The 5th and last time I will visit this place (3 were for drinks to go) The first time was soon after it opened. They were out of fries so I ordered sweet potato fries and grilled onions on my burger. The waitress seemed confused. What I got were what looked liked grilled onion on my burger and raw onions on the side (which I detest) . The "grilled onions" were a combination of onion and impossible to eat grilled onion skins. but the burger was good and so was the burger the second time I ate there. (hence the One Star) After lunch elsewhere I decided to try their Egg Cream made (I was told) with U-Bet chocolate for $3.49 The drink was watery, no seltzer fizz... not a hit. Since my favorite milk shake place was closed for the winter (the highly recommend Bank Street Creamery, just around the corner from this place) I thought I'd try their malted milk shake, which was good, so I thought I'd do it again since the egg creams were a disaster. My most recent malted milk shake took over 10 minutes to be made by the three people behind the counter. They didn't have adequate change so I was shorted a few pennies (Why this was my problem, I'm not sure.) I ordered their smaller 12 oz shake in the coffee cup size foam cups, no problem, I had one before. Small it that is, it's just enough when you are looking for a dessert size drink ($3.89), or so I thought. My small cup was not filled to the top, it was a full inch short of the lid. When I asked what's going on, the attendant explained that the Ice cream was too cold and that I really did get the full amount, it just didn't look that way. With food service perception is everything. If the food looks bad, small, inadequate or not as expected, it is their problem. When I get a shake at The Cup in Bethlehem (Highly Recommended ) the shakes are usually oversized with the extra yours for the asking. The fact that this place can't whip up 12 oz of shake for a place that sells a gazillion combinations of shakes is pathetic enough to give them a bad rating and spend enough time to complain about it here. To summarize: Good burgers, lousy service full of excuses and not worth the time or torment. The other One Star reviews say this and more.

Don't be lured in by the decor. Thr food is overpriced for the food you get and the food itself wasn't all that great. Decor is pretty cool, but that's about it.

Went here for lunch for the first time the burger was half decent however they forgot to put on half of oir toppings the fries were not really good at all soggy no flavor and we had the loaded fries with chili and cheese then they would not honor our coupon.. will never eat there again was not worth 30 dollars

Better than I expected, based on other reviews. Our children enjoyed the restaurant. The staff was obviously trying to do a good job. Food was adequate, but not great. Still, I am glad for a mid-priced, family restaurant in downtown Easton. This will be a good spot for families visiting the Crayola Experience.

The burgers are better and tastier than at Red Robin with a myriad of choices for toppings. Very juicy! I deducted one star since the service was a bit confused and the food came slow even though the restaurant was not busy. It appeared the staff was in training.

This is my third time here and it doesn't get better. The service is terrible. We had to wait for a table even though there were plenty of empty ones. Our server took our order, brought our drinks and we never saw her again. Our food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, but the fries were cold and tasted like they were cooked in old oil. We didn't eat them and couldn't find our server to bring it to her attention. Our glasses sat empty despite the fact that they have free refills. A busser cleared our table and after ten minutes, we went to wait at the cashiers station for our check. When the hostess finally located our server and got our check I asked that she remove the fries as they were inedible. The manager came and did take them off the check. I told him the service was horrible and his explanation was that the servers had been working all day. People who were dining outside came in looking for their server and checks too. The burger was good, but next time I'll go to Five Guys. This was my last visit to Cheeburger.

I've been to this chain before and really like it. This location however is terrible. The management, servers and kitchen staff are all inept making for a perfect storm of incompetence. One small example: We order two burgers one comes out and one doesn't. While waiting for my burger we notice that the burger we did get had the wrong cheese. So after about five minutes we bring it to the servers attention. The kitchen scrapes the melted cheese off puts a clump if blue cheese on the now cold burger puts the toppings back on and sends it out! Meanwhile I still don't have my burger. It took a total of twenty minutes from the time my wife's burger came out to get mine. When the manager came out and I told her about scrapping the cheese off and putting cold unmelted cheese on a cold burger she was un phased. She thought that was fine. A real restaurant with a good staff would have put both burgers on fresh so they came out together. Ridiculous!

Yes the service was slow, but they just opened and it was school day off. The place was packed. The severs were attentive and friendly. Food was good. Shakes excellent. My kids were very happy with everything. And left so full they were groaning all the way home.

I'm a teacher, and I went in for lunch on a snow day from school after shoveling snow and dropping off leaves to the area recycling center, so I was hungry. I was greeted cordially at the door, promptly seated, and apprised of the menu by a friendly and attentive server. So customer service seemed in order. I ordered a chee burger, loaded fries and a chocolate malt and a soda. The malt came first and I downed it while waiting for my food, which from earlier reviews I expected to take a bit. I have to say the shake was very good. BUT food arrived, and the food was not good. The burger looked sloppy and the roll was not appetizing, but I did eat the burger being that I was very hungry, though it was mediocre at best. The fries had no taste and the loaded part was mere slop with no taste either. Also, the fries were burnt crunchy, which didn't help the taste. The waitress came and refilled my soda while I was eating. And I left disappointed and with a $20 lunch bill. A bit expensive. Next time, I'll go to Five Guys, whose burgers have taste and whose fries are delicious, and without milkshake and tip, will be a $10 lunch.

Awful Awful!! To summarize - slow, terrible service. Dirty environment. Overpriced. Not quality food. Continue reading for a detailed review. Our family of 4 arrived at 5:13 on a Saturday evening. You would think a restaurant would want to use every possible table for the customers. Not the case with this place. A couple of tables were being used as an office - a printer, laptop, files all over! And at the counter seating, employees were actually sitting there eating while on break. While waiting to even be greeted, a little girl went up to a waitress busy typing an order into the system. The girl asked for crayons. The waitress was too busy to look to her left to see the hundreds of crayons sitting there. Instead she told the little girl they didn't have anymore. How rude!! Once we were finally seated, my husband and I had to wipe off our seats and our kids seats because of all the crumbs. Once we ordered, it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive. This is a burger joint! They're not making filet mignon. You can't expect kids to be so patient. Of course order arrived incomplete - no fries! We were almost finished with our burgers before fries arrived. I had to ask more than once for water for all 4 of us. They give a roll of paper towels instead of napkins. We had an empty roll before finishing our meal. It was never replaced. We were never asked if we wanted soda refills. The restaurant was so hot too. Gross! This place is overpriced and overrated. Looking for burgers? Go to Five Guys or Jake's. I'd take Burger King over this place. I understand downtown Easton needs to be revitalized. Please bring in quality places and not this Awful Awful crap!!

avoid! it is a new place and hopefully the kinks will be worked out, but my food was overcooked and the bun was dry and fell apart. it took us over an hour to get our food. it was awkward. our waitress was overwhelmed but there was lots of waitstaff standing around. the manager was more preoccupied asking tables if they would sing along to sweet caroline (Sigh, really?) overall, I will stick to Jakes!

I went with the old lady and two friends last Saturday. Overall, we had a good experience. Food was pretty good...burger was about on par with one from five guys. The difference here is that you are waited on rather than order from a counter. More of a family dining experience with old school 50s decor. When we went there was a twenty minute wait to order. To be fair, the hostess warned us about this prior to us sitting down and the place was totally packed. Furthermore, the place just opened so I think there are some kinks to be worked out. I think this place fills a gap missing in downtown easton right now and will likely do well with families visiting Crayola. I'll give them another go soon. Hopefully by then the little issues will be worked out. I recommend the onion rings as well as not giving into peer pressure. Just be your own person! Stop following the crowd. It's the reason I'm addicted to nicotine so don't fall into the same trap that I did. Enjoy your burger.

The food is ok nothing very special, I would say very similar to a normal diner. Service is very slow - went in on Wednesday after Crayola experience... Only 1/3 occupied. Have to wait 1 hr before our food arrived. Very greasy on the fried mac & cheese.. Not ideal for kids. Like the decor of the 60's theme. Should have try Gino across the street.

We decided to take a break from the Crayola Factory and have some lunch at Cheeburger Cheeburger since we wanted to try it and it looked kid friendly. We were a group of 8 and they were able to accommodate us. However, the service was quite slow we waited about 30 minutes for our food and with four children under 7 who are hungry that was quite challenging. The burgers were good. We were offered refills on our drinks either. It was a Saturday which I imagine is quite busy but still they seemed short staffed. Maybe we will go again on a weekday and give it a try.

While I've gone to this Cheeburger with friends in the past and had a great time, my latest experience was horrible. My friend and I waited for ten minutes to be seated. The restaurant was only about half-full and a couple of waiters walked by without even looking our way! Eventually, I had to go up to someone and ask if we could just seat ourselves. When we finally had a table, we were ignored. No one came up even to take our drink orders, and when I tried to catch our waitress' attention she looked at us and kept walking. Even if the restaurant had been packed - which it certainly wasn't - there was no excuse for how rude and uncaring the service was. After waiting another 15 minutes to be served, we went elsewhere.

This past Christmas my family and I were attending the lighting of the peace candle and there was a downpour. I mean it POURED. So we sought sanctuary in the nearest restaurant which happened to be Cheeburger, Cheeburger. We just wanted to get out of the rain for a few minutes, standing in the vestibule. We were conscientious of not wanting to freeload and so my wife went to the counter to order some goodies. But an employee --- a large, intimidating man demanded that my son and I leave even though my wife was picking up things for all of us. Really. How dumb can a business be? We are locals (and they should've deduced that nearly everyone participating in the lighting of the peace candle was likely a local). So there was an opportunity to earn long-standing repeat business, just by being friendly and welcoming. Instead, the employee's rude demeanor ensured we will NEVER EVER return to this restaurant.

Went there for lunch during our visit to Crayola Experience. We had a party of 12 including adults and children. They told me that strollers were not allowed to block space so I had to push my sleeping baby up under the table. Fine, we were hungry it was convenient and it was really not a big deal. But it only goes downhill from there. Our waitress wasn't friendly at all. I mean she had the words of "friendliness" but with no facial expressions to match. Not one smile during our entire meal. The food itself wasn't horrible. I ordered the teriyaki wings and sriracha blue cheese wings. The teriyaki wings were way to sweet for my taste but my 3 year old loved it. Sriracha wings were decent. Loaded fries were nothing special. They make the menu way to complicated here. We wanted an order of loaded fries and had to pick the toppings, the sauce, etc. Don't get me wrong, having options on the menu is great but after a long morning with a toddler and an infant I just want to sit down and eat. Not have to study the menu like I'm taking my fifth grade final. Settling the bill was another major headache. We were charged an extra lemonade and our 'wonderful' waitress argued with us that she charged us for the two we had ordered. She wouldn't even look at the bill to see the issue. It wasn't another waitress chimed in that an additional lemonade was already listed, that she even acknowledged it. Then as she brought back the updated check she said with THE most ridiculous attitude "is there anything else wrong with the check?" Nope. Never again.

Nope. We got fooled by the quirky decor and the bright lights and the name. Cheeburger Cheeburger seems like it would be a great place to grab a good burger. We were wrong, it was not. i was with my boyfriend, his brother and mother when we walked in and decided to eat there. when you first walk in there is a sign that tells you to wait to be seated. and we waited. for 10 minutes, while the staff was huddled by a counter in the back chatting and looking dead at us. i made eye contact with 2 separate people and then the minute we would lock eyes they would run away and make themselves look like they had something to do. it was not very busy either. we grabbed the menu's ourselves and decided to seat ourselves. another 10 minutes passed as staffed zipped right by us (doing what i don't know) and again i locked eyes with the same two waiters from before and they quickly turned away. Finally we got someone at our table. we placed our orders (cheese burgers) my boyfriend got the "cheese burger platter" which comes with regular french fries but he had asked our waiter to have it replaced with sweet potato fries. i don't think he understood or listened properly because he got the order with french fries and then got an additional order of sweet potato fries. the burgers were ok. the ones we made at our BBQ the night before were way better, but the wings were surprisingly good! we all also got different dipping sauces with our fries, the best was the horse radish and the garden vegetable. they have a marshmallow sauce that we tried also but it was just a bit too sweet. as soon as we finished we got the check and left quickly. now that we got that out of our system, we will not be going back.

Terrible service and undercooked raw fries. We only dined here out of desperation since we didn't know the area well.

GREASEBURGER GREASEBURGER. Took my daughter for lunch after a visit to Crayola. My first clue should have been that the place was empty. We waited up front for about a minute before one of the 3 visible employees walked up to seat us. We asked for a booth and were promptly given one. As soon as we sat down, the table had a visible wobble. This is restaurant management 101. Before you open, inspect your dining room, and check the tables. If they wobble, adjust the feet. It's not hard. Server came back a few minutes later and took our order. He was polite but not overly friendly. Our food came out in an acceptable time but there was so much pooled grease in the bottom it was more than a little off putting. We started eating, and had full glasses, when the server came over and asked if we wanted refills. Our glasses were full?? Anyhow, the burgers we greasy and plain. Nothing spectacular. The onion rings were quite good, but the fries were greasy, old, cold and stuck together. That's kitchen 101. When it's that slow, why are you making fries ahead time? You should be making them to order! When we did need a refill, the server was at counter chatting it up with the other employees. He finally came over and instead of offering us a dessert or anything else, he just dropped the check. I guess he wasn't aware that you increase your tip by increasing the check total. Server 101. Their loss, and our gain. There is a great ice cream shop around the corner. This place fails spectacularly on nearly every food service fundamental there is. There a plenty of other restaurants downtown. Seek them out instead!!!

This place is gross - we went to Crayola and this was advertised everywhere as the place to go when visiting. We walked in as a party of 10 for lunch, there were many three other tables. The servers are rude and disinterested in their job, our drinks came out three different times and kept bringing the rest over the course of 8 minutes. They messed up two of our meals, the food was horrifying. The roast beef sandwich was disgusting. We got an array of burgers, a salad, kids meals and everything was like warm. We would never ever go back.

Worst service ever.. Do not take small children. The wait is way too long. Food is okay but not great

I went to this location with 6 of my friends for a motorcycle event. The street was closed off by the police, which made for easy parking. We were seated quickly and all the servers were friendly. The menu offers a variety of burgers, wraps and salads. I can't forget to mention the full page of shakes. None of the sandwiches come with sides, so the fries and onion rings have to be ordered seperate, which was a little awkward. We decided to order two large baskets of each to save on our bill. This place is decorated in a 50's style with plenty of novelty items hanging on the wall. Overall it was a good lunch. If your in the area, check it out.

This is the same owner that had the same franchise in Flemington NJ, so I just want to forward the review that I provided during the short period of time he was in business there. That is until his incomprehensible disorders caught up with him in that community. I have never met a more loathsome, and undeserving business owner in my entire life! That is why I'm going out of my way to forward my review from there to here. The word despicable pales to express the level of contempt that I feel towards folks of this type! Good riddance, said in advance of the celebration of your closing here in Easton as well! If the parent corporation for this company only knew the extraordinary levels of damage that this pariah has done to their brand! Make it a point to read all of the so called "not recommended" reviews that Yelp has blocked (52 as of my writing this). You can find those by scrolling to the very bottom of this business review. If you haven't had the misfortune of eating at this place yet, then read all the reviews and laugh. If you have eaten there, then read all of the reviews and wish that you had before you went into The Little Shop of cheeseburger horrors! Really folks, you can't make this stuff up... "Absolutely horrible experience - twice! I find the owner to be one of the rudest, most self-righteous, and ungrateful person I have ever met in my life. Comes across like he is doing you a favor to let you eat there. Just try to make a special request and see what happens. I read a review of this place on another site where the reviewer shared that he (the owner), actually called the police on them when they would not stop their children from coloring at the table! I requested my french fries on a separate plate from my burger and was told that that could not be done. Total control freak; like someone who was potty trained at gunpoint. Under no circumstance would I ever consider setting foot inside the door of this place again. And the food - overpriced and completely mediocre on its best day. Can't wait until five guys comes to town!"

Walked in this past Tuesday afternoon (July 21) at lunch time with my niece and boyfriend after visiting the Crayola Factory. I put my stroller off to the side and waited for about 6 minutes before we got sat (only about 5 to 6 other tables in there at that time), asked for a high chair never received one. No one ever came to the table to greet us or ask us for drinks/order. A waiter kept looking over at our table, making eye contact each time, as he kept going back to another table to re read there order at least 6x. We got up and left after 15 minutes, about five other people followed us out when we walked out. I've been to other Chee Burgers and never had any problems like this before. Very disappointed. Will not go back there

If you like to wait a long time for mediocre food, by all means come to this place. We came in and were seated around 2:00pm - after the lunch rush. It took over 30 minutes to get our food! The food was bad. I had a patty melt and the bread was hard as a rock - overlooked. The onion rings were soggy and tasted horrible!! Don't eat at this place. I'm sure you can find something better close by - I wish we had.

Came here after having a great morning at The Crayola Experience on Labor Day. Every restaurant were closed for the Holiday except for Cheesburger. Waited 5-10 mins to be seated even though the place was only 1/4 filled. 3 adults and 1 kid. We ordered two salmon burgers which they didn't have so we substituted with veggie burgers. Disgusting deep fried pieces of "veggies". It was hard as rocks and greasy. We eat the buns alone. The kid's meal (jr burger) arrived in a novelty car box. Cute but impossible for a child to eat out of. The fries were soggy and starchy. The other adult in our party had a regular burger. Nothing special. Time to order dessert to fill our still hungry stomachs. We decided to get the waffle sundae on the menu that was adhered to the table. 1/2 fresh belgium waffle with 1 scoop of ice cream is a little more than $3. 3/4 waffle with 2 scoops is around $6. We order but the waitress tells us the prices are wrong on the menu. The $3ish option is really $6ish and the $6ish option is really close to $10. WHAT?! Why on earth would you have this menu stuck on all the tables when the prices are supposed to be doubled? We got it anyway. I watched as our waitress make our sundaes behind the counter as customers piled in, waiting even longer than us when we first arrived. They do not look happy. Every single patron in this establishment looked depressed and impatient. The ice-creams were underwhelming. The pineapple topping were scraped from a bottle that looks like it were sitting there for years. Nasty. The check came and we were charged for the salmon burgers instead of the cheaper veggie burgers we had to substitute. Didn't bother disputing. Didn't want to waste more time here. I wished we had read the reviews here on Yelp first because every single bad reviews are true. We could've went further to have lunch. We saw a Panara Bread 5 mins out as we were leaving town. Go there instead.

Came here for lunch today and wish we would have went somewhere else. Service was way too slow. The bathroom was extremely dirty and no toilet paper, wish I saw it before ordering and paying. One of the waiters, the same person who was in the back making food, was coughing the entire time. To make matters worse, the fries were completely soggy and had more black spots on them than I ever seen on any potato. What kind of old potatoes are they using? I returned them and it wasn't a very friendly return since they looked at me funny as if I was crazy to return such "fresh" fries. Never coming here again, I had better burgers and fries at Burger King!

After visiting the Crayola Factory, we decided to sit down and find a place to eat and found this little fun restaurant. The decor was very interesting and cute but we were not impressed with the customer service. I ordered a bunless classic burger and my boyfriend ordered a semi-serious burger. He asked for sauce on the side and the plate came with sauce soaked to the rim. Then the waitress never came back to check on our food. We waited 20 minutes (longer than the eating time itself) before getting frustrated at the waitress and going to the bar to pay, the waitress never showed up until we finished paying and were heading out of the restaurant. The burgers were definitely the highlights of the visit but I took off two stars for the terrible customer service.

  • Meg D.

I went there a few weeks ago with my boyfriend. It was alright. Burgers were alright. Fries were eh. I think this place is fine for people with kids trying to eat near the Crayola place and not spend a lot of money. Retro crazy decor and cheaper prices. Definitely not for people looking for great food or an experience. I gave it a two because you can't be called "Cheeburger" and not have a solid burger. Plus customer service is not a priority there

    (2)
  • Valerie V.

Had a wonderful night out with the kids, service was great and food was delicious. I this was the second time we have been here I definitely recommend going during off peak hours. They have signs posted that your food is made to order and is fresh so don't expect to be in and out quickly. Knowing that going in and you'll totally enjoy the atmosphere and food. Also the shakes are out of this world.

Costumer service here is THE WORST. The servers and managers are rude and have no clue of that they are doing. When my daughter and I left our table to go to the bathroom we came back and found that our table had been cleaned out, I should add that the stroller was still folded and laying against one of the chairs. The server never came and ask if I needed a refill or anything of the sort, I had to call her over and ask for the check and the manager. My order was wrong, yet I had to pay full price for the bad experience. NEVER AGAIN!

Ate here with my two daughters recently. We ordered hamburgers with toppings, Sweet potato fries, regular fries and onion rings. The food was really good but the service was so slow even though the restaurant was not crowded. We had to rush through eating because I was afraid my parking meter would run out. If you have all the time in the world to sit around and enjoy the 50's decor and music, and love burgers then this is the place for you.

The waited for a long time for the food. The wait staff looked like they were clueless. No confidence with what they were doing. Didn't even bother to ask how was our food or if we needed anything else. At one time several of them were just standing near the entrance of the kitchen one was sitting waiting for closing time. I SAW ONE OF THE CUSTOMERS COMPLAINING TO THE MANAGER WHILE WE WERE WAITING for our food. SHE REALLY LOOKED VERY UNHAPPY. With all the reviews I've read about this place this place SHOULDN'T REMAIN OPEN!!! IS THERE ZERO STARS?

Horrible experience! Horrible service! Horrible food! Waited over and hour for our food to have half of our orders come out wrong! They tried to correct but he server argued with me first about what I ordered. The server tried to correct what came out wrong, and still didn't get it right. Check even came out wrong! Sub par food. Do not recommend!

If you've ever promised God you'd be a better person if He could just produce a a bathroom, port-o-let, outhouse or dark alley, then you know those final moments, when salvation appears to be at hand, can be an explosive time. At around 7:30pm this Sunday, most the stores and restaurants at the center of Easton, PA were shuttered. So when I saw the bright lights of Cheeburger Cheeburger, I broke into a stiff, limping gallop: Hallelujah. Salvation at last. Or so it appeared until the hostess gently insisted, "the restrooms are for customers only." I broke into a light sweat. "No problem," I assured her. "I'll get something." "Sorry," she said. "You'd have to have ordered something first." Dumbfounded, I prepared for the possibility that I'd need to let loose, right there in the middle of the restaurant. But then inspiration struck and I moonwalked in starts and stops to the counter. The waitress, who had watched this whole sorry scene unfold, ambled over to take my order. "Can I have a coke?" I pleaded, throwing down a fiver. "I'm sorry. We don't have Coke," she said. I'm sure the pause before she offered a Pepsi instead only lasted a few seconds. But to me it was an eternity. "Pepsi's fine," I called over my shoulder, "I'm not going to drink it anyway." In the end I made it. But just barely. If anything is going to send someone to Yelp, it is an act of retail sadism like this. After all, if they'd treat me like that then they'll do it to you, too.

Terrible place. Had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Waited another 15 minutes to drinks. Had to wait almost 30 minutes to get those drinks. In between ordered our food. Waited 35 minutes to get food. 5 of 6 orders came out wrong. Then 1 came out wrong again after second try. Owner said it was right and without going into detail was asked to leave with 2 kids now hysterical. Would NEVER suggest this place for anything.

I cannot give a review of the food since we didn't stay. Only the service. A little over a week ago we walked in to have lunch around 12:30. Was greeted right away and shown to our table. After that we never had anyone visit our table to ask for our drink order. The tables around us were getting served and a good waiter would have noticed us sitting there without drinks. It was not busy. Maybe 10 people in the entire place. The other waitress and the host sat listening to music on the phones. An employee should NEVER be in customer view in this manor. On a side note, the music was also too loud.

Decent food, ok service. One table in the place and it took 25 mins for our food to arrive. With 3 small children this seems like forever. I'd give more stars but my 5 year old niece dropped her hot dog on the ground and they didn't replace it or take it off the bill. I overheard the waitress telling the owner about it and he denied her another hot dog....

DON'T GET NEAR THIS PLACE!!! Had to wait for our lunch for 75(!!!!) minutes, with three little hungry and tired kids... The waitress never said how long it would take... When we told this to the owner he started yelling and shouting that we don't have common sense, because we had to realize that when we saw that the place was full!!! Instead of apologizing, he was screaming at us like a maniac. The food was awful! Greasy and tasteless, and clearly we didn't get what we ordered. Never coming back. Wouldn't have given even 1 star :(

If I could give this zero stars I would. IF YOU ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN AND WANT TO POP IN HERE, AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! I had an awful experience. We were taking our children on a trip to the Crayola Experience and popped in for lunch. For starters, the waitress never brought us a high chair for our baby. My husband had to get it. Then we ordered fries. The menu says "Make Your Own." I was picturing shredded cheese on fries with a few toppings like what you would get at Chili's or Lone Star. We asked for jalapenos, cheese and bacon and then bought a $1 spicy dipping sauce (they have 5 or 6 to choose from for extra). My husband got a burger, I got a grilled cheese and our baby and toddler got a grilled cheese to share. A man comes with our food a short while later and gives me a kids grilled cheese. Why would I want to eat in a paper kids car? But I said it's fine. Then, the fries were disgusting. They were drowning in cheese whiz -- no shredded cheese -- and sour cream. Not what I pictured at all. My husband looks at me and says, "I won't eat this. It's overwhelming with cheese whiz." So I call over the man who brought our food and apologized. I asked if we can have small fries with just shredded cheese on it and can you take back the other plate ? He agrees. Next thing you know a very angry and threatening manager comes over and says, "What the problem?" I tell him I didn't realize it would be overwhelming with cheese. He was visibly angry and you can tell this manager is a loose canon. He snapped rudely and with an attitude, "Fine, I'll take it off the bill." Then, he looks at my husband and snaps, "Can you move your folded up stroller to the front?" The stroller was folded down next to the table. My husband said fine and moved it. No one told us to prior to sitting down and if we didn't get a high chair, where was the baby supposed to be seated in until it came? So then, the employees huddle in a corner in the back, staring and whispering loudly about us. What had to be the manager's girlfriend (not sure, in a Chee Burger uniform, though) storms over and goes, "I just want to ask you guys a question. Did your waitress tell you this came with toppings?" Again and for the third time, I say, "She did. But I did not realize the fries would have so much cheese." She then turns and walks away. Then, we never get the new plate of fries and honestly I was feeling so uncomfortable at this point, it didn't matter. But manager charged $1 for the dipping sauce we never used. The waitress said she would take it off. Then, she returns and says he manager "won't allow it" and if you want, "take it from my tip." Hence to say, I will now be disputing the $1 off my credit card.

I enjoyed this place. We really wanted a hamburger, and unfortunately the stand at the farmer's market ran out before we could get one. So we ended up here. I have heard nothing about the place. We thought the food was good, and I loved the full soda fountain. As others noted things are fried in peanut oil here, and my daughter is allergic so we did a grilled chicken sandwich and applesauce for her. I thought the service was decent and decor was fun - retro inspired. Prices I thought were a good value without going to a fast food restaurant. I would put it on my list. Good addition to downtown Easton.

What a fun place with yummy burgers! My grandchildren's favorite restaurant in Easton! Delicious milk shakes in every flavor imaginable. Great for all ages especially Boomers!

If there was a no star option I would click it. Our family was having a blast at Crayola Experience, and decided to find someplace to eat. It looks like fun environment like you stepped back in time, however it was short lived. We waited over 20 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated, we had no service for another 15 minutes. I saw a young guy heading our way. I knew he had to be coming to rescue us but instead headed to a different table. After, that I glared at the waitress and she came over to table. Took our order out came the drinks. That was fine however the kids were without straws so I had to walk up get straws. We waited for 25 minutes for our food to come out. It was okay nothing to write home about. We need drink refills and received none. Than came time for the check. It took another 10 minutes for the check to arrive, and I hand my card promptly as we had been there for about 1 hr 30 minutes at this point. I saw all kind of commotion going on. After about 10 more minutes they informed us the Internet server had to reset and would be a little while. I than decided at point decided to pay in cash. There was a bunch of commotion still going on after a few minutes. I went up to Server station she claimed the manager had my card. I had to go Manager he claimed the server had my card. So I went back to waitress and she exclaimed that she lost my card. After about 3 to five minutes of flipping out on Manager. She return my card. What really shocked me was the manager never once tried to adjust billing or anything. Never again. Please don't eat here.

The same poor business practices and bad attitude that put the cheeburger cheeburger locations in Westfield NJ and Flemington NJ out of business are alive and well at this location. You would think after this owners poor attutude and rudeness toward customers closed the doors for his other locations he would take a lesson, but i guess poor character can't be fixed. I wish I could leave negative stars.

Not going to lie I may have been slightly intoxicated when I was there however I do recall loving the burger (Patty Melt) and the service was friendly and quick. I have been craving to go back since.

Burgers are very juicy, shakes are excellent, the only thing I dislike here is the slow service. If this were to be corrected I think this place would be a home run.

Made mistake of walking into Cheeseburger Cheeseburger for a Monday lunch Worst service ever ~ took 10 minutes for server to come take our drink order. 12 minutes for 2 milkshakes Took over 30 minutes to get our food which nothing was complicated 1st last and only time I will come to this place

1st time at one of these. Service was slow but that's because it's made to order bathrooms were really clean. Decor was fun the kids really liked it milkshakes and cheese burgers served I'm a car box. I got a veggie burger it was good but not the best veggie burger I've ever had, but it didn't fit on the bun it hung off on two sides by a little over a finger with which I found odd. The burger and fries were a very greasy. But I kind of expected that. Also, they were a bit sparse with the toppings. My husband got the pounder and liked it he was super hungry. Apple sauce for the kids was good none of the kids like the cheese wedges which was deep fried Mac and cheese. Loaded fries the waitress easily swapped off the meat and let me add olives instead were very accommodating with customization. Word of warning anything fried is fried I'm peanut oil, so allergy people find another restaurant. Fun. Might go back.

I hear a lot about the place before I came and I was totally dissed when I went, other tables around me got the full service, I got the do u know what u want? My service SUCKED! I did something I never do, asked to see management ! Let her know how poorly I was treated, she was polite and gave me 10 percent off next trip , I will most likely give it to someone else.

I am really amazed at all the reviews. When i went the service was great! We did wait a little but there is always waiting at decent restaurants, and it was 15 minutes at max. All the servers were really friendly and the food was amazing. I got the salmon burger and i suggest it. I also liked the decorations and music, retro is an original idea and it was really fun! Definently a great experience do not listen to those other bad reviews, seven stars.

Sitting here still waiting for my food. I ordered 30 minutes ago. Sure I know this isn't McDonalds where they feed you instantly but 30 minutes is a long time to wait for a hamburger. I wonder if my food will ever come.... Oh wait, It's here. 35 minutes. Wow. So my medium hamburger came out well done. Very well done. At least it was hot. If you've got over an hour to kill for lunch and don't mind over cooked meat, this is the place.

    (3)
  • Chris C.

Food was good but they are not kidding about "not fast food". An hour for a burger and chicken fingers. I'd guess 15 minutes was wasted while we waited for someone to take our order, and to get our check to the table. The place had 4-5 tables and more than that many wait staff.

    (2)
  • Tanya M.

The staff seems like they could care less to be there. I guess they forgot that most of their money comes from tips that customers give them because of their service. The food is ok. It is a less greasy version of Five Guys. The marshmallow dip for the sweet potato fries was really yummy. If you don't mind the wait staff forgetting about you so they can talk in the corner, then it would be a fun place to go with the family.

We came here this past Saturday for lunch while visiting the Crayola factory. We were 2 adults and 2 kids. It was busy. Everyone working there seemed overwhelmed. We were promptly seated and handed menus and that's about where it started to go downhill. We had to flag down a server to take our order (drinks and food at the same time as we had been sitting for awhile). I asked for a water and it took 3 people to get it. It took almost 40 minutes for a veggie burger, turkey burger and grilled cheese and fries to get to our table. I realize that this is not fast food, but come on, you have to be faster than that- especially with kids meals. Once the food arrived it tasted fine, but it wasn't hot which it should have been (having taken 40 minutes to cook). There was a line out the door as we were leaving so I guess people just know they are going to wait if they come here for lunch. The hostess was fantastic and really kept her cool calmly helping everyone out. Overall, we will try another restaurant next time we are in the area.

Do not go here if you are starving or in a rush! It was an hour from the time we walked in until we got our food, and that was with being seated soon after walking in the door! We ate a late lunch on a Friday afternoon, so the place was not crowded. Most of the lunch crowd left before or as we were getting there.

  • John S.

Awful service! The staff is slow and cannot get a simple order correct. While I love the concept of being able to specialize your own salad what's the point i the staff can't remember what you ordered? Likely will not return which is a shame because downtown needs more fun casual places to take the kids.

  • Melissa G.

Terrible service. Only 4 tables were occupied and it still took over 30 minutes for our order to arrive. One order was completely wrong, but my 6-year old was so hungry he ate it anyway. We were still charged full price. Service was extremely poor and servers were clueless.

We loved this place. We went to eat there on Friday and loved it so much we went back on Saturday which happened to be my husbands birthday and the staff sang happy birthday to him and the service was extremely wonderful the staff, ezra and yenia and our server Carla and the manager stacy were extremely friendly. We loved the place the décor and the music and the food was great not a long time waiting and loved the mason cups and my son really ate the pounder and Carla took his picture and made 2 announcements one that my son juan had ate the pounder and that my husband Frankie had a birthday. I personally enjoyed the banana split and the owners really should open one in manhattan. thank you cheeburger cheeburger for making us feel at home.

My wife and I stopped in a week or so ago for a late dinner. There were 4 other tables occupied and our waitress was very prompt in taking our order. As other have noted the music is played so loud it is hard to have a conversation over the music. We order a loaded fries as an appetizer and a burger each. Our drinks came out very quick. Then the wait began, it took about 25 minutes to bring us a plate of cold fries, and the waitress failed to offer to refill our empty drink glasses. As we were waiting for our fries, we watched the 10 or so wait staff employees congregate behind the counter on the left side of the restaurant, standing around socializing like they were on break. When we asked our waitress to send the manager to our table after receiving our fries she went to get him, but he was too busy taking with the other idle employees that were huddled up behind the counter talking. I after 2-3 minutes I got up and walked over and asked the manager to break away from what he was doing in order to address to address our issue. I placed the plate of fires on the counter and asked him to grab one and explain to me how an order of fires takes almost 30 minutes and comes to the table with the fires being colder than room temperature and politely asked him to grab one of the fries so he could see how cold they were. To which he snapped back at me, "I am not going to touch them." I replied back to him and said, "You know if you were not standing around socializing with the staff, maybe one of them would have been available to run the order out to our table when they were ready, instead of letting it sit in the back getting cold." I then pointed out that there were only 5 tables occupied of which 3 had already had their food when we came in, and one table came in and was seated after us and it should not have taken 25 minutes to prep, cook and deliver an order of fires when it not busy. He snapped back at me basically telling me to not tell him how to do his job. At that point I stated that I wanted to pay for our drinks and go, since I am not going to patronize and establishment with such poor customer service, while pointing out that he is setting such a poor example for the staff he is supposed to be managing. He went to get our waitress so she could get our bill for the 2 sodas. I paid for the 2 sodas, and tipped the waitress based upon what we ordered but did not eat, since she should not be penalized because her fellow co-workers can not do their respective jobs. I have eaten at other Cheeburger Cheeburger locations and enjoyed the food and experience, the problems here seem to be rooted in the staff, management and franchise ownership. You typically see this sort of problems when you have a very hands off franchisee. I have a major client of mine in the franchise finance business and have seen many franchises fold due to poor unit leadership and non-involved ownership. I guess the only unknown now is how long will it take before this place closes up shop. Lastly if you are looking for a great burger in Easton, I you should go to Black & Blue or Porter's Pub.

The fried mac and cheese bites were good my burger however was not. The meat was extremely fatty and contained quite a bit of grizzle. Unfortunately it got worse when half way through my meal a giant black hair was protruding out of my burger. I've been to other locations and the food was great. I don't recommend this location.

Stay away! The service is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. The hostess seemed put out by having to seat us. It took 10 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us and come to the table. Then he didn't have a pen to take our order. He finally got it together and took our order and we never saw him again until he brought the check. We waited 45 minutes for our food and we only got it because my husband asked the useless hostess. I understand this isn't fast food but let's be real, it's not fine dining either. How long does it take to make burgers and fries?! When the food finally arrived it was luke warm and soggy. And our kids got the chicken fingers kids' meals which was ONE chicken strip cut into 4 pieces for each order. My 2 year old son wanted to know where the rest of his chicken went. Definitely not worth the wait. Don't waste your time and money at this place.

If I could rate it 0 stars, you know I would. I have been in the restaurant business for a long time, and I know a train wreck when I see one. The atmosphere looks fun, folks, but it's more of an aggravating headache once the ball gets rolling. My brother and I stopped here on our way through Easton yesterday, and though the restaurant was crowded, it was clear that there was more than enough staffing there to take care of us. Now to the real problems: 1. It took 30 minutes for our waitress to greet us, and when she did, she expected us to know what we wanted right away without even asking for our drink order. 2. When I did order my food, she asked if I wanted anything else on my burger to "fatten me up." (Um, EXCUSE ME?!?!) 3. My fries were cold, they didn't bring my coleslaw, and my plate had mushrooms that I didn't order on it! Had I been allergic, the restaurant would have been facing a law suit. 4. The waitress asked me to hand her dirty dishes from our table, and she was generally very impolite and acted as if she was talking to someone out on the street. Overall, a horrible experience with this place, and it's definitely not worth spending 10 bucks for a crap meal! UPDATE- Don't know why, but I went back to this piece of crap restaurant... Today, my boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner. It was less crowded, however, there were more employees on shift than there were actual customers. I thought perhaps this experience would be different from my last, but it failed to meet those expectations by a long shot. Once again, our waiter took over fifteen minutes to greet us and didn't take our drink order, just simply asked us what we wanted to eat. We both ordered water & chicken strips. The waiter asked us what kind of sauce we wanted and couldn't even remember what type of sauces they had. He made three trips back to our table before actually bringing our water as well. Meanwhile, he's goofing around with other employees in the back who are all seated doing NOTHING. Our food took forever to come out, and tasted like dirty water trash deep fried for about 20 extra minutes. The waiter never once refilled our drinks or even asked if he could get us anything else. To sum it up, we gave him a dollar to take home and wipe his ass with. NEVER COMING BACK.

Well the person who wrote the review about the owner being rude and ungrateful couldn't be more right. We visited this place today, waited an hour for our food in a restaurant that was full of other tables also waiting. We were patient but with small children it was difficult. Then the table behind us made a complaint because they were also waiting 60 minutes. The owner said and I quote "use common sense when a restaurant is full it's going to take a while for food..." He then turned to me and said "I can't believe these people". So I filled him in on how incredibly rude and unprofessional he was. After our food arrived it was near inedible. The kids burgers were burnt to a hockey puck, the fries where undercooked soggy grease soaked crap. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever experienced in a restaurant and the owner is clearly the root of the problem. If I could give this place negative stars I would and I'm going out of my way to post this in an effort to warn others.

    (1)
  • John M.

Food was worth a 4 star rating, but the service was slow and having to order fries separately made it a little expensive. The burgers taste like a less greasy version of 5 guys and if you can pay a little extra it is worth it.

  • Ana U.

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I didn't even get to eat here, since the "manager" didn't even say HELLO to us before throwing us out of the establishment because we wanted to get some lunch for my boyfriend's son. We had gotten a couple of coffees beforehand at another place and, without knowing you couldn't bring outside coffees in, we walked in to the place. This bald guy tells us "don't even think of sitting ourselves, you can't come in with those cups in your hands". Yeah, HELLO TO YOU, TOO. Just like that! We asked who he was and he said "I'm the manager. Sanitation laws prohibit you from coming in here with those cups". Yeah, that's a load of BS. So we turned around and left. We ended up eating someplace else but if you want to eat some good food and have some decent service, this is the WORST place to get it. If that's how they treat their customers, I don't even want to imagine what their service is like. They lost customers for ever.

Decided to bring my family here one night to see what all the pretty bright lights were all about. I figured it would be a good idea seeing as we are a big hamburger loving family, to go to a hamburger joint for dinner right? Wrong. The food took 40 minutes to come out and we were THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT!! How long does it take to make 3 hamburgers and a hot dog? The fries we ordered we cold, the burgers weren't cooked through, and the waiter never came to refill our drinks (I had to keep flagging him over when he wasn't hiding in the kitchen), and all my daughter wanted was a cheeseburger with pickles, and they forgot the pickles!! We had every intention on getting dessert but I was so disgusted with having to spend $50 on 3 hamburgers, a hot dog, and 2 orders of fries. Oh, and I got a parking ticket because they took so long. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE! You cant judge a book by its cover, it looks nice, but this place is a joke. If you want a good burger go to Five Guys, or Jakes Wayback. At least they wont make you wait 40 minutes for a 10 minute meal and then destroy your bank account. Awful.

Im so spoiled by shake shack and five guys that this joint didnt make my tastebuds dance. IMO, the fresh cut fries were to greasy. The hamburger was average tasting. Not horrible just mehhh. Service was attentive. Food came out in a reasonable time frame. This is my first and last time here. I would have given it a 3 star but the fries were greasy. I really wanted to love this place too

Nothing like the Flemington NJ chain! This place is terrible!!!! 20 mins ago they gave me my burger and we are still waiting for my husbands. After initially giving me the wrong burger instead of making a new one they pulled the cheese off and gave me back the same one (cold at this point) with new cheese (are you kidding me)???? The milkshakes and app was good but sorry to say we will never return to this location.

  • Morgan R.

Wish I could give this place no stars, but since 1 is the lowest I can go, that's it. Terrible service. Thought we'd give it a second chance, as we came when it first opened and it was a little crazy, but same crappy service. Not greeted, waited five minutes for someone to seat us, and when they did, threw our menus on the table and walked away. Took 10 minutes just for them to take a drink order. Server barely acknowledged us anytime she was at our take. Good burgers, but not worth it when you can get good burgers and better service elsewhere. Not even the "manager" acknowledged us on or way out, even just to say "have a good night, guys." Just ignored us and turned and walked away. Needless to say, we will not be going back to this location again, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Burger / fry / shake joints are a dime-a-dozen, so something novel or unique is needed. Cheeburger tries this by simulating a 50's/60's diner. Lots of neon, stainless steel, with pinks and greens. Frankly I found the decor rather tacky - but I guess some might like the nostalgic look. I assumed the restaurant was fast food, but it is not. They have a hostess seating you although they appear to have a take-out counter. We ordered a couple of different burgers, fries and shakes. The shake was excellent, the burger pretty good, but the fries were amongst the worst I've ever had. A putrid dark color, burnt ends, and luke-warm and soggy. Nothing worse!! Service was mediocre at best. Slow to bring drinks, slower to bring food, and slow on check. Given there was only 4 tables occupied, I would expect more with a wait staff of 4. No reason to go here. Stick with Five-Guys or even Jakes if you are in the mood for a burger.

I really wish I could give this place 0 stars. What a shit hole. We were the only people in the place besides one other couple who appeared to be friends of the owner. The guy at that table was clearly selling drugs out of the place. It took over an hour to get 3 shakes and a banana split Sunday. Really? What kind of idiots work at this place? Not only did it take forever to get our ice cream, but the banana split did not come with any banana or toppings that were ordered! I don't remember ordering 3 scoops of ice cream in a line on a dish! Fuck this place. Fuck the dumb employees. Hopefully this pitiful excuse for a restaurant closes it's doors soon and makes way for a real one. Terrible service. Easton cops watch this place for drug dealing.

Holy crap, the service here is bad. And it's young, hungry children with zero attention spans. The family of four sitting next to us actually got up to leave because no one had even come to serve them. Finally someone did and then we had to complain and ask for a waitress. This is not waiting for food. This is waiting to ORDER! There was a gentleman at the "bar" who ordered one (1) milkshake and waited close to 30 minutes for it. Oddly, the food isn't bad. It's a good burger.

My husband, mother and I came here with our three children and had to wait over an hour for VERY mediocre food. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was edible, but didn't even come with fries or anything. The kids meals were served in paper classic cars, which they loved, but were very hard to eat on. The grilled chicken was very bare and tasteless and the chicken finger basket also didn't even come with fries. It was such a disappointment after waiting with three over-hungry screaming kids for an hour! When we complained about the wait we got a few sorrys before we were handed our fifty dollar bill (again - for plain small baskets with out any sides!) I feel that they could have at least comped the drinks or the kids meals.

  • Alan C.

I wished I had read the reviews beforehand and went somewhere else. Please do yourself a favor and avoid. Poorly run would be the best way to describe the restaurant! We found similar delay in getting our meals as mentioned in the other reviews . We were in no rush but an hour and half for burgers and fries is way too long. We did not even consider ordering desert. The check took over 15 minutes even after I had to track down my waitress. Concerning the food. It seems their is a wide variation in burger sizes I ordered the 10 oz burger and my wife ordered the 7 oz burger. There was a big difference in the amount of meat more than the 3 ounces listed in the menu. I ordered medium but definitely received well. My daughter ordered the children's chicken sandwich. She had a half of a chicken finger in the sandwich. Fries were ok not great. The manager apologized for the delay, but frankly it was not that packed. I think it is just mismanaged. Multiple people came into the restaurant but we're not acknowledged or seated. After 15 minutes they left. This was when the restaurant was less than a third full. The only good news is that I will not need to visit this restaurant in the future. There are a lot of nice restaurants in Easton so no need to visit this restaurant.

Beats Red Robin in the veggie burger department. Half the price, a bigger burger and quadruple the FREE toppings. Service was quick and staff was knowledgable. We had a vanilla Pepsi and a chocolate covered banana shake with Reese's Pieces. Fries were fresh cut with dipping sauce options. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I was hesitant to give this place a try after reading the other reviews. But, I'm glad I did because the burgers here with all the toppings are delish. I'd really like to give this place a 3 1/2 but I couldn't figure out how to or if u can. So, the service was not bad. The wait time was a little long, but not as bad as others complained about. The appearance of the staff is a little rough around the edges. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly, but missing teeth, covered in tats and the host had a huge hickey on his neck. He was not a kid either. Not cute at all. When it comes to consuming food, appearance is everything, including the ppl handling the food. So maybe they can work on that. Aside from that it was a good experience and will be back, prob for takeout.

After hearing mixed reviews from coworkers about this place, I figured I would give this place a shot. My boss and I went for a late lunch, place was dead. Maybe 5 tables max. Our waitress, who I assume was in training as she was accompanied by another employee sat us and struggled taking our drink order down. I hear their milkshakes are good, but opted out of them. The food took a long time to get out, I understand the food is made to order - but one plain cheeseburger and fries shouldn't be an entire process. Food was mediocre at best. During the course of the meal I watched 2 orders for other tables get messed up. No bueno. The atmosphere of the place reminded me of a high school hangout spot, with numerous employees hanging out and having fun with each other. I would say try this place if the food was any good. But don't waste your time.
