Came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a delicious glass of wine and a steak sandwich! The atmosphere was very nice with good music and the service was fast, I just wish the server was more caring, she didn't check on us that often and she brought the check before she ask if we wanted dessert which we did eventually order. The only thing about my steak sandwich is that it was not very Rich with flavor. The meat was good, the cheese was good as well as the bread, but the overall taste wasn't rich enough, too dry. I would definitely come back and try something different...maybe pizza? Absolutely.

Found this little gem thanks to you, yelpers! Thanks for doing what you're doing :) The man and I came here on a Saturday night, they easily fit in our party of two around 7 with same day reservations, so they must get a bunch of walk-ins because it was busy when we arrived! We sat upstairs which was super cozy, I'd love to come back when it's warmer out too! Cute bar upstairs as well. We started with the burrata appetizer, which is a crostini with burrata tomato and basil, we are a little obsessed with burrata these days and it totally hit the spot! 4 pieces so shareable for sure. We couldn't decide, so we ended up sharing three courses total and some vino for our romantic evening! Next up was the tartufo pizza - mushrooms, ricotta, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and black truffle oil - we basically licked the plate! Pizzas are about 11" so good for sharing as well! We probably could have stopped here but frankly didn't want to because everything was so darn good, and the smells from nearby tables were taunting us! So obviously we had to finish our carb-loading with the house-made pasta. We shared the bucatini, which came highly recommended among yelpers as well as by our waitress. In contrast to the other things we ordered, the portion size was smaller, perfect for a small meal for one or with appetizers! It's made with chilis and definitely packs some spice, so beware if spicy is not for you!. I have no pictures because everything looked so good when it came out that we devoured it immediately. The amount of food we ordered was perfect for us, though our waitress awkwardly kept letting us know that if we were full she could cancel the pasta order (she repeated this 3 times) haha so clearly she felt otherwise. Either way it was all amazing and I will certainly be returning this summer. Can't wait!

Tapas is my favorite type of dining experience. I was expecting an Amata type of experience, but it wasn't. When I'm eating tapas, I want an artfully crafted small plate with flavor bursting in my mouth with every bite. I did not experience that at this place. As a Conshy native, I thought I could easily find parking in the nearby avenue immediately, but I didn't. We had reservations and the place was packed. We were seated close to our reservation time. Final verdict: it was decent, but not good enough to go back to sit in close quarters, for that food, for that price.

We have been here before and had a drastically different experience. The food quality is turning out to be very inconsistent... Went tonight and was sorely disappointed and left hungry. The dishes were hard to stomach. We had sand in every bite of the clams, a salad that was pathetically dressed and thrown together (half dry - half swimming in over sweet balsamic glaze) and the sirloin was dry yet absolutely coated in the generic bottle of balsamic glaze again. I don't know what it was with the balsamic glaze tonight ... It plagued almost every dish. Awful. The comped most of our food and our waitress was very nice, understanding and accommodating. No reflection on the waitstaff. Always hate saying something but it was warranted. I will try to give them another chance. My fingers are crossed for them.

Excellent cuisine. Homemade pastas were outstanding, as was the salumi platter we started with. A bit noisy with the hard floors and walls, but we managed.
Had dinner here last night. Food was good. I had the Sea Bass and my guy had the prosciutto pizza. We liked our food but weren't wow'd so I took a star off. The atmosphere was nice, staff was good and had no complaints.

Love this spot. Great food, fair prices. Don't miss the burrata!

This place is awesome. Nice dinner spot. The restaurant is not on what you declare the "main" part of Conshohocken. Instead, it is off of Hector st. It comes up on you so fast. You past by a bunch of houses then it appears. There is also a parking lot for customers. I had the wild boar ragu pasta and it did not disappoint. I will be going back again in the future.

Very good. Cute spot that has a great ambience. Great for a date.Try the Pizza Tartufo or the Risotto. Nice staff, the risotto at first came out a bit overseasoned, they remade it, and it was near perfect.

Visited for the first time on a busy Saturday night. Nice ambience. It was a nice evening and the large glass front doors were open to the outside porch, so we felt a bit of outdoor vibe, even though we were inside. The food was very good, although we think they forgot to dress one of the salads. Our favorite appetizers were the meatballs and the fennel salad (well dressed). All four entrees were delicious: steak, sea bass, scallops and risotto. Our one complaint was that we felt rushed. We would have taken our time ordering entrees after choosing starters and drinks, but our server seemed determined to get all our orders in. consequently, as soon as the apps were cleared, the entrees arrived. Desserts were just OK. Everything is Nutella based, which was strange. We tried the crepes and donuts, but would skip them next time. Other than that, it was all good.

Excellent first experience here for lunch! At the suggestion of the friendly server I tried the pizza with Gorgonzola, pickled onions, etc. It was so flavorful and the ingredients really complemented each other. My favorite was the side of chili infused oil and fresh oregano stems leaves that came on the side. Wow! Fresh oregano is going to be my new staple when making pizza at home. Place is much needed for the area and it's fresh, airy and not overdone decor. Looking forward to coming back without business to do so I can actually sip some wine and try other dishes on the menu.

Went with a group - great menu variety, delicious food, fun atmosphere. Our waiter was super friendly, but a little forgetful - luckily there were two others bringing out food, so they filled his gaps. I definitely recommend Bar Lucca.

Bar Lucca is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Conshohocken. It's small, upscale and rustic at the same time, and comfortable. And a little expensive for this gal's wallet, so it's more like a rare treat as well. Bar Lucca has a full bar, with a relatively small selection of beers and wines by the glass, and a larger selection of wines by the bottle. The food is perfect to pair with wine, but unfortunately none of the glasses are under $8 (from my recollection of my last visit), so enjoy the glass slowly! Wait staff seems pretty knowledgeable and can help you find something you'll like. Food is small plate style. Don't picture tapas plates, though. More like half sized entrees. Perfect for sharing a bunch of plates between friends. The pizzas are big though, one pie is more than enough for one person! I personally love the pastas. Each type of pasta is perfectly handmade, and each sauce is perfectly complementary to the noodle. The pappardelle with wild boar ragu ($14) was so earthy and hearty, it might have been my favorite. The gnocchi with black garlic cream ($13) was light and rich at the same time, but the plate was super tiny for the price. While it was tasty, I probably wouldn't order it again - unless you want to buy it for me! The pizzas from the wood fired pizza oven look great. I sampled the one with fresh mozzarella, proscuitto and arugula ($15). Tasty, chewy pizza crust, and fresh ingredients. For the price, the pizzas seem to be a great bang for your buck. Each table is also offered bread on the house. Unfortunately, they only seem to offer a salt loaf, which is (obviously) way too salty, at least for my palate. You can try to brush off the salt from the crust, but the flavor is all the way through the bread. I wish they had a different variety; or if they have another option, I wish they would offer it as well! Overall, it's a lovely option for a dinner date, or to meet up with friends in an intimate setting. It's a very welcoming environment, no suit and tie necessary! There is a nice looking patio, but unfortunately it's street side, so you'll get a lovely view of passing cars! There is also a very small parking lot, so there's a good chance you'll have to park on the street.

This restaurant looks so out of place among the neighborhoods. It's a nice restaurant, which I didn't expect when I walked in. N and I came for dinner on a weeknight and were seated right away. The bread isn't anything to rave about. N had the steak, and I had the sea bass. Both dishes were delicious. However, the portions are tiny! They almost look like appetizer portions for the price of entrees! We were both still hungry afterwards and almost went to get sushi for a second dinner... Don't come with an appetite, or come with a fat wallet!

Hidden gem in Conshohocken. Italian tapas in a smart casual ambiance. Definitely get their homemade pastas (Bucatini, Parpadelle, Testaroli). Meatballs are great, and go for the Rissoto and Duck Breast. Pizzas a cheaper options if you're on a budget. Outdoor seating as well.

This place is right down the street from my boyfriend's house, and after driving past it about 100 times, we decided to check it out for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Despite being a Tuesday night, the place was fairly crowded - lots of folks at the bar and high top tables, and the dining room was nearly full (though it emptied out around 8 or so). The atmosphere is fairly romantic, and thanks to recent renovations it still has that "new" feeling. The music playing throughout the place was a bit odd - seems like they might still be trying to strike the balance between bar and romantic restaurant. We started with the meatballs and little neck clams. Good reports on the meatballs, and though I found the clams to be pretty sandy, the broth was delicious. Our waiter actually left the bowl and brought out extra bread (which is delicious, baked with sea salt on the crust) for dipping in the broth. Thought it was a thoughtful touch, and I appreciated the fact that we weren't being rushed. For dinner I ordered the sea bass, and my boyfriend got the wood-fired steak. He claims it was delicious, though because the outside is wood charred it's difficult to tell exactly how thoroughly it's cooked - he said the medium he ordered was more on the side of medium-well. The sea bass was cooked almost perfectly, with a crisp outer shell. I was also a huge fan of the vegetable puree that it was served on. Finally, we split the nutella doughnuts for dessert. They were delicious, though I'd refrain from calling them amazing. Overall, the service was excellent. Our waiter was new, but we never would have known had another waitress not come to ask us how he was doing. Definitely a good little spot in Conshohocken - I will hopefully be back to try the pizzas!

Inconsistent on both food and service. Chili arugula salad was excellent. Homemade pasta heavily salted and over cooked. Octopus over cooked and not properly prepared to avoid toughness. Also, I like the small plate trend however when restaurants start serving "smaller" plates at full entree prices this becomes a problem. This has become the case here.

Jon M.
As another reviewer put it exquisitely: "I like the small plate trend however when restaurants start serving "smaller" plates at full entree prices this becomes a problem. This has become the case here." Came here for Valentine's Day dinner. Our bill ended up at $75 for $15 worth of food, give or take. This is exactly the type of establishment I can not stand. DO NOT charge me $20 for the duck, and then present me with ~$5 worth of mediocre product, which was undercooked and had to go back. I get that you're trying your hand at the tapas trend, but when you're charging me $18 or $19 per small plate, I expect more than I can make myself. Save your money and try some places that can do the tapas trend correctly like In Riva in East Falls or even Amada in Center City. These are true tapas/small plate establishments that have the right amount of size/price to go along with the quality/atmosphere.

Bar Lucca is adorable. They deserve 5 stars for atmosphere. Nice front porch area, dimly lit and rustic/modern interior. We arrived as a party of 4 without reservations around 9 PM on Friday night and were seated immediately. This is a small plates/meant to share restaurant. Our waitress suggested 5-7 plates for our table. We started out with the meatballs which were good, but came as an order of 3 with 4 people at the table. Wish we would have known that prior. We then ordered the margherita pizza which was very average, the prosciutto pizza which was pretty good, and the tartufo which was the standout with mushrooms, goat cheese, ricotta and truffle oil (duh why wouldn't it be good with all those indulgent ingredients!), and the wild board pasta dish which was also dubbed mediocre. They had a decent wine and beer list with a limited number of cocktails. Prices are pretty on par with anywhere similar you might go in the city, but I just feel like the quality of the food wasn't really as high as you might get there. If they didn't have pizza, their menu would be pretty lackluster. Will I go back? Yes- it's definitely unique for Conshy and within walking distance. But, it will not be a go to.

Another spectacular addition to the Conshohocken restaurant scene. Walked in on a Friday night - atmosphere was great, dimly lit but lively crowd 30-40's. We somehow landed a spot at at the pizza bar and enjoyed watching the open air kitchen show! Our adorable server recommended the Sea Bass and Papardella, so we decided to share. Taking her other recommendation, we started with meatballs which were tough but topped with unbelievable tomatoes that made up for meat! The homemade bread and oil paired nicely with the Mediterranean wine we chose. The entrees were the highlight of our meal. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The fish was cooked perfectly. The parsnip and butternut squash puree and zucchini that accompanied the fish were so good and the wild boar pappardelle, was absolutely homemade and melt in your mouth perfect. Look forward to trying the pizzas which are the current "talk of the town" as well as the happy hour scene and lunch menu. Nice job!
I was in charge of hosting an international group for a corporate event. After enjoying lunch at Bar Lucca on the weekend, I asked if they had a party room. They did have space upstairs to rent. I met with Christina, one of the owners who was so responsive and creative. We talked about options. They had a "Chef Throwdown" where they take ingredients and have the group work in teams to create the pizzas and rotollos (sp?). Then while they cook, we had wine and salad. It was PERFECT!!! Our group had so much fun. There were many non Enlgish speakers; all felt and were welcomed warmly. I fell in love with the lunches there - the sandwiches are so good, the pizza is delicious, and we LOVE the clams. I knew once I saw the room that this was going to be a hit. Brian (owner) was friendly and engaging with the guests. The wait staff was great. During the wine tasting (which I left to Brian and Christina) they poured half tastes for 45 guests. The wine was very good too - all very unique and falvorful, but also agreeable at the same time. It exceeded my nervous expectations. I am definitely hosting my next corporate event or family event here - it was SO FUN!

If you've had good authentic Italian food, your expectations might be like mine were when visiting Bar Lucca. We were disappointed to taste one mediocre dish after the other. To start, the octopus was so tough that we couldn't cut through it with a knife. The pasta was way too heavily salted where it was borderline inedible and the pizza was uninspiring with watery sauce that lacked flavor. To add insult to injury, our check was $90 (before gratuity) for the food and 2 glasses of wine. Will not be returning despite the overwhelmingly positive Yelp reviews.

Legitimately another overpriced and underwhelming dining experience. Good was mediocre at best - From the Boot has better food. Drinks were overpriced and lightly poured. It's identity is confused - is this a lounge or restaurant? Hard to park and service was mediocre. I won't return. Better meals to be had!

This was my first time at Bar Lucca. My husband and I were meeting another couple. I had never been to the old place, but my friend had and they were very impressed with the renovations. I arrived early and sat at the bar. I was promptly greeted and handed a menu. I ordered the lemontini. It was quite tasty. I was disappointed that I wasn't given the happy hour menu. I found out about that on my second drink. I ordered the house red wine they had on tap, I believe it was a Karamoor, a local winery. It was great. I really enjoyed the lightness of it. We were seated and greeted by our server, who let us know it was one of her first days. I never would have been able to tell because her service was spectacular. She was really on top of everything from taking orders, filling waters, reordered cocktails. She was phenomenal. Kudos to Bar Lucca for making a great hire. We ordered the clams as an appetizer. They were ok. I really think it's a personal preference, there was an herb in there that I'm not totally keen about, but again that was my personal preference. I ordered the sea bass. It.was.amazing. I could have easily had a second portion. It was melt in your mouth good. My husband ordered the goat. He enjoyed it, but didn't like the red sauce as much. I tried it and thought it was great. My overall experience was great. A few small changes and this would've been a 5 star rating.

I can't believe I waited as long as I did to eat here. It was delicious! Went here with my husband and another couple for Restaurant Week. The food was delicious. The only critique I have is that the salad I ordered did not specify that it had hot peppers in it, and I cannot eat hot things such as that. I am definitely looking forward to going back soon, though!

I didn't know what to think when my girlfriend suggested this place. It's off the beaten path of Fayette Street and the neighborhood isn't the prettiest, but I'm glad I didn't judge a book by its cover! I am glad that she recommended this place. The decor has a rustic farmhouse feel to it! Cute electric lightbulbs add to the charm of the table setting. Lots of rich reclaimed wood shades and very peaceful for Sunday brunch. There is an accordion window that would be nice for the summertime to get some airflow- however there isn't much to see if patrons are sitting on the patio. In the back of the space is an open kitchen with a nice pizza oven. Right inside the door is a nice little bar with a tv for all the people that need to watch the game. The music was a tad bit too loud to have conversation! We were seated right the speaker and I found myself straining to hear my girlfriends. I had the strawberry and procuittio arugula salad. It was nicely dressed, the greens were fresh. I wish that there was bread for the table but we had a nice Peach Bellini to fill the void( albeit pricey for the burbs, but tasty, so I didn't miss it too much. My one gripe was that the food didn't all come to the table at the same time so I had to look at my salad for a couple of minutes before they other food arrived. the waiter was attentive, but didn't refill our water, thankfully he left the bottle on our table so we helped ourselves. He didn't rush us out the door as we were chatting for quite a while. All in all, it gets a solid 3.5 stars. I will be back for the Nutella donuts!

Very good food and great service. I was impressed by the simple clean and fresh flavors. The portion size was just right. I didn't leave so full that it ruined my night but was completely satisfied. We shared two apps (fennel salad and charred octopus) they both were excellent. Then we had the sea bass and the sirloin- omg - Soo good! I'll be back for awesome food and great service.

Been here several time with colleagues and family. It's loud on the weekends but very nice for a weekday lunch or even a little happy hour. Food was good. The last time I was at Bar Lucca our server seemed to be very uninterested but the two men who brought out our pizzas (they were definitely not servers) were very courteous and even described what went into making our pizzas. Overall I like the food they serve and would definitely go back. Biggest con is the parking space.it is Extremely hard to find parking.

This place was a great find! A charming Italian spot with a great beer and wine selection nestled in the middle of Conshohoken. Food was delicious and service was excellent. The bar had a surprisingly fun scene too! The fennel sausage pizza was good but we were expecting a red sauce... Would probably just go for the margherita next time. Get the Nutella doughnuts for dessert!

I live pretty much across the street and I cannot get enough of Bar Lucca. My roommates, friends, and family have all been already and are in love also. For appetizers I would recommend the cheese plate, meat plate or Burrata. You really cant go wrong with any meal. The entree's may look small when it comes to your table, but you will fill up quickly and every pizza is delicious. The atmosphere is great, you can go casual (like we did during the late snow storm) or it can be a dressy spot for a date.

What a pleasant surprise in the middle of a blandish row house neighborhood! This place looks pretty new and is really fresh looking. Octopus was really delicious and so was the Bucatini -home made pasta! Plus full bar, plus al fresco dining. Folks, we have a winner!!!

Came here recently and it was overall a solid meal with solid atmosphere and just a good time overall. We liked getting a tad bit fancied up but jeans and slacks alike were found amidst the cozy yet open, dimly lit interior- smelling of brick oven pizza. Went to check out the oven after eating. which is in plain site to diners and was able to learn about the ovens and pizzas from one of the friendly chefs. My partner in crime eats the same amount as two grown men and was a tad disappointed at the portions for the price but you're paying for the mood, taste and service which is fine by me! Beautiful outdoor seating area and a great new hip conshy spot if you want a reasonable yet upscale special date night!

Enjoyed this a lot! The servings are smaller (a la tapas), but I left quite satisfied. We started with a croquette of suckling pig....small, so I didn't ask hubby to share, but he seemed to like it. I got the mushroom bruschetta and inhaled it...earthy mushrooms balanced with a roasted tomato and julienned pear atop a pesto oil. Hubby had the steak...not an enormous piece, but nicely done. I had the bucatini...fresh, al dente and served with bacon lardons...Calabrian chiles gave it a nice heat. We finished with coffee and pistachio gelato. This, plus 2 glasses of wine was $75. Our waiter was attentive (and easy on the eyes ;o) Pacing was good, as well. I'd go back.

Pretty place to hang out Happy hour out on the patio and the bar till 8pm but even if I order from the regular drinks menu it's very light and no alcohol in there.. Make sure u get wine or beer or something that doesn't require mixing Bruschetta with cheese and roasted peppers and watercress was awesome!!! Arugula salad was ok Pizza was nice n thin Clams was good too Will go back there :-) Oh friendly waitress ;)

I have been to Bar Lucca several times over the past year. I will say that it is one of my favorite restaurants in Conshohocken, perhaps that is because there are very few GOOD ones. Bar Lucca prides itself on its modern twist to traditional Italian meals. Pasta is hand made in house and it tastes as such. The waiters recommend multiple plates per table for sharing, however I have always ordered my own meal and have been very satisfied. My favorite meals have been the Fettuccini and pesto, meatballs, Bucatini, and the NUTELLA DOUGHNUTS. That's right, I said it. To die for!! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a rustic industrial feel. Tonight I ate outside, which I thought would be charming until ten minutes in we became frightened we were too close to the street. I mean, if a car went astray for a moment, the whole outside dining area could be killed! Other than that, it was lovely. I recommend this restaurant to anyone living in the Conshy area looking for a quick and relaxing date night.

I was really hesitant to try this place because of the mixed reviews, but I had a wonderful time at Bar Lucca. I went with three friends, which was the perfect amount of people to sample a lot of different plates. This is mostly a tapas restaurant, but some of the plates could have been enough for one person. I tried Chanterelle Bruschetta, Duck Breast, Fettucine Pasta and the Prosciutto Pizza. Just the pizza could have been a big meal for one person and had chili oil on the side, so you can control how spicy you wanted it to be. Then we finished the meal with Nutella Doughnuts and Poached Pear Soup. I split the plates, but I was completely stuffed afterwards. It felt like thanksgiving. Everything was delicious and the service was on point. I'm glad I tried this place and I will come back. Also, there is a small parking lot, which is a plus.

Early Sunday dinner was delicious and interesting. Sharing the small dishes was fun. The peach Bellini was great. The meatballs were fabulous and the sauce was really made for dipping. Interesting thin crust pizza with potatoes and panchetta was very good. All three "main courses were yummy - steak done to perfection, Bronzino grilled with couscous, and pheasant stuffed with a nut infused light stuffing. Finished off the meal with signature Nutella stuffed doughnuts.- absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend this well decorated comfortable restaurant.

The first time I went to Bar Lucca, my husband and I had a wonderful meal. We had a great waiter and he suggested some great things for us. The second time was not so wonderful. Our waitress had no personality and was not very friendly. The place was so loud, we had to shout to hear eat other. This time we didn't order any pizza but got the special which turned out to be $35. Please remember that these are SMALL plates. I don't appreciate the waitress not giving us a heads up on the price of the special. Everyone who I've talked to about this restaurant has said negative things. I couldn't understand because our first visit was great, but after the second I understood. We will not be going back.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the menu and vibe at Bar Lucca. The food is out of this world delicous and fresh fresh fresh! We sat at the pizza bar and decided we would sit there every time we go back, which we will, many times. The guys making the pizzas were really friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working here as did all of the ktichen staff. From the pizza bar you see the behind the scenes of the restaurant and more than once the kitchen staff were dancing and laughing having a good time. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. It was great to see people who actually enjoy what they're doing! The Margarita pizza was made right before our eyes and was oh so delicious, the perfect blend of cheese, sauce and basil. The best part for me was the crust that was sprinkled with garlic, I usually leave pizza crust behind but it was too good to not eat. We also had the fettucine which again was delicous, I think it was our favorite dish of the night. Initially we weren't sure about the pine nuts, but it gave the pasta a little crunch witht eh rich cream pesto sauce which was nice. Last, for dessert... we had... the clams. I cant even describe the flavors of the broth and boy was there plenty of it! After we had eaten all of the clams my boyfriend and I ate the broth like a soup with our spoons and dipping bread. Go! Try Bar Lucca, you won't be disappointed! *Update* 2 days later we went back! We couldnt resist, this time we ordered the purple potato soup, which didnt have as much flavor as i had hoped it would but the fortes pizza made up for it. TALK about FLAVOR dear lord it was packed with it, the sour from the pickled onions, spiciness of the chiles and the richness of the gorgonzola cheese all went so well together piled onto that delicious crust. It was very spicy but a good spicy, the kind you cant get enough of and keep going back for more.

My girlfriend and I decided on this place for dinner last night. I saw the other Yelp reviews and was excited. First- they have parking which is awesome. Second- our meal and service were great! We shared 4 plates- they say they are "small plates" but definitely all the portions were a good size and we had leftovers! We started with the burrata app and clams- both awesome! The bread they give you is so good too. Then we had the special pizza which had bacon lardons and egg on top- how can you go wrong. And we had the fettucini with basil pesto. Drinks were great as well- we each had a special cocktail and glass of wine. Our service was great- our server was friendly and let us enjoy our food at a good pace. We ended up getting the Nutella doughnuts for dessert. So delish! All and all this place is going on my favorite list. I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend.

I have been here on a few occasions and it does not disappoint. The bucatini is possibly my favorite pasta dish of all time and I am from an italian family (don't tell my nonna). I also did a sparkling wine tasting event here and it was a blast in addition to being inexpensive and informative. I would also recommend the mushroom bruschetta, burrata and arugula salad but seriously make sure you save room for the bucatini.

This is one of my favorite restaurants period! The atmosphere is great and the quality of the food is amazing! One of my favorites is their Bucatini. The pasta is cooked to perfection, al dente and full of flavor. Their pizza is also very good with a nice crust. Although I'm not crazy about dessert my wife and i also love their Nutella doughnuts. I never get tired of coming here.

Was there for the second time earlier today. I was raving how great this place is to my family and was very disappointed upon arrival. We went for Sunday Brunch and I guess we got there too early (even though they were already open) because the bartender and the server disappeared. We ordered bloody mary's and since they weren't prepared they tried to get us to order mimosa's instead. Long story short, they ran out of hot sauce or something to put in the bloody's and they put the CHILI OIL that they serve with the pizza in the drinks. I already knew the drink looked funny but, i decided to give them the benefit of the doubt however, I drank straight oil! GROSS! Needless to say, I hope they have improved since then but, I will not be returning.

Trying too hard to be trendy and charging too much for the experience. I am sorry for the review I am about to give. I know a lot of people in the area like Bar Lucca, and I appreciate the creativity in some of the dishes, but honestly for the price/portion/taste scale leaves me wanting for more (at a much lower price). The highlight (in the taste department) had to be the blood orange salad. It was unique to me, as I have never mixed citrus with tomato. Now I will cook this on my own because it was very tasty. We also had the white bean soup, which was bland and served like orange juice at a diner (small portion) I know...this place is trying to be like a Northern Italian tapas bar, but they don't pull it off. Tapas restaurants are way different that this place. My wife had the fish, which I found ok but my wife did like because it seemed to have the skin still attached. To each their own. I order the pizza because I noticed the portions coming out and wanted something filling. I got the fennel sausage pizza which was ok, but still not worth the price-tag. I am sure that others who have money to spare will find this place great, but for me I found it pretentious and not worth the money. Sorry guys.

Beautiful place and when the weather is nice they open up the glass doors onto a little deck in the front that has a few tables which is a bonus. Service was good, I only sat at the bar. We walked but there is a parking lot. The drinks and beer were good. I wasn't a huge fan of the food selection. Its Mediterranean (not that I'm against the Mediterranean), just didn't see too many things on the menu that appealed to me. It's tapas style, items are small plates except for the pizza. I will say they did have delicious bread.

I was excited to try after reading the reviews.I went on a Saturday night and sat at the bar.The bartender was very nice and helpful. We wanted to try a little everything.Everything was very good.I do wish we could of got a cheese and meat board combo. We did get the meat board which had 4 slices of meat and some crostini type bread and strawberry slices.I would of like a little more meat.We also had clams-broth was nice to dip bread in ,pizza and Bronzino.Everything was very good but the portions are on the smaller size. It is very loud maybe because of the size or acoustics.Overall a good experience. Interesting people watching seeing it is a new place with a little more city vibe it attracts a nice crowd.

This place is a great new addition to the Conshohocken area. The parking could be better but I really enjoyed my meal. I started off with the Baby Arugula salad, it had a nice kick to it but I like things that are spicy. Then I had the sea bass that was a perfect portion and ended my meal with the yummy nutella donuts!

Highly recommend! Shared the meatballs, arugula salad, mushroom pizza, pasta with pancetta, Nutella doughnuts. It was all fantastic! Great wine and excellent service. Fun atmosphere with a group too.

I can't say enough good things about Bar Lucca. The first time I sat at the pizza bar with my girlfriend and we just had pizza and dessert. The prosciutto pizza can't be beat! I had recently had Pizzeria Vetri and the pizza at Bar Lucca is just as good, if not better. One of the cooks told me the pizza oven was hand-built brick by brick over a period of months--you can taste the difference! The second time I brought my parents, brother and sister-in-law. We all ordered 2-3 of our favorite things and shared. The meatballs were fresh and juicy; the arugula salad brought the heat with those calabrian chiles; my Dad refused to share his pappardelle; and the wood fired prime sirloin was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the oven imparted all the smokiness of charcoal grill. It was one of the best dinners out I'd had in a long time. I see some reviews mentioning small portions--on both visits the waitstaff informed me that the portions were akin to tapas style and that we should order accordingly. That they would be on the smaller side was never in doubt. If you are with a group that loves to share I highly recommend going this route as you get to try the most dishes. Portion size was sort of irrelevant: I didn't leave hungry on either occasion. In addition, there are also always specials that throw a wrench into your order. The braised-rabbit pizza we ordered was phenomenal and showed why the pizza is absolutely on par with the best in the region. Final-Tip: Save room for dessert and the house-made Nutella donuts because they are BOMB!

Excellent service excellent food! Loved the sausage and fennel pizza. Our party of 6 enjoyed the shared plates. Sea bass was delish! Will be back!

I went to Bar Lucca for pizza on the recommendation of a friend, and I was sadly not impressed. The service was decent, but hectic and frenzied; and I noticed some confusion over orders when food came out. Also, I did not appreciate the loud music playing in the downstairs dining space - it was so loud that I could feel the thumping upstairs from the beats (other reviewers also commented on this). I could barely hear my server (and I had to shout when speaking with my dinner companion). In fact, it was so loud that other patrons has to speak very loudly to each other too, which just compounded the whole noise-level issue. Anyway, I could have let go of the service and ambiance if the food were great, but it wasn't. The cured meat tray was only okay, and I was not thrilled with the fennel sausage pizza I ordered. The sausage had a very strange texture (it was sliced on the diagonal and was kind of chewy), and it came with a white cheese sauce and leeks, which was not the best combination. Perhaps I am old-fashioned, but I was thinking of crumbled sausage with chunky tomatoes, a flavor profile that has been proven to be delicious. I wanted to like this place, but I don't think I'll be returning. There definitely better places to get hand-crafted/artisan pizza.

The food was good, service was great!! My only recommendation would be, while I appreciate a simple menu, I wish there were more options. The pasta was great on a cold night in February but I would want more salads and lighter options for the upcoming spring and summer months.

We had a great family meal at Bar Lucca celebrating my mom's birthday. The weeknight atmosphere was warm and lively, and service was relaxed but attentive. Everything that we ordered was wonderful & enjoyed by all! We tried a little of everything - pizza, salads, pastas, risotto, and Bronzino. You cannot underestimate the deliciousness of fresh pasta :) We truly enjoyed our experience and can't wait to be back again for more!

My boyfriend and I have been meaning to try Bar Luca since it opened, and are happy to say it lived up to expectations from what we heard from friends and other yelpers! The atmosphere - Nice layout and the tables are big enough to fit your food - which is one of my pet peeves when you don't have space for your drink and a plate without the fear of spilling something. The brick oven in the back gives a romantic atmosphere because the lights are dim in the restaurant and it seems the oven/kitchen area give off a glow. The Food - The style is italian tapas and the plates are reasonable size compared to other similar style places I've been. Overall quality was great! We had two pastas - the parpadelle and the pesto, both tasted fresh and homeade. The bruchetta was my only complaint. The bread was burnt and the flavors were hidden in the tomatoe (supposed to be gorgonzala and pear). We also had the sirloin, cooked well with flavor throughout. Also would highly recommend saving room for dessert - the nutella doughnuts are a specialty worth splurging for. The Service - Our server was attentive and good at explaining the specials. The food came out at a good pace. Parking - It would have been nice to park there - but the lot was full. They do have a small parking lot but on that side of town parking is limited on the street. Allow extra time for parking! Price - Prices are fair for the quality but not something I would do every weekend. The wine is pricey. All bottles on the list are $45 and up.

This place is amazing! Went here with some friends on a Wednesday and had a terrific experience. It was busy and we managed to get a table upstairs. Our server Cann was a pleasure explaining all the specials and dishes as well as great wine recommendations. We started with the arugula salad, strawberry and procuitto salad, and bone marrow bruschetta. The bone marrow was suburb even though we had to dig out the goo ourselves. For our next course we got the bitto pizza, prime sirloin and meatballs. Everything was fresh and delicious. The pizza had a great brick oven char and the steak was cooked a perfect med rare. I can't stress enough how great our server Cann was. He was knowledgable, funny and really made our night. We will be going back very soon!

Recently went there for a friends birthday party. We had a fantastic time - so my review may be a bit biased! Fancy Place - and their ambiance, courteousness, food quality, presentation are up to the mark! (The Pizza's are cooked in a brick stove ) The Forte Pizza.. I remember we ordered a lot of it.. And It was good. Cheese board - was nice too. unique wine/beer list - calls me back.. I ordered the Rabbit for my main entree. First time trying rabbit and was not disappointed. They matched the flavor of the meat perfectly with the sauce, and even though the dish included something as strong as rosemary - they provided a stem of it - not mixed in the dish - so you could use it as required and it gave my nose subtle hints of rosemary as well... The union resulted in me drooling. Last but not the least - the desert was simply sugar coated fried flour balls filled with warm nutella, and some sweet strawberries that I noticed later.. :) For the price I think this place was fantastic! In their eclectic menu - quality of ingredients, and service.. Specially taking into account the size of my group (16 people)

Wow...Just got back from dinner with the family. We had a fantastic meal at Bar Lucca. We ordered two pastas (Papardelle was amazing), and two pizza's, both were cooked to perfection. Topped off with a great Cote de Rhone. Dessert closed out the meal perfectly, we had Nutella doughnuts and the most amazing pistachio gelato...off the charts... Service was terrific too.... Clear winner, we will be back!
My husband picked this for his birthday outing last night. When I had to drive around several blocks to find parking despite the lot next door, I should have known that this was going to be a disappointing evening. The entrance is very trendy (dark), with lots of exposed brick. My husband got a drink at the bar while I parked. When I arrived, the hostess took us upstairs to be seated. I was surprised that there was a second floor - none of the reviews mentioned that. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable; however, we didn't receive any bread until our starters arrived. Now for the food. The purple potato soup which came recommended was way too bitter from dandelion greens but otherwise tasteless. The lardo bruschetta was okay but nothing special; again, the greens overpowered the taste. The pappardelle amazing. If we'd known we would have ordered just that. But at the suggestion of our server, we ordered the Coppa pizza. What a mistake. The pizza crust was burned to a crisp on the edges but the bottom was too soft, and the coppa was so salty that we were basically eating salty bread. Adding the chile oil just made it spicy, salty bread. For dessert, we had read raves about the Nutella donuts, so we got those. They were good but not the amazing confection we expected. All in all, we are glad we tried it but were so disappointed that we likely won't be going back.

Very nice makeover of a popular neighborhood spot. Sat at the bar for lunch on Friday. The place was packed with every table filled. Our bartender was great. Very friendly. Very fast service which was appreciated especially since the place was so crowded. The food however was just ok. The pizza was tasty but soggy and limp. My crab sandwich was also tasty but had very little crab and a lot of bread, and at $13 not a great deal. The fries that came with the sandwich were excellent, but the portion was very small. Can do better in the area for food for less money. Would stop back for drinks at the very nice bar.

I had the pleasure of going to Bar Lucca this past Friday night. I was there for a birthday dinner with a large party and the wait staff did an amazing job accommodating all of our needs. With that said the wait staff wasn't the best part of the evening, our food was nothing short of amazing. We all shared a few small plates for appitizers. The pizza was truly amazing. For dinner I split the Stuffed meatballs and wild boar ragu with pappardelle. Both were absolutely amazing! The freshness of the pasta was delicious and the ragu was spot of on. I believe it is safe to say that everyone in our large party had an amazing meal. After dinner we went and hung out at the bar and true to form like StoneRose the bar scene was fun and the bartenders truly knowledgeable. I am really struggling to find a bad thing to say about this place. I truly can't wait to go back for dinner again!

The service here is top notch. The servers know what they're selling and took care of us from start to finish. Just recently in for a glass of wine and waited on by Zach, he couldn't have been more accomodating.

Dined there on Saturday evening with a party of 4. The space is great and quite a facelift from the former establishment. The food overall was phenomenal. Starters were: Arugula salad (super spicy dressing which is weird for a salad and two of my diners couldn't even eat it) Meatballs (I thought they were ok but I am very picky when it comes to homemade meatballs) Margherita Pizza (very fresh and tasty but super thin crust and just wasn't overly exciting to me) Main dishes were the start of the night! We had: Bucatini (amazing fresh pasta and the sauce was divine, perfectly balanced with bacon and hot peppers) Sea Bass (amazing and parsnip puree was divine) Duck (delicious, although the leg was hard to eat and not my fav part of the bird) Veal Risotto (melts in your mouth phenomenal) The one downside was the service which still needs the kinks to be worked out. We were told it was tapas style which is a bit weird given the menu but we were up for it. Put in our order and the first thing to come out were our 4 entrees, followed up in 1 minute by the salad and meatballs. So it was not the relaxed, progressive meal you expect with tapas but rather everything served at once. We then waited about a half hour for our pizza and were long done everything else. When we finally asked about it, they had forgotten to bring it out. So quickly made another and took it off the bill which was nice. For dessert had the nutella doughnuts which were amazing and the perfect little treat to end the meal. All in all, loved the food- much better than Stonerose in my opinion and will be back!

Bar Luca is a great place to eat. Had the little neck clams and a sweet pizza! Apparently this place is so cool you need a restoration or you have to eat at the bar. We were very lucky to go up stairs and had the opportunity to be taken care if by John. He recommended a AWSOME Belgian white with a fancy name. When you end up sitting at the bar to eat, it can be a good thing or a bad thing. John promptly took our order for food and drinks. He knew when ton engage in conversation and when to back off. A lot of times when eating at a bar the bartender is chewing your ear off when trying to eat!

Dinner for 4 @ 7PM on a Friday. Sat on the second floor. High marks for Service/Food/Atmosphere. We ordered 6 dishes plus those crazy nutella donuts and everyone was stuffed. I think the pasta Migliatani was the best. The side of meatballs were just OK themselves, but the gravy they came in had us asking for more bread to soak it all up. We will be back without a doubt.

Our first visit yesterday for happy hour only to learn that they do not have a happy hour. Also from 3 to 5 they serve only salads or pizza. The menu is very limited and pricey as were the drinks. Wanted to serve me cold merlot from a bar gun. The place is decorated very well. Double doors open out to patio. Nice touch at noon but with cars whizzing bye at 4pm, felt like I was on the runway at Terminal E. Oh and the lunch pastas are several dollars more than the dinner pastas. Who ever heard of that. Great decorating job but it is Conshy and not Manhattan so the prices would need to be reformed before we become regulars.

This just opened up, so naturally I was curious about it. The food here is amazing. Let me be clear, it's tough to beat the quality of food and how it's prepared. Also the vibe and prices were good. The service on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. They only brought bread after we placed a food order. We were waiting for a third member but had drinks ordered. Initially, while waiting for the rest of the party the waitstaff checked in almost too much. However, once our party was complete and we were ready to order, they took quite awhile to come get our order. Secondly, we asked for all plates to come at once, three appetizers being shared as a meal between the two ladies and one entree. One app came, then a few minutes later the main course and two apps, one app completely wrong. It sat on our table for a few minutes before we received attention and informed them of the mistake. It took at least 5 minutes before someone came over, did NOT apologize for the mix up and simply asked if we still wanted it. No offer for a comp or to keep the mistaken item. Either the staff was fed or someone got our leftovers. The cheese board we ordered was high quality, but all three were similar style, all three were stinky. Not much variety and barely any bread to go with it, 2 little pieces. We had to use the table's free bread. Disappointing for the price. The duck I ordered was great, but it needed a steak knife to cut, not the standard butter knife provided. Portion was good. The strawberry prosciutto was perfect, but a small portion. The meatballs came as 3 and were slightly overcooked, may have not had enough time to sit after cooking to re soak the juices. They were seared on the outside and tough inside. Perhaps they were rushed due to the mistake. For the price, it's great. I'd wait a few weeks until the staff has gotten into the rhythm of things before coming here. I will come here again eventually because the chef knows what they are doing.

The hole in the wall is fixed! This place would be 5 stars in my book if not for the girls at the hostess station, a mix of snobby, and clueless that is not appealing or welcoming. Other than that the place is top notch, in food quality, and service and atmosphere. Oh, and the Nutella Donuts seemed a lot smaller last visit, still good, but not quite so over the top as the first few visits.

Parking lot was full but there was on street parking nearby. First time we've been here since it changed hands and has been redone. I like what they have done with the place. It has certainly been updated and has a modern feel. The service was good but needs to be trained on the finer points, e.g. taking the menus away after taking the order. We had the meatballs & mozzarella which were different and very good. We followed with a Marguerita pizza which was merely ok. I must admit we just returned from a Mediterranean cruise so we are holding them to a high standard. Our problem with the pizza is that it was not crispy enough. The outside crust was charred but the center of the pizza was doughy. We gave them an "a" for effort a "c" for execution. I hope they get better.

My husband and I were joined by another couple at Bar Lucca earlier this week. We were promptly seated upon our arrival for our reservation in their dining room, which has undergone a complete transformation since the previous inhabitants, Totaro's, moved out. The entire space is very attractive, with beautiful stone everywhere, large windows, and a nice contemporary yet rustic feel. There are two floors with a large bar in the entrance area, a smaller bar in the dining room, and another small bar upstairs. Our waitress was very friendly and seemed honestly excited to commence our first dinner at Bar Lucca. She explained the menu and suggested that we share 7 or 8 plates between the 4 of us, which sounded a bit much, so we ended up sharing the baby arugala salad (with a nice spice to liven things up!), meatballs, maltagliati, and 2 pizzas: the prosciutto and the bitto. Everything was delicious; the meatballs were perfectly moist and hearty, the maltagliati pasta was delicious, and although the 2 wives of the table much preferred the bitto over the prosciutto pizza, they were delicious. The stone-fired crust was to-die-for and something you cannot executed quite as well at many places in the area. (Isabella, I think you're in trouble!) We are so excited to have this new restaurant in the area! We are huge fans of the Stone Rose, but their menu is fairly limited so it is hard to frequent without getting bored with it.

I had a show in the area and searched Yelp for a place to eat. Bar Lucca came up with a consistent 4 star rating, so we gave it a try. Glad we did! We got there around 4:30 PM and were seated immediately. The waitress told us that dinner will not be served until 5:00, but we could order salads and or pizza. So we opted for two salads, a small pizza - nurses along with a couple of glasses of wine. The waitress did inform us that the servings were more like a Tapas serving and meant for us to try several things, which we did. The salads were small, but plenty enough to enjoy and...very different. We shared this delicious pizza, thin, with herbs - very tasty. By the time we finished the pizza and salads, I had placed an order for the Sea Bass. The Sea Bass was very good, on top of a puree of butternut squash - yummy! We did not choose for any dessert, as we were already full from the salads, pizza & Fish. Great place to go, moderately priced. Good service, too!

I cannot begin to express how thrilled I am that a kick ass italian restaurant opened on my block. Elated, overjoyed and soon to be more overweight. The drink menu was expansive and well selected. Food was top notch and the atmosphere was lively and vibrant without being too loud. They recommended 3-5 plates for a table of two. My table of 3 got 7 plates and it was A LOT of food, we definitely underestimated the size of their "tapas". Only downfall was our server seemed very "uninterested". I'm not saying you have to roll out the red carpet, but don't be mad if I ask to taste a wine ;-) I will be back soon!

AND.....Another winner! Went here last week and enjoyed every bit of our experience including the open doors on a cool summer-like evening. lol. even though it's October. We had the bone marrow bruschetta which was different but absolutely delicious...warm and decadent. It's like God's butter. We also split the prosciutto pizza...fresh ingredients with a great crust. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable...GREAT wine list.

Was here last night (9/12/2013) for the soft opening with high expectations based off my love for the Stone Rose, Bar Lucca's sister restaurant in Conshohocken. My expectations were exceeded. The transformation from Totaro's (previously at this location) to Bar Lucca is incredible. The ambiance, decor and attention to detail with all the finishing touches was something you would expect in Center City not necessarily in Conshohocken. From the bar tops to the bathrooms, everything seemed of the utmost quality in finish. There are some really cool seating areas throughout the bar including: - Bar top seating with an open view into the kitchen where you can actually see the chefs at work; including their custom made wood-fired brick oven. - Open window/door seating on the patio for when the weather is nice. - A large 'tasting room' in the back with what looks like private seating for at least 12. Since it was a soft opening they only had their pizza and appetizers available - which happened to be free for the night so I can't comment on prices - but looking at the menu seemed on par with the type of restaurant. The pizza was excellent - I would compare it in size/crust to something like Barbuzzo - Thin/Crispy, just the way I like it. I would highly recommend the prosciutto pizza and the pizza with the chili's with oil (though hopefully you're okay with spicy). As for apps, the meatball appetizer was terrific as was the thin sliced sirloin (it is seared in the brick oven for something like 30 seconds). Both were cooked to perfection. The service was very good for just being opened and I would imagine it only get better and better as the staff gets more and more comfortable. Can't wait to go back and try the full menu!

We had the best NYE dinner here! The food was soo yummy! Forte pizza, bucatini, Chanterelle Bruschetta,Burratta, and basil shortbread were are favorites. Great prices for amazing food. And the drinks (moscato and peach Bellini) were delicious and the service was fantastic!! Service is a deal breaker with me...even if the food is amazing, if the service is bad, I won't go back. Our waitress was super attentive but not annoying. Our drinks were always full and I never felt like I was "looking for my waitress." The entire staff was friendly! Definitely our new favorite Conshy restaurant :)

One of my favorites. Go here about once a month and I haven't had a meal here I didn't love. The wild boar pizza on the happy hour menu is fantastic. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and flavors! The burrata, bucatinni, and duck are awesome!

Two hours and we just got our 2nd course of a 3 course meal. Five people of our 14 people have left without waiting for their meal. They couldn't stay any longer. The octopus was so chewy we couldn't even eat it. Our server hasn't appeared for the past hour. Will never come here again. Their excuse is that it's a restaurant week! Our first and last visit.

Yum! Husband and I ate here last night, around 7pm on a weeknight. The interior was mostly full of the after-work crowd and couples/groups in their 50s-70s, everyone dressed up more than we expected. We were seated on their nice patio quickly. Some patios are cramped; this was quite lovely, and we enjoyed the Conshy locals running by and the views of the homes across the street. We started with the octopus app special: 4 large tentacles grilled/blackened on viniagrette potato slices. Really good and cooked just right; meaty not rubbery. DH had the rabbit on parsnip puree with roasted tomato sauce/puree. It was very good, and we are both bunny-for-dinner fans. Entree portions were smaller than expected, although really they were the right size to actually eat and not stuff yourself. They were priced accordingly: Meat entree prices were only $14-$19, pizza/flatbreads were $10-$16, and appetizers were $6-$11 or so. 2 entrees and an appetizer was the right amount of food. Anyway, I chose braised veal risotto, and again, I was surprised at how small it looked, but veal and risotto are quite rich, so I really enjoyed it and really didn't want any more. Menu is finite: about 6 choices for each category, and 3 kinds of homemade ice cream for dessert, the Nutella doughnuts, and a cheese platter. Draught beer choices were imbalanced: Fin du Monde (never seen it on tap!) and 6 different IPA varieties. Their beer list was unusual and limited to perhaps 12 bottles: I was able to get a nice coriander Avery wheat beer. We would definitely go back; our server was really friendly and attentive; forget her name; she was a bit bohemian.

Was really looking forward to eating here, given a number of good write-ups from both Yelpers and Philly.com . Have to say I came away pretty disappointed. Here's an overview. Who: the Fam: 2 Adults, 2 Kids What: The Prosciutto pizza ($14), a rustic pasta dish called Matrigliata (I think, $14), Meatball sub (~$10), and 2 glasses of unaoked Grenache (Spanish...~$10 each) Where: Conshohocken When: Saturday at 1:30pm Why: We were hungry...duh. The Prosciutto pie was quite good, with a cheese blend that included some gorgonzola I think. The crust was nicely blacked but was, frankly, and bit doughy. The pre-meal bread suffered from the same issue. Very good crust..well cooked, but very dense and doughy. The pasta was a good in concept but was poorly executed. The chanterelles and blistered tomatoes were really good, but the pasta (rustic pappardelle) was inconsistently rolled and was, thus, unevenly cooked. The sauce it was served in was a brown something.... All in all, this dish was a too heavy, and too heavy-handed. My daughter also order some buttered pasta, which she liked. Meatball sub was nicely done and served with rosemary fries. It was a bit spicy, but my son really liked the meatball.. The unoaked Grenache was quite good. So, a disappointing lunch...Total bill was ~$75, plus tip. Just simply not worth the money

I heard this place was supposed to be a good Italian place with good pizza and pasta. I guess if you have never been to Italy you would like the food here. I did not. There are better options in Conshi.

I had dinner with 3 of my girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere is great and I loved that they had parking! We all ordered a bunch of different things to share. Here are the highlights (which was pretty much everything) the burrata is amazing, I am not a huge fan of tomatoes but the tomato salad that goes on top of the burrata is to die for, its sweet and tart and just too good to put into words. I will be ordering every time i go! Next up was the mushroom bruschetta which was also lovely. It was served warm which I really enjoyed. We split 3 of the pasta dishes which were great, you can tell that the noodles are homemade and the texture is divine. We also shared two pizzas. The fennel sausage and the tartufo (mushroom), both were great although at that point I was getting overly stuffed. The pizza crust was very thin and crisp. They knew it was my friends birthday so they brought out limoncello shots which was fun! I highly recommend this place, I can't wait to go back and try more things!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out since it's new and we had heard good things. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was great, very attentive about drinks and checking that we liked everything but not annoying. We were hungry so we ordered 5 things all to share. We had clams, strawberry and prosciutto salad, bone marrow bruschetta, pappardelle with wild boar ragu and prosciutto pizza. All of them were delicious! My favorite was the the strawberry prosciutto salad and the pizza. The food was simple, fresh and well done. The timing of all the plates was also good we didn't have to wait for a long time but didn't feel rushed. The only reason I took one star off was that it was a really busy night at the bar and as a result it was SO loud. We had to speak pretty loud to hear each other and our poor waitress, who was tall, had to bend down all the way to the table to hear what we were saying.

We came strictly for the pizza and we're not disappointed, it was fantastic. Mortadella and prosciutto pizzas were fresh and made with only a few simple ingredients. There was nothing fancy about this pizza, it's a bit rustic, the way it should be. The pizza was clearly done at a very high temperature in a wood burning oven, as the crust was beautifully charred. As for toppings, they were used sparingly, so all could be tasted without being overwhelming and sloppy like other local pizzerias. We've always loved the pizza at Pepperocini, but this has upped the ante in Conshy. Will be back the next time I crave pizza that's done right.

WOW! What a nice little surprise! Walked in on a saturday night - atmosphere was great, dimly lit but lively - crowd 25-40's. We sat at the bar and ordered the Aglio pizza (really, really tasty - capicola, broccoli rabbe and ricotta - served with a spicy chili oil and fresh herbs), branzino (good but nothing special) and bone marrow bruschetta - YUM. Sat at the bar, bartenders were very friendly and on top of the service. Will definitely be returning!

Better than expected! I randomly ended up here on my birthday a few nights ago with my boyfriend for a few drinks apps and a pizza. Great atmosphere. The pizza with broccoli rabe was to die for, we left no crumbs. Enjoyed an arugula salad with a great lemon dressing and an order of their bruschetta (amazing breads and includes a pesto sauce-YUM!). Save room for the Nutella donuts for dessert!

Met some friends at bar lucca for dinner on a Friday night. After a 2 hour drive that should have been 20 minutes, I had high hopes. Sat at a 4 top in the bar area. A little busy foot traffic but we dealt with it. We started with the meatballs, bucatini and bruschetta. Meatballs with the sauce and mozzarella were pretty good. The bucatini was awesome! Would have liked that one on a huge platter (just for me). The bruschetta was a little burned but the toppings had some good flavor. Followed that with the Margherita pizza and the veal risotto. The pizza was pretty good. I was not a huge fan of the risotto. I usually love veal but it seemed under cooked. The 3 bottles of the super Tuscan wine were really good. Overall a very good meal. I will definitely be back to try some new items, a solid 3 1/2 stars

We ate here last night with a group of 6. We were very eager for our first visit to this new restaurant. I'm a big fan of the owners other restaurant in town The Stone Rose. Bar Lucca did not disappoint. The newly renovated building looked great and has large sliding windows that were open out front. Should be a nice spot for happy hour. This is a small dish style restaurant that and is perfect for sharing many different items. We started with a Pherro salad, arugula salad as well as stuffed meatballs. Can't go wrong with the meatballs. They come out in servings of 3 - so we ordered 3 plates of the meatballs. Next up we ordered 2 pizzas. The thin crust was perfect and had that nice wood burning oven taste. Can't remember which two we had but they were both good. We then had a couple of the pasta dishes - pappardelle and also fettuccine. I'm Italian and very picky when I eat pasta. This was absolutely homemade and was melt in your mouth perfect. Can't wait to try the other pastas! Last dishes included veal risotto, duck, and the steak. All were good but the veal risotto was definitely my favorite. It sounds like we ordered a lot but it was actually perfect for our group of 6. I did save some room for desert and had the Nutella donuts. Wow - it was awesome. Basically it is a bowl of donut balls that I think are fried and served warm. When you bite into the donut it is filled with chocolate Nutella. Oh my! Can't wait to get back for more!

Cool tapas restraunt, our server was excellent, we initally ordered 5 tapas plates, which we had to cancel off our last because we were stuffed. Buff Mozz meatballs = awesome, pizza with the spicy olive oil that yo udrizzle over it was great. Overall great experience, service and food.

Went last night. Huge fan of Stone Rose and Italian food so very excited about this place. Amazing food! They say it's tapas style but for me it's more like traditional italian style where one person can easilly eat and app, pasta and entree. Good portions and fair prices. The arugula salad was one of the best salads I've ever eaten. And the fresh pappardelle was perfect. Also amazing pizzas. Only problem was the service. They were very slow bringing drinks (we would watch the drinks sitting at the bar waiting to be picked up for 10 minutes) and one of our pizzas was too burnt and they seemed a little annoyed to take it back. They just opened so I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll improve. I can't wait to go back and try more stuff!

Wow talk about a treat. As my friends and family know I am a bit of a foodie. Part of my job (a great part) is taking customers out for fine dining. I am looking forward to doing that here as well. There were six in our party and we were served by Erica. We were promptly seated and served beverages and fresh hot bread with dipping plates of olive oil. We ordered several appetizers. Stuffed meatballs - Awesome Steamed Clams - Awesome Strawberry and Prosciutto Salad - a new and interesting taste (very good) Arugula Salad - Good The we had our entrees. Sea Bass - so good the plate was clean Pappardelle - You can never stress how good homemade pasta is and the sauce was outstanding. Wood Fired Prime Sirloin - A very nice dish. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sunchoke puree was a first. A tuber reminiscent of potato. With a nice garlic taste. Braised Veal Risotto - While we shared food this was the dish I ordered. The veal was very tasty and the risotto was yum. Margherita Pizza - We had to have brick oven pizza. I have personally enjoyed brick oven pizza from Pisa to Rome to Rhodes and this pizza ranked right up there with authentic taste and thinness of the crust. I can't wait until they add a Capricciosa Pizza. If that should happen I may have to be a weekly patron (I live an hour and a half away). This wouldn't be complete without a review of the building itself. What an amazing change from the way it was. It is evident that the owner Bria Pieri spared no expense in ensuring that the customer feels at home. Ample seating and several dining areas, inside, outside and upstairs. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I saw owner Brian working hard expediting the food and helping to ensure food was delivered to the tables. He was seconded by his fiance Christina and together with the manager they keep things moving smoothly. Surprisingly we were all full and did not have room for dessert but the next time I am there I will make room.

New Year's Eve at bar lucca was great! The price fixed menu was very interesting with variety and the portions plentiful. Of course everything was cooked and presented to perfection. We keep coming here and are never disappointed. Brian and Christina do a wonderful job helping make conshohocken one of the go to places to dine, Nick d.

What a huge improvement over Totaro's . Food is excellent , Daniel , our server was amazing ! Only reason I left out a star is the acoustics were bad - if they fix it , they will have a huge hit in Conshy!

3x is far from a charm! I really want to like this place as the ambiance is great but after waiting 7 months for them to work the kinks out this weeks experience was the worst. Opted to dine at the bar with a friend that has not been and ordered from the HH menu. Strike 1 - I had to ask for the HH menu at 5:30, was not displayed. All the restaurants in the area have specials and advertise, majority of bartenders promote/encourage at competition. My asking did not appear well received. Guest arrives, we reviewed both menus and opted to order from the HH specials. Strike 2 - bad prosecco, description sounded delightful but it was flavorless with excess bubbles- more like a dry brut. Disappointed in the unfriendly staff & lack of bar crowd we decide to just share a pizza over another drink and go to one of the other great restaurants in the area. Wishing we would have left immediately! We opt for the next drinks to be off the main menu & the HH menu offers a great deal on the Margarita Pizza. Strike 3 - bad chianti. Heavy vinegar odor & flavorless. Didn't send it back as I recalled from my previous visits the red wine selection is horrible flat/bland. Had a few sips hoping it would improve as I dined but it did not, left it. Whoever does the ordering has a poor palate or buy discounted wines to get a high markup. Leaning towards the palate as I have had chianti at $4 a bottle more drinkable than this. Next the pizza... was not soggy like my other dines but was just ok. Mostly crust which was now thicker, rolled and the majority of the pie. Felt like I ordered bread sticks as I spent majority of time dipping the crust into oils provided. Sauce was not robust in flavor and overall pie was just ok to the bland side. I read the reviews here on the pizza and baffled folks feel its delish especially in a city with so much competition in the category. Would be interesting to hear what they are comparing it to. So many far better pizza & flatbread options in the area - looking for an OMG Yummy Delish pie try - Isabellas, Pepperoncini or Stella Blu to name a few. Strike 4 - We are Outta here ! the Check.... without looking at total detail 1st thing that jumps out is the price of pizza $13 vs $8 HH so I call grumpy over and bring to his attention. With a grunt removes and gives us the check back to then notice the Proseccos also full price $10 vs $6. The horrible service just intensified as it put the customer in an awkward position of complaining or seeming cheap. Plus taking more time to leave. A couple bucks but to me it was principle and as I was attempting to flag him down my friend felt uncomfortable. So we agreed that because they were definitely trying to make more $ in tips and service was horrible. We left 10% vs our standard 20% as the $ difference was comparable. Exited & will never be back. Over the months, coworkers, friends and family have been and there are no fav reviews like on this site. They either agree bad or that its adorable & food just ok. Also menu very limited, no specials and in 7 months no refreshing updates. Give it a year and Bar Lucca will be out of business. Save your $ and dine somewhere else.

We have been to Bar Lucca a few times since it opened. The open air, Mediterranean feel makes every seat in the house great. The atmosphere and buzz are active and fun. The wood fired, full brick, pizza oven catches your eye and makes the place pop. The tapas sharing gives you the opportunity to try many things on menu. There is not a bad thing on the menu. Our favorites are the stuffed meatballs, clams, meat and cheese boards, the prosciutto pizza and the Nutella doughnuts for dessert. We definitely recommend and will be back.

Went here tonight for my Mom's birthday. The decor is very welcoming, nice ambiance. The front sliding doors were open, so it let the air in, it was a nice evening, so it was welcome! The food is SO fresh, handmade & delicious... we were all very impressed. We shared the arugula salad, it had farro, roasted tomatoes & onion slivers, delicious! Then we got a Margherita pizza, amazing! Nice & light, thin & crispy.. perfection! It came with a hot oil & diced oregano to sprinkle on top.Bread was also served, it was warm & homemade & came with a delicious olive oil dipping sauce. I ordered the branzino which came with couscous, it was crispy & moist, cooked to perfection. My husband also ordered the branzino & loved it. My sone got the veal risotto, also a big hit, My Mother ordered the sea bass with pureed sweet potatoes and zucchini "noodles". Everything was delicious.... we had the pistachio gelato for dessert, they gave it to my Mother for her birthday with a candle in it.. she loved it..... They even comped it which was very thoughtful & generous.. Everyone made us feel welcome.... it was wonderful. We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner, nice selection to choose from, at very reasonable prices.... Can't wait to go back! Thanks for a wonderful evening..... High quality food, ambiance & service!

I have eaten here twice - the first time was the week after they opened and I think they were working out some kinks in the service. Re-visited last week (once for lunch the other for happy hour) and not only has the service really improved, the food is great. The pizza is amazing. Very different than a traditional pizzeria, the crust is great and you can tell that all of the ingredients are fresh. Not sure what makes the pizza so damn good - the ingredients for the dough, the way it is cooked.....whatever it is, they are doing it right. Happy hour crowd was great as well. A welcome addition to the Conshy dining scene.

When it comes to dining in the restaurant, the food is great and the service is fantastic...then I ordered take out. Unfortunately the "it will be ready in 20 minutes" became 38 minutes and me waiting around at the hostess stand.

Our first time at BAR LUCCA and it will not be our last - even if we typically shy away from small plates. From the moment we entered - a cheerful hostess seated us at a table serviced by a very personable Kann. He was attentive and his recommendations were good ones. It is a real plus when the person has personally tried menu items and can give an objective opinion. The veal risotto was ample and delicious with complex flavors and enough veal in just about every forkful. The Margherita pizza having a (perfectly not too) thin crust was also very good and served with a chili oil on the side. Not a big fan of spicy hot, but after a little taste test, found it to have just the right amount of a flavorful heat that beckoned for a few more dips of the nice, chewy crust. Ending our meal was a delightful dessert of nutella benets, after dinner Amaro and an equally pleasant conversation with the manager, john. His experience in numerous restaurants showed in the quality of how this restaurant took care of its customers.

This is the new place in Conshy that is always packed! Finally my husband and I were able to stop by and see if they had availability on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was very noisy, not that this is a complaint...it reminded me of being in the city - packed bar, every table filled, and hustling wait staff. Guests were having a great time. We had the stuffed meatballs, fall tortellini special, potato soup, pappardelle, rabbit, and gelato with Nutella donuts for dessert. Our favorite dishes were the pappardelle and rabbit. VERY DELICIOUS. The meatballs were tough, and the tortellini dish was dry. We ended the night with the pumpkin gelato and the Nutella doughnuts...WOW. very delicious. We are excited to go here again, however we will have to make sure to plan in advance as this place is Conshy's new hot spot for dinner.

Absolutely delicious with top notch staff. We had Brian as our waiter and he was knowledgable, personable and sweet (had a delicious non. Alcoholic martini made for me when I mentioned I was pregnant). He timed everything so we constantly had delicious plates of food in front of us at all times. It was a carefully orchestrated feast, all conducted effortlessly by him. I think we tried a little of everything and the sea bass, sirloin, meatballs, clams (save some salt loaf for broth dipping) and duck were my favorites. I realize that's 5 things but I couldn't narrow it down :). Cheese boards and wine and shareable (but generously sized) small plates make it interactive and cozy for a romantic date and also great for families and groups. A delightful experience made even better by excellent staff. I also found the bill to be very reasonable and have paid double for much less and food that was not nearly as delicious at similar places (we got 5 plates, a cheese board, dessert and a few drinks for around 100 before tip for 2!). Thank you! We look forward to returning.

Bar service from Timmy was fantastic however the food selection could be much better. It needs more diversity, some things that are appealing to the average customer, and something that would help make it a place that could attract regulars.

Amazing! Best restaurant in Conshohocken by far (Although StoneRose is another favorite of ours as well, and also the owned by the same person...so that obviously makes sense!). Is it "perfect"...no. But, no restaurant ever is, and especially not within the first few months of opening. Twelve (12) of us dined at Bar Lucca on a Saturday night. We decided to book the Chef's Tasting Table and dined upstairs in the private dining room. The room is very simply designed, as it is extremely focused on the "table" itself (from what we learned from our server, it was handcrafted by a local woodworker and is quite the piece) which is exactly how a tasting room should be in my opinion. No additional glitz or glam. Just a great table and some ridiculously good food - which is exactly what it was. The Chef's Tasting menu was served family style, with the dishes preselected by the host of our party ahead of time. A special events coordinator set up the reservation details, so all we had to do was show up, drink some wine, and eat to our hearts content. The antipasti was perfect, with wonderful cheese selections and accoutrement to pair with it. The 20yr aged balsamic and Ligurian olive oil on the table was a great touch that everyone was enamored with. The pizzas were very good, and with just a little bit of tweaking over time they will be elevated to phenomenal status. It does not get any better than a wood fired oven! It makes all of the difference. The pastas were flavorful with authentic flavors that brought many of us back to our recent trip to Italy. Excellent work! The only thing we would have liked to see was a little more "tooth" to the pasta (more authentic Italian "al dente" style) but other than that, we were very very happy. The Italian beer and wine selections were off the charts. Great craft beers from Italy (which are not cheap by any means, but worth the price of admission) and the wines are at a fair mark-up with very interesting varietals to choose from. A lot of thought went into this beverage program for sure and we certainly appreciated it. Overall, everyone had a great time and definitely raved about it for days afterwards. The service was extremely professional and on point, the atmosphere and setting were perfect, and the food was great. What else could you ask for? Definitely recommend the Chef's Tasting Table at Bar Lucca. Can't wait to go back...

Outstanding! Everything was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and the service was great! A cozy atmosphere with reasonable prices and absolutely delicious food. Doesn't get much better than this!!! My hat's off to you Bar Lucca! You guys are doing a great job and it's nice to find a place that serves outstanding food! Will be back on the 21st for my family holiday dinner. I can't wait!

I've read almost all the reviews and am surprised that no one has mentioned the noise level at Bar Lucca. In a word, it was "unbearable." We were told that panels are being installed in the ceilings of both the bar and downstairs dining room, that some already were completed and that within two weeks, the job should be finished. Because we enjoyed the food so much and received such excellent, friendly service, we'll give it another try, perhaps requesting to be seated upstairs. But as much as we loved the food, it isn't worth it when you walk out the door with your ears ringing from the decibel volume. And this on a Tuesday night!!!

Recently visited this new restaurant in Conshy. Grew up in the area and am always looking for a new spot. I am glad I tried Bar Luca, as the food and night couldn't have been any better. First off the food was amazing. We shared a number of plates and each one was better than the last. My favorite dishes of the night were the Fennel Salad, Bucatini and the Forte pizza!. The pizza was actually my favorite of the night, perfectly done and exactly how I wanted my perfect pizza to taste. Our server, John was unbelievably AMAZING!!!! He was so knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. We really felt that he truly wanted us to have an enjoyable experience. He was super friendly and made our night wonderful...I would absolutely request him on my next visit! If you are looking for a great meal with friends, check out Bar Luca. It is great if you enjoy food and want to taste many different things. The only thing I would say was a slight negative, was the noise. It just seemed extremely loud and was hard to have a conversation without yelling. It was very busy, which certainly plays a part. I would maybe try and sit upstairs the next time if I wanted a quiet dinner, otherwise the noise is not a bother with a large group of friends just eating and drinking. I will definitely be back! TIP....TRY THE NUTELLA DONUTS....YUM!!!

I have been here for both lunch and dinner and can not wait to keep going back! What a facelift this restaurant received from the previous owners, its open air concept and open kitchen is outstanding. It is such a fresh new idea that has taken the conshy restaurant scene to another level. The food is equally as amazing. I loved it the first time, and liked it even more the second time. Love the small plates concept and it is a great opportunity to get a taste of everything on the menu. For starters the stuffed meatballs and bruschetta are incredible (my favorite was the stuffed meatballs). All the pastas are great, they are all homemade and fresh, for those "true Italians" these are spot on, my 2 favorites are the papparadele and bucatini. Who doesnt like fresh homemade brick oven pizza? I have tried 3 of these, my favorite is the Coppa, altho u can not go wrong with any of them, they are truly amazing and some of the best pizza in all of philadelphia, truly italian style. I have not tried all of the entrees but we did have the wood fired sirloin and it was great, i intend to try to rabbit on my next visit and hopefully the duck as well. For desserts we had the pistachio gelato and probably my favorite thing yet the Nutella Donuts, they are a must try and best dessert i ever had! The wine list and craft beers are also a great perk and the whole atmosphere is fantastic, it really is stepping up the game in conshy and a great spot to just grab drinks even if your not hungry. Cant wait to go back!

I randomly stopped by Bar Lucca for drinks with colleagues while on my way to dinner a few weeks ago. The atmosphere seemed fun and the food smelled delicious. The bar scene was classy but lively. I vowed to return for dinner-which I did last night. My date and I were seated on the upper level which contained it's own bar (convenient), separate restrooms and side farmers table for larger parties. Our waitress took our drink order and offered bread for the table. The bread arrived and we soon discovered it to be overly salted and uneatable. When we questioned the waitress, she informed us they served a 'salt loaf.' Under her breath she let us know she personally found it too salty as well. We ordered meatballs and a cheese board for our first course. The meatballs were quite good. The cheese tray with 'seasonal fruit' appeared soon after the meatballs and was left on our table without an overview of the cheese on the board. In additional the 'seasonal fruit' was a single strawberry sliced in half. While not only lacking in quantity, strawberries are not seasonal for December! For our second course we ordered the Pappardelle with Wild Boar Ragu and Braised Veal Risotto. While the pasta was good, the ragu could have easily been made with ground beef. There were no textures, tastes or cues that Wild Boar was actually in the dish. The Risotto also fell flat and appeared 'gray' in color. While not bad-I agree it was missing 'something.' Bar Lucca has a reputation for pizza. We decided to round off our meal with a simple Margherita pizza. We again were disappointed. The sauce was 'average,' dough salty and the extremely thin slices of mozzarella could NOT have been buffalo mozzarella as indicated on the menu. My date and I (both solid home cooks and well traveled foodies) agreed every course was overly salted. We mentioned this to our waitress as well as the hostess on the way out. Everyone smiled politely. I would like to try Bar Lucca again to determine if our experience was normal-or we simply dined on an 'off night.' In closing, I should add the staff was friendly, the ambiance very 'Restoration Hardware' (...if you get the reference!) and the prices quite reasonable. If the food was as good as the ambiance-I would have called this a neighborhood gem!

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner at Bar Lucca on Saturday night. We had a reservation and we were seated as soon as we walked in. First we shared the Baby Arugula salad with gorgonzola and Calabrian chilies. We both liked the salad but those Calabrian chilies are spicy, so if heat is not your thing, you may want to pick a different starter. Our server brought good bread and olive oil while we waited for the salad. She also brought the martini I ordered. I'm pretty specific about how I like a martini, and this one was exactly right. Next up was a very good Margherita pizza. Our server recommended the Sea Bass, so we decided to share that as well. It was the highlight of our meal. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The fish was cooked perfectly. The parsnip and butternut squash puree and zucchini that accompanied the fish were so good I wanted to lick the plate. We finished the meal with Nutella donuts, and they, too, were a highlight. Our server was helpful, friendly, and attentive. The pacing of the meal was exactly right. And the setting was just right. Other Yelp reviewers gave the impression that the restaurant is too loud, but I didn't have any trouble hearing my dinner companion or our server, and we were seated downstairs. We're both looking forward to going back to Bar Lucca!

Somebody forgot to tell the kitchen to rinse the clams! My clams with white beans and bean broth were crunchy from grit. They were oddly tasty. How typical are littlenecks with white beans? And how many restaurants expect you to pry littlenecks from their shells with a dinner fork? No salt/pepper was at the table and no spoon was provided to taste the clam/bean broth.Oh, well... Music was blaring at 2:00 in the afternoon making it necessary to raise one's voice although there were only three tables occupied. A tall, exceedingly slender pilsner glass (hard to guess how many ounces it contained) provided a $4 room temperature pedestrian beer which wasn't so bad. Lastly, the waitress was efficient but not welcoming in the least. She would have received a 20% tip (instead of 12%) had she shown any sign of warmth. Bar Lucca is not my cup of tea. It has a limited, peculiar menu ("kale Caesar salad"?), no personality/ambience and provides comfort that borders on little more than kitchen table and chairs.

Amazing Food and Great place to eat. There are two floors with a private tasting room upstairs that Ive heard you can do a suckling pig or a whole bone in leg of lamb which is awesome and a first for Conshohocken. Service was great and our server was friendly and knew a lot about the menu. We followed the recommendation for our waiter to share and were much happier with that then if we ordered separately. We ordered the Lardo Bruscetta, The Forte pizza, The Maltagliati, and the Bucatini, then got an order of Nutella doughnuts. Everything was simply delicious. Plus, It's so nice to eat good food casually without the strict coursing. I personally like eating this way and think its a great way to try different things. I would say- follow the servers recommendations if you want to get the full experience. For only being open a few months I think this place is hands down the best restaurant of Conshohocken with very talented chef and kitchen. I am so excited for this restaurant along with thier other restaurant -StoneRose- to make Conshohocken a foodie destination.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

4 stars for the prosecco bar on the weekends! Had a lovely lunch there with a friend and we each opted for a prosecco drink- our server brought us glasses with ice and prosecco and we were directed inside to a DIY drink bar full of fruit purées, fruit juices, Italian sodas, and fresh fruit. I can't wait to go back!

Loud, mediocre food and very slow service.

The risotto is a reminder of years gone by. Welcoming staff, nice ambiance.
(5)Adam F.

(4)Tony A.
(2)Jon M.

Nice job!

My fiancé and I went here for dinner last night and we were so impressed! We had the most fantastic waiter! We forget his name but he was from Venezuela. He was so friendly and even though he had a bunch of table [the place was packed!] he made us feel like we were his only table. The tap list and drink list were great. I got so distracted I didn't even check out the wine list-next time. We got the special Neopolitan pizza... caramelized onions, some kind of meat [i forget], and a couple of different cheeses. SO. DELICIOUS. It was thin and crispy but then had a fluffy top of the crust [where you pull the slice]. We also had an order of the meatballs which were so flavorful and delicious with their salt loaf. The manager even came around to all of the tables so see how we were doing and chatted with us for a few minutes - just such a great staff! We then got an order of the Nutella donuts to take home- delish! I cant wait to go back and try more food and sit outside.

(1)Brian W.

(3)Chris M.
(5)Nihara T.
(4)Anishee U.
(4)Emily N.
(5)Matt F.
What a pleasant surprise in the middle of a blandish row house neighborhood! This place looks pretty new and is really fresh looking. Octopus was really delicious and so was the Bucatini -home made pasta! Plus full bar, plus al fresco dining. Folks, we have a winner!!!
(4)Karla F.
Came to bar Luca with my family after seeing the great reviews on here, it was amazing! We shared the fettuccine and prosciutto Neapolitan style pizza. It was absolutely delicious. You could taste how fresh everything was made I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone!
(5)Seinfeld J.
(3)Kristin N.
(4)Mary M.
Loved it. The bucatini pasta is delicious and the pizza with arugula and prosuttio is the best. We have been back to Bar Lucca several times and the wait staff is very nice.
(5)Negar M.

(4)Michelle K.

(5)Moira H.

Food was excellent, very different menu. Service was superb, the waiter made some excellent recommendations on wine and desserts. Atmosphere was great, highly recommend!

(5)Amy S.
(5)Nate B.
Update: ate there for the third time last night. Food was great. Will definitely be back.
(4)Daryl S.
(4)Kristina B.

Sorry guys.
(3)Dana S.
(3)Lu M.
(4)Ashley A.
(4)Melissa V.
Highly recommend! Shared the meatballs, arugula salad, mushroom pizza, pasta with pancetta, Nutella doughnuts. It was all fantastic! Great wine and excellent service. Fun atmosphere with a group too.
(5)Ryan W.

My Husband and I wanted to try something different for dinner and remember driving past earlier. Great choice!!!! My husband had the Farrro salad and Sirloin. I had the purple potato soup and sea bass with a squash purée with fresh greens on top. For dessert he had cinnamon swirl ice cream and I cappuccino. Everything was just perfect and we will definitely be back. Especially when the weather breaks and the windows are open. ;))

Went here for valentines day-night and was surprised we didn't have to wait at all for our table with our reservation time & they have a coat check which is always convenient. Meal started out great, we had the meatballs which were awesome and came with a sauce that wasn't the typical marinara and way better! The goat cheese-cheese board was also delicious. I ordered the scallops and my fiancé has the lamb. So this is the reason why I didn't give 5 stars, the description on the menu for the scallops entree made it sound much more than what it was. Two medium sized scallops, micro greens and a sauce. Our meatball appetizer was larger.

(5)J R.

Good food, good service, good libations what more do you want? But let's keep it a secret! Don't want too many people to find out about this terrific place. So let's keep it just between us. Okay?

(5)A S.

Tried the pizza and it is excellent!

(4)Chris G.
(4)Lauren I.
(4)Abbie W.

The food was very good. Service was good as well. Restaurant was attractively decorated and the prices were reasonable. Would recommend this.

Absolutely delicious food. Very knowledgable and attentive wait staff. I've been here several times both to eat and just to hang at the bar and always have a great experience.
