June 14th.2015.Sunday. I had breakfast here with church friends. I had the Veggie Omelette with Egg Beaters and dry toast, decaf coffee. Always a great breakfast. The food service is always friendly and prompt from the lovely waitresses of the Greenvillage-Drive-In Restaurant. I will be back.

I have been to this diner many times and the service and food are great!! It has a complete diner atmosphere and you get ice cream with your dinner--the good stuff. Hot roast turkey sandwich and gravy fries with a side of cole slaw-delicious!

Random Acts of Weirdness This is more a commentary on an experience than a review of Green Village. I am still a fan, even though our server this time didn't live up to expectations. And that being said, she wasn't horrible, just not what we are used to at this spot. So, we got here, like we do often and everything is ok (except, like I said, server is a little slow and you have to remind her about refills). We go to pay our bill and server says "you eat free tonight. Someone paid your bill for you." We thought she was kidding, but she said a diner asked to pay our bill as they do this randomly on occasion. This freaks me out. I heard a our server tell someone behind me (I couldn't see them ) that the bill was $15.79 (which was exactly our bill). I thought it odd that their bill was exactly what ours was. When we were at the cash register, I saw the people in that booth looking at us (they were older than us and looked normal), but I didn't want to stare. Husband gave server a generous tip, especially since her service was less than what we expect there. We thanked them and walked out. But I had to wonder. If you accept the "free meal" do they follow you home and kill you? Anyway, no one followed us home. But we asked ourselves, do we look destitute? Husband thinks it was his Vietnam Vets hat. Well, thank you, whoever you were. But do me a favor and don't practice your random act of weirdness on me!

Many years ago, when I still lived at home with my parents, my dad and I would frequent this place due to the proximity to our house. Well, fast-forward a decade to one Sunday morning when my parents and myself decided to be nostalgic and go to Greenvillage. I go past this place to work and it's always busy in the mornings, and even some evenings at supper time. They seem to do a great business. This place is all local and offers a completely immersive local experience. If you're an out-of-towner and come here, you're coming here for the experience, not really the food. Inside it's horribly dated. The carpet is old, the tables have chips and cracks all along the edges. When you sit down in a booth, you sink down, feeling the wooden frame under your legs. They're beyond worn out. I don't think they've updated....ever. It seems clean enough, though. The breakfast menu is large, but repetitive. When you really start reading the items, it's just about quantity of items more than variety. They do, however, have a decent choice of omelets. I just ordered the special, which is two eggs, toast, and home-fries. It's around $3, so not too bad. My dad ordered the same thing, but with bacon for double the price. The food was fine, but not exciting. The three of us, or sometimes the two of us go out for breakfast 1-2 times per week, and this diner isn't on the top of my list (and we go to other diners often). The service was good here. They had plenty of servers working for how very busy it was. Also, we did not have to wait very long for our food. It came out hot and all cooked well (although the bacon wasn't crispy). The coffee is decent. The menu states it is Maxwell House. I'm not a huge fan of that brand, but going during a busy time ensures the coffee is super fresh, so it's not bad. Other patrons within the restaurant seemed to know one another, and the staff quite well, so you know they're regulars. That's what makes this a "local experience." There was an older gentleman visiting many tables telling them that he lost his wallet and started joking with them. He didn't come to our table, but I think it was just the tables of people he's seen there before. The location of this diner makes it an unlikely choice for travelers and those not from the general area. It's not near shopping or other businesses. The parking lot is a little tight when it's full, but they do have plenty of parking. All in all, it's not an exciting place I would recommend trying if you already have a favorite breakfast spot. As for other meals, I cannot speak for them. It might be a nice place for dinner. Certainly not bad, just not great and I like another diner in town better.

Kind of pricey for your basic greasy spoon fare, but you won't leave hungry. The kids like the food and free ice cream is included with most adult entrees.

Love this place! Home cooking, generous portions, and friendly waitresses and waitors that care about the customers. Can't wait to move back home to the area and be able to get some delicious home cooking that I don't have to make!

I've been visiting this restaurant since coming to this area in 1990. My favorite menu item is the Greek Gyro. In my opinion this is the best Gyro in the area and other than not having the tzatziki already on it, is just like what you might get in Greece. You'll have to order fries separately. There is no platter available. The owner, Stella, is very friendly. They also have a decent selection of kid's items. A scoop of ice is free with most dinners. Breakfast is also very good and amazingly affordable. I recommend this restaurant for above par diner food.

I'm not sure why it's called a drive-in... I can't for the life of me think of what they could mean by that. But it is good old fashioned Pennsylvania diner fare. It's hard to go wrong here if you like that sort of stuff. Heavy on fried foods, though. You do get a free little dish of ice cream with any entree order. I enjoy it in moderation, but be careful if you care about your health at all!
