Truly awesome breakfast served here! Couldn't decide between creamed chipped beef and pancakes, waitress suggested half order of creamed beef and one pancake. The creamed beef was some of the best I have eaten and the home fries were beautifully seasoned. The pancake was the size of the plate and was also fantastic. This will be my go to place for breakfast in Carlisle. Parking is limited but it is worth finding a spot. My husband had the eggs, home fries, bacon and sourdough toast and it was a delicious pile of food:)

I was down in Carlisle visiting my Aunt and Uncle the weekend of 8/18/2012. We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before our activities for the day (Hershey Park). I decided to "Yelp" a local place to grab some breakfast and came up with Kimberly's. This little diner is a local diamond in the rough. From the outside, it's nothing special to look at. Actually, the only thing that would indicate that this place is out of the ordinary was the jam packed parking lot. I must say though, don't let the full parking lot deter you, the service is fast. They keep the customers moving through. So, service is great, but I believe more important is the quality of the food. Let me tell you, the food was great. All three of us opted for omelets. I got the Western, while my co-diners both ordered the Ham & Cheese omelets. All of the ingredients were extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. The home fries that accompanied the meal were also delicious. They were closer to the shape of a potato chip than a traditional home fry. We topped our breakfast off by splitting a cinnamon roll. This was such a delicious confectionery treat, I'm thinking of driving back down for another! All in all, if you're staying in Carlisle, don't hesitate to swing into Kimberly's for a quick, tasty meal

There's a reason this place only has 5 star reviews. Seriously my favorite place of all time. I always get the cobb salad (even though it's not on the menu they always make it for me). I'm not sure how they manage to make chicken, lettuce, bacon, tomato, egg and bleu cheese taste so amazingly good- but they do. The chicken is always warm and juicy and the bacon crisp and flavorful. Get the house dressing with it and the cornbread! I just wish that they were open for dinner!

Excellent breakfast ... Pass up the other places and come here you won't be disappointed. Great food and service.

We've tried almost all the local places for breakfast and this is where we go regularly. Like every other week. With breakfast food, it's hard to go wrong, and yet some places manage to do that. Kimberly's doesn't. And they get the little things right. Waitresses are always friendly and efficient. Nice selection of teas. Muffins and cinnamon rolls are good. They have sourdough bread as an option for toast. Cozy, friendly atmosphere and good food. That's what I want in a breakfast place. I should add that the same applies for lunch during the week. Sandwiches are great.

The best place for Breakfast in Carlisle. If you are sick of diner Breakfasts and want something special check this place out. Its got the best eggs and hash browns around. They also have really good muffins and a grilled cinnamon roll that is awesome. All the waitresses are really nice and attentive. I can't say enough about this place.

While hunting for a spot for breakfast on Yelp, I came across this place and threw it at my friend who is a local. He told me for as long as he's lived in Carlisle (10+ years) he has always driven by this place and never stopped in. So that morning we did. There are a few things to note about the this place. Among them, the odd hours are probably top of the list. Still, if you have the ability to accommodate them into your schedule I suggest giving them a try. The menu is about what you would expect for a cafe/diner type establishment, but I like the fact that they have a good number of specials that I assume change daily. I got the breakfast special which was a huge platter complete with eggs, sausage, and enormous pancakes. The one thing I did not like however was that home fries had to be ordered separately. Everything I had was very good and I do hope to make it for lunch some day. I have the impression that they make good sandwiches. The only other complaint I have is that I really enjoy when a place holds a theme and classes themselves up a bit. Cafes especially. If you've ever been to the Tomato Pie Cafe or by chance The Green Bean Cafe in Chesapeake VA you know what I'm talking about. The fact that some of this luster is absent could be why my friend never thought to stop in for all those years. While this place labels itself as a cafe/creamery I consider it more of a diner. In truth its probably somewhere in between. *An assortment of novelty drinks would be appreciated as well.

Not sure why there are so many positive reviews for this restaurant. I'm a Dickinson student and I eat here often. It's definitely not anything above three stars. The staff is kind and the environment is friendly, but the food is consistently plain. Not overly tasty and definitely bland. That being said, good prices and decent quantities.

Nowhere near as good as all the positive reviews portrayed. The bacon was way too greasy and salty. The creamed chipped beef was terrible, but at least the waitress took it off our bill. The dishes weren't very clean, and the menu on the website is out of date because the prices are lower on the website menu. Overall, a disappointing breakfast for a place touted as the best breakfast in town.

What a find! Definitely worth venturing the four miles off the PA turnpike for breakfast. We stopped on a Sunday around 11am. Place was packed and they only serve breakfast on the weekends . We had the western omelette and a special -French toast stuffed with pumpkin. OMG-- it was as decadent as a "Cinnabon" with pumpkin flavor. The omelette was delicious. Highly recommend and next time I think I will try the cream chipped beef. CASH ONLY. A gem of a find....

The best place in Carlisle for breakfast. It can get crowded on a Saturday, but the staff is friendly and the food is good. I have been told their baked good offerings are best, but I cannot confirm this first hand. (My star ranking is based on how I rate this restaurant against those of its same type.)
