Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I have a special place in my heart for tiny family run places, and Gutierrez does not disappoint. Fair pricing, friendly service, and the food was delicious! Total Gutierrez convert.

Love the food and the owners. Authentic Mexican food is hard to find for this native Californian, and I get it here! Yum

Typical Butler mexifare--bland and predictable. They are always out of something; service can be bizarre at times. But it's Butler PA--home of the worst restaurants and horrible service, so will be kind and give it 2 stars.

I have not been to this specific location, but I'll never forget the meal I had here when it was located on Jefferson St. I was super impressed by the atmosphere and by the distinctive fresh taste of everything I ate. I have been meaning to get back here for years but no longer live as close. This is THE place to get Mexican food in Butler. Skip Rey Azteca and give this a shot.

They moved to Cunningham street in butler, next to family video. Went there for lunch today. Service was good, food was great. Price was adequate. Salsa and chips were a great start. Lunch menu had many choices.

We keep a list of restaurants to try, and this one had been on it since back when it first moved into Butler--years ago. We'd stopped once before and it was closed, but persistence paid off this time around. Gutierrez is a hidden gem in western Pennsylvania--and well worth the drive. Now, when you first arrive, don't be discouraged. The restaurant doesn't look like much and the neighborhood looks worse--not dangerous, just down on it's luck. Ignore appearances and get yourself in there. There were four of us, and between us we ordered about 9 different items and split 'em up--burritos, enchiladas, tacos, tamales.... it was all fantastic. The owner was the only one working--he took our orders then went back and cooked our food. it was like having dinner at someone's house, he took such good care of us. And did I mention the food was fantastic? I ate myself sick. I knew I was full, but I just didn't want to stop tasting that delicious food. Can't wait to return.

Call if between 4:00 and 5:30. He leaves to get supplies. Don't ask me why he would leave when dinner starts. But he does. Anyway the food is worth it but make sure he is there.

Called at 1030 needing a lunch for 8 by 1130, which is when they open. Owner answered the phone and said of course he could do it. Fresh avacado order wouldn't come in til 2 pm so he said he would just have to go pick it up and then he'd get right to making this big order. I showed up early (before opening hours) and he had the order almost ready anyway. Nicest guy in butler and I will now support this restaraunt whenever in town. Please go here and keep this restaurant open, they deserve it based on service alone. Oh and did I mention the burritos and tacos were fantastic
