Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I came here for take out. I ordered the fried dumplings which came with 8 dumplings for $4. Can you say bargain? And then I ordered pork fried rice and shrimp lo mein. I wasn't a huge fan of these honestly. The lo mein noodles seemed to be a little too mushy. The rice was a little different. My father said it was Pennsylvanian rice. The inside of the restaurant looked nice and I am interested to dine in for their buffet.

I have eaten at dozens of buffets throughout the tri-state area and this is hands down the best. The sushi is fresh and delicious, the hibachi is a nice addition to the unbelievable amount of food available. My family has never eaten anything here that we didn't love. The selection is endless but I would recommend the hot and spicy chicken, fried dumplings, and any of the soups.

Horrible buffet with cold salty food. The chicken dishes were rubbery and the broccoli was complete mush. Do yourself a favor and go a few miles down the road to the Bamboo house and get quality Chinese food.

Awful place. Don't waste your money. They r soo stingy cheap with their food. Will never walk into this place again.

Good food, very clean, nice atmosphere. Service was good. Very large buffet. They have a sushi chef and grill chef. We went for Mothers Day and they had a buffet seafood special for 15.99. Lobster, raw oysters and clams, shrimp, crayfish, steamed crab legs, whole crab, flounder and salmon. Full sushi bar. Hibachi grill with steak, fish, chicken. Lots of other dishes Full dessert bar. Everything was fresh and hot. Definitely will be going back.

What an interesting and memorable restaurant! My friend and I stumbled upon this place on the Sunday night of our ski vacation. We were exhausted and hungry, and unfortunately many of the restaurants near Shawnee were closed on Sunday. Royal Asian Buffet is a party! Aside from every asian dish (including sushi, korean BBQ, dumplings, noodles, etc), they have favorite American options like wings and macaroni. Sure, it's a little tacky...but unlimited crab legs, dumplings, and mozzarella sticks in one restaurant for 12.99? That's pretty hard to beat. Despite a lot of fried food and food with MSG, the options were fresh and tasty! I strayed away from the raw oysters...but I was tempted for sure. Definitely not for upscale diners, but the atmosphere is fun/hilarious, the food is good with endless options, and the service is great!

Excellent service. Funny older gentleman sitting us. Very clean. Fantastic food selection!! Would highly recommend. One of the best Chinese buffet our family has ever been too.

Best Chinese buffet I have ever found.

Just felt like going for Chinese on a Friday night. Decided to check out this buffet. Upon arrival the atmosphere seemed bright and inviting. We were seated right away, the greeter was friendly and polite. Unfortunately the booth we sat at apparently had a tear in the seat that was taped over with duct tape. I was surprised because this buffet was opened only last year. The buffet had a wide variety of food. The food was fresh and tasty. The one thing I didn't care for was the wait staff hovering around us while eating. When we the check was brought to our table, a card with a note reminding to leave a tip between 15-20% is recommended. I found this to be tacky. The servers only bring drinks which at other buffets I typically leave well less than 15%. Overall it's about the quality of food, this buffet hits the mark

I have eaten here three or four times over the last year. The food is always great. The staff is a bit to be desired with lack of attention to tables.

Might be the worst buffet I've experienced. Visiting the area for the weekend and was looking for something affordable and good. While the place was affordable, I would have preferred to pay more for a better meal. The fried rice was stale, the General Tso chicken was undercooked and dark meat was used. Not used to that in the DC area. And for some reason everything I got was cold. I saw steam everywhere but everything I got was cold. Not a great experience by any means.

What a nice surprise, good food, great Seafood selection, clean, wait staff was nice. I would go back again and again.

Pretty good, although probably a little seafood heavy considering it's a buffet. Don't know what user "Stu R" (if that is his real name) is talking about. If you get mac and cheese at an Asian buffet, you deserve whatever happens to you.
(4)Michael B.
This was our 3rd time going after a period of 9 months or so. Each time the quality goes downhill. The meat wasn't too bad but the rice was dry, as was the lo mein. The soup was extremely salty and the Wontons were gross. There was hardly anything in the egg rolls. Pretty sure this was the last time we are going

No idea what the hype is about this dirty place. Take the cheesy seating. Boy i see better seating on school buses. Hey royal asian buffet, buy seating that is not ripped to pieces, torn and repaired with electrical tape! Most of the food you are wondering what you are eating. Truly our worst buffet experience in the poconos so far. Our recommendation, stay away unless you want to be sick,
(1)Stu R.
The mac and cheese was truly inedible. Avoid this place at all costs. Shame on royal Asian Buffet for besmirching the Poconos with their non-food food.

I love this place. The service is fairly friendly but who cares cause the food is great. Very authentic, something for everyone. The crab legs are cooked perfectly. Love the oysters. Great quality for a buffet. Great Price. Love coming here!

Not a perfect 5 because.....its a buffett!! doesnt have to be a 5 star buffett esspecially for the price. Excellent, fresh, and oddly right on point for a chinese buffett in stroudsburg/milford area. The price includes unlimited trips to buffett which has a chef that cooks up steak/chicken/shrimp/veggies/rice whatever you throw at him. He's a humerous and good man. Very pleasant service and accomadating to large groups. Only thing I didnt see and concerned me was the pizza. There is always a random pizza at the china buffett!! LOL Everyone has there opinion, but I feel like you cant go wrong here!!
(4)Joe G.
Food is great but they're not so quick to replenish the trays after 8pm. Pickings are slimmer or over cooked at night.
(4)Brooke A.
Food was fresh and delicious. Great selection. Hibachi style food wasn't truly hibachi. The only drawback for me was the dessert. They had tons of ice cream which was a plus for me, but the rest of the dessert selection was poor, some of it stale, and oddly placed next to food like octopus. Still would recommend it as a great place for families and large groups visiting the area.
(4)Sharon H.
the selection of was great but thats it!!!!!! the food was horrible, the wait staff kept giving us dirty looks as we sat and eat they wanted us to leave. Gave us the bill before we were done eating. We will never go back there, it looks great when you walk in then you start to eat OMG!!!!! The price its a rip off for how terrible the food is. Now we do not feel good at all.
(1)Steve M.
Very nice selection of food. The largest selection at a buffet in the area. The food was hot and fresh. It actually has flavor! The buffet was endless...so many things to choose from. The hibachi grill was very good. There was not a huge variety of ingredients to choose from but all of the basics were covered. The buffet includes a large variety of american foods as well, so kids should have no trouble finding something to eat. My 8 year old loved it!
(4)Pat C.
Love this place. Went there the day it opened. Very clean, many tables of food to choose from. Will def. be going there again. Highly recommended .
(5)Enrique S.
This place is awesome! Perfect location! Great food from seafood to ribs! Highly recommended!
(4)James H.
I normally don't go to buffet restaurants since I care more about taste than portion! But this place is a good surprise after I went there once with friends! It provides good tasty foods (lobster, steamed fish, fried frog legs, oyster and clams, etc) with both quality and quantities for only $12.99 ! I will definitely come back with my whole family.
(5)C N.
This place was 'ok', most of the food was seasoned similarly and some of the food was over cooked. The hibachi is the best choice for entrees. There was a huge selection for desert and some people in my party like it. Compared to where I am from - I have had much better all you can eat Asian buffets.
(2)Bob T.
Incredible selection. Best buffet in the poconos for the price. Hibachi and sushi. The only thing I didn't like was on Presidents Day it was dinner price all day.
(5)Ant N.
Food was good and the service was great too. The Korean barbecue was done perfect. Everything was hot and the place was spotless.
(4)Yianni K.
I thought since I'm paying $15 a person this buffet would be great because its brand new and is always packed when I drove past! Well this bad has to be one of the WORST Chinese restaurants in the Poconos !!! Whatever u do not come here!!! It's way over priced and the food is horrible!!!!!!!

On 7/8/14 I went to this establishment as I have on many occasions. Originally my family and I were going to go elsewhere but because of the proximity decided to go here. It was around 7:40 pm when we arrived and to our surprise there wasn't much fresh food out. Everything was cold and hard, with the exception of the soups and the chef who makes the sushi was just standing there talking with a coworker in front of the empty plates which should have held sushi. As I said I have been here many times and have even recommended this place to a few people but I have never encountered this situation. At 8:15 and $46 later for a party of 3 we decided to leave, but not before trying to nicely describe how bad this experience was to the manager. He stated they were closing soon so that's was the explanation for the empty pans and cold hard food which he insisted was hot. I asked what time were they closing and he said 10:00, I said we arrived at 7:40 and next to nothing was put out. He asked if we wanted something made. We said we came for the variety, not to have one specific thing made. In between the time we arrived and left, approximately 6 families arrived. My thinking is you should be catering to the customers. You see customers arriving, more food should be cooked. In any event I don't think I will be back there, wasn't happy with the results of the conversation. I gave an extra star for all my previous visits otherwise it would have been one. Maybe whoever was in charge this evening does not know how manage the kitchen. Very disappointed!

I thought this buffet would be like all the other Chinese buffets I've been to, but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was good and upbeat, very clean, and, the most important of all, the food was great! Nothing was overly greasy and everything I tried had its own unique flavor. You definitely get your money's worth and then some!
