Never a bad time! Great and friendly service plus an equally great menu. One of my husband and I's favorite spots.

Chips and salsa were okay; pretty mild. I tried a chile relleno, burrito, and enchilada. All three were okay; I was quite hungry. Not super impressed -- just your typical Americanized Mexican place -- questionable lettuce, unappealing refried beans, etc.. It's sit down with a mix of booths and tables, Mexican decor, and all the standard things you'd expect.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing. The prices are reasonable. Very good service. I usually eat there at least 2 times a week.

Food was descent, like any other common Mexican food joint. Not bad but not incredible either. The music and atmosphere was a little too obnoxious and loud for my taste. But what really set me off was that our waitress only came to our table twice. After we were finished we made an attempt to ask from dessert but she ran off after putting the check down. In hopes that she would come back we sat there for awhile. Fifteen minutes later and no waitress, so off we went.

My Son's number one restaurant. Food is always good and so is the service. Lunch menu available. Prices are very reasonable. Chips and Salsa are complementary. If you are in the area, give it a try.

Best Mexican around . If out of town people come to Chambersburg this is the place . Food and the service is great . Fajita burrito is always a safe bet .

Excellent! Would love to return, the location we visited was in the plaza with baskin robbins/dunkin donuts? Service was fast and friendly, asked the waitress to recommend a dish and it was great. Would love to stop here again.

My wife and I took a nice ride on the motorcycle and found ourselves here for lunch. The place was empty aside from an elderly couple in the corner. Nice atmosphere and decor, not over the top like a lot of other Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. The waitress was quick to greet and seat us in a booth and brought out the chips and salsa while we took a gander at the menu. Once again it has been proven that I can walk into any Mex restaurant, not look at the menu at all, say "Fajitas Texanas" and I'll enjoy my meal. My wife ordered the Montezuma salad. Everything was very tasty and had good flavor, the only complaint is that the beef was very difficult to chew.

Service was excellent. The food was bland. We had guacamole in dip form and I had it with my dish. The dip was ok, but the guacamole had started turning bad by the time I got my dish. The rest of the food was also pretty plain.

There are actually two locations for Montezuma's, and which location you choose has a pretty big impact on your experience. The Wayne Ave. location has better food, but it is always very busy so the service is slower. The Lincoln Way location has much faster service (because it's not as big or busy), but the quality of food is not as good. Both locations have charming wait staff and lots of smiles, but I'm partial to the manager at the Lincoln Way location. He's just a step above: suave, interesting, charming, and great with his staff. Both locations are BYOB!

Montezuma's has good food and the service was pretty good. We went to the one near Lowe's and it's a lot more quiet and quaint then the one on Wayne Ave. We will have to go back again. Very good authentic Mexican food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
