I used to order thousands of dollars of food from here every year (i feed tons of college students). I will never spend another dime here. their customer service, after making a huge blunder, was terrible. they took no responsibility for their mistake and really didn't seem to get that taking 80 dollars worth of pizza to the incorrect location is kind of a big deal. oh well, im sure they'll be fine, but they'll never get a doller out of me.

Have not ordered from here in years, since I'm back in town for thanksgiving I was looking forward to a good cheesesteak hoagie and a pie. The pie was OK and the cheesesteak hoagie was a disappointment - only because we ORDERED American cheese on our sandwich but received a sandwich with SHARP PROVOLONE, mind you I like sharp Provo, but wanted American. The first bite is alarming and the customer service was horrible - when we called to let them know of their error, they were not friendly :(

One of the best pizza places in Collegeville, and my frequent go-to pizza joint! I don't entirely understand the issues others have had with customer service as I have never once had a problem. Quite the contrary, I've always had a good experience, both on the phone and in the restaurant. They have always made us feel welcome. Food is delicious, especially their meatball parmesan hoagie. the pizzas go from small to extra-extra large, and prices for many of their pizzas are quite reasonable. Delivery, unfortunately, can take quite a while (upwards of 45 minutes), but it's also across the street from a college, and 45 minutes is what you can expect from Papa John's. I never hear anyone complain about them, so maybe this is average for a delivery timeline. All in all, I've been very happy with Marzella's and recommend to anyone!

The first time i tried Marzella' pizza i was not impressed, we had a Veggie pizza and while it was topped very generously, it made the pizza itsself a lil soggy and lost soem of its appeal for me. Second time was a total Redemption! this time we had a plain pizza and it was very good...right amount of Cheese and sauce and the crust was delicious. So, this will definitely be my Go to pizza joint from here on. Plus the prices are very reasonable.

Food is delicious - pizza, cheesesteaks, salads, and mozzarella sticks are really good. They lost a star in our book due to terrible delivery times. This can easily be avoided by picking it up next time though!

Visited a few times a few years ago when I lived right down the street, but then found better pizza places in the area. Decent, definitely not my favorite. Drove a little further to Giovanni's in Royersford for great pizza. No wow factor with the pizza, just okay. I have not tried it in the past 2 years, so maybe they got better since the reviews seemed to really improve.

I have had many pizzas and sandwiches from Marzellas. The pizzas are consistently very very good, and the sandwiches are excellent. Cheese steaks, hoagies and meatball sandwiches are outstanding Friday night favorites. We love Marzellas.

Omg what happened to Marzellas... They used to be the WORST pizza... The the best f*#ing pizza ever... WOW!!! I'm really impressed... Great crust... Down the shore style sauce... And just yummy cheese! I'm so happy to finally after all the years living in Collegeville to finally have a really amazing pizza place!! Kudos to you Marzellas!! I'm in love xoxo

It took me a while to finally try this place but I was really impressed. I ordered a cheesesteak and wings. The cheesesteak was huge and priced pretty cheap. It was filled with meat and included tons of cheese. The Marzella's cheesesteak is by far the best one I have had in the Collegeville/Trappe area. The wings I ordered were also really tasty. They were pretty large and soaked with sauce. The hot sauce isn't too spicy but it had a good flavor. I will definitely be back to this place in the future. I can't wait to try their pizza.

My first experience is my last. As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure how the food tastes since I couldn't even get them to bring a pizza to our home! It's our second night in our new home, and wanted to try some local fare. We found Marzella's online. Unfortunately, we had no luck with the gentleman(?) that answered there, who ended the conversation with my husband abruptly, telling him that he didn't recognize our address, that we weren't close to him and they don't service near us. Assuming there must be an error, since the GPS lists them as 10 min. and only 5.5 mi away (in Collegeville - our address), I called back. A ha. Finally I got it. I was told brusquely that they wanted to wrap up early and by the time the driver got here it would be too late - I asked "a ten minute drive?" He said, well it's close to 9 now, and "with the food prep and all ...." - btw, the website says they close at ten - I mentioned that we're new to the neighborhood and this puts us off from wanting to frequent his restaurant. With a rude, 'fine by me," the conversation ended - and so did any new business from us and any of our company that comes to visit.

Let me tell you how much I ADORE Marzellas. They are the best little mom and pop pizza joint there is around this area! They use aged provolone cheese not the rubbery cheap kind that most places skimp by with. Mr and Mrs Marzella are always pleasant and are more than happy to accommodate you [i asked for pineapple and pepperoni and they GLADLY made it, and remember that it is "my pizza" that I prefer!] They rock a $1 slice special at nights, and a super large party pizza special too most of the time. Been going to Marzellas for years now and i have never had any issues or problems with them! Screw Pats, Geno's, or whoever else. They can take their nasty rubber cheese with em. I vote Marzellas for best cheesesteak any day....

This is an Ursinus hangout being located across the street from the college, but fear not the entire area has embraced this family owned pizzeria for some of the best pizza and sandwiches around. Chicken cheese steaks are awesome and $1.00 slices has helped many students get through late night cram sessions.Kind people, nice service, tasty food is the only thing I have experienced here.

I honestly love this place. I see the other reviews are a couple of years old, so perhaps a lot has changed, as I have only been going there for two years now. My girlfriend goes to Ursinus, so we frequent Marzellas. The staff is always extremely friendly to us, often catering to our (admittedly) bizarre requests, like only wanting to buy a couple slices of Sicilian pizza, opposed to an entire pie, creating boneless chicken wings, etc. etc. The prices are more than reasonable, and they have quite a variety of items to choose from (I recommend the Italian Stromboli). Will support this business for many years to come!

Went to Marzella's after a few years as there are numerous other pizza joints that are closer to our house. We ordered a large pie with sausage and peppers. What a disappointment. The whole taste, including the ingredients had changed - for the worse. For example they now use crumbled sausage in lieu of sliced pieces. And per previous comments since its located in a college town perhaps the owners do not care about the the quality of their food.

Hands down, the worst pizza place I've been to in Collegeville. I've been there 3 times and all 3 times were pretty horrible. I'm really done giving them second chances at this point. Three of my major gripes with this place: 1. Attitude: Every time I've been there to order something, the people act like I'm putting them out by being there. Let me paint you this picture.....I have money and I want to give you that money in exchange for a service. So when i order a pizza, I'd like for you NOT to look at me like I just told you to go clean my toilet. Seriously, you would've thought I had just insulted them, the look of contempt on the cooks face. Customer service is a BIG issue for me, I get really mad with places like this. 2. Food: Very sub par. Seriously folks, this is Collegeville, we have a ton of pizza joints to choose from here and the giant shopping center they are building will add more meal options. Places like Marzella's need to step up their game. I think the only reason they are still around is because they are within walking distance of Ursinus, that's it. Nothing memorable here food-wise. 3. Time: In my experience, the time it takes this place to get your meal ready is far below acceptable. I ordered a pizza once, they told me "an hour to an hour and a half" for it to be ready. This wasn't a friday night folks, this wasn't during the Super Bowl, this was just a weeknight. I told them "thanks, but no thanks" that time. Who waits that long for a pizza when I can go to any one of the several other establishments? Every time we ordered from there it took alot longer than usual. Stay far, far away, there's so much more out there folks.

I have to disagree to some points of Jumpman. The pizza is very good, made with quality ingredients. Yes, maybe some service issues. I'd say call ahead, plan ahead. But I really love the pizza, it's delicious. Yes, if you want greasy or guarantee in 1/2 hour you know where to go. Don't discount this on account of one review.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
