Great! I called in an order to go and everything went smoothly. My order was ready when I arrived, pleasant service, and good prices. I also got a slice of peanut butter pie (recommended by the hostess), and it was delicious. If you're in the area visit this place and if you're not, it's worth a road trip.

Exactly what I expected for a diner breakfast. But they also have fun daily specials. The home fries were nice and crispy and the breakfast sandwich was nice and fresh.

Traveling and just stopped in for lunch. Quick and great service. Food was awesome. There are four in our party and everyone ordered something different. No complaints. French fries crisp and golden. When you add brown gravy - the Bomb If you are traveling thru Chambersburg Pa. This is a great place to eat

Best diner in Chambersburg, PA! Open 24 hours, this little gem was a much needed addition to diner style food in town. They do offer a wide range of food but so far all of it is tasty. Breakfast is typical low cost fill you up kinda food. Dinner you can choose from sandwiches and fries all the way to chicken and steak with delicious veggies. Late night is always fun as the wait staff is vibrant and food comes out quickly. A must try is the disco fries...sounds strange but so good after a good long night of partying!

Really liking the convenience of the diner. Good food and food service. Always busy, but haven't had to wait. Great for travelers. My favorite breakfast includes home fries. Hubby like chipped beef over Belgium waffles. Omelets are good too. It's nice to have a place opened 24/7 so close.

It's hard to find a morning where the Chambersburg Diner isn't busy, and if you eat there, you'll know why. Yes, it's diner food, but it's a notch above the norm. I've only eaten breakfast here, and have done so several times now. This used to be a different restaurant, and when it became the Chambersburg Diner, they remodeled. Nice, high-back booths, some tables, plenty of seating overall. A couple of big TVs, and plenty of servers. You rarely have to wait for anything. Service is friendly and very efficient. Eggs are always cooked just right, not underdone and not rubbery over-done. Home fries are sometimes a tad greasy, but nothing bad. Coffee is decent, not my favorite, but certainly not the worst. As long as it's hot, it's good. The omelets are tasty, and very large. "Cheese" is crossed off on the menus on most omelets, apparently due to costs they made that an additive. No problem for me, as I am lactose intolerant and order omelets without cheese anyway. I've never tried pancakes or waffles, but the muffins are to die for. Really, this is a superb breakfast spot. It's also great for travelers since it's right next to I-81 and near many hotels. The people who run it obviously know what they're doing, everything runs smoothly and we have always had a good experience.

I tried to stop by my favorite restaurant in the area but found it closed for the evening, so I stopped here. Meh. Chili: Beans were hard, and onions were raw. Too mild on the spice. Canned? Probably. Pot Roast: Decent slabs of meat in a Dinty Moore flavored base with minimal vegetables. Meh. Candied Sweet Potatoes: I was told the side was "sweet potato" today, so I was expecting a baked one. Instead, it was a straight from the can variant of that syrupy sweet stuff. Ugh. Salad: Just...just don't...unless you like iceberg and flavorless veggies strewn throughout. Coffee: Excellent. Go for the coffee. Or maybe to Starbucks next door and forget the rest. It's straight-up diner food for sure, but just not a good variant. Maybe their breakfasts are better than their dinners.

Very poor service, the chili I ordered was burnt and viscous , the potato skins were burnt and soggy all at once , I complained and was offered a 10% discount won't be returning all the food here sucks except the breakfast

Service was good. Food was ok. Crab cake was a lot of filler. A good bit of food for the price but left some uneaten because of less than favorable taste.

Burning and Ransoming of Chambersburg 150th July 19th....review is for the 20th. What can I say? It's a diner.....omelets are one of the standard fares and we had two. I got the Greek omelet and it included feta cheese...yummy good and no complaints. My companion got an egg beats omelet with veggies....no complaints there either. Coffee was good, service was good, and they answered my question regarding why *cheese* was scratched off their menu on MOST of the omelets listed. Apparently it is a cost thing...although, I don't see how a couple slices of cheese would equal 1 dollar which is what you have to pay extra per omelet. Accept the Greek omelet, the cheese is included. :) All in all the experience was pleasant and the food well cooked. Make a point to hit Bender's Potato Barn right next door.

We were in town for a few weeks from out of state for a family funeral and to help with estate stuff so visited the diner many times. They have a huge variety and something for everyone. The food is homemade and tastes good and the prices are reasonable too. And to make the experience even better, the staff is really nice and accommodating too! Several members of our family are vegetarian so it was nice that the entire group could go to one place and everyone could get something that worked for their dietary needs!
(4)Jessica P.
Great service! The French toast is perfectly made with thick cut slices and severed hot. The only negative thing is now they don't offer cheese on their omelets, you have to request it and pay extra. ( the menu has all the omelets with cheese scratched off!)

14 members of our family visited the Chambersburg Diner last Saturday evening for a birthday party dinner. We've been hearing some great things about Chambersburg Diner, and our experience proved to be consistent with others. The menu at Chambersburg Diner is HUGE, and the servings are very generous. Nearly everyone in our party had a dinner that came with a salad, and the wait staff synchronized the delivery of all the salads at one time, so we weren't sitting there wondering when ours was coming. The same was true of our meals. The quality of the food was excellent - no complaints from anyone in our party. And, you get a lot of food for your money. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the break from getting up and down to visit the buffet again. The atmosphere is definitely that of a diner, but more with a comfortable, hometown feel. I'm sure this place is popular with all the locals. The wait staff was wonderful and setup all the tables, high chairs, and booster seats that we needed. They were also very attentive to our requests, and they tolerated multiple checks spread around the table, all while listening to little kids chattering. Our family is spread out from Carlisle to the suburbs of DC, and we frequently get together in the Hagerstown / Chambersburg area for family meals. It's nice to know we have another family-friendly option instead of the usual Ryan's, Hoss's, Golden Corral, etc. We had a great experience, and we will be back!

We're out-of-towners and we needed something open late. Found this place right next to our hotel and was greeted by very welcoming staff. We ordered chicken soup, a fruit bowl, and turkey club sandwich and was not disappointed at all! Very fresh and tasty! Would definitely come again!!
(5)Jen K.
We love love love coming here. It is diner food at its finest. The omelets are great! I love the turkey club for dinner. The turkey isn't just thin lunch meat but rather thicker slices of actual turkey breast. The place is cheap and clean. Service is good. Open 24 hours. Can't go wrong.

Do not eat the burgers. My son was sick within minutes after eating. Management was dismissive . Under cooked and greasy. Would not even give me a business card in case we had to goto hospital.

This is one of the few places open 24 hours in Chambersburg so we came here for a late dinner after seeing a play at the Capitol Theatre. The waitress was exceptionally friendly. It was a pleasure to have her wait on us. The food was good and quickly served. I had to add a lot of salt to my egg salad sandwich but it was fresh and nicely presented.

Had a nice breakfast at the newest diner in Cburg. The western omelette that I ordered had a very nice flavor and if you like cheese the cook was very generous. Homefries were nicely browned. The coffee was a little too strong it took a lot of cream and sugar to cut its bitterness. The server did her very best. I would've preferred if she automatically refilled my coffee instead of asking if I wanted a refill and taking a few minutes to go and get the pot. For a Monday midmorning the place was fairly busy but they were on top of their kitchen. Since opening last week they've been a consistently busy which is always good sign. Each day between 6 AM and 10 AM they offer a breakfast for $1.89 Prices are reasonable diner prices and the food is consistent for quality diner food. The only peculiarity is that their credit card machine was down.

Looking for some great comfort food? Look no further. This place has everything and everything is good. Prices are right, and the service is excellent. We had to stay in Chambersburg for nearly two weeks, and ate here half a dozen times. Consistently good across the board, and a varied enough menu that you can get something different every time. Their fries are incredible - crispy, golden and battered. Their breakfast wraps are yummy. Veggie burgers? Very nicely done. Fried egg and cheese sandwich? Cheap and nearly as good as I can make at home. Home fries are great. I break my vegetarianism for two things - crab cakes and fried oysters. Had the crab cake sandwich and was just delighted. Go to this place if you find yourself in Chambersburg.

So so. It's great that Chambersburg now has a 24 hour diner. Food is good, but seems to be more of the pre-purchased and recooked variety. Service is great...never had a bad server.

I quit going to this restaurant because they don't have a clue what customer service is!!! Their food is nothing to write home about either! Their food is below average!!
(1)Kimberly S.
Everything has been very good the few times I've eaten here. Staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.
(4)Thomas S.
The food was average for diner food. I am a chef and for the life of me cannot understand why the wait staff tell me the food is made fresh from scratch like for example mash potato's and the deserts. These items, though told made there from scratch, were instant potato's and store bought pies and cakes. This again is very irritating and lying to the customer. The food again is average and okay. This was our second visit and we will come again but if I'm told (even though I don't ask) that its made from scratch there I'm calling them out!

Recently ate breakfast here for the first time. The food was pretty good. I ordered pancakes and sausage patties. I was disappointed when the server brought me "syrup" in a plastic pre-packaged cup. My wife ordered the diner platter that included pancakes with strawberries, "home fries", eggs, and a side of scrapple. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order. The home fries were more akin to fried potatoes I ate as a child growing up in Tennessee. The servers were friendly and pleasant. Paying for my meal was a little annoying. We waited for quite some time at the register because they did not have enough workers available to assist the new customers as well as the people needing to pay. We will eat here again, although I probably won't order the pancakes since I prefer actual maple syrup.

I had a very pleasant experience here. My boyfriend and I both got a very tasty meal and the portions were huge and for a cheap price! The place was spotless and the staff was polite. We are definitely planning on stopping by next time we are in the area.

I've been here twice in the last month and have been relatively pleased both times! My first visit was the best of the two, for sure! Our waitress was AMAZING! She was super attentive and on the ball! Our homefries were perfect! My second visit was pretty good, but our waitress this time didn't seem very enthused and was a bit slow. Our homefries also weren't done as asked. All in all, this is a pretty great place and I plan on returning!

I went here once with my hubby and son and we got breakfast. nice servers but the food is just your average diner food.
