Highly recommend this place. I always go when visiting my folks. Never eaten a bad meal here. Tacos come on a fried shell! Crab Fries, these aren't that BS you get from that crap chain place that is now in downtown atown, these fries come with REAL crabmeat, AMAZING!!! From sandwiches to meals, this place has gotten it right. 4 stars is a great rating from me. Why didn't they get 5 then? Need to update the place. I believe their working on it, but its time for new flooring, tables, and while were at it update the bar.

Not a place for a "meal". Been there numerous times, hoping "things" would improve, sadly they didn't. Authentic Ethnic foods are no where near "authentic ethnic food" . Made menu substitution without asking first, felt complied to accept. Personally I don't think the kitchen staff has a good concept preparing a dinner. Stay away from the clams ... Dirty and sandy. Maybe after a few drinks the food might be good

Ok so I am beginning to change my mind about this place . Beginning with a pro, Saturday and Sunday they deliver breakfast in the area I almost don't want anyone to know because that's the other thing! Delivery is soooooooo slow :( that's any time of day you order . Be prepared to wait an hour and a half at least !

Awesome food. We love to get delivery. The burgers are my favorite. The staff is very friendly! I have never had anything I didn't like. The wings are always amazing. I had stuffed mushrooms last night and there was so much crab in them! Definitely my go to restaurant.

This place is my go-to place! From the food, to the service, to the clientel, I have nothing but good things to say about Owens! Prices are great, food is excellent, portions are huge! I'd say this place is a throw-back to a different time, when value, quality and warmth were more important qualities than they seem to be now. I am there weekly, if not more so. You cannot go wrong with any item on the extensive menu. By all means, give it a try, whether for burgers and beers, or a family dinner in the dining room. It is well worth it!

Get delivery often. The wings are the best in town. Their burgers are very large and tasty. Their wraps are great, especially the crispy Chicken Buffalo Wrap. I tried the fried pickles, afraid at first because I never even heard of them, but they were good! The Chicken Cheesesteak was the first one that was juicy, but not dripping wet when it got delivered. My number one place for delivery when we don't have time to cook.

I've been frequenting Samuel Owens fairly often within the past year or so. The food that I have is always good. Their burgers are great, their wings are even better. In time, I have sat both in the bar area as well as the dining room. Both are enjoyable experiences, the waitresses could be a little friendlier and it'd be nice for a hostess to greet you upon arrival so you don't have to stand at the entrance to feel watched by everyone until you get seated.

The inside apperance reminds me of my grandmas. Paintings Hung all around with out door scenery (birds,deer, cabins,woods, etc.) Pretty lame. But I always go back. Who ever is in the back cooking the food def knows what there doing. Fantastic cook! Makes a really good cheese sauce that I like to add to my order of frys. Really really really good lobster cakes and stuffed baked potatoes. This place is great because they also serve breakfast annnnd do delivery. I choose Sam Owens the majority of the time when I just don't feel like making dinner. This is one of the few places everyone in my family actually enjoys the food with no complaints. If you can get your hands on one of the calenders they offer, they do all you can eat nights. Ex. All you can eat sliders or AYCE wings. The wings are crazzzy good. I dont actually go in there to much but I get delivery a lot.

I was encouraged by the positive reviews and I'm always up for supporting local eateries, but I'm sorry I can't recommend this place. Though in a very cool, old Victorian, the inside has been given the local 80s treatment. Needs serious updating. Especially the filthy carpeting (wood floors anyone?) which looks as if it is from the 1980s too. They advertise their "oyster" night and my husband and I were looking forward to it. The "oysters on the half shell" that we were served were....yes it's true....obviously bulk shucked oysters placed on old shells. They were served without lemon or vinegar, but with a thick unappetizing "ketchupy" sauce. These were NOT freshly shucked oysters. Yuk! The lobster sandwiches were so so. Nothing I would seek out. The best part of the meal were the homemade chips and the IPA drafts served in pint glasses. A glass of chardonnay, though was served in an outmoded, tiny glass. Not questioning the amount (prices were very reasonable) but the glass DOES matter. The wait staff was pleasant and the food came out in a reasonable time.
