Since the nearest Waffle House is almost an hour away from my town, a meal at WH becomes a special treat for road trips. Part of the charm is the predictability - they all look the same and serve the same menu, no matter where you are. It's easy to forget whether you're in Pennsylvania or Florida (or 1983 or 2014) when you're sitting at that table and contemplating all of the ways you could garnish your hashbrowns. This location is no exception to the cookie-cutter experience, though I was disappointed that they had a fancy jukebox instead of an old fashioned one loaded with signature Waffle House songs like "There's Raisins in My Toast" (seriously, that's usually an actual song option). We sat right up at the counter and I ordered my favorite - the All-Star combo with a waffle, hashbrowns (smothered and covered, for sure), sausage, eggs, and a biscuit. And then I nearly died because I usually split this with my partner and was suddenly facing it alone. But I powered through. The service was quick and friendly, but the food was a little rushed - hashbrowns weren't so brown and the toppings were scant, over-medium eggs weren't quite done enough, and the waffles were a bit pale and limp. But everything tasted great, and was super-cheap, and my Waffle House desires were fulfilled... until our next road trip.

You get what you pay for. Being somewhat health conscious, I attempted to order from the "health" section of the menu. Everything was heavily salted. If you have a problems with your blood pressure, you should take this into consideration. Although, I should know better. On a positive note, the service was excellent and the waitress gave me a free chicken breast after the cook mistakenly made an extra on after misreading the order. I didn't have the heart to tell her that it was over seasoned and I ate it up. Hate to give two stars. It's all about personal preference. DO GO HERE for diner food. It's a cheap greasy spoon. We all need that from time to time.

Very friendly staff. It's not a place you go to have the best meal of your life. You go there for comfort diner food and to have a good experience watching your meal cooked in front of you. I've eaten there a lot and have had a positive experience every time.

First time at Waffle House, and I enjoy it a lot. Place wasn't all that, but food was great. Cheesesteak sandwich was very good, and chilly was great.

My girlfriend and I had never eaten at a Waffle House so while we happened to come upon one while in Chambersburg, we took the opportunity. In a nutshell the food was just poorly cooked: eggs were runny (they were sunny side up), the hash browns were soggy and the country ham had the texture of beef jerky, was discolored, and was salty as heck! I really don't want to know how long ago that pig was killed. I'm a hog; I'm called the human garbage disposal because I can usually finish what other people don't eat and I could not finish my breakfast at this place. It was that bad. On the upside, the staff was very nice and even though part of my order got screwed up, they fixed it in a timely manner. Seating is sparse so we sat at the bar, which can be a little much since you're right next to the kitchen sink where dishes get dumped and a lot of noise is made.

I'd normally be hesitant to give a Waffle House more than three stars, not because I don't love me some Waffle House but because it's just cheap diner food. That said, this was by far the friendliest Waffle House I've ever been in, and not one of the servers seemed disgruntled. Otherwise this if your standard Waffle House food and experience; cheap, filling, tasty, and kick-ass coffee.

Excellent food. Very poor service. We didn't get our drinks until after the food arrived. Order was very messed up. Overall, service was a 1 at best. Food was very good. It's a gamble.

The waffles were fluffy and delicious! I will now crave them. The service was good. The 4 Henry's were happy with the burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. Bummed they didn't have fries, only hash browns. But, the hash browns were tasty, too!
