I am really, really surprised I liked this place as much as I did. As somebody who grew up going to the "old" Pechin's Shopping Village - I really was not expecting this caliber of service, food, and general ambiance. My husband went here for a work lunch, being a Pittsburgh boy - he did not remember the old cafeteria with 29 cent hamburgers and grocery store in a shack over a creek (ps, I like both for what they were - total dives). He swore up and down it was really nice and I thought he was lying -- so we went. He was right. The inside is really nice. Lots of fireman memorabilia - pictures mainly, but a display when you first go in. The light is soft and low, the walls are a deep red, and booths have their own 29 inch TV. But what about the food, you ask? Their onion rings are like blooming onions -- thin pieces of onion, fried really crisp. They were my favorite thing. My husband said his Italian Panini was really good and he liked that the dressing wasn't overpowering. I didn't try it, but it LOOKED really good. Toasted perfectly with lots of meat, cheese, and veggies. I was too busy with the Chicken Quesadilla.. It was very good. The chicken was perfectly cooked - as were the peppers. Both were cut into the perfect sizes for filling - not too fine and not huge chunks. I know that probably sound picky, but the filling didn't fall out and it wasn't a minced up mess. My kiddo got mac and cheese. It was definitely homemade and had a faint hint of spice, which I appreciated, as it cut through the richness of the cheese. We'll definitely go again.

We waited an hour for food that still never came, we walked out so I can't tell you anything about the food. This has also never happened to me in my life and I have never had to walk out of a place before.... The décor was nice and the staff was friendly.... We were told that a large group had come in but to me it still should have not taken that long, all we ordered were burgers.

The Firehouse is a favorite Sunday lunch spot for me and my gal pals. It's quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. We can laugh as loud as we like, cuz the room is full of these intimate comfy booths with their private TVs, and I personally think it works as good noise reduction. All the food is delicious. It's fine cuisine for Fayette County, but not so fine that locals are uncomfortable there. I've had so much of their large and varied menu, but I keep coming back to a few favorites: the massive plate of nachos; (they have chicken, beef, or a seafood version). Secondly, they have this insane creation, raspberry jalapeño barbecue wings. You must try them as they are sweet, mildly spicy, and have that robust BBQ flavor all in the same bite. It's incredible. They also have really great homemade perogies with several choices of fillings. This is completely unrelated, but one of the waiters looks like John Lennon. If you tell him that he'll laugh and say he gets that a lot. He, and all the rest of the staff are very friendly.

The worst experience of my life. Rude service staff, rude managers, and bartenders who don't know how to make drinks! MESS!!!

Service could be faster, but I don't go there for fast food I'm looking for good food and service and they never disappoint.

I am originally a Fayette county native. Whenever I come to the area and visit, I always make it a habit to visit Pechin Firehouse Restaurant. The food is great and the menu is quite diverse- there's definitely something for everyone. While there on my last visit in October 2012, I had the broiled salmon that comes with a nice sized salad and 2 sides. The portions are nicely sized. Also I shared the fried zucchini with friends- definitely try these, they are shaved like potato chips with a light seasoning and NOT greasy. We love our waitress Tanya for her excellent top notch service and for being so attentive, warm & friendly. The ambiance is great- comfy large booths, warm lighting, nice decor. This is a great restaurant. I highly recommend dining there!

I was in the area for work and the Firehouse was recommended to me for lunch. I had the Greek salad with chicken and french onion soup - two of my favorite things to eat. The food was really good and the service was attentive - I love good service. Only wish I'd purchased some of the homemade marshmallows to take back home with me, as they looked simply divine.
