Whenever I'm in the area and hungry, I make sure I stop by. Beaver Creek Tavern has a very good selection of beers. One of my pet peeves are bars without HD TVs showing sports so BCT has HD TVs with HD feeds. The burgers and wings were delicious and the place is family friendly so my children have a decent meal.

Amazing beer selection - anything you want from your fundamental light beers to fancy craft beers that get switched out regularly so that you can refine your beer palate. Food portions are really big. Must trys: French onion soup (deliciously rich broth with generous cheese on top), cheesesteak eggrolls, chicken marsala, Philly cheesesteak (great cheese and roll), and homemade desserts (cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate cake). There's a dining room that's definitely family-oriented and a bar perfect for sports :)

I just moved to this area and was looking for a nice affordable place to eat. I entered the tavern and was immediately greeted and given the choice to eat on the porch, the dinning room, or the bar area. The bar was filled with a large group of people happily solving all the worlds problems with the help of a cheerful bartender. It was loud but we selected to eat in the bar. We ordered a chicken quesadilla as an appetizer. It was served quickly. We shared it and agreed we chose well. It was perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection. For entrees we ordered fish and chips, a grilled Rachel, and the jerked chicken and shrimp salad. All three meals were wonderful. The servings were generous. The standout meal was the jerked chicken and shrimp salad. Not only was the presentation excellent, the spice combination left me wondering how the chef was able to take such a standard dish and make it so complex with complimentary flavors. If you have not tried this tavern, you should. Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere I'm going to try eating on the porch next time.

Fun place! Loud bar area for trivia (good thing for the party atmosphere) . Dining room was quaint and cozy. The mac and cheese is magic. The burgers are big and filling. Portions are good for the price. Figure on spending $20 for a beer and a burger. They have good specials and happy hour deals. Now, for the best part. The service was impeccable! Our server, Mandy was on point, nice, and just awesome. I watched the other servers and bartender, and again, they were rocking it on a busy Thursday . I will be back with my friends asap. Party of 6, tons of fun, and never a need for service. Mandy took care of us very well. Also, the outdoor seating areas are great.

Love coming here after work on the weekends. Staff is great, very attentive and personable. Inside is a little small but always seems to accommodate all the guests comfortably. Nice patio in the evening hours makes their excellent beer selection even more enjoyable. No complaints about any of the menu items I've had, they're all great, which is most all the appetizers for me. The cheese steak eggrolls are awesome, and if you order the atomic wings, they really are that spicy!

I love this restaurant. I'm just sorry I didn't explore it sooner. I've been there at least 5 times now and will continue to go. The atmosphere is cozy, casual and very friendly. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Most of the offerings are scratch made - don't miss out on the desserts! All the fare we've tried were delicious: onion rings, Cajun chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, lobster ravioli, fish and chips, jerk chicken sandwich, Maryland crab soup, French onion soup, bison burger and meatloaf. 4/7/15: Since my original review I've tried more items on the menu worth telling you about: steamed duck dumplings (incredibly yummy), buffalo chicken pasta salad (surprising satisfying and delicious), carrot cake and strawberry cake. Check out their weekly schedule on their website. They have Texas Hold Em on Monday nights in the dining room. There were still tables available but it got a little cramped. If you're the kind of person that doesn't mind having a friendly chat with folks this is your kind of place. The patrons there are just as nice as those who work there.

We had a wonderful lunch outside on the porch. the waitress had a wonderful sense of humor. little wings were cooked just Wright not oily at all and full flavor. mistake on the salad was cooked exactly as requested and was excellent. and not only did the waitress get all minor changes to the dishes we ordered but she even recommended various things to change based on our tastes.

Cajun chicken here is juicy and delicious. Chicken fingers are a great take home. Burgers are excellent too, especially the one with jalapeño and the fried egg. Try it!

The Station Taproom was overfilled on a Friday night so we Yelped alternatives and found this hidden gem 10 minutes away. It seems rural but is about a mile from Rt 30 Bypass and is certainly worth the drive. The atmosphere in other reviews was already described well, a comfortable tavern/restaurant-but the food will have you returning. I had the Prime Rib special and my wife loved her overfilled chicken/shrimp salad. A dozen beers on tap (most are craft beers) and several HD flat screens for sports watching. The patrons were young couples, families with children and more mature couples all enjoying the food and atmosphere. The noise level in the bar was moderately loud (it's a bar!) but we had no problem having a conversation. The separate dining room was quieter and cozier. Both Robin, the hostess and Mandy our server were great at explaining the menu items and specials. Don't leave without sharing a dessert. We had the Carrot Cake (carrots are healthy!) which was huge and delicious. Give this place a try and I'm sure you'll be back.

Never had anything I didn't like. The wings are great, pulled pork sandwich is awesome and the hot ham and cheese on a pretzel bun is WOW!!! The Bartender makes a yummy chocolate martini too!!

A cozy warm place! My friend had eaten there before and remarked about the size of the portions (huge), so we decided to split a house salad and a meatloaf sandwich. Good decision! They were nice enough to put our portions in separate dishes for us, and we both had plenty to eat! The salad was fresh and more than the usual iceberg and crouton fare. The meatloaf was tasty and again, an ample portion even though we split it. It came with sweet potato fries and a sauce /aioli that was out of this world! Some notes about the set up of the restaurant.... When you first walk in you'll find a small dining room that looks friendly and a little formal. This leads to the bar which was more casual and probably one of the friendliest bars I've been to in a long time. We decided to eat at the bar, but there are several high top tables as well. Our bartender /server was so friendly and genuine. The other patrons at the bar were friendly and not creepy ...just happy to talk among themselves and anyone else that was there.

I had dinner here on a Saturday night in their dining room. The food was absolutely delicious -- I had their french onion soup, salmon, green beans, mashed potatoes, and carrot cake. My only complaint was that the dining room was very cramped/crowded which made for a very loud experience. I found myself yelling in conversation with the rest in my party. I will also mention that they do not offer bread with your meal as we had to request it. Overall, a very nice meal; however next time I will go on a weeknight vs. a weekend to see if the crowd is smaller.

Although this is called a Tavern, the food is better than most tavern fare. The casual, cozy, warm neighborhood feel of this restaurant set in the woods along the Beaver Creek is truly tavern-like, but be prepared for a bit more upscale gastronomic offerings. And don't pass up the bread pudding for dessert when it is offered - you'll regret it. Absolutely delicious! Superb service is just the cherry on top of the cake.

A cozy little tavern with good food. I have only been here for lunch, but each time the food and service were spot on. Great handmade battered onion rings and tasty crab cake sandwhiches. The service has always been friendly and attentive. I don't remember the girls name but she ran the bar as well as the lunch patrons....and very well I might add. If you're in the area and desire a nice lunch experience , stop here.

Delish and affordable! We always go to Beaver Creek on a casual night and sit at the bar! It had a cozy feeling and the food is always on point. My favorite is the Black and Blue salad. All the salads are great. My fiancé gets the Rachel almost every time.

This is a great local place--reasonable prices, nice beers on tap, friendly staff and decent food. The dining room is small but nicely decorated. The crusted salmon is a good choice for the price--but there are many other lower priced items to choose from if you want lighter fare. They were very accommodating of our "large" group, celebrating a birthday. Our waitress, Sheila, kindly took a group pic after dinner to memorialize the occasion. If you're looking for a low-key, affordable local establishment, you would be hard pressed to find better. We have returned several times and have not been disappointed. Good value. Our return after the above was good but our third visit, not so much. The salmon was undercooked, one portion so much so that it was cold and returned to the kitchen. Other items were overcooked and the delicious mashed potatoes with some entrees were substituted with overcooked red potatoes. Even the waitstaff was secondrate--must have been the "B" team, both in the kitchen and dining room because our experience could not have been more different from previous.

I go here with the family a lot and it is consistently good. The service is always friendly & attentive, although there are occasions when they appear under staffed (like for a Sunday afternoon Eagles game where the server is also called upon to act as bar tender). Sandwiches are always good and so are their entrees. Desserts are outstanding. Carrot cake and the homemade brownie a la mode especially. I do hope that they expand their beer menu to include some more artisan brews.

Rita's water ice daiquiri is awesome. Flavors change often. The French onion soup is awesome, salty, cheesy, bold. The Cajun chicken sandwich is tasty and the old bay fries are great.

Beaver Creek is a nice little spot in Thorndale. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. There is a nice front patio for dining oustside. The burgers are excellent as well as the Rueben. The wings are very good also. I was with a friend recently who is a big fan of meatloaf and he remarked that Beaver Creek's is up there with the best he has had.

Been there maybe 6 or 8 times. Nice outdoor seating on the porch, but if it's a busy time the traffic is a little noisy. There is also outdoor seating in the back of the building. Crab bisque is awesome. Service is fine.

Review is based on 1 dish which is the roast beef sandwich. I'm amazed how restaurants still manage to mess up a simple bar sandwich. The roll was too soft, beef tasteless and cut too thick. I give Don C. a pass since he is from VA. How would he know where a good cheesesteak is in Thorndale? The outside is nice, service was good, libation menu nice but based on this one simple sandwich I don't think I'll go back.
