This use to be my go-to place for a distraction when I was in High School. Just because I am no longer in high school doesn't mean that it still cannot serve as a distraction. I mean especially since the Slinky is made nearby. This place is geared more towards children, but an adult can have fun here as well. Arcade games dot the main floor, much like that of Chuck E Cheese or Dave N Busters. Much like those places you earn tickets to claim a prize at the end of your time here. If you would rather not spend your money to earn tickets you could also enjoy a game of laser tag. Much of my time was spent in the black lit room firing away my beam and taking numbers. There are also indoor bumper cars, not as fun in my opinion. And a romper room play area for younger children to run around in. Let them climb high and jump around in a ball pit. For the area, this is great. And you can honestly say, this is an one of a kind place.

I would give this place 5 stars if they had more games and better food. The food is terrible. The play area is really nice, but it'd be nicer if they had a larger area for small toddlers where the parents could fit too. I only come here on the day where they offer free soft play because it's just not worth it to me.

The food here was over priced, and not too good. Though the laser tag is awesome... But unless you come just to play laser tag, go to Chuck E Cheese.

This place is amazing!!! Took my 4 year old while visiting Altoona and it was a pleasant surprise. $2 for the bounce houses, and $5 for the giant play structure. My son had a great time! $7 for two hours of fun -- mama likey!!! Especially the sleep he had afterwards from wearing himself out!!!

Well. How can you not love a place where you walk-in through the middle of a giant slinky? The Action Zone, really has several different zones. 1) Small-Kid Playspace / Plastic-Ball Germ-Pit Zone This takes up the most real estate. It's surprisingly inexpensive. And it's great for wearing out kids who have lots of pent up energy. It's huge. Maybe a bit too rough and tumble for some smaller kids. But my boy is tough, so he loved it. And he came out without catching any strange social diseases. So, that's good. 2) Daddy Can I Have Just One More Token Arcade Zone Don't get me wrong, I love arcades. Sadly this one has too few games, and too many "throw the token down a bottomless pit in sheer folly of winning hundreds of precious prize tickets". But they do have DDR. And you haven't lived until you have seen a toddler rocking the double-pad to "girlfriend is a centerfold". Ski ball and air hockey round it out for the old school. 3) Mysterious "Laser Tag" Behind Locked Door Zone I have no idea what is behind those mysterious doors. But I'm thinking it has something to do with bigger kids getting all sweaty with toy guns and strap on vests. And I'm guessing they keep it pretty dark. I tell you what... my kid is NOT going in there. 4) Ghetto Bumper Car Zone Um... those aren't bumper cars. I have no idea exactly what they are. They move, and they bump. But bumper cars are one thing. And it has an electric ceiling, and the vehicles kinda look like cars. But these cars were powered by something else, and looked like they were surrounded by giant innertubes. 5) Family Food Zone There was a menu, but I don't think I would eat anything here that did not come pre-packaged. All in all, I saw a lot of younger kids having a great time here. And a lot of older ones looking bored. It seems like with a little more work and polish, this place could be awesome. If you are under five, it is.

I have been taking my kids to this place for years now each time we come home and it is a blast for them every time. I would agree with Danel B's comments about the bumper cars and laser tag. We have eaten here several times and the food has been average with no real issues to post about. I like the play area here and the food from Chuck E Cheese, so put the two together and you'd have one awesome place for kids.
