Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I'm reading reviews that say they have good pizza, but I'm not sure as I've never had it. But what I DID get was a club sandwich with no bacon (I never even eat club sandwiches but was actually craving the bacon). Wouldn't have been a big deal until I opened my tomato basil soup. It's heated up Ragu. Yes, that's what I said, RAGU. I wasn't only disappointed but I was mad! How could they not know I would know this isn't soup, but Ragu?! I DON'T EVEN EAT RAGU AT HOME! lol. Thanks DH Pizza. Thanks.

I have ordered from here since and must say I was very pleased with the food quality and timeliness of delivery. May have just had an off night last time. Good spot.
(4)Mary F.
We came for a light Monday dinner and we were pleased! Dan had a Greek Island salad and I had a small individual Margherita pizza which was tasty

I really love the ambience here. It's a cool place with big windows to watch the snow fall. My son and i have gone here many snowy nights just to get out of the house. The food is pretty good. I have no real complaints.

Because he was raised with the standards of New York pizza, my Fiancé is a definite pizza snob. I grew up making my own pizza every friday night, and so I hate it when pizzas don't taste fresh and are made with canned ingredients and fall under the snob category as well. We've tried nearly every single pizza joint within a 10-mile radius and Drexel Hill Pizza is the only one that we can both agree on as being good. Their crust is just a little bit springy but not too dense, the bottom and edges are usually just slightly caramelized and crispy, their cheese is tasty without being bland or overly-greasy, and their vegetables are actually fresh! DEATH TO ALL CANNED MUSHROOMS! We love Drexel Hill. Love them. Even though they trashed up the place by putting those tacky beer signs up, going into the restaurant is actually a really good experience! Don't be taken aback by how horrendous it looks from the outside. The inside is casual enough that you don't have to worry if you're just there to share a pie and head home for the night, but intimate enough that we frequently go there for date nights. In-person, their pasta meals are AMAZING. Seriously. The eggplant parm is perfectly crispy and they top it with fresh basil and plate it in a way that isn't fancy-schmancy, but doesn't look gross and thrown down haphazardly. When they deliver pasta, they seem to take significantly less care, with the pasta itself often being either completely un-sauced or entirely over-sauced. They also ALWAYS melt the lids on their plastic containers. Seriously, we order from them at least once a week and have never gotten a container that wasn't melted. Even though the taste is above and beyond when you dine in, they NEVER disappoint when they deliver. The delivery guys are awesome, and their food always gets to us in a surprisingly short amount of time. I've also had extremely pleasant interactions over the phone when I've called in to order something absolutely ridiculous, like the time I just wanted a sub roll full of sautéed mushroom, fresh tomatoes, and melted provolone cheese. Go to Drexel Hill, order from them... Whatever. Just give them your money! And Drexel Hill Pizza Grill, we gotta talk. You've got to update your website. Your menu is completely incorrect on there. Also, get on Grub Hub! Online ordering is where it's at! And lastly.... Please include some more vegetarian options. Veggie burgers are pretty standard nowadays. Does your potato corn chowder really need to be made with chicken stock? 'Cuz it sounds amazing and I flippin' love soup. I'm just sayin'.

I could not wait to finish eating to start this review. I have a new favorite pizza place. The drive from West Philly was worth it. I passed this place about 50 times saying I was going to come. Finally I have arrived. My only complaint is our waitress didn't give her name. But she is super nice and quick. Great customer service skills. Okay now the food. I wish they carried Canada Dry ginger ale, but I guess I can't have everything. We ordered mild buffalo wings. I was leery of the size, but the smell was amazing and so was the taste. So good that we ordered another round of the hot ones. Even better! Trust me, I'm a wing connoisseur. For pizza, we had buffalo chicken. Ay we like buffalo chicken flavor. Second best buffalo chicken pizza I had in my life. There are actually two slices left and there might be a fight for them. Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend this place because I will be back soon. Enjoy.

I called in to place an order, and stated shrimp primavera I corrected the order and stated primavera with penne and shrimp. When the order arrived no shrimp. So we order from Drexel Hill Pizza two to three times a month on Saturdays as our daughter enjoys the French Fries and so we are what we thought good customers. Obviously we weren't good enough customers, when my wife called back to correct the order and to see if DHP would correct the issue, rather then having a satisified customer they wanted to argue that we were wrong. At a time when the competition for these dollars is so competive you would think they would have gone just a little extra mile to keep us happy, but no. So we'll be saying no to Drexel Hill Pizza and yes to Pats.
(2)Patty C.
What a disappointment! From our order to the actual food. When I ordered something with topping on the side the person on the phone grumbled his displeasure at my request. When my husband brought the food home the cheesesteak had very little meat and the salad was nothing more than sandwich topping assembled in a bowl. During high school when our daughters had part time jobs they ate here all the time. Now that we are empty nesters we are looking for a local place to get a quick decent meal. It will not be Drexel Hill Style Pizza.
(2)Mark Z.
I went here to get some food to go for dinner. The staff there were friendly and the food was cooked quickly. The chicken cheesesteak and fries were basic, so no complaints there. There were flies in the place due to the door being kept open, so maybe it should be kept closed.
(3)Holly A.
Pretty delicious! We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was in between thin/thick crust and pretty greasy but some days, greasy pizza is what you need! And it's pretty cheap - large pizza less than $15! And better yet, we called to order and it was ready in 10 minutes, better than a Drive Thru! We will def be ordering more items from this place. Big Thumbs Up!

Please update your website NOW! When ordering take-out from the menu posted on-line, it clearly states entrees come with salads. When I asked about onions not being on that salad, the woman on the phone told me salads aren't included anymore. I told her I was reading directly from the menu, but she told me they changed the policy. I picked up and paid for the order and took it home. Not until I focused on the receipt did I notice the prices had also increased and were different from what was noted on-line. The just-ok, very heavy veal parm went up $1 in price and the ravioli went up $2. The woman taking my order knew I was looking at an outdated menu...on their website!...so wouldn't it have been the right thing to do is tell me here was also a price increase. Definitely won't go back. Should have stuck to my usual place!
(1)Greg L.
Stopped in here with a buddy before heading down to Citizens Bank Park. This isn't a real big place, but not sure how crowded it typically gets. I just went with the bacon cheese burger and fries. The burger is served on a Kaiser roll and overall it was fine, but nothing special. Onions, lettuce, and tomato are served on the side. The fries were your generic fries, and again, nothing special. Service was fast and friendly. Next time I would try their pizza or some of their Italian dishes.
(3)Mark F.
I live within walking distance and have gotten both take out and dine in quite a few times. The girls that work the counters always have smiles and the food is good quality as well. The Chicken Parmesan grinder and the Grilled Chicken Salads have become my regular meals when I don't feel like looking at the menu. The pizza crust probably is my least favorite part of Drexel Hill Pizzeria. It's more of a softer, chewy crust. I prefer Neapolitan dough which tends to be thin, crunchy, and airy. That's just my personal preference - the toppings and calzones have always been great.
(5)Rita C.
My family and I used to go here often. . . keywords "used to." The food here is actually pretty decent (with the exception of the greasy pizza) but the service is a completely different story. Over the past 2 or 3 months, the takeout service has gotten progressively worse. Every time we placed an order for pick up (we would typically go here 2-3 times a month), there was an issue. The issues ranged from missing items, to incorrect items, to taking an order for mozzarella sticks when you were out of them and not notifying the customer before pickup occurred. Most recently, our order was "lost" and then it had turned out that it was given to another customer - we ended up waiting almost an hour to receive our order all while dealing with a rude cashier who made a few attempts to get us to pay before actually receiving our order, which, in the end, was incorrect yet again. When we actually tried to talk to the owner about what happened, he wanted nothing of it. Sorry, Drexel Hill Pizza, but you will no longer be getting any service from my family and I will be sure to spread the word about our experiences there. I will truly miss your eggplant Stromboli.
(1)SANDRA R.
I recently got a cheesesteak and bag of chips from this place. Cheesesteak was gross. Literally tasted like bagged boiled cafeteria meat on a roll with ketchup and onions. I will never go here again and recommend that all follow suit.
(1)Danielle R.
Went here last friday night for the first time. It's cute inside, yet also cozy. One of the workers (I am assuming the owner) was going around to the tables, saying hi to everyone. He actually sat down with the couple next to use, and brought out a fruit tray for them and talked with them for awhile...I am not sure if he knew them or not but it was a nice gesture. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp (picture to follow) which was actually very good - I find that bacon-wrapped anything is yummy. I also had a burger, which was good. The waitress was pretty good, all of the workers were quite nice. We were on a strict time schedule, and everything moved along at a fairly nice pace. Will definitely be coming back again.

OUTSTANDING. I thought the first time was just kismet so I had to go back a second time. This place is the best kept secret in Drexel Hill. 1st time, had ravioli and meatballs. Son had a medium stromboli which looked pretty large to me. These meatballs were homemade. They were tender; not that ugly, over-processed, disgusting grey color, mass-produced food service meatballs. The sauce was perfect and not overly salted like most restaurants. More than ample portions, came with warm bread. I had a salad with mine. Very affordable. This place is clean, pleasant and comfortable. We went back a week later. This time I had a small calzone which I could not finish. I had a Caesar salad for an appetizer and the dressing was delicious. Son had Wedding Soup, again with homemade meatballs and a very flavorful chicken broth. The stromboli and calzone are packed with fillings and the offerings are abundant. You can construct any kind of stromboli or calzone you want. The dough is particularly good - very crispy on the outside and soft & doughy inside. We had no room for dessert either time, but I bet they're great. Drexel Hill Pizza is well attended by the owner and chef, Chris, who came out and said hello and welcomed us. Very casual and a great place for a date. Oh - and if you're going to Drexel Hill Pizza, I would pick so many other things over a cheesesteak. There are no good cheesesteaks in Drexel Hill, period. I seriously doubt any meat served here is "bagged" or "boiled" or "cafeteria" grade. It's called Drexel Hill PIZZA, not Drexel Hill Cheesesteaks. This restaurant is quality all the way.
(4)Amanda L.
My patents have been eating this pizza since before I was born and loving it, once i was born you bet I grew up with it. Even now that we've moved to NJ I still order a pie every visit back home.
(4)J R.
We have visited several times. Food is always good, place is always clean, service is ok, had both good and a bit slow but always attentive. We like the place and visit often, never had a bad meal.
(4)Bob N.
This b.y.o.b. is an under rated neighborhood gem. Bring your favorite vino, order a Mediterranean platter, their salmon or any of the superb pasta dishes. Expect casual, not formal, service. Great value.
(4)Ethan T.
Food was good enough to order from again but it took forever. I was the only person in the restaurant and all I ordered was a chicken Caesar and water. Waitress Did the best she could but 20 minutes with no other customers in there doesn't work for me.
(2)Marc M.
Crust was nice and crisp. Delivery was fast. A touch on the salty side but I'd order again.
(4)Dave F.
Food isn't bad but service is horrible. Someone before me mentioned orders being incorrect. It is every time. Too many kids working behind the counter. Sorry, I don't want to blame it on youth. Too many stupid people working behind the counter. I ordered two large pizzas and they made three. I told them I only ordered two. I took the third because I could reheat it and it really wasn't worth the arguement as it has happened before. I blame myself. If you do order make sure you have them repeat the order and give you a price.
(1)manu d.
New look, newely added menu, nice friendly service!!!! Love it..! Love the cozy seating change.
(5)Ken F.
Cannot comment on service because if I am going to sit down somewhere it wouldn't be in a pizza place. With that being said, food is incredible. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and cheese steaks are the best in Delco. Good quality food, fast delivery and reasonably priced. Their pizza is not on my favorites list but everything else i have was dynamite.
(5)Michael L.
I often would order delivery and take-out from Drexel Hill Pizza and would have described the fare as good. The recently underwent a major addition and renovation and are doing business as Drexel Hill Pizza and Grill. What had been a hole-in-the-wall now offers sit-down dining with wait staff in a pretty nice environment. The menu has been expanded to include paninini and more entrees, and they offer some creative salads that have always been crispy and fresh. They still deliver as well.
