Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Finally! Some good pizza in Carlisle. We can walk from our place which makes it even better. local place that has been there for some time. Busy place for a Tuesday night so we were hopeful on the quality. we weren't disappointed. Crust is fresh with just the right amount of crunch, good sauce and right amount of cheese. I could have used a few more pieces of pepperoni but good pie. It isn't a big place and most folks take out but we loved all the pictures of the locals on the walls. And any place that has Stevie Wonder on the jukebox is alright with me!

I literally traveled to every town in the US. I have not found another pizza shop that even comes close to George's. I eagerly await my nice chance to visit. Cheese pan pizza and Birch Beer!

Little Carlisle place serving subs and pizza. Had two slices on a tuesday, 99 cents each. Service isn't great in terms of friendliness but I didn't let that detract from some good greasy slices of pizza.

This place is awesome. Prices are reasonable and the service is pretty fast. I got the california chicken sub(large) and it was perfectly done Very satisfied with my lunch here and highly recommend it to others!

4.5 stars for the quality of the pizza. (for Carlisle and Central Pa. in general) 5 stars for the price, speed, and people watching. The townies playing gansta rap videos on their smartphones, the 17yr old HS dropout who's just wrecked her 4th car and on her 6th DUI, or the college kids talking trash about said townies. Was disappointed, because couldn't find the "shrine to Jesus" that makes some Yelpers uncomfortable. Pizza Shrines to anyone are quite tasty. 3 stars for décor, size of the establishment, ease of finding it/parking, and single door that lets cold air in during winter months.

Not sure now this place for such good reviews. I will never be returning. Let's just recap what happened: My husband and I go to the counter to order. Not very welcoming. They have a fountain drink I've never heard of (some Pennsylvania birch beer). I ask her what it tastes like. Her response, "I don't know". Doesn't even offer for me to sample it, I have to ask for a sample. She gives me a tiny sample in a little clear cup thing that one would put ketchup in to go, then walks away. Then a little 10 year old brat comes to the counter. I call her a brat because she was rude the entire time she was "taking care of us". We order a pizza, then ask which Stromboli is the best on their menu. Her response, "I don't know" (common theme). So we place our order. A third girl comes to the counter. She rings us up. She was actually nice, which was surprising. So we take our seats and wait for our food. 30 MINUTES LATER we still haven't received anything. So I go up to the counter to ask. No one knows what's up with our order. They figure out that our order had been boxed to-go when we asked for dine in. But the order was wrong. We ordered the California Pizza but they had a plain cheese pizza. Nice. We finally get the right pizza about 15 minutes later (which sucked by the way, pretty sure the "chicken" was turkey). The whole experience here sucked. I guess I should have known better. As soon as you walk in, there's a mannequin standing with it's legs spread apart about 2 feet, arms dangling by it's side, hands open, IN MARINE DRESS BLUES. Who do they think they are disrespecting the uniform like that? This place is a disgrace and I hope it goes out of business.

This is a great pizza and sub shop along with a super friendly staff. I have been eating here for years and this is hands down my favorite spot. If you are serious about your pizza, then this is the perfect spot for you.

I have eaten here possibly as many as thirty times in the last 12 months. Most of the time it has been a complete hit. The food is fresh, the prices are fair and the atmosphere is quaint. The staff changes over the last several months have been unfortunate but overall the food hasn't suffered too much. There was a guy in the back making subs before that was (to borrow a tag from subway) a true sandwich artist.... You could tell this kid really was trying to impress as each sub was made just so even when they were busy. I had my wife stop by recently to pick up lunch and it was obvious there was a new guy making my food. It was still good, don't get me wrong...but it was messy as hell.... Thus the 4 stars vs 5

The New England style subs are a must try! I've been going to this place for years and the food is consistently good.

I love the taste of this pizza. It truly is delicious, no doubt about it. However, the wait can be insane here. My sister and I decided to stop in for a few "slices" of pizza for lunch and decided to dine in. The restaurant was not packed or slammed, but it took an HOUR for us to get two slices of pizza. Our fountain drinks were long gone by the time we got our food. I can understand if there is something going wrong in the kitchen, but when you hear the staff laughing and carrying on and letting the phone ring off the hook, you start to get annoyed. No one came out to let us know what the hold up was or reassure us or anything. Just weird.

This place has the best pizza in town, easily. The crust is delicious, the toppings are great quality, and the sauce is one of my fav pizza sauces of all time. I always asked for extra. I will say though that I wouldn't come in to eat. The dining room is like a shrine to Jesus, and to say that makes me uncomfortable would be a gross understatement. Plus, there's not really waiter service, so it's kinda pointless. Delivery is definitely the way to go.

Great comfort food, especially if you like meat! A large sub easily feeds two. I had the Steak sub and was pleasantly pleased with the portion size and meat seasoning. My mother had the Philly and it was equally tasty and oversized. My aunt had the club sub which was teeming with tomatoes as it was stuffed over the bread with ingredients. Very patient & friendly service. The decor has you looking for Fonzi but the nostalgia will have you ignoring the worn out padding in the booths and hard chairs at the tables.
