Damn good sandwiches here for the price. I'm not sure how they do it, but the taste is all there. I had a turkey sandwich that was huge, tasty, and all of five dollars. Added a couple of mozzarella sticks to the order. They were okay, but pretty ordinary. I look forward to trying the chicken wings when they aren't sold out. It's really easy to get take-out here if you don't want to eat inside the bar. Service was VERY fast. They also have a beer store inside to take home.

Service sucks. Walked in and ordered take out. Waited 45 minutes, people walking in getting their orders behind me. They forgot about the guy sitting at the table with nothing in front of him. What was I doing there? No one seemed to wonder why I was just sitting there. This isn't the first time

When I read the reviews I was expecting it to be good. When I walked in I just hoped it wasn't super shitty. Turned out to be pretty awesome. Egg salad melt didn't seem salmonellay. The Italian sub was pretty large and or big. I don't remember what this other kid ate but he didn't complain.

Its Been to long since I was here.... The California cheese steak was SOOOO GOOD!!!!

It's a dive with decent bar food. A lot of locals are there and it's almost awkward to go in if everyone doesn't know you. The subs were good and the cheese fries were smothered in cheese. There are TVs playing sporting events so it would be cool to grab a beer and watch a game. Staff isn't super welcoming but who wants fireworks to go off for them when they walk in anyway?

Just moved to the area a few weeks ago, so happy we found this place!!! My husband and I have eaten here or ordered to go at least 3-4 times per week so far. Everything we have tried so far is amazing. Growing up in South Jersey, I have high standards when it comes to hoagies, strombolis, and cheesesteaks. American Heroes has exceeded my expectations. My husband swears they have the best mozz sticks he's ever had. In addition to the great food, they have an awesome staff and great prices on beer! All in all we love this place and can't wait to go back!!

One of the best sub shops around! I can't ever seem to order anything but the grinders because they're so tasty. My favorite sub is the G9 and the fries are always perfect. I would recommend trying this place anytime you're in the area.

First time in the Carlisle, PA area and Courtney (server/bartender) made my visit worthwhile. The food and drinks were great. However, the TV screens were small and not receiving high-definition feeds. Not good if folks are accustomed to receiving HD reception on their home TV's

5 TVs ,Beer on tap, Fast service great food .Always good.

Solid cheesesteak. Service average to below average. Portion size average at best. Price a little too high. Not a good setup for takeout since it is located in the bar/seating area. Kind of awkward to say the least. Very divey atmosphere.

I can't believe i haven't reviewed this place sooner. If you are a hoogie fan and find yourself in Carlisle, PA this place is the only place I have found to get a real authentic hoogie. Real fresh bread, not that subway crap, real hoogie rolls, and fresh top grade cold-cuts. Sandwiches are huge as well. Also if you are more in the mood for a burger and fries the double is amazing good. Great food, non-pretension, well worth the trip in.

My husband and I stopped by in the middle of a road trip back to NYC from Pittsburgh (my hometown). OMG what a good call. Seriously! The place is very no-frills, but their sandwich game is on point. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak, and my husband had a classic cheesesteak. Both were amazing! And if you want a whole sub rather than a half- hopefully you are Joey Chestnut, or another professional eater, because the half sub is huge. It's very reasonably priced, and has insanely cheap beer prices (though unfortunately we were driving and didn't get to sample them!). The cold cut subs all looked great too- everything was fresh and quality. The roll that my hero was on was delicious! I will definitely stop here anytime that I have the chance to.
