Comparing from two years ago I can say that this place seen ghetto. For a restaurant that is located in a casino that generates millions if dollars the place was dirty. The two loungue chairs are descusting, black dirty arm rest and the bottom were following apart. Anyone can walk in and roam the place, truly don't like some dirty ass standing over me as I attemp to have a meal. The four hostess were more worried about their cell phones than what was going on. I felt bad for out bartender who seen to be doing a great job as to make everyone feel at home. No wonder why restaurants dont survive.

This is the most expensive restaurant in Harrah's casino. It will cost you about $25 -$30 per entree. I had the herb peppercorn crusted tuna and my friend had the flounder francaise. Both dishes were delicious and they came out in a timely manner. The bread was good but it was so greasy. I never had greasy sourdough bread before. I will be spending the next couple of days eating steamed food to avoid more grease. Our server was doing fine up until the end. After he dropped off our check, he took 15 minutes to pick it up. The restaurant was not crowded. He walked by a couple of times but did not look our way and before we could wave to get his attention he was gone. I started to wonder if the food was really free and the check was just a notification of how much we would have had to pay if they charged for food. He came by and was unapologetic for the wait. What started out as a good time with great food ended with frustration. Customers should not have to beg a business to take their money.

It was my first time there and my server alissa was amazing. She was very polite and recommended the cape may broil and oh boy was it a lot of food. Next time you go in ask for alissa she will take real good care of you.

The food was blah. Ordered the ribeye medium rare and a lot of it was well done. The desserts were subpar and the ricotta gelato was horrible. Save your money and go to outback.

First time here since it reopened. Now, they're 'a la carte', 20% more expensive, and the meal was not as enjoyable. Like the other reviewer (before the reopening), I previously ate the wasabi crusted sea bass, and I agree also, it was the best sea bass meal I ever tasted. For seafood they now offer king salmon and crab stuffed flounder - so common. How you go from an avant-garde meal like 'wasabi crusted sea bass' to crab stuffed flounder, and then charge hire prices is beyond me.

My husband and I ate at the Cove last night and we were beyond impressed. I did not think a PA casino restaurant would be this good. We had a seafood tower for two which was so fresh, so well prepared and presented. And then we each had prime rib. This meat was so tender I cut it with my fork. I was nervous at first because I ordered medium and it was quite pink, but it was warm and firm just like it should be. The baked potato was probably the best I have had in my life. I wish we had left room for dessert because they sounded amazing but we were stuffed. Oh, and let me talk about the service! Juan M was our server and he was the most impressive, classically trained server that I have seen in a very long time. He was knowledgeable about the menu items, made good recommendations based on our tastes, and constantly tidied up our table and checked on us throughout the meal. He went at our pace...we never felt rushed OR forgotten about...truly a talent to be able to do that. Also, the atmosphere was very nice. We listened to the piano bar and a lovely lady singer while we watched the ships come in and out of the channel. We will definitely go back! P.S. I wish there was an option between casual and dressy for the attire...business casual maybe? I wouldnt wear shorts here but it definitely wasn't all that dressy either.

I am surprised this restaurant does not have more reviews. I was here recently as part of an event, and the first thing I noticed was outstanding hospitality from everybody. The restaurant manager even came to us individually to make sure our dining experience was great. The venue is spacious and as you go in, you are first greeted by a live piano performer and a full bar area. The dining room is very comfortable, with numerous booth seating options for more dining privacy. For a restaurant attached to a casino, the food was very good - starting with the sourdough bread and cracker plate, served with salted butter and garlic-infused olive oil. The bread was very warm, fresh, and crusty, and altogether delicious. For our appetizer, we each selected the raw bar sampler, consisting of oysters, cocktail shrimp, clam, and crab claw, along with a delicious cocktail sauce and a red wine vinegar sauce. This was very good, though I felt the crab was a bit overcooked. For our entrees, both the filet and crab-stuffed flounder were cooked to perfection. They both paired beautifully with sides of wild mushroom, asparagus, and baked potato with sour cream. Although we each ordered a glass of their house white (pinot grigio) to go with the meal, which was a great pairing with the food, next time, I would probably select a better wine because this one lacked a bit of flavor. Nevertheless, the food was very delicious and I would definitely return to repeat this experience. Lastly, but not least, I must recommend their chocolate cake. It is very delicious, with layers of moist chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. While the accompanying raspberry sauce is delicious, I would probably recommend asking them to hold the sauce when ordering this dessert because the flavor kind of clashes with the chocolate cake. Other than that, great dining experience.

Went to Harrah's yesterday to watch the Horses races with my girlfriend. First time for her. We were they early so we tried the Philly Steak Shack, Who ever is running the place should understand that 2 people running PSS and Krispy Kreme is not enough. Ordered at Hot Dog with Chili and a Jersey Burger. At 1:00pm they were out of Chili, and it took 15 minutes to get food after waiting 15 minutes just to place my order. Harrahs Does Not Run these places I found out! Now after this we went to Cove after 4 and Bar was clean, Bartender "Karen" very pleasant and helpful on suggestions on what to eat and drink. The GM "Joe" came over and introduced himself. Very nice team at the Cove, We had the Home Made Braised Short Rib Rav's and Chicken over Pasta with a Balsamic Cream Sauce.

This a place to go for a quit dinner or special occasion. The filet, served Oscar style, was grilled to perfection. Started out with a blue crab cocktail of sweet, fresh jumbo crab and an onion soup of rich broth set the tone for the meal. My companion had a perfectly broiled seafood combo. Our server, Juan, was attentive yet unobtrusive.

Food: I was there with a handful of people so likely too many entrees to mention, but some of the orders included filet mignon, seafood trio and lamb chops. I think everyone enjoyed their entrees. I know I did. Apps included the charcuterie, salads and crad cocktail. The crab cocktail was very good, but their signature salad was very plain and boring. I liked the charcuterie, but others thought it lacked a bit. Service: no problems, attentive, polite and clean, but not as well versed on the menu as you might expect from a place that considers themselves a top steakhouse. Atmospher: fine. Clean. Nice open views to the racetrack and river. Misc: there is no kid's menu which isn't crazy considering it's at a casino, but worth noting. That said, I have a 1 year old son who didn't want to sit in his seat so we took him out and let him walk around near the front door taking turns watching him. The restaurant was supportive of that which I appreciated. Prices were high for my Fine, but I wouldn't make a trip to the track just to eat here.

ZERO STARS should be the rating. My Girlfriend is a Diamond Club Member with Harrahs Casino and as a gift to her for the money she spends at Harrahs she was given a $100 dinner. We decided to go to The Cove. We arrived about 30 minutes prior to closing today and were greeted by somewhat rude bartender named Karen. She seemed very unhappy that her empty bar was now occupied by us. We decided to sit at the bar as we planned for a casual dinner. We ordered 2 Crab soups, a Kobe burger, and a KC strip steak with a couple sides. I clearly told her we were starting with the crab soups. Some guy then walks up to us and says if we want to order from the raw bar then do it now because the seafood won't last into next week. We were somewhat puzzled by this. Our food then comes out with the Burger and Steak coming out first. She asked the food runner where our crab soups were and he responded they were coming. So the soups show up and she casually places our entire meal on the bar. I asked why she was putting our entire meal down at once and she says " I guess they got it all out because we're closing and they probably want to go home." I was shocked at her response. I've worked in Fine Dining and hospitality for years now and never heard anyone tell that to a patron even if they came in 1 minute before closing. I told her I found her response to be rude and that no customer should be rushed nor receive any less service because the staff wants to go home. She then called the Manager over and I repeated to him what happened. His response was "I can make the entrees go away so you can enjoy your soup." No apology, no you're right we shouldn't rush you, nothing. Karen then attempted to argue with me in front of the manager at which point he told her "Be quiet, I talk to the customers." I was appalled. I repeated to him that in all my years I've never seen a guest treated in such a manner. He then says "What do you want me to do for you?" Very rudely let me add. I responded "Nothing because we are leaving." So we walked out. Staff was totally unprofessional, the Manager needs to take a training course on dealing with clientele, the kitchen rushes patrons out if it's close to closing time, and we will NEVER dine in a place that puts their attitudes or personal agendas ahead of service. Trust I am judging from the perspective of a restaurant professional when I say this. Staff completely sucks at the cove.

We were greeted by a woman who took our drink order and gave us menus. After she brought our drinks and bread, we never saw anyone for at least a 1/2 hour. The waiter never showed up until then and didn't even apologize. He took our order and we never saw him again. The manager came to ask us how everything was, and when we told him what happened, he almost ran away. The food was good, but the service not so much.

We had dinner last night. We ordered 2 pork chop dinners, 16 oz steak and crab cake. The chops were Burnt I was very disappointed because the chops are my favorite. The restaurant was almost empty we still waited about an hour for our food. We all received our meals except for the crab cake which came out 20 minutes later. I addressed my issues with the manager whom was very nice she comped our party a round of drinks and removed the 2 chops from the bill. I hope they fix the problems because I do like the chops with asparagus!

Excellent meal! Had the wasabi crusted sea bass & it was the best sea bass that I've ever tasted. Melt in your mouth kind that is cooked to perfection . Just touched it with the fork and it flaked off easily . The taste sheer pleasure. The wasabi crust was a nice additional flavor but wasn't hot. So no worries on that. The waitstaff at the cove always warmly greet you and give you 5 star service. Nice meeting one of the chefs as well. Couldn't resist complimenting that sea bass. A top chef for sure at this place and a must try for any avid seafood lover . Our waitress guided us to the correct choice and I will come back to try that dish again. Also recommend the French onion soup, it's my new favorite.
