My wife is obsessed with these wings!! You gotta ask for them well done and then it's really good. I'm not a huge wing guy but even I admit they're delicious. Nice and firm, not mushy and just the right amount of sauce. This is a cool spot for take out as everything is made in house. Perfect Italian joint!

There's an old school Italian grandmother rolling in her grave every time someone calls this "Italian Food". Ordered the Family Pack. Meatballs could have used a little more sauce and the garlic bread could have been toasted. One could say this Family Pack has the potential of tearing the family apart - internally...

The meatballs were bland and tasted as if they were reheated from frozen. The pasta was overcooked and mushy. Not true Italian cuisine.

Called this place to cater a private event we we're hosting. Can't say enough good things about it. We've had it several times before and it as always as good as I remember. Excellent chicken parm, sausage and peppers, penne alla vodka and Caesar salad. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

This is a great little Italian shop located about a 1/4 mile away from my job. Every time I wanted to go in here it has always been packed with customers picking up orders, or orders being put in with a line that you wouldn't believe. The lunch rush is crazy , so this tells you theses guys know what they are doing and my patience growing thinner with every passing day, I was not going to go to Primo's today . I finally got to experience a T'Dori sandwich, seeing I had left my house earlier with this place in mind with nothing to stop me. Good call on my part I felt because I had just missed the lunch rush , and now theses guys were getting ready for their dinner rush . Their menu looks unbelievably good with all these dishes they make so I know I will be looking forward to more meals to come. After about 5 minutes of just salivating thinking should I go with a Veal parm dish, a Chicken parm dish, or go with one of their great sandwich's i keep on hearing about. I went with one of their best sellers called " The South Philly" this hoagie was ..Amazingly Ginormous! The roll they used was excellent, this wasn't an Amoroso roll either, just flat out good. This COLOSSAL hoagie was filled with .. ready... prosciutto, salami sharp provolone, another ham, roasted peppers, with oil and balsamic vinegar all for $ 7.00. I couldn't finish this work of art in one sitting, I had to eat half take a break and come back to it later. Eating a well packed sandwich like this you have to think of it as a marathon, not a race to finish quickly. Make sure you have plenty of napkins on standby when eating one of their hoagies, because you will need it with all the juices from the peppers that collide with marinated onions , the oil and balsamic.. the fresh tomatoes mixed in there. It is a great meal when you're still eating while licking your fingers at the same time. This again is a great deli, great group of guys back there making your meals, friendly staff to add. They also have dishes you can purchase to go , so when you get home throw that plate of deliciousness in the oven , get your wine ready, have a movie ready to go and enjoy. What makes this even better for me I don't have to fight a line anymore, or worry about the time with their delivery service they offer. What can be better than that, I can say good bye to the other spot a few doors up with their over priced sandwich's **cough Primo's cough ** In all great spot, with a great crew behind the counter.

I order from tdori about once a week. The honey mustard chicken salad is great. The hoagies and packed. The family meals hit the spot. I've been eating here for about 20 years. It's my go to place to eat.

Tried T'Dori for the first time yesterday (after driving by a million times), and thought it was great. It's a takeout spot, so you have to call in your order and pick it up. I called and they were very friendly on the phone, and were again friendly when I picked up my food. I ordered a turkey hoagie and my wife got the asian salad. They quoted us 10 minutes, and when I arrived our food was ready to go. I couldn't believe how quick the whole process was. The asian salad was very good (it reminded me of the one at Salad Works), with fresh lettuce and nice, warm chicken on top. The dressing was addictive, too. My hoagie was tasty. The bread was fresh and crisp, as were the lettuce/tomato/red onion, and I loved that their hot peppers have a little heat to them. Next time, I will try the Italian hoagie. The menu is massive, so I'm sure you will be able to find something you like. I'd like to try one of the Italian specialties the next time I come here. Recommend.

Had T'Dori cater a surprise party. They did an excellent job in delivery and set up. The food was tasty, of good quality and had great presentation. T'Dori has excellent catering pricing and everyone raved about the food. There was food for meat lovers and vegetarians. Thank you T'Dori!

I really wanted to love T'dori. The concept is great, my friends and family all love it, and let's face it-there's not much else going on in Conshy. But I just couldn't. I feel like a lot of people that are fans of T'dori mistake large portions for good food. While T'dori does give you a lot of food, it just isn't anything special. I got some chicken dish (the name of which I cannot recall) that was floating around in some chicken broth type liquid, yes still managed to be dry. And for the amount of money they charge, the portion sizes better be generous! I did quite like their gravy (sauce to the non-Italians)...but maybe I was just desperate to like something after spending $75 on 4 meals. In all fairness, their cookies were delicious.

If you need a quick lunch, the menu is massive and you should find something you like. I love their wrap lunch combo but they are usually extremely messy. What's even better about the wraps, you get your choice of French fries or chips. Wraps are just OK- that's all I've explored because they are satisfying and relatively inexpensive.

We had a lunch meeting at work today so we ordered 7 or 8 sandwiches from this place and I was very glad we did. I had a Reuben which was excellent. It came with sweet potato fries which were awesome. The sandwich with fries was $7. Good value, good food and it was big. I didn't even need dinner tonight. Coworker had a chicken sandwich that looked and smelled great. I'll be back soon.

Although I've had a couple of good salads from this place, my order earlier this week was a disaster. The fries were soggy, like mush, and the veggie parm sandwich was missing the cheese. Doh!

I moved into town recently and have turned to Yelp for help finding good food. For the most part, it's been great. This time, not so much. Have any of these reviewers actually had good Italian food before? I think not if this is what's being called "very good." I would have rather eaten at the Macaroni Grill. I think I'd even rather have eaten at the Olive Garden. At least I would have gotten good bread sticks and salad that way. I went in and ordered the Chicken Piccata. It's a fairly safe dish normally but just complex enough to tell if a place is legit. It came with a side salad (got balsamic vinaigrette) and pasta (got angel hair). I ordered the dinner portion so I'd have enough to share with my fiance. Strike 1: the order had to be given to the cooks in Spanish because neither spoke English. You know it's never a good sign when you go for one type of ethnic food and the wrong one is making it. So I get my food (took a few mins, long enough to tell me that they made it fresh), bring it home, and open it up. The salad is a pile of iceberg lettuce with a tomato and a piece of carrot on it with your choice of quite obviously cheap bottled dressing on the side. In most cases, with a dish like chicken piccata, the pasta is served on the same plate since there is a little bit of excess sauce that goes well on the pasta. In this case, it was in a separate container, overcooked, with a tomato sauce which tasted like it came out of a jar of Prego. I was given a couple of breadsticks on the side which were described as "garlic bread sticks." You know how if you leave spices for too long, they lose all their taste? I think that's what was going on here. You could see the evidence of spices on the bread sticks, but there was no flavor. The texture was also very off.....it tasted like they were cooked and then left to steam since they were definitely cooked through, but kinda mushy. Now to the main event, the chicken piccata itself. A good chicken piccata is crispy, pan-fried with a rich, buttery sauce and hints of many flavors (wine, lemon, capers, etc.). There should be a little bit of extra sauce for the pasta. I wouldn't even call what I got Chicken Piccata. If it was fried at one point, it was not floured and by the time I got home, the texture was that of boiled chicken. There was no taste to the dish at all. The sauce was VERY watery and the dish was swimming in it. In case you're wondering, I live within 5 mins of there and since I was waiting there for the food, I are everything at about the freshest I possibly could have. I don't know where there is good Italian in the area yet, but trust me, this is not it.

Very tasty Italian food. Am a fan of the Chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, ravioli, meatballs, and lasagna. All meals come with soup or salad. Portions are available regular or small size. The regular size is huge and the smaller size is still ginormous! The creamy Italian dressing is also delicious and a must! This is take out only. You can be in and out of here in 10 minutes. Food was still hot when we got back to the house. Everything is delicious, especially considering it's to go, and affordable and I certainly can't complain about that.

Long story short: The order was wrong, the food was sad...and now I am sad...and hungry. Long story: We order from here every now and then hoping for the best and have found our food progressively disappointing. They often do not deliver but we got "lucky" tonight, got excited and placed our order! After making a long 5 hour drive home from the holiday weekend, we were ready for some hot and delicious food! We ordered a chicken saltibucco with angel hair and stuffed shells in rosa sauce. When the nice delivery guy showed up, I wished we checked the order because what we got was not what we ordered. I got a chicken saltimbucco that was FLOATING in a greasy unrecognizable sauce and my pasta that should have come with my meal was in a rosa sauce on the side. So, needless to say I couldn't even use th pasta to soak up the "sauce" or whatever it was. The chicken dish was overall just awful and the shells, in the marinara sauce and not in the rosa sauce as ordered, were "so so". Since I was hungry after not being able to eat my chicken, I decided to nibble on a roll...no luck. Rolls were hard and all there was left was a salad. If I wanted a salad for dinner, I would have ordered a salad. We called to let them know that our order was incorrect and they offered to remake it. Although that was very nice of them, there was no way that I was waiting another hour for a greasy chicken dish and 'so so' shells. No thanks. They were kind to offer us a credit on our next order and we accepted. However, unless something changes at this place, we have no intention on ever ordering again or redeeming this credit. Somoene convince me...I'll listen. Until then...we'll stick to other great conshy take outs and suggest that you do, too.

The best italian take-out I've ever had. Their baked ziti is fantabulous, the lobster ravioli is awesome, and their portions are HUGE! Whenever I leave town for any period of time this place is one that I miss dearly. We did catering once for my mother's birthday and we got so much food and everyone was stuffed to the brim.

  • Jane V.

I'll have to agree with the other reviewers - I'd say its the best Italian take-out, but then again, it was the only place I knew about in town :-) Portions were huge and I'm a left-over kind of gal, so one order or the chicken parm and angel hair pasta would last me 2.5 meals. Only negative about T'dori are the buffalo wings I ordered once. They were dry and not so tasty, but hey, it's an Italian take-out, not necessarily a bar/finger food kind of place.

The hoagies and cheesesteaks here are pretty good for the suburbs, although they do pale in comparison to Lenny's and Lou's. The meats are fresh and lean, and the portions are generous. Try the South Philly hoagie or pepper, egg, and cheese with extra caramelized onions. The Italiano steak is also pretty good, and it comes with plenty of melted provolone and sauteed spinach, which I actually like better than the broccoli rabe that is offered at most other places. The highlight of the menu, at least for me, is the salad selection. I love the honey mustard chicken salad, which comes with plenty of fresh veggies, bacon crumbles, croutons, egg, and extra cheddar (no charge for an extra 2 toppings too!); the grilled chicken is flavorful and nicely marinated and there is plenty of it, too. I usually get the honey mustard dressing, which is sweet and creamy. A large is about $8, and it will easily last 2 meals, especially since they also give you garlic bread rolls. Try it with the chilli (make sure you request sour cream, cheese, and onions with your cup/bowl). Pastas and entrees are tasty and very good for a takeout place. Just make sure that you call ahead so that your order is ready when you go to pick up because the wait can be long during dinner hours and on weekends. I've been coming here for over 10 years, and they are still just as friendly and great as ever. The owner is super sweet and really does care about his customers and their satisfaction with the food.

This place could be much better if they tried not to do SO much with their menu It's HUGE Good sandwiches, and Salads, OK pasta dishes , the Pizza absolutely sucks! Prices are comparable to most other Sandwich joints. Just don't get the damn pizza!

Plus: Their sandwiches are good and they usually come with fries and a pickle, which are also good. You get a lot of food for your money. I highly recommend their Triple Decker Clubs. Minus: Consider yourself lucky if they get your order correct. There have been several occassions where my order and those of friend's have been screwed up to the point of being unrecognizable. It's really mind-boggling. For example, I ordered Shrimp Fetuccini Alfredo. Simple enough, right? The shrimp came bobbing around in a watery alfredo soup whilst the fetuccini was separate and covered in marinara sauce. How the heck does that happen?!? Moreso, how does that happen more than once? Oh, and stay away from their salads, they're cheaply made. You get hard and brown edged lettuce and not much else.

I use this place for catering lunches. Everything Sandwich and salad related has been average to above average. Be done any pastas. Best asset is the are fast ass hell getting orders done with short notice. The never forget anything either.

Got Eggplant italnio, a garlic bread, penne w/ sauce, 3 canolis, & creamy dill pickel chips. Food was decent, portion size was generous, counter staff were component, & even though we didn't call ahead the food was ready extremely fast. It would have been 5 stars but they forgot the bread sticks. Just remembered, also had the Italian wedding soup was great.

Awesome food. We order takeout from here at least once a week. Faves are the cheesesteaks (ask for grilled onions) and the Italian hoagie. Always fresh and delicious. They also have a variety of chips and drinks. The salads are also fresh and good portions. Only dislikes are that they don't deliver all the time and the pasta was tasteless.

  • Lucinda D.

T'Dori is takeout only. They have great pasta! And grinders. Chicken caesar wrap is great (although I'd suggest getting the dressing on the side). Major drawback for their salads is that the grilled chicken is dry.

I feel like Tdori is such a well oiled machine. Not easy when you combine a HUGE menu with a busy takeout business. But they totally make it work. Tdori has become a recent staple for me, when I'm craving something local. So far, I've stuck to sandwiches and haven't branched out to their crazy selection of dinner entrees. Their whole menu is available all day though. I just have a love affair with sandwiches. Today, I ordered the chicken cordon bleu as a wrap. All wraps come with either fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings. You cannot go wrong with any of their sides! for starters, you get at least a pound of fries or rings. Today there were at least 20 onion rings with my wrap. Homemade and perfect without too much batter, and they come with a huge side of yummy 'onion ring sauce.'. The wrap itself was larger than a qdoba burrito. no joke. Tons of juicy chicken, ham, lettuce & tomato, melted Swiss and either honey mustard or mayo. The only problem is that the chicken wasn't seasoned very well. I've noticed this with two different proteins before, making the sandwich a little bit on the bland side. Maybe I just prefer my food on the spicy side, and now regular chicken tastes bland to me? I also really like the shrimp sandwiches and wraps. Not a ton of shrimp, but def enough to taste it. And for 6.99 for all sandwiches, even seafood, how can you complain?? The staff seems very well trained to handle a busy hour. They answer all questions knowledgeably and with authority like they know the menu inside and out. The takeout counter servers package everything up super efficiently and carefully. It's so nice to feel confident that my order will be correct. I've worked in restaurants my whole life and done plenty of takeout, and trust me, it's definitely not as easy as you might think! As others have noted, their portions are mammoth. even a $7 sandwich will set you back two meals. In order to prevent sogginess, I'd recommend getting sauces and the like always on the side so that your second meal will be as good as your first! Or split with a good friend! Can't wait to finally their italian specialities and report back!

T'Dori is a staple for Montgomery County. You get great food, you get sizable portions and it's fresh. I could live off the grilled chicken popeye. The salads are huge! The salads are also around $8, which compared to salad works, you get 2x the portion size here. Is it as good? No, but this is not a salad place. Tdori's offers homestyle italian takeout at a good price. There isn't much more to say but that. They have coupons on the website as well if the prices weren't enough. They cater, they have your food ready quickly. I'm running out of positives here... Cons: Getting in and out of that parking lot if I had to find fault. -J

The family orders from here once in a blue moon and for a sunday night dinner, it's okay. This time we ordered chicken parm sandwiches and cheese fries. While the portions are certainly generous (the 4 of us shared 2 hoagies/sandwiches), the sandwiches weren't the greatest. Both pieces of my and my grandfather's sandwich had burned meat in them. The cheese fries were okay, although they got cold quick. They probably rank about a 3.5 in my book.

After placing a large food order for NYE, I was really looking forward to a stress free evening. The chicken parm, meatballs, baked penne and shrimp were all fantastic. The cookie tray, though, was less than desirable. For the full tray, every single cookie was oatmeal raisin. I called today to see if there is anything that could be done - as I was happy with everything else.... And was told that the manager said that there is absolutely nothing that can be done. I was told that the cookie trays are out of their control.... I spent $450 and simply asked for a return of the cookie tray (which is still sitting in my kitchen in case they wanted it back). After being told that there was nothing that could be done, I realized that I would not be returning my business. Had the manager worked something out for the tray of stale cookies, I would have rated T'Dori much higher. The customer service really turned me off. I wish that I could let the owner know directly - rather than writing a Yelp review. But after the phone call that ended up going nowhere, I wasn't sure where to turn.

Been coming here for over a decade. Weird. Steve who runs the kitchen (maybe the owner?) is a very friendly/customer oriented guy...minus the New York sports clippings and memorabilia :) The cheesesteaks are the winner for me. They use a higher quality cut of meat for sure. All hoagies and sandwiches are a good bet. Salads are above average. Large and always with fresh veggies. Good desserts, turkey chili, and an excellent Puttanesca sauce/gravy over penne!

I usually don't agree with Jane V. about her Conshy reviews but I felt like Italian and I decided to listen. I now owe Jane V. a drink. T'Dori is(like everyone on this site has said) one of the best Take out Italian places I have ever had. You might think the prices are a little steep but once you get home and see that you have two trays of delicious goodness you won't be upset. I wouldn't necessarily say it is two full meals(I had the chicken parm because Jane said to) But it is definately a satisfying meal and a really good lunch. Unfortunately they don't have manicotti(I don't know if thats how you spell it) anymore but its regular stuff shells will more than do. Next time I go I am definately having the clams and calamari so exspect a good seafood update in the near future. P.S. Another reason I am going to be a real fan is....They have the Giants SuperBowl NY DAILY NEWS Headline in a frame on the wall. Sorry Eagles fans.

While T'dori may not be a gondola ride through Venice in terms of the Italian experience, it's hardly at the level of Olive Garden or, worse yet, Spaghetti Warehouse. T'Dori gets points for their take on Italian sandwiches, getting inspiration from classic pasta dishes like chicken florentine and chicken marsala and executing them very well between two buns. Heaping praise on heaping portions can be a backhanded diss on food quality, but it shouldn't be viewed as such here: They give you good food, and they give you a lot of it for a fair price. The menu's size rivals a small town's phone book so you do wonder if they would be better served by focusing on fewer dishes, but it's safe, reliable food in no more than 15 minutes. Try: Anything with rosa sauce, anything with vegetables or their specialty sandwiches. Pass: The bread sticks. Flat out disappointing.

By far the best Italian take out within a 30min drive of Conshy. Their sandwiches and pasta dishes have never disappointed and are quite sizable portion-wise. There is a Rita's Water Ice right next door, so you can pick up dessert too. They lose a star because their appetizers are just frozen appetizers you could buy yourself at BJ's or Costco. Catering is also available, I've never used their services, but I wish I had been invited to an event that did!

Great place for italian take-out! My Husband and I love this place. We go here for take out once a week. We get the shrimp scampi, meatballs with pasta and meat sauce, two side salads come with the entrees, and garlic bread. It's always more than we can eat and consistent. It's ready for pick up in 15 minutes or less. I always get the coupons in the mail or online which helps bring it down a bit. Most of the time we spend about 25 or so on dinner. The staff behind the counter are very nice. I highly recommend! Only downside is when Rita's is open, it can be a pain to park and navigate through people in this parking lot.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
