Love this place! Go to breakfast spot after Mass. Can't go wrong with the 2 eggs, toast, and hash browns. Easy to walk of here spending $5 or less for a good sized meal! I haven't tried anything other than breakfast so far but I would like to in the future.

I checked Yelp for breakfast in Chalfont and this restaurant/diner was on the list. There's construction right there outside, but you can easily get in the parking lot and find a parking space. The inside was bigger than expected. It was spacious. They also have countertop seating to sit at the counter. It crossed my mind but I chose the booth. Nice lady took my order...I only had 30 minutes...but she didn't know that...ordered Chalfont 1 . Eggs, hf, meat, toast coffee juice. I would consider going again. Eggs were over medium as requested, tender home fries w onions (my choice)..bacon and toast. Bacon was lukewarm, crisp...but tasted just okay... Wheat toast was hot & good...happy that coffee and juice were included. Both coffee and juice were satisfying...many breakfast choices on menu. Fast service, nice staff..reasonably priced.
The service was quick the waitress was nice, thats the only good thing i can say about this place my wife had the swiss omelet i had 2 eggs home fries and bacon. The home fries where over done and flavorless the eggs where flavorless ( thank God for ketchup.) the cheese in the omelet was dry and flavorless. I don't consider myself a foody but i like good flavor in my food and i like to eat its one of the vices i have left. In closing don't eat here

Although this building has existed as a restaurant for many years I had avoided it for a long time because it was dark, dreary and just not consistent or good. Wanting to shoot out for a quick mid day meal yesterday we decided to give it a try after checking it out on Yelp. It was very different and that is nothing but good. We were greeted immediately, seated in a large well lit and very clean dining room and handed menus that rival big diners - lots and lots of different dishes. Since we both had breakfast I can't comment extensively on the rest of the menu but our breakfasts were really good, our service was attentive without being over the top and the price was more than reasonable. My only critical feedback would be that they could have put more hash browns on my plate (the serving was a bit on the skimpy side) but the Mexican omelete was delicious and very well sized. I will definitely go back because there were a number of really enticing looking dishes.

I visited this diner often during my many trips to Chalfont. Their salads are probably the best thing I ate there. So fresh and delicious! I also had the hot turkey sandwich at one point. Gravy was tasty, turkey was a bit dry. At one point my grandmother got the lunch special of baked ziti. It was practically all cheese! She managed to scrape most of the mozzarella off the top only to find a lot of ricotta mixed throughout the pasta. It was a meal not worth eating. Overall, it was a decent diner. I would go there again but be cautious as to what I would order.

Coffee is so good, plenty of splenda. Brought my five kids and hubby and it was signifcantly cheaper than chains like Perkins! Breakfast is good. Eggs benedict, chipped beef, etc. Good sizeable portions.

Avoid this place at all costs. My hot open faced roast beef was BAD - as in spoiled. Luckily, I spit it out on the first bite. Hopefully, I won't get sick tonight from the soup and salad I ate. The owner admitted the food was spolied. My partner's creamed chipped beef was "deposited" shortly after we got home. YOUR HEALTH COULD BE AT RISK IF YOU EAT HERE.

This is where the Roasted Pepper (which should have been called the Vomit Pot) but, thankfully, is NOTHING like the Roasted Pepper. It's been totally updated and is cozy, clean, homey. I've been to breakfast twice and lunch once. Fries are crisp and the Limekiln Burger (smoked ham, melted swiss, crispy bacon, LTM on a kaiser) was as good as it sounds. Breakfast is standard fare, though there are blackboard specials and today I had the Hawaiian HotCakes, which was three LARGE pancakes topped with a red/cherry sauce with pineapples, raisins and macadamia nuts. I also had a side of sausage links (4 small guys), which are done perfectly! Not to soft, crisp and brown. My PIC had a sausage omelette and he was happy with that as well. Let's talk about homefries. Ah. It's hard for me to find AWESOME home fries. I usually find them awfully bland (everywhere I go). The first time I had them at CFR, they were buttery , but I requested onions and peppers in them - which gave them nice flavor. Also, they were crisp. MY PIC wasn't too thrilled with them on the 1st breakfast run - but I was! The second time around, HE liked them, but I found them too dry. Service is quick. Friendly. Place is so clean!!! YAY cleanliness. Huge blemish? Parking. We're fortunate that we can walk off our food b/c it's so close to home. But it's right off of 202 and parking is TIGHT and a bitch to try and navigate into/out of during am/pm rush hours. I'd say, early in the morning, parking cross the street at Borghi's might be an option (Borghi's opens at 11 I believe). Also, it has a nice little deck, but no tables on it, I'd love to see a place to sit outside, even if the view is off cars whizzing past! Great addition to the Chalfont community. I hope the good service, cleanliness, and good food continue!

I'm pretty picky about restaurant food and am especially hard on diners! My husband loves them, me not so much. I was happily surprised when forced to go to a new diner on a Friday night fearing the typical meatloaf/ fried shrimp basket/ half chicken ordeal. I was a little leary when walking into a completely empty joint on a friday night but it was a bit late for the diner crowd. The waiter (whom I suspect is the owner) was attentive and pleasant! Biggest surprise of all was the food was really tasty. There was a varied menu, some but not alot of the usual fare and prices were decent. I'm not sure if they are usually open at night based upon the previous reviews but the food and staff were great! Give it a shot, I thing they could use the patronage. :) P.S. the directions are incorrect, it's right next to the bridge.

Not the best breakfast place to go to but it gets the job done for a decent price. The food always has been great. I've always gotten breakfast when I went there but you can get other food too. For some reason this place is never busy which is good because there's never a wait.

I came here with my two year old today. We were seated immediately in a dining room that I can only describe as feeling 'sticky'-it just felt very unclean. Once seated, we were handed menus. No crayons or paper for my daughter which I found quite odd considering it's a 'family' restaurant. The waitress promptly came over and asked for our drink orders. She brought them back immediately and asked if we were ready to order, we weren't so she said she would come back. 15 minutes went by before she did, mind you, this was at 10am on a Saturday and it was practically empty in there. As I looked around I saw the host and his girlfriend canoodling behind the counter and the two waitresses, only one who was actually working and attending to guests. Our mozzarella sticks came out first. They were excellent. Next came out our main courses. My daughter got grilled cheese and I got the chalfont #1 (breakfast meat, homefries, eggs and toast). She loved her meal. Mine left a lot to be desired. The eggs were terrible, I mean they tasted...funky. Maybe old or expired, but after two bites I decided not to eat them. The potatoes were waxy and needed seasoning but they were ok. The toast, soggy. And the bacon was the best part. Nice and crisp. I'm one of those 'if I'm paying for it, I'm eating it' type of people so I tried my best to enjoy my meal but it was fairly difficult. We also ordered a slice of chocolate cake to go. I could see it in the fridge and I noticed it's familiar box-it was a chocolate cake from Costco. So I said to myself, there's no way that this could be bad, it's from costco and I've had it before! Wrong. This was stale and it tasted like the refrigerator would have tasted if I had stuck my head in it for long enough. Chalfont Family Restaurant is a step up from the dump that it used to be but I wouldn't say it's too much better. We should have just stayed home.

I don't get this place. It feels like that they have a lot of regulars, but we did not find the environment to be very "inviting". The food was okay, but I can't even remember what we had. All I remember is saying that we would not go back... Not with so many other options. The only good thing I could say about my visit was that maybe I went there on a bad day, but I won't go back.

But I would find another place to go eat after this meal.

I've been here a couple times, and both times the service was very fast, especially this past Sunday. Literally within minutes of ordering, I don't even think 5 minutes had passed, we had our orders, steaming hot, sitting in front of our faces. Both times I couldn't resist the "Mexican Corner" of the menu. I had the Taco Omelet which was really good and served with some tasty rice and tortillas, of which I used to make mini omelet tacos. The staff is friendly and the décor is interesting. Lots of local advertisements on the tables, nothing wrong with locals promoting locals to keep it local. It is one big room with bar seating in the middle so it can get loud. Just be prepared to hear other people's conversations while dining. There is outdoor seating as well on the deck. Next visit I will try lunch but nothing wrong with the breakfast selections.
