I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. I knew I was in for a treat but this even went beyond my initial expectations. The atmosphere is very traditional. Bigger than your standard diner car which is good because this place was busy and the extra space was welcome. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. She enjoyed her job and it came across because I had no issues with her. Great job Tabitha! Let me get to the food. We ordered the special which is two pancakes, two eggs, potatoes, and your choice of meat. My wife subbed out her eggs(she doesn't eat them) without a problem. I appreciated this as well since some places refuse to do this for her. I got a chocolate milk and she got a hot chocolate. Both drinks came out immediately and we're delicious. When the food came out our eyes opened wide. Four humongous plates of food came out and we immediately knew we were in trouble. We did our best to attack the delicious plates of pancakes but soon after starting, my wife bowed out. The pancakes are very dense and we're too much for her. She instead focused her attention to her ham, grits and potatoes. She finished most of her food without a problem, although now she looks like she is going to pass out. I devoured each and every morsel of my pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon. I looked up wanting more so I ended up getting a sliver of delicious ham from my wife. The final total? $18.75. I'm happy, my wife's happy, my wallet is happy. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast and I'm eager to return and sample the rest of their cuisine. Job well done Double D's. Job well done.

Fairly normal diner food. Always looks a little "dirty" but could be due to age and older furniture. Not our first thought when thinking diner.

Ate here today with a friend. When I entered, I thought I was upstate at the only diner in town. It has that type of atmosphere. very blue collar and very good! If you need fancy walls to enjoy your food, this place is not for you. Staff were extremely nice and our waitress was very good, even came back to the table 3 times checking on us. Food came out quickly and HOT.. Value+.. everything was good, Two People $14,,,,

Absolutely classic American small town diner fare. The food is decent, the portions are relatively generous, the service is brisk and attentive, the specials are in plentiful supply, and the prices are low. If you're nearby and hungry (and perhaps a bit strapped for cash), visit. Because, why not? You'll leave pleasantly stuffed and generously served.

Great breakfast buffet! They also provide free wifi! It looks to be the locals diner since is right before the city of Coatesville but beyond the reach of the Happy Days crowd. Any stereotypical thought of a restaurant is stitched within the walls of this place! From the diner counter with a view of the fridge containing the daily selections of desserts - to the unlimited coffee refills - the Double d is the place to be for great food at a reasonable price!

The portions to my surprise were beyond anything I could have imagined. I had the Double D Special with cornbeef and it was great so great I took some home My girlfriend had the southern fried eggs and she loved it. Our waiter was super nice and kept my coffee refilled at all times which is a bonus. The prices are great, and there specials can't be beat. The outside of the diner was kept clean, and the I side was decent nothing to go crazy for real di error style and feel, and clean. This was the closet diner room the hotel we stayed and I must say it was good choice...... I would definitely go back of I'm ever in the area again Thanks for the great food and service

Gotta love this place. Classic Diner kind of menu that has a thousand choices, and it's hard to pick your favorite. Breakfast is always amazing and the coffee keeps getting refilled. Modest breakfast buffet on Saturday mornings (with made-to-order eggs and toast if you wish). Chicken New Orleans (grilled chicken with bbq sauce, shrimp and a melted piece of swiss cheese) is a dinner fav of mine.

Okay- you need breakfast, and you are in Coatesville. I know, so shut up! This is a very decent diner, with extensive correctly prepared menu. Since smoking was outlawed, I have returned, and I truly wax poetically over the minute details that create a great breakfast. Coffee- a good brand, and plenty of it. Not bland- but flavorful. The toast? Any way you ask for it. The eggs done very right, including an excellent poached egg. Belgian waffles- the iron is ready at 6 a.m. Now- lets talk home fries. These are perfect, crunchy brownness and not greasy. Oh yeah- this is very reasonable food priced right. This is well worth the detour on your way to Lancaster County Outlets- just exit at the hospital ( the Brandywine Kennel Club) and head down the hill to Route 30. Right turn over the bridge and voila'. Voici la place de la 'Ville!
