Good food. Crab cakes are not the best but the other food in our party were amazing! Homemade homestyle food. The portions are generous and try the chili! It's amazing!!! Burgers are good and breakfast all day! Definitely take a short stop off of I-80 and you won't be disappointed!

I seem to find myself in Clearfield quite a bit for work, and the dinner options are rather limited. That's not a problem anymore though, now that I've found the Arrowhead. First off, it's a cute little place. Looks almost like it was someone's house converted into a restaurant. It's right next door to the Rodeway Inn, but still convenient to the other hotels right off of route 80 (maybe 7 minutes from that stretch). Second, the portions are ENORMOUS and cheap. The menu itself is rather huge, and there's breakfast served all day. It might take you a few minutes to figure out what you want. But once you order? Be prepared to have a box to take home for lunch the next day. I got the grilled chicken breast dinner, and let's just say... this chicken must have had to shop at the specialty bra shop. This was quite easily the largest single chicken breast I've ever seen. Very juicy and tender. On the side, I received a fresh salad, a gigantic portion of French fries, and a sizable heaping of sweet corn. YUM. (And yes, this was certainly my lunch the next day as well!) Service was great, my waitress checked on me multiple times and kept my coffee and water filled the entire time. But the best part about this two-meal portion? It was only $8.99. Value!!! With prices and quality like that, I know I've got my go-to spot whenever I'm traveling in Clearfield now.

For breakfast, I had eggs, home fries, bacon, toast. Strong cup of coffee with free refills. Very affordable for a simple and fresh hot breakfast. Friendly staff. Plenty of room. Well done! Update: homemade honey mustard if you order fried chicken. Homemade tzaziki sauce for a lamb gyro. But the gripe about this dish is that it's not fresh juicy lamb meat. It's 3 thin slices of sandwhich like meat.

Girls were super friendly and accommodating! We arrived on Mothers day without a reservation and they fit us in for the buffet. They let us know what tasty dishes were added to the buffet so that we got hot and fresh entries as we pigged out. It's definitely small town americana. Food was good. Rustic log cabin atmosphere pervades. Most action is by the counter. Worth a side trip off I-80!

This is a hard review to figure out. So let me just start like I usually do. We walked in to a plethora of knotty pine... My first thought was this place really needs a makeover. BIG TIME! We were greeted pleasantly, and sat promptly. They had a buffet which honestly, looked good, (I'm a complete sucker for fried clams and shrimp) but we decided to order off the menu. The menu was similar to any diners... Salads, Sandwiches, Breakfast, Platters, Pasta... What really stood out was the prices of everything. They were comparable to a diner I worked at 15 years ago. We had a bit of a wait after we ordered, but considering it was 6:00 pm Friday Night,,nothing too severe. When the server brought our food, we were all pleasantly surprised! Not only were the portions huge, they were very nice to look at as well. They used real turkey breast for their open faced sandwich, a freshly fried Chicken breast for their chicken parmigiana, and my steak tips over noodles was some of the best I've had in a restaurant. There were a couple of off things, the iced tea didn't taste right, they "ran out" of applesauce (currently I'm not allowed to eat fresh veggies, so applesauce is a great substitute) and like I said earlier, the place is extremely dated, which considering its across the street from a college, could turn people away. All in all, it was enjoyable, and when I'm able to tolerate more food, I'm gonna come back for Clams, Shrimp, and Mac & Cheese!

Good sized portions, pretty tasty food. Service was fair and a bit show. 1970's decor. Pretty comprehensive menu. Worth another try.

Warm, clean and friendly but a little crazy waitress . The eggs and coffee were fresh and tasty. The scrapple was packaged. I'd come back.

Stayed next door, walked over for breakfast. My wife and I both had breakfast sandwiches ("Arrowiches") with egg, cheese, bacon/sausage. Deelish. Coffee was excellent. Wait staff very friendly. Efficient. Homey place. Loved the knotty pine.

We recently had my mom's surprise 60th birthday party here. Thus restaurant is a favorite of my parents. I've only been here a few times. The past times, the food never really impressed me, however, this time I was quite impressed. We had a buffet for the dinner. The macaroni salad was very yummy! The other items are the buffet were also very good. The wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. One thing that can really be improved is the decor. Very outdated.

I went to Arrowhead on Easter Sunday for their lunch buffet with a fairly large group. We had reservations and were seated on time. Seating was a little tight but the restaurant was very busy. The food was good and a decent selection of options. It wasn't the largest buffet I have ever seen but overall it was a good experience. The ownership change was a positive move.

3.5 Stars - If you want to take a slight detour off I-80 and get away from all the chain fast food stops and all the gas station convenience stores then stop here for a bite to eat. You will need to get past the dated decor of the place first however. The food was very well prepared and affordable as well. I had the Reuben and the rest of our group had the turkey platter with vegetables, mashed potatoes with gravy, and stuffing and each of them said it was very good. The only complaint I had was that there were flies everywhere. There is a good chance there was doors or windows open and it normally isn't like that (everything was clean, bathroom, etc) so it could have just been a fluke but... no one likes to eat around flies.

We were traveling through town as part of our "history tour" and stayed at the next-door Rodeway Inn. It was quite late (after 8:00 PM on a Sunday) when we got to the motel, so we decided to skip trying to find anything else and popped in for a quick diner as we noticed the Arrowhead was still open. It turned out to be an excellent choice; we had roast beef and meat loaf, and both were delicious. I only wish we had a restaurant like this back home. We also had breakfast the next morning, which was very good, and served very quickly.

We had breakfast there on our way east. It was worth the extra few minutes off the highway. Excellent home fries, oatmeal, pancakes. Average diner coffee. Great service.

Very good, simple home cooking. Surprisingly broad menu with all-day breakfast, hearty sandwiches and dinners. Hot Turkey and roast beef sandwiches are very good. Knotty pine decor, cozy booths and large tables. Friendly service.

Pretty good and much better than the fast food chains available for I-80 travelers. Get past the uninviting location and exterior and try the Reuben. One of the best I've eaten outside big cities. Worth the slight detour from the highway sites.

Passing through town on a road trip. I feel a little let down by Yelp. Seeing all the 4 and 5 star reviews, this place seemed pretty solid. The huge portions raved about by other reviewers were nowhere to be found. I had the Reuben which comes with some lame potato chips and some pickle slices on the side. Jeez, too cheap to even have a pickle spear. I had to search hard for the corned beef as the sandwich seemed to be mostly sauerkraut. I ordered a basket of fries since any self respecting Reuben should be served with fries. You could see the reflection of the lights off these greasy, floppy, sorry spuds. Yuk. Check the fryer temp guys. On the plus side, the next morning the fries had a nice laxative effect. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. Its not their fault that the food sucked. I will not be returning.

I've been to the Clearfield area a few times on business, and when I do, I know exactly where I'm having breakfast everyday! The staff is friendly, the food is spectacular, the portions are huge and the prices are low. Make sure you try their blueberry pancakes w/bacon when you arrive and ALWAYS get a coffee to go when you're finished!
