management in June or July. The establishment is now called JJ Wong's Asian King Cuisine. They seemed to have kept the same menu with additional Thai and few more Japanese dishes, but apparently, their food took a dive. Our old Taiwanese friend who owned a successful restaurant in NJ used to say you can judge a restaurant by the color of fried rice. Unfortunately, the new JJ Wong's failed this test; their fried rice is light brown and tasted bland. Rest of their food was over-fried and hardly had any flavor. I've never had a pan fried noodles that was like chewing straws!

Clean restrooms are always a good sign to me that the owners care. This place has a nice touch-free restroom which was clean! Food is very focused on meat dishes, but if you're vegetarian, there are a few options to pick from. What we ate so far was decent and well prepared. i might be more impressed with the variety if i was still eating meat. i would give five stars if they would offer some vegan options like New Harmony in Philly. There is a need for that kind of option in this area. Overall pleased and would recommend.

I had been dying to try Chinese food in my area and was hesitant because I didnt know where to go. I came on to Yelp to see who people in my area recommended and found CJT. I went that night and was extremely pleased. It was a bit challenging to ask questions about the menu due to the waitress's accent but I managed to figure out what to order. The food came in heavy plastic containers that keep the food so warm it was steaming after my 20 minute ride home. They give you a bag of won ton chips in your order too which I am now addicted to LOL! I have already been back a 2nd time and I am sure it will replace my Friday night pizza too. They have a nice big dining room, and when I was there both times a gentleman is making fresh sushi rolls. They have a nice bar there too for sushi. Staff was very friendly, every person said thank you as I was leaving. Very nice people. Thanks to all the other Yelper's for recommending this place. Its worth it!

Tried the Happy Family dish tonight and it was good. A little expensive but it's worth it.

JJ Wong's is no more. It is now CJT Asian Cuisine. Chinese, Japanese, and Thai. My wife and I were in search of a better alternative to the lack of quality Japanese food in the area. We had eaten at JJ when it was still good so we decided to try this new version of it. Here's my review of the Japanese portion. It was Great! Given, they're not a purely Japanese restaurant, I anticipated mediocre but for the selection they had, I was pretty blown away. Their selection was for the most part standard fare. Sushi/sashimi, house rolls, special rolls, tempura, teriyaki, and noodle soups. My dinner consisted of the Nabe Yaki Udon, an order of salmon sashimi (3 pieces) and a share of their special dragon ball roll. The Nabe Yaki Udon was awesome! It came in a ceramic pot and consisted of fresh vegetables, udon noodles, chicken, an egg, fish cake, and two shrimp tempura. The broth was light yet earthy and not at all overpowering to the dish. I felt like I was eating something healthy yet had a guilty deliciousness to it. The sashimi was top notch. Very fresh and rather large pieces. The dragon ball roll which my wife and I shared was basically a dragon roll that they battered in tempura and deep fried. My 2 year old son Loved it! My wife had a sushi combination platter. Again, fresh fresh fresh. Total bill was $53 and change before tip which is par for the course on Japanese food. Will definitely go there again!

After you've eaten at a lot of good places in Taiwan and China, I was worried that the only place in the Lehigh Valley that had a decent sit-down Chinese dinner was the Eastern restaurant in the Bethlehem Square plaza on Route 191. When that restaurant lots one of its head chefs, the food there noticeable took a slight dive in quality (but it's still good there!). I heard that the head chef in question helped open a new business off of Route 33 so we went down to take a look at this new "JJ Wong's" restaurant. It's a really nondescript place in a strip mall and I wasn't expecting too much. The decor is pretty standard for a slightly more upscale Chinese restaurant and the menu has a good variety. There is a "secret menu" (more like a rotating specialty menu aimed at Chinese patrons) with a good selection of special dishes. Every Thursday they get in fresh fish (whole bass) and they will make it to order. I think an entire huge bass was under $30 and it was really good. The fish's sauce was excellent and we spooned it over a second helping of white rice. Otherwise, the menu is pretty standard fare although it's a step above the average Chinese takeout place. The vegetarian and low calorie options are very good, especially the steamed chicken and broccoli, which is good for those watching their weight.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
