Bar is packed and I can understand why. They have 14 draft beers plus Guinness and the bartenders are excellent. This place takes their chicken wings very seriously and it shows. Don't forget to order the chipper fries ....yum.

The Town Tavern, long-known for having the best wings around, is one of your best options in the Pittston area. If you're interested in a place to go to watch the game and kick back some beers, this is your place. The TV's and beer selection/prices are still the best in town for your buck and the conversation at the bar is always lively. Recently, the food has been much, much better, not to mention the quality and consistency of getting the orders right. Keep it up, Tavern!

I only had TT's wings once, and it was not a great experience. Apparently, you're not supposed to get these wings as take out, and if you do, you're supposed to ask for them "extra crispy". I wasn't aware of that and ordered just plain "hot". I wasn't able to finish. They were incredibly soggy and greasy. The skin was falling off and bones were breaking apart. I don't like writing bad reviews, but this wasn't good. However, I am certainly willing to give TT another chance, definitely "eating in" this time.

This is a very good local bar. I love the vibe and the good food that they put out. Definitely the kind if place where I could plant myself for multiple hours. Maybe the second best wings in the valley next to Mickey Gannon's... Certainly more variety in the wing menu and general menu as well. I think my brother and I have come to a consensus that the wings are better are Gannon's, but the fries are better at Town Tavern.

Town tavern. Is a great little local secret in Pennsylvania. I have drove past this place about 20 times. One day a co worker suggested it fir lunch. I ended up going after work with a co worker. Parking was a pain in the neck. The parking lot is super small and I almost had a hummer back into me. TT doesn't have a big sign out front but I heard they have award winning wings. I had to try them. They are right down the road from our second location in PA. When I went inside it was packed with really friendly locals. The bar was shaped funny. Seating was all in the back and you sat your self. But they had 1 waitress on duty. They have a great selection of wings and really cheap. It was $12 for 20 wings. In NY that is unheard of your lucky if you pay $1 a wing on a good night. I got the spicy BBQ and my co worker got the 20 BBQ garlic. They were really good better than any chain wings I have had. And the best by far in PA I have had. The prices are super cheap. It's a old School attitude offering good food done right for cheap. We got rum and cokes they were good. I was not a local but they def respected me and that was nice. I will defiantly be back here my next trip in. PROS -food is cheap but good -best wings I have had in PA -local hangout CONS -parking is really limited.

My girlfriend and I were headed to the airport nearby but wanted to get something to eat first. Outside of the place didn't look that inviting. Once inside we were greeted by many friendly people. It was easy to tell that it was a local bar but they welcomed us like we were a regular. Girlfriend ordered a salad I ordered a sandwich both were gigantic and a great bang for the buck. Decent amount of choices on taps of beer. Numerous TVs inside the bar with each one showing a different sporting event. Bartender was very friendly and very talkative. The next time we fly out of Scranton airport we guarantee were stopping there it's going to be our regular stop. Place inside is very clean and very organized the outside just needs to be spruced up a bit. Highly recommend this bar if you're in the area

10 year customer! My family and myself have been coming here since as long as I can remember. We usually order the mild garlic wings with celery and blue cheese. The wings are always good but for some odd reason the celery is always an obstacle. Sometimes you get celery sometimes you don't. When you get celery sometimes it comes packaged nicely outside the hot wings and sometimes its packaged inside the wings. This time was a little overboard. I opened the foam container up to find the cold "fresh" celery scattered all around the hot wings. Making the celery hot, soggy and anything but tasty. This is totally unexceptable in my eyes. I know this isnt the entire places fault. More than likely just a young punk kid working in the back throughing things together because that's how he/she was raised to not pay attention to detail. If done to enough customers this place could lose a lot of business. So what I am trying to say is if you are a fellow Yelper and customer make sure you reiterate and double check your order if you intend on doing business with this place. As for the management at Town Tavern Im not going to tell you how to run your business, but I think you get the point. See picture attached.

Much better this last time around. It was real busy due to a holiday weekend but overall the food was real good.

Very much a corner bar atmosphere and locals hangout, but a very friendly place with incredibly good wings. I haven't eaten that many wings in a long time but couldn't stop myself. The General Tso's sauce was better than expected with just the right amount of ginger. The highlights were the Cajun garlic sauce and the hot garlic parmesan. Very meaty, fresh wings, cooked perfectly crispy. Generously sauced. Quality, chunky bleu cheese dressing. I got a grilled chicken salad to-go amd the chicken could have used a bit more flavor. Didn't seem to be marinated or seasoned at all. The salad was simple "bag salad", but the house balsamic dressing was amazing. I could drink a pint of it. So the salad was so so, but great dressing. The wings were a little pricey and the default order size is only 10. They charged $1 to split the order for 2 sauces, which seemed a little excessive in light of the base price of the wings. Beer selection was decent and prices on beer weren't bad. Overall a great place and I'd go back for the awesome wings.

Great food, and relatively cheap. They usually have a pretty good beer selection on draft. The wings are a must! The place is small and seating is limited, and usually draws a big crowd on the weekends, so I would suggest arriving early in the evening if you want to sit down and eat.

I've been coming here for years and it keeps getting better. daily food and drink specials if you're on the cheap, but craft beers for that crowd as well . Sunday fun day, Tuesday yuengs and wings... I could go on and on. this is a great time, day or night. You won't be disappointed.

Great little spot for good bar food and more. The menu is actually pretty extensive - mostly fried food and burgers. Boneless wings are great and they have decent pizza, too. They only have a few tables in the back and a nice sized bar in the front. Only issue is they only ever have one waitress on duty so the service is never great. Get more servers!

Town Tavern has good Pizza and great food. Their chicken tenders are fantastic and their food is always delicious. I usually take out and it's easily one of my favorite food spots.

Award Winning Wings! The best wings you will get anywhere in the area. Hands down. The bar has the plenty of TVs and good daily specials too. Definitely one of the best bars for food and watching the game.

Tavern bites are good. I prefer to take out because the service is unreliable. They have good bar food.
