Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Best shrimp and broccoli I have ever eaten! Had to order take-out because we had the puppy with us, but was absolute amazing!

Had to drop a star. Not sure if there is a new chef but the last two times we ordered, the quality has taken a hit. General Tso, my favorite, has been bad. Now, that being said, the sesame chicken that we ordered was good. How the quality of two similar dishes can be so different, twice, can't be coincidence. So the reason why they keep 3 stars is because of the sesame chicken. Pork Lo Mien still above average, shrimp in lobster sauce is ok. People who answer the phone, need a lesson in pleasantry.

Something has slipped at Chin's, I'm afraid. And D-town has precious few Chinese places any more, so we are still using Chin's as our go-to take out spot. The pepper steak with onions was mostly onions and peppers with very little (gristly) steak and drowning in salty brown sauce. Nope. The hot & sour soup was not very hot, but quite sour (like 2% acetic acid sour). Nope. Thankfully the Shrimp with Snow peas was excellent (5 shrimp in a small order) and out 9 year old devoured the sesame (deep fried white meat chunks of) chicken. Fried pork dumplings are doughy but satisfying. Classic Chinese take-out (The eat-in dining room is rather dark) but they need to up their game. Please!!! We need you!

This place is fine. Doylestown is a little short on Chinese food. This one is decent. But only decent. Seems a little bland compared to my favorite Chinese restaurants. I wish they delivered.

Best Chinese food in Doylestown/ New Hope/ Warrington(basically within a 20 minute drive from Doylestown... Notice I did not say say best Chinese food ever, but I give 4 stars because it is what it is... Good Chinese, not gourmet, but clean and reputable.. The staff is friendly. They have some American kids answering the phones... the other reason they get 4 stars.. this is a great idea!!! It is easy to order to-go!! I actually like the food much better than Ooka down the street!!! Easy, fast, courteous, tasty, and affordable!!! Just what I look for in Chinese take-out.. Oh last thing. try the Grand Mariner shrimp .. omg.. heavy, rich, but delish!!

Solid suburb Chinese food. Quality above par for these type of joints but pick up orders consistently take longer than promised, as others have noted - so plan accordingly. Good option when the craving hits.

Food is good ..... Service good...... $2.50 charge for a glass of ice...... "Priceless"!
(3)Jan D.
The take out orders are never correct and you lose money. It would be helpful if they go over it when you get there so you are sure before you go home. The flavor used to be better.

I love the food. But, if you get the young Chinese (son) who answers the phone then ask for someone else. He has messed up 3 orders for me and has no clue what he is doing. His Mom should put him in another role. If you call and complain they have no solution to your messed up order. Simply - SORRY.

I would have given them another star but the service either take out or dine in is simply atrocious...I just picked up and was told to pick up in 15 to 20 minutes. When I arrived 20 minutes later I was told it will be another 15 minutes. I really don't care if it takes 30-45 minutes to prepare my order but don't tell me 15-20 and then make me wait another 15 minutes when I arrive. As to the quality of the food. I have found that the Hunan beef and pork are good. The fried rice is not. The dumplings either steamed or fried are little doughy. In a nutshell the food is ok the service sucks; 2 stars.

If I had written a review two years ago it would have been very good. Now for eat in - very Bad. Service is unacceptable! Take out is ok, food has gone down hill a lot over past year too though. We now drive thirty minutes extra for a quality Chinese eat in meal. Service, service and quality have gone down we will probably not be back again this quarter. Maybe in six months or so when the internal staff changes over again will may try it. It's a petty the two other local "ones" closed when this place was going good , now they are the only game in town and it is what it is "Meh".

Welcome, my friends to the land of the bizarre. Here, I present to you, if you think you can handle it, an Americanized Chinese food restaurant where the meat tastes like it came from a once living animal! That's right, folks! Step right up! Put one of these morsels of delicious General Tso's chicken in your mouth. Feel the guilty pleasure of saturated fat enter your body and I challenge YOU to tell me that this does not taste like meat! Seriously though, I've become so bitter about Chinese food that I pretty much expect the inside of every fried piece of General Tso's to be filled with a rubbery, white, gelatinous mixture of something unholy. Thank heavens that I have Chin's keeping it real.

Food is deserving of 3.5 stars. Service is deserving of zero. I've had really good food at Chin's. Specifically, the General Tsos Chicken, the orange chicken, the soups (wonton egg drop!) and the steamed pork buns. All very much yum. I once however, struck out horribly with the "Hunan Duck" which was absolutely horrendous. Here's a tip -- stick to food that the kitchen can't possibly mess up. Although the food may be good, it's extremely overpriced and not worth at all what they're charging. Ok, now for the service. The staff is basically entirely made of up of kids age 16 to 19 who quite obviously have never worked in hospitality/service before. I had to go up to the counter to ask for extra utensils last time I was here, and I was uncomfortable to do so because BOTH girls behind the counter were just texting away on their iPhones. The waiters barely say anything, don't make eye contact, don't check up on their tables. It seems their goal is to serve the food and collect their tip with as little effort as possible. Get take-out if you're feeling spendy, cause the food is pretty good, otherwise head elsewhere.

good, local Chinese food. busy takeout too

We only order take out, so I can't speak to the service. From a food quality perspective, we were very happy to discover a really good Chinese place in the Doylestown vicinity, after being disappointed by China Sun near us in Dublin. Since we discovered Chin's Kitchen we've ordered take out at least a few times a month. Wife and I both love the fried wontons. She usually gets the beef or chicken and broccoli. I like the General Tso's. I did find their sweet and sour sauce to be a bit of a disappointment---too bland and watery (though still much better than the red colored water that was used at China Sun). Other than that, we've enjoyed pretty much everything we ordered here. I wish they delivered--I miss having an actual option for Chinese delivery food. If any of the Doylestown area Chinese places started delivering they'd probably make a killing. Haven't found anything else yet in the Doylestown area that even comes close to this place. Not sure how much that speaks to the actual quality of Chin's vs. the dearth of excellent Chinese food options in suburban Bucks County!

Have only ever done takeout. Glad we discovered this place, have tried a variety of menu items ranging from noodle dishes, to curry dishes, and so on Everything has tasted wonderful, and the staff was friendly. I thought the prices were fair as well. Will return!!

Best American Chinese restaurant in the area. The general toss chicken is white meat which my wife loves. Quality of the good seems a touch above the average Chinese take out spot. The dine in decor is also hipper than a regular Chinese restaurant. The food is flavor and special requests are taken. Teriyaki beef sticks are good. Lomein is spot on and the chicken with garlic sauce is flavorful. The dumplings are good and the dumpling sauce is tasty. Skip the pad thai.
(4)Jackie T.
The pork fried rice was dry. The sweet and sour chicken and shrimp lo mein were both just ok or slightly below average. Chin's is one of the better options for Chinese in Doylestown but that's only because there aren't any good places in the area for Chinese (except Chalfont).

We really need another Chinese restaurant in Doylestown. Food here is so mediocre & so overpriced. Bland wonton soup!
(1)Emily W.
LOVE the food here. Can't think of another place better than Chin's. Dumplings, lo mien, soup, egg rolls, you name it, it is YUMMY.
(4)Frank S.
I have had lunch here about 5 or 6 times in the last few months. It is your typical Chinese fare & would probably give it 4 stars except for the service I received today. I typically eat lunch alone & spend my lunch hour reading the newspaper, wherever I eat I always request a booth so I have room to lay out the paper, read & eat. They always allowed me to have a booth prior to my visit today. Today I was seated by the owner (I assume), she put me at a very small table for 2. When I asked if I could have a booth (there were 3 or 4 empty booths) she stated she needs to save them in case some parties of 4 come in. Imagine that, customers that have not come in are more important than customers that are already there. I ordered & ate at the tiny table with my paper falling off the edges & getting in the way of me eating. I was cramped & did not enjoy my lunch break today. When I was finished eating and there were 4 empty booths still waiting for parties of 4, my server came over & stated "my boss wanted me to apologize for the seating mix up, she thought it would be busier today." The owner also apologized when I paid my bill. As I told her, "There are plenty of other restaurants in Doylestown that will seat me in a booth." And that's where I'll be eating next time. If there are any restaurant owners reading this, for me my lunch time accommodations are as important as the food I eat. I feel that if a customer specifically requests a certain seating arrangement the restaurant should make every effort to accommodate that customer if possible.

Terrible. Sweet and sour chicken was fried chicken strips and a small saucer of dipping sauce. Not even KFC quality. Not even close to the dish ordered. Told the waitress, she told the owner....his answer, we don't serve pineapple here. Really? That's it? Go to any other Chinese restaurant in the area or get a frozen dinner at giant and cook it yourself. This place is one and done. I may drop off a recipe and a picture of what the dish should look like. Maybe some pineapple too.

i only ate a little as i had to leave, but sat with three others. we were greeted and seated right away. service was prompt and they were attentive the while i was there. not unlike burger king, special orders do not upset them. i had to go - but i'll be back. portions big enough that there were leftovers in the fridge when i got home.
(4)Matt G.
All i have to say is that you have to try this place. The food here is good and some of the other reviews dont really do it justice. I recommend their steamed dumplings, as well as the chicken and brocolli dish.
(5)Corey F.
BYOB! Other than that, I love the General Tso's bean curd (tofu). Delicious sauce, texture... The mixed vegetables and spring rolls are also easy to chow down on. I prefer take-out from this establishment, as my brain can not comfortably accept having american hippie teenagers as my server for yummy Chinese food.

We were excited to see this place open in our neighborhood. Their food has been good, not great but far better than the competitors in the area. We have only gotten take out there, so we can't speak to the sit down restaurant portion although it is a rather small place, informal for sure. Menu is large which is nice. Our biggest issue has been the time given us to pick up our order. On two separate occasions we have been told it would be 30 minutes only to arrive and wait 15-30 minutes for our order. The curry beef was good and so was chicken fried rice. Garlic chicken and curry beef had a lot of onions, which made it look like it was a full portion but contained far less meat than typical dishes. I would go back to chins, I wish they would address the issues outlined here to make a better experience in general
(2)Steve B.
Chin's is the best place for Chinese in the area. The shrimp pad thai, sesame beef, kung pao chicken, and lo mien are all standouts. It's BYOB and we usually do take out, but the dining room is cozy and the service is friendly.
(4)Dee O.
Very decent food! Not overly salty or garlicky like other Chinese restaurants. It's the only place we will get Chinese food in the Doylestown area.
(4)Laura W.
Best Chinese food in Doylestown...Owner is great...love the sesame chicken and orange flavored beef....great lunch menu!!
(5)M H.
Def not better than 3 stars. I eat more chinese than anyone could possibly fathom. This place is average at best. I say 3 stars because it will do the trick if you are craving some chinese and your in the area; but, I recommend you go down 611 or 263 to Mings or China Garden Inn.

YUCK!!!!!

Chin's has awesome chinese food. They do a nice job at fresh, good, hot food, good portions and fast service. I've dined both take out and eat in and have never been disappointed. I was hoping Doylestown would get a new chinese restaurant in - since Hong Kong Jacks was the only one open. I'm really hoping for a delivery service soon... hint hint!
