I have been coming to this diner off and on since it was Zinn's. To this day the food I feel the food is still typical "diner" food and can be hit or miss. The chicken salad was tolerable but the cole slaw and the potato salad was very much "commercial" tasting. It was a total disappointment to my salad platter. I am still giving this diner 3 *'s due to the fact I had the best service at any diner, within the last 10 years by a waiter named,Don. He was very professional and friendly at the same time. I will return to the Park Place Diner and will call before I arrive,to be sure Don is on.

Service was good, place could be cleaner but it is busy! I had a very tasty prime rib but sadly I got very ill afterwards. I do not know if it was the food or just my metabolism, as I do not need much red meat these days.

My wife and I are now here for the second time this weekend. Spent our anniversary weekend in the Lancaster area and stumbled upon this wonderful diner. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is top notch. Exactly the way a diner should be. This place will most definitely be a stop for us each time we visit the area!

Adamstown area lacks good restaurants and this Diner is consistent. The food is fresh , service is good and friendly and priced accordingly. If you don't complicate your ordering it will be a nice experience at a good old amercan Diner. Perfect location if you are in the area to antique.

My wife and I ate here 2 years ago on our last trip to Adamstown, PA and the food was just as good today as it was then. They were slammed for breakfast and still our food came out ridiculously fast and delicious. Great service, great good. If you are in the area I strongly recommend this place

It's your typical diner with very reasonable prices, ample portions, and friendly service. The reuben burger was okay and came with a cup of soup of chicken noodle soup for only $7 (lunch special), and the ham and cabbage special was buttery with very tender cabbage, potatoes, and giant pieces of steamed carrots. The ham itself was thinly sliced and probably deli ham although it wasn't bad; it's just not the homemade slow-roasted ultra-tender ham. It came with a soup or salad, and I had the salad with a side of the honey mustard dressing. The salad was your typical iceberg, shredded carrots, tomatoes, onions, and cucumber slices but I really liked the creamy, sweet, and not overly tangy dressing. The reuben burger was very well-done and topped with a heap of sauerkraut and swiss, and served open-faced on toasted rye. I think that I would have preferred it without the sauerkraut. The thousand island was served on the side, and the sandwich came with a side of coleslaw (very very good!) and fries. The fries were pretty average although they were great dipping vehicles for the honey mustard. Service was very friendly and our coffee was refilled very frequently. Cornbread and rolls were also brought out, and the cornbread was a nice change from the ubiquitous dinner rolls. This is also the only diner in the area so it's not a bad option if you are antique-hunting in Adamstown. It's reasonably priced comfort food with friendly service and comfortable seating.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the Park Place Diner is the best place in the area to get breakfast. Every time I am in the area I stop here for my first cup of coffee and a big stack of banana pancakes. Service is fast, food is good, and everything was clean. I have never had lunch or dinner here, but for breakfast this place is where you want to be.

First class place in every way. Great staff. Great food. Coffee is average. Bathroom nice and clean but could use touchless fixtures. Will visit here again without hesitation.

My fiance, two munchkins and I have had dinner here two Fridays in a row. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu and the food here. I love diners. Jersey diners. Park Place is the first one I've been to in this part of Pennsylvania that could actually hold it's own against a Jersey diner. The portions are huge, depending on what you order. The service has been excellent. I'm not a fan of their fries though. They serve those weird Burger King-esque fries that have that coating stuff on them. I hate those. Real potatoes are cheaper and taste better than this type of fry. I have to note that Park Place had the best pickled beets I've had outside of Manhattan.

Took another tip from a local and hit up Park Place Diner for breakfast this foggy Sunday morning. After a short wait for a table, we were greeted by a perky young waitress who was able to disarm the four giddy 13 year old girls at our table. Had two eggs over easy with bacon and hash browns. This is always a good test of a diner's abilities. And Park Place passed. My daughter took the somewhat adventurous route and had the bacon bit pancakes, with thick chunks of bacon mixed in with the batter. Really good. For $14 plus tip for the two of us, well worth it.

There are very few dining establishments along this antique-filled road which we found extremely surprising. Two diners we ate at: Park Place and Dave's Diner, good experiences at both. Park Place was diner looking on the outside but inside it looks more like a nice restaurant. The service was great, everyone was friendly and everything we ate or drank was very good. We got the flounder Fricaise and we each received two large (had leftovers to take home) filets, nicely pan fried in crumbs with a sauce. Two sides came with the entree and a basket of fresh baked rolls and cornbread were provided. The coffee was wonderful and I am picky (I use a Keurig at home). We had dessert; who could pass that up, such wonderful choices in the glass case that you pass several times coming & going to the door or the restrooms, which are very clean. The dessert was fab. We are definitely fans and want to go back to try more menu items.

Average food, OK prices. Just your run of the mill diner!

Our family lives about 1 1/2 hours from the Park Place Diner but we try to make a point of stopping here when we head that way. The menu selection is great and the food is quite tasty. There's plenty of seating in the diner so we never have to wait for seating. Additionally, our meals are served hot and quickly.

Not many options in this area, but I decided to give this a try based on other reviews. Inside, it was bland, but a fair decor to eat in. The menu was expansive, but a bit difficult to navigate. Many options lacked variety, but were instead the same things presented differently. Additionally, the prices were a bit expensive. Until you receive the food. The portions are enormous (in a bad way), and any sandwich you order may or may not be open-face. The quality was average at best. Very greasy monte cristo, even for a monte cristo. The french fries were good though. Good, attentive service. Very quick and capable workers bussing tables. Overall, not somewhere I would go again, but it is a decent emergency solution if you are in the area.

I must be missing something. I live close to this diner, so I used to go there strictly for the convenience even if the food was mediocre at best. I finally got tired of wasting my money there. Even for diner food it's pretty bad. I had eggs benedict that they served with a Hollandaise sauce that I swear was chicken gravy. A Greek omelet was dry and tasteless. I've never had anything there that warrants 5 stars. Yes, the portions are huge. Is that supposed to make me feel better about the food being gross?

I like to have a nice hot breakfast at the beginning of my work day rather than the carboloaded fare in the free continental breakfast at hotel. I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Denver, PA and drove up PA 272 (North Reading Road) a bit to see what I could find. Park Place Diners fit the bill perfectly. It is attractive and clean. The wait staff is courteous and prompt. The background music is pleasant. I can get a nice omelette, bacon, toast and coffee, all for less than $10. I have stopped there three times already and I keep liking it more. I notice that I have a good deal of company there that evidently agrees with my assessment.

Well dh and I were again out and about at the antique mart up the street. Gave us a reason to go to lunch. Had to wait for a table this time. Only a few minutes. Waitress was attentive. The hostess not so. Go to the back and sit down? Well anyway we did get seated and then had the big decision. A sandwich platter or an entree. We both went with sandwiches and were offered the soup this time. I got cream of chicken which was great with lots of nice chicken shreds the dh got the vegetable beef. Lots of veggies in a tasty broth with cubes of beef. I ordered the French dip which came on garlic bread with FFs and cole slaw. The dip was good and the beef was good I just thought there could have been a bit more of it (the beef). Dh got a chicken cheddar bacon wrap which I tasted and thought was well balanced between the chicken cheese and bacon. No desert this time too full. Saw many other tasty looking items pass our table, with their large menu it may take us some time to work our way through it.

I've been here twice for dinner over the last couple weeks while we've been checking the nearby antique malls. Both times have been great, especially for a random diner we stumbled upon. The dinner specials had a great selection, and the desserts were fantastic both times. I'd say we definitely lucked out, and we'll be heading back to the Park Place Diner again when we need grub out in the Denver area.

We stopped in here an hour before closing after spending all day at the Ren Faire just expecting the basic diner food in a little nowhere town. What we got was a flavorful meal with a friendly server and flawless preparation. The baked eggplant side dish was amazing, portions generous, prices average but really quite good when you look at the portion size. I ordered the duck with rosemary and pineapple sauce kind of as a joke and thought it was really great. As diners go, I give this one the 5 star rating. Its only flaw is that it's right next to the Black Angus which was really great too.

We've been using the Park Place Diner as a meeting place, ever since our granddaughter was born, so that places it back 13 years, when is was still Zinn's. The sale in 2003, and follow up modernizing was a good upgrade. In our opinion, the place has maintained higher standards of cleanliness and attentive service since it became Park Place. It is a diner.... don't go there if you are a "foodie" expecting upscale food. Why would anyone do that? Evaluated as a "diner" (and we Jersey folks know diners) it is very good. Have never seen it dirty, always been treated very well by the staff.... very friendly. Latest visit featured eggs Benedict for Mrs. I and an open-face Reuben for me. Benedict was absolutely superb - correctly poached eggs, nice slice of Canadian bacon, perfect hollandaise. She proclaimed them the best she has ever had. My Reuben was satisfying. For the relatively low price (by NJ standards) for a sandwich, you get choice of soup, a small cup of slaw, correctly cooked fries and a nice pickle. Beverages are very reasonable, and kept full at all times.

I will preface this by saying I am a foodie so perhaps my standards are higher than most. I'm amazed at the four star rating of this place. I question the palate of the other reviewers. I can only assume it is mostly for breakfast which I cannot comment on. My companion and I had burgers. They were tasteless, obviously frozen and not cooked to our order. The (also) frozen french fries were good and hot and the highlight of the meal. You get a cup of soup with the burgers which is a nice perk. However, both went mostly uneaten. The "beef" vegetable didn't have any beef in it and had overly large chunks of vegetables including zucchini which was distasteful and overcooked pasta. I had the split pea which was passable but was ruined by some large very greasy croutons. There was no "love" in the food which is what you should be able to expect from a diner. Hand-packed burgers would have made all the difference in the world to the meal. The service was very good and friendly. We would not return.

A little torn, here. Want to give them 5 stars, but... The good: overall, very good food and a great value, with friendly staff. I had a Tuscan Lemon Chicken platter that was legitimately kick-ass. The bad: corn bread was more like yellow cake, really not what I expected in this fairly rural area. Guess not all country folk are good at corn bread. The ugly: Flies. Not a plague or even a swarm, but enough to be gross. Gotta fix this. I don't see house flies in very many restaurants (or in my home), so this is a concern in my book.

The best part about this place is that it's open on Sundays in an area where most things are not. The food is mediocre, the decor is beyond dated, and a few years ago they removed the GIANT statue of an Amish man. Why would you remove Zin?!

Love this place. My wife and I strolled up to this place while visiting all of the Antique shops in the area. Service was awesome !!! The staff was very attentive and fun to work with. They made the whole thing even better. The food was excellent and the prices were great. Portions were perfect even a little on the large size. will always eat here when i am in the area. I would make sure you have time to wait .. both times we went the lines were long to get inside.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to New England for a short weekend getaway. Service was good, food was tasty & prices were reasonable. It's a diner & from our one experience - does diner pretty well. It's not fine dining, but, tasty comfort food.

This was the best experience of my life, waaaay better than the old Zin's Diner! I'd give it 5 stars for the excellent food and atmosphere, like a high class Restraunt, with nice diner food

This place is always pretty busy but I just don't get it. We used to eat here from time to time back when it was Zinn's and I'm told the band 'Yes' used to stop every time they came through but this place ain't that place. Since it became Park Place, I've stopped every so often - usually when I've forgotten how much I didn't enjoy my previous visit. Last time was exactly that: the last time. The food is bland, the waitstaff is apathetic at best and it's not even all that cheap. If you want to see the exact same menu done edibly, I'd suggest the West Reading Diner instead. If that's too far to drive, Dave's Diner in Adamstown blows the doors off this nasty, geriatric mess.

It has been quite a while since I frequented this restaurant. In the early 2000's I used to go there for breakfast quite often when it was Zinn's. I loved their scrapple and Red Velvet cake. I do not know if it is still the same, but what I ordered was fantastic back then. I even bought their Red Velvet cake to take home. They also had good bean soup. If I ever get up that way again, I plan on giving it a visit to see if it still measures up.

It was under rennovation and closed, as of early June 2015. I really wanted to check this place out, but too bad we couldn't. Sometimes Yelp business days ad hours are not updated to the very latest info. Good learning for myself too.

September. Sleepy day after Labor Day. I pull up and I see a ton of non- dining outdoor seating that is landscaped with flower boxes. How cute! First sign of how good its going to be. Greeted as I walked in and i hear old time, pleasant dining music. Charming! My breakfast was fantastic. All the normal stuff. Except the sausage tasted local and homemade. The eggs tasted right off the farm. So i decided to take the daily special of stuffed peppers home for dinner. Great, personalized service. Takeout was packaged well. To my surprise at dinner 6 hours later the stuffed peppers were huge and i got 3 meals from it. And, the mashed potatoes tasted like my grandmothers homemade ones I will stop here every time I visit my sister.

Stopped here on the way back from Hershey Park with the fam for a quick bite. Omelets were delicious and generously sized. Home fries were crispy. Gyro was chock full of meat and was tender and tasty. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely stop here again if I'm in the area!

Incredible. Good prices. Friendly service. Large portions. Lots of food. Tasty, too. Nice dining area. Booth table was a bit small -- food for three of us overfilled the table. What else can I say? Will definitely come back when in the area again.

Gave it TWO chances and both were bad visits! First clue should have been the huge menu, no way all that stuff can be fresh! I ordered the French dip, friends got a BBQ sandwich, and a burger. Vegetable beef soup was all veggies, no beef. But not bad. French dip was a joke. Dry blob of meat on a stale bun. Within 15 minutes of leaving BAD stomach cramps were had by all! Second visit a few days later, I thought I would give it a try for breakfast. Can't screw that up, right? Wrong!!! Biscuits and Gravy were not even edible. I told the waitress, she was apologetic but I still paid for them. Not one offer to remove them from the bill. Paid, left and vowed never to return.

My wife and I met another couple here for dinner. The meal was tasty and the portions were well sized. We didn't have room for dessert. The waitress was attentive, but pretty much left us to ourselves to talk (which we did for about 2 hours) The only minor drawbacks were that: 1) the background music, though pleasant enough, was a bit loud and 2) we seemed to be right in the flow of the air conditioner. The temperature was fine, but it was distracting when we felt each time the blower turned on. Overall, however we had a very nice experience and would probably go back.
