Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

We had heard wonderful reviews from several friends about Dolce Vita & we are so glad we chose this restaurant for a night out with our dearest friends who suggested we give it a whirl! We reserved a table on the front porch & it was a perfect setting! It was beautifully lit & surrounded by flowers and grape vines. Tables were properly spaced and it felt warm & cozy. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer & they were spectacular. The texture of the mussels were spot on & we ordered an extra side of bread for our soaking pleasure. Nino, the gracious and friendly owner, suggested I try the Capellini Di' Angelo & it was delicious. The tiramisu caused a spoon war as I originally planned on sharing. After one bite...I wish I hadn't offered to share! HA! I cannot wait until our next date night. Thanks Nino & Family for a memorable evening. Beth & Family

HORRIBLE service, WAY to much salt in everything. Gristle, greasy overpriced yuck. NEVER going back.

Dolce Vita is one one of may favorite restaurants. I always look forward to my next visit back. My girlfriend and I have never had a bad experience and we go every chance we get. The food is extraordinary and the service is great. They do get busy at times, so make sure you call ahead for a reservation.

Yum! Very cute small Italian restaurant. Need a reservation on Friday night. Salads came very quickly and meals did not overlap but quickly followed. The pasta with vodka sauce was awesome! Dessert wasn't as amazing but the whole experience was good for a local Camp Hill date night.

Cannot believe someone actually served this veal! A nice building but the food was not up to par

Don't want to write this but need to be honest. Nice people. Great little dining space. I am on the outdoor patio and just finished dinner. Just not good Fresh baked bread is sour Veal was very salty and prosciutto was all fat. And menu with special sheet was filthy This place is really nice buts needs a new chef I wanted Italian tonight and tried this place after a year in the area No god Italian in the area Confirmed

My family had a good experience here. The atmosphere was great, food was good, service was great, and a good time was had by all. They sat us on the second floor room and we all had really good service. Appetizers came quick and were tasty. A table of about 10 of us and no one had complaints on their meals. Restaurant doesn't serve alcohol, but we knew this and planned ahead. We brought plenty for ourselves, wine, beer, mixed drinks. Cheaper than most places. All in all it was a nice experience. Not sure why they have all bad reviews.

Truly a wonderful experience every time we go. Nino the owner treats us like family. We love to dine out on the front porch. We've traveled to Italy and Paris, France. Eating at Dolce Vita always seems to trasnport us back to old Europe every time we vist. Great food, good prices and unique experience will be waiting you.

Despite some of the negative reviews, I found the place pretty good! I went with a nice size of people, about 10-12 of us, and we were seated easily because we had a reservation. It's a small restaurant, kind of looks like the place you'd take someone on a date, but it really was very nice. Kind of dark, but again, an intimate setting. I ordered the lamb rosemary, which came with a salad with cappellini pasta. Each came out in reasonable time and the each were very good Note: This is a BYOB establishment. The food was very tasty and the rack of lamb was good. Not too small, not too huge, just right (sadly, I'm a quick eater, and its a horrible habit I am trying to break), but overall I had a pleasant experience there despite it being expensive. But it's fine to go there once in a while, wouldn't go there every day. Nino, the owner, was very nice and worked with us to make sure we had a nice meal, and we did. He's not italian, au contraire, he's Armenian, but he made sure all of us got everything and was done in a timely manner. Oh, and its along the river which adds a nice touch.

Yeah. Would not go back. The garlic bread was ok if you like bread soaked in a dilute garlic flavored olive oil that had zero salt. The calimari was ok, but who can screw up that? But wait, they did because the sauce was terrible. My oso buco. Omg. Where do I start? Grilled. Yep grilled, smothered in marinara sauce and tough as nails. The only good thing was the brushetta. But even that was unlike any I've ever had. Thick slices of bread with a cooked compote of tomatoes and onions. This is a pass for me.

Went to Dolce Vita in Camp Hill, in which I had reservations for the past 3 weeks. Arrived without any greeting from any host or hostess and stood for at least 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We were pointed to sit at a table across the upstairs restaurant. Once seated, we both noticed that the flowers were dead... And I'm not taking wilted... Dead and brown... Drooping. It's Valentines Day and not only our table but the tables next to us had dead flowers. Thanks for the romantic set up. Oh, and also thanks for the heads up on the abridged menu. Two appetizers... TWO. I actually called Gabriella ( the best italian restaurant in Central PA) while sitting waiting for our server. Left immediately and had an amazing meal at Gabriella.

Excellent food. Excellent service. A nice departure from dining in Harrisburg. I will definitely be going back! Sit on the porch. It's charming!

Always a favorite. Nino has been serving my family for a few years now, we followed him over from the old restaurant in Enola. His family truly appreciates your patronage and shows it with a handshake or a hug. Service is always great. For those who complain about the service, I've never experienced this. He has however hired staff to help with the increased business. For those who need fast food go to Wendy's.

I wanted to update my review because even though we were about 2 minutes from walking out, we ended up eating our meals and we were not happy with them at all. As someone else that reviewed Dolce Vita mentioned, their food is incredibly salty. After waiting an hour and a half for our food, I expected it to be phenomenal. It was not. I'm still also blown away with how poorly our server treated us. I would consider my fiancé and myself foodies. We will travel far and away and pay ridiculous prices for good food. Dolce Vita is not good food. There is always a chance we hit them on an off night, but reading the other reviews on here makes me think that our experience there was typical.

Instead of being asked to wait and that it would be 30 minutes, we were turned away and told we couldn't be seated. It's preposterous that the owner won't accommodate any walk-ins; especially someone who is 9 months pregnant!

Received a gift certificate to this restaurant and went for the first time last Saturday night. Service is attentive, but not particularly friendly -- particularly in the case of the gentleman with the Italian accent you welcomes you upon arrival. Runners and bussers were nicer to us. Service was speedy. We ordered the clams casino to start. The clams are very, very small -- they actually serve them in both shells, with stuffinig in each side, because they're so tiny. Casino really shouldn't be done with anything smaller than littlenecks. The clams were fresh though and the stuffing very tasty. My entree was a whole other story. I was a little put off by some of the menu selections (example: They advertise a carbonara dish, but it is made with proscuitto (okay), ham (maybe?) and salami (what!?) in an "alfredo sauce" -- well, that's alfredo with various meats, not carbonara...) Since I was already wary, I figured I'd go with something safe & ordered the puttanesca. Mistake. Completely over-salted with too many capers and kalamata olives. WORST part: Tons of the choke from artichokes in the sauce! I felt like I was choking down all the little coarse hairs - it was disgusting. AND no actual artichoke hearts to be found! Bizarre. I don't like finidng anything inedible on my plate, let alone all throughout the sauce covering my entire dish. There was also a vauge rancid-crab taste in periodic bites, but there wasn't any crab supposed to be in the dish... I took about 5 bites & called it quits. My companion liked his dish, on the other hand (primavera), and since we had money to burn, we ordered the tiramisu. It is not at all traditional - made with cake, not lady fingers. It was tasty, but not really a tiramisu. All in all, I wouldn't suggest anyone come here. The restaurant itself is very, very small (only 8 tables inside, another 4 or 5 outside), dingy, dark, and little dusty. I know Italian is hard to come by out in those parts, but truly, you can do better than here. Heck, Olive Garden is better than this!

They were closed for kitchen repairs but did not call us to reschedule our reservations. The man standing on the roof when we arrived said he did try to call the day before, but we did not believe him. There is an answering machine when nobody is home; if he'd called, why not leave a message to save a new customer driving to your restaurant for nothing? So we are thinking not to try again if that is the level of courtesy shown to customers.

I have been visiting La Dolce Vita for some -- even before they relocated to Camp Hill from Enola, and it is one of my favorite dining venues, The Italian food is regularly very good. The restaurant is a family business with husband, wife and sons providing hospitality, good food, and service. The move to Camp Hill has increased the clientele and one should reserve in advance.

A beautiful little restaurant with lousy food. The chicken francese was thick and rubbery and the sauce had no flavor.! Blue cheese dressing with no discernible blue cheese. Marinara - not bad.
