Excellent for breakfast, I popped in one morning on the way to work. Friendly service and a nice menu. But I'll save you the trouble of all that reading. Just get the "Mile High French Toast". It's awesome. No, really. Awesome. Light fluffy challah bread, topped with syrup in a bowl. And on top, caramelized bananas. Yes, really. Coffee refilled often. I'd love to go back!

Came here for lunch with a client. The place was bustling at noon on a Friday, but things were moving quickly and the service was fast. Biggest plus: breakfast served all day and the omelets looked fantastic. Anything you could possibly imagine, they have it here. I went with an Ahi Tuna wrap which was dry and less flavorful than expected, but I think if I'd have gone with something more traditional I'd have been pleased. For locals, West Ave seems like a perfect weekend brunch spot.

Great place for breakfast on the weekends! Hubby loves the breakfast burrito and I'm a fan of the pancakes. It's always clean and doesn't have the typical diner smell. Two thumbs up!

love it! great breakfast

One of those places that you don't notice initially but when you finally decide to try it you are glad that you did. Mostly I've gone for breakfast but I'm interested to get lunch sometime. Definitely my go to place lately.

I don't know why we never tried this place before. I went here with my fiance and his friend right beforeb we left for a road trip out west. It was delicious! I got a wrap and the boys both got breakfast since it's served all day. It was packed but or food came out pretty fast, nice service, and definitely popular. My fiance and I are sure to be back!

3.5 stars. Stopped in for dinner last night and had the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and green beans. Although their marsala was a bit different (the chicken had more of a glaze than a sauce/gravy), it tasted fine. The potatoes were a little bland, but I liked that everything was freshly prepared and nicely cooked. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Looking forward to checking out the breakfast fare (that french toast mentioned in some of the other reviews sounds quite yummy).

Terrible food, terrible service, terrible atmosphere. I tried again and again. I will no longer go back to any of their locations. They used to be good, but something changed. There is no love in this place.

Tasty food and a nice place to bring the family. I have been here for breakfast and dinner and I can say that neither disappointed me. The wait-staff was attentive and very communicative; I felt they really wanted to add to our dining experience and the kids loved it too. Great prices and great food. My wife had the fried chicken and she loved it.

nice place.. super clean and very nice staff, the owner comes by to see how everyone is and if they like their order. The waffle fries are amazing.. seasoned goodness.. yummmm Chocolate chip pankacke is more like chocolate center filled pancake.. im not complaining : )

I've eaten at West Ave Grille several times & it's always very good! The staff is friendly, service is good, food is good, it's clean.

Food= Okay, Service = Okay. if you want more attentive experience then don't bother visiting during the weekend rush hours. Also doesn't help when you have one men and one women's bathroom to use during the rush. Food does take a while to come out. We had to ask for coffee and water refills. It could have been because of the rush, but based on the consensus we didn't think it was worth the wait at the end.

Love it here. Food and service is always great. Just wish they were open for dinner again!

New ownership is doing a great job. Always a friendly staff with great breakfast food.

Went for breakfast. Ordered two eggs scrapple and toast. I also had coffee. My bill came to under $10. The cost is comparable to a IHOP. And I think the food is pretty close at least for what I order. West Ave., Grill serves a multigrain toast which is good. the quality of the scrapple was okay, but it was served crunchy like I like it. The potatoes are served as hashbrowns which are usually really good. I would give it five stars but the coffee cups and silverware usually need replacing.. The waitstaff needs to check and wipe off the silverware and cups before serving or placing on tables.

I've been going to the original W.A.G. for years. This outpost is located alongside several miles of office park. Luckily, on my Good Friday visit, there were mostly grandparents and grandkids. Made me miss my own. However, the acoustics of the restaurant are so bad, that even normal restaurant level volume was kicked up. I want to thank the business guy on one side of me (tables are packed like sardines, just like Jenkintown location) who insisted on speaking above the din and never "shut his yap" and sped talked my entire meal. I held up a decibelmeter at him to try to get him to shut up. Turns out, he and the restaurant were both at an 82-83. Not so bad, but the annoyance level was higher. I got the whitefish salad and bagel platter. Jewish soul food. Side of bacon, not so much. The bagel was over-sized and excellent. I had enough whitefish to order another bagel to eat for breakfast the next day. Yeah, it was a little expensive for basically 2 bagels, some whitefish salad and tiny breakfast bar cups of Philadelphia cream cheese, but I liked it. Service was good. They need to fix the inside door of the restaurant. If people didn't close it gently, it would slam, adding to the cacophony.

Stopped in for lunch in spur of the moment. Ordered BLT with ff. staff very friendly food ok. BLT had bacon that wasn't cooked all the way. Perhaps I should have asked for crisp bacon. I thought it was expensive $10.20 for BLT with 6 waffle fries. I was only party in dining room for about twenty minutes but is filling up as it gets closer to noon. Does seem to do a busy delivery service. May try again in future

Tried this place for lunch. Very crowded, cramped and loud. Liked the place, it was open layout and had a friendly but loud crowd. If you get there at the wrong time, you might have a long wait for a table. Looking around the room, everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals - mostly large interesting sandwiches. They have an amazing menu selections for lunch and sandwiches. They were out of two things we initially selected but we enjoyed what we ended up ordering. We really enjoyed ours - Salmon/avocado and turkey/avocado/bacon sandwiches. Service was not very good. Took longer than expected for lunch - food took quite a while to get to table. Never really saw the server except to take our order and someone else delivered our food. Had combination of really delicious selections and healthy choices - salads, breads, etc. Not the cheapest for lunch and sandwiches but a really good sandwich is worth it. It looked like they had some pretty good soups as well. Can't wait to try it again. Not open on Mondays.

My stomach was excited about having breakfast this morning. Create my own omelette with asparagus, and feta cheese, hash browns, and an English muffin, however my food arrived to the table lukewarm - a turnoff. The server came to the table to check on things with my party and I informed her that everything on my plate was not hot. Well it began with let me heat it up for you. Five minutes later, my food is back at the table with my omelette warmed up, hash browns and English muffin both cold and the server says is everything okay. You're omelette was warmed up. Really! I don't want it at all. I'm not sure if there is a problem with understanding the words that came out of my mouth initially "everything on my plate is cold." This was my first time here and I won't come back here again.

In regards to food, the breakfast menu here is fairly good. I would give it a 3.5 or 4.0. They had pumpkin pancakes for a short period of time and that was delicious. I usually only go for breakfast. I feel like the entrees are a bit overpriced for its quality. Zake's Cafe is a smidgen cheaper but definitely better. But this isn't about Zake's. I was debating b/w giving West Ave Grille in Dresher a 2-star or 3-star. I decided to be generous. In regards to reading the other three reviews, I was confused. They all mentioned friendly and attentive staff. ?!?!?! Who is attentive here? I've been to this place like seven or eight times and every time I absolutely hate the service. I don't think I require a lot - but I really, really hate the service here. Yes, I used the word hate. Every time I get my breakfast - kansas city skillet (awesome!) - I always have to hunt them down to get ketchup. They usually have runners serve the food and go away immediately without asking if we need anything else. If I want a refill for my coffee or water, it's always me looking for them rather than them checking if I need anything else. The servers are always talking by the grill and don't pay attention. The girl at the front is on her cell phone - probably texting. One time they forgot to bring me the ketchup so I walked up to the grill and just took it. No - but, really - I don't understand the other three reviews. How did they receive friendly, attentive staff? Maybe they size people up to see if they'll be good tippers. I think I tip well. Breakfast, Lunch or dinner - 20%. So seriously, where are the attentive servers? Rather than hiring young local teenage girls who would rather socialize with other waiters - they should get some legit servers.

T and I went to West Ave Grille after, yet another, long day of house hunting. I had the grilled cheese and french fries. T had the crispy chicken salad. My grilled cheese was crunchy on the outside, melty on the inside. And fries are always good, no matter what. :) The chicken on the crispy chicken salad was delish. Service was good and the place was cute. I'd like to go back and try some dishes that are a little more challenging to get a better read on the place. I understand breakfast is good and that's my favorite kind of test.

I have been coming here since it opened. I also frequent their location in Jenkintown. Up until last week, I had only been coming for breakfast but after a late tennis match decided to try dinner. It was a really pleasant surprise. So much so that I decided to give them a review after years of eating there. The food was great. I suppose one shouldn't assume to know a restaurant for dinner when they only go for breakfast! I would give them 5 stars but my 1 gripe is that I wish the perimeter tables (or better yet, booths) were turned 90 degrees. I really dislike 1 party having to look at a wall when having a meal. Interestingly, the Jenkntown location has the tables turned the right way. Otherwise, it has always been good food and service and I hope it stays that way.

I have nothing but good things to say about West Ave Grill Too....There was three of us for Brunch....The omelets were good, the toast, bagel and home fries were good, and the scrapple was the best I've had in I don't know how long!!!....It was solidly crisp on the outside and soft and and tasty on the inside....all of the ingredients were fresh and my milk was ice cold!!!....the service was attentive and charming....the best complement we can pay is, we will be going back....

Food was good, but a little cramped the way they have all the tabled in there... Waitress can barely mover around...

Went twice and had one good and one bad experience. First time, good food and very friendly and accommodating (came with 2 small children) service. The second time, the food was still solid but the service was lacking. Our food sat in the window for at least 5 minutes (open kitchen) before the server returned from somewhere in the back and brought me my lukewarm burger and fries. Had to wait another 5 minutes for the kids grilled cheese. No explanation or apology for why it takes longer to make a grilled cheese than it does a burger (I'm a chef so I know that it shouldn't as should anyone who has made both of those sandwiches.) Server again was nowhere to be found when we needed our check (kids were getting antsy and my wife was nearing the end of her lunch break) so I asked another server to get it for us which I could tell annoyed our server. It's lunch time, people need to eat and go. You know this. Don't get annoyed after you disappear a couple of times and we need to pay and go. I know I sound impatient, but if there was the least amount of concern from our server, all would have been fine, but she was so indifferent to us. Not to mention, we went at the end of the lunch rush, and the dining room was clearing out. Just a little love would have went a long way. I'll go back. Hopefully I won't get Molly again.

I've had a few great experiences and one mediocre, so I'm going with the higher rating. Some of the menu items are great. Burgers, veggie burger wrap, salads are terrific. Sweet potato fries come out hot and crispy. However, I once ordered the Eggs Florentine (basically Eggs Benedict with sauteed spinach instead of Canadian bacon.) The spinach was gritty, the eggs were ice cold, and the hollandaise sauce was tasteless and gloppy. However, that was my only disappointing menu choice so I'll let it slide. The staff is friendly, usually pretty attentive. All in all, a good casual neighborhood place to get a tasty meal.

Super friendly staff that remember you after only one or two visits. The establishment is always clean although it can be be bit cramped with so many tables in a small space. The food I have ordered has always had a slightly original slant with a fabulous flavor. From apps to desserts I have yet to be disappointed and the BYOB deal is the best !

The West Ave Grille is located in a strip of stores in the Dreshertown Shopping Plaza off of Limekiln Pike. The restaurant has an open floor plan and the kitchen is also open. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived but we were seated right as we walked in. Our server came over quickly and took our drink and food orders. ***THIRTY*** minutes later our eggs and pancakes came out. The eggs were cooked as I ordered and the home fries were good. The pancakes were large but lacked any flavor what so ever. If you want syrup its an extra charge. Its not a big deal but it just bothered me. The food overall was average and was NOT worth the wait. I realize that long wait may not be the norm. With so many other breakfast options in the area I don't plan on returning for another visit.

Just as good as the WAGIII in Southampton, which was the first one I went to. Great food selections, casual environment, reasonable prices. A much desired alternative to the work cafeteria fare when I can get out. French toast is a monster! I recommend it for any meal.
