Diabetics at Pizza Hut
Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.
Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:
You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.
Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

This is a great place for take out or delivery! The restaurant is pretty casual. You can bring your own wine. The portions are large. The prices are great. The pasta is awesome. The food is delivered hot. They have great deals for the specials and for the family size dishes. The staff is so friendly.

Just perfectly mediocre pizza, nothing special at all. Greasy.

My husband and I are huge fans of this place. I usually get a salad or individual pizza (usually chicken and goat cheese), both of which are always delicious. He is a fan of the hoagies, which are on homemade bread, quite yummy, and huge. The service here is often good as well. I had a really exceptional experience the other day. I usually can only finish half the salad and was going to box the rest up for lunch the next day. The guy behind the counter offered to do it for me, and packed it up nicely with a fresh breadstick, fresh container of dressing, and fork for the next day, which is not what I would normally expect for this casual of a place.

Just walked out. $11.27 for a cheeseburger, fries and coke. My only compliment is that they did offer my money back. And the food is ok, nothing special. I wouldn't go back

So far this is my favorite place to get pizza in this area, but there's so many places we haven't yet tried. The basic cheese pizza is good - not overly saucey - not too greasy. For me it has to have a bit of grease because that is true pizza. One time I ordered a personal size pesto pizza and it was too dry for my liking. We've ordered wings here too and my surprise dinner guests thoroughly enjoyed them and the pizza. My son once ordered a calzone with a bunch of stuff inside of it and loved it. I always call ahead and then pick up because we live really close by. The place is clean. There's usually a decent crowd inside at the tables. The guys working there are always friendly and look happy to see you. Prices are fair - quality good - free parking - nice service. I like this place!

Stopped in here a few weeks ago after hearing rave reviews from some colleagues over the last couple of years. We didn't order until we got there but it didn't take long - maybe 10 minutes. I enjoyed an Italian Stromboli and a wonderful little house salad with a delicious red wine vinaigrette. The Stromboli was huge, so I brought half of it home for my husband... He claimed it wasn't a Stromboli - said it was more like an inside out pizza - but really, I don't know what the difference is and didn't really care because it looked and tasted great to me!
(5)Candice N.
The salads here are excellent. I love that I can get great fresh ingredients fast. The Greek and the Cobb are favorites but the Pizzarella salad is REALLY good.

Yay for Pizzarella. First tried them when having a "party" at my house. The pizza was amazing. We ordered the thick sicilian style crust cut into squares. I got more compliments on this pizza than any of the other food I was serving. It was so good, we haven't ordered regular round pizza since, now all we order is the sicilian. It is also piping hot every time we get it. They must have hot coals in that bag! Anyway last week we ordered it again along with a burger and some chicken fingers for the kiddies. When the delivery man showed up with all the food except the pizza, (he brought one slice instead of the whole pizza oddly) we were bummed for sure. The delivery man was so apologetic and said he would return asap with the pizza. About 25 minutes later he came back with the pizza, extra slices, and cookies for the kids. Above and beyond for an honest mistake. Love this place!

This is my favorite pizza! My partner also loves their Ceasars dressing and would eat it on its own if there was enough of it! Fair prices and very nice service.
(4)Jessica S.
I just stopped in to order dinner for tonight for a big family party. Everyone was so helpful. The food is great here so I know that all of our guests will be more than satisfied! 2 Large cheese pizzas, 1 Margherita, 1 extra cheese, 1 pepperoni, 3 large cheese steak strombolis, and a large house salad. It doesn't get better - or easier - than this to have a party!
(4)Nina B.
I love this place! Friendly, fast service , and amazing food! Try their upside down pizza it's amazing! Recommend this place to all families in the area
(5)Kevin B.
I love this place. We live a few doors down, so it may be a slightly biased review since we come here often and the owner knows us by name when we call in an order or stop by. The plain pies and tomato pie are both great. The Main Line salad is one of the best pizza joint salads I've ever had...the ingredients are always fresh, the portions are big but not too big and the service is excellent. When my girlfriend was pregnant and when our daughter was a newborn they delivered to our door for free, even though we live just a few steps from the place. Did I mention the turkey hoagie is exceptional? Nice, dry, homemade roast turkey breast and fresh in-house baked rolls. If Pizzarella Grille was only so-so in the past, then the current management has made some big improvements - and it's been the same people since we moved here in 2012. I highly recommend :-).

First and last time. My husband, son and I went to Pizzarella Grille on a Thursday evening. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, by a gentleman working in the kitchen (you can see the food preparation from the dining area). I thought that was a nice gesture. It's a cute, casual establishment with many booths and tables and lots of windows, which is nice. The young lady at the counter took my order- she was very friendly and we sat down and waited for our food. I ordered a plate of fries, a "Grilled Vegetable Melt" on panini bread with fries and another "Grilled Vegetable Melt" on panini, hold the cheese, please (this should come with potato chips since I didn't specify that I wanted fries with it nor did I pay extra for fries). Well, what we got was another story. They brought out fries first- really big portion but piping hot! Way too hot to eat and I'm not sure why they don't offer ketchup in a large bottle. It's rather wasteful to have to use small, individual packets when dining in. Five minutes later they brought our paninins- Both had cheese on them and my husband's fries were smothered in an artificial, yellow cheese. I sent back my panini (the girl who I ordered from agreed that it should not have had cheese on it). I also never ordered cheese on my husband's fries but it was obviously a misunderstanding. No big deal. She had already left with my plate so my husband took his plate up to the counter and told them he didn't ask for cheese on his fries and one of the men working in the kitchen (not the one who greeted us) said abruptly, "That's what the ticket said". I don't care what the ticket said, we didn't order cheese fries. It was rude and unprofessional. My husband and I have both worked in the food industry and were shocked by this employee's reaction. We let it go and waited for our plates to be fixed and returned. 2 minutes later they brought back my husband's panini, minus the cheese fries and told us his fries would be out shortly. My husband actually apologized to the man about "the confusion" but he was still convinced that it wasn't his fault since "that's what it said on the ticket". He couldn't even apologize- in fact, no one apologized for the countless errors of our order. I waited and waited for them to make me another, cheeseless panini. It took about 5 more minutes and when it came out they had served me fries instead of potato chips. They never brought out my husband's re-do french fries. We were pretty much done at this point. We ate our food (which was okay, nothing special) and will most likely NOT be returning. The panini bread tasted more like a hoagie roll than a panini, and there was no balsamic dressing on either of the sandwiches like it says on the menu (I had to ask for dressing). I recommend some training in customer service if they want people to return happily. An apology goes a long way these days.
(2)Matt S.
Nothing really that great here. The food was ok, but I only made the trip once. Never felt the need to go back, even when I was tired of all of the other local establishments.
(3)Jennifer P.
Have been ordering from the place since it opened and think it's great. My favorite dishes are the chicken salad flatbread, or any of the salads. Their thin crust pizza isn't my favorite and I haven't tried the Sicilian yet. The veggie melt is very good too.
(5)Matt F.
Just the other night was my first time at the Pizzarella Grille, and I stopped in hoping for a quick, high-quality bite to eat... and I was not disappointed! The selection of menu options is impressive, and the entree that I had - the Main Line Pasta dish - was exceptional. This dish featured sauteed spinach, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, roasted red peppers, capers, herbs and olive oil, served in a very fresh portion with a side of some of the best bread I've had in quite some time! The establishment is modern, clean and bright, with a very family-friendly ambience with the Phils game playing on two TV at a pleasant, understated volume. I would come back here in a heartbeat - and when I'm back in the area, I definitely will!
(5)Craig L.
Oh Pizzarella Grille- I want to love you. I've been going more than I should - and I'm fairly sure you alone are responible for having to buy 36" pants. Salad is great (Main line is yummy), the mini-pizzas are made to order. The management seems to be in a constant state of changing - along with the artwork and menu. I'm not sure if it's changed hands a few times or what but the setup has lost consistency. I'd avoid the pasta dishes; Shrimp Scampi and Lasagna were both pretty bland. Stick with salad and pizza.
(4)Trish O.
Ordered from Pizzarella a few times. My favorite thing is the Penne Pasta with Eggplant on top. his is not a menu item, but something they are willing to do, and it's delicious and a HUGE portion! The staff has always been pleasant on the phone, the delivery guy Scott is a gem, and they were SUPER nice when I went in to eat there. Very accomodating! All in all, I've never had a bad experience or tasted something from here that I didn't like. I highly recommend them, both for delivery or eating there!
(4)Lily T.
why oh why did you drop the mushroom, pistachio, truffle oil pizza from the menu? I loved it.
(3)Joe C.
Food was ok. Greek salad, small pizza for the boy. People were very nice to me and my young son. Ill go back but I'm in no rush. The pluses are really the ample seating, convenient parking, and friendly staff. Food is just average.
(3)Todd Z.
I have to disagree with the last review. The manager Anthony is super nice and has always been friendly and very accommodating. I'm vegan and they stopped sprinkling parmesan cheese onto their tomato pie slices so that anyone who doesn't eat cheese can buy them. Also they stock vegan cheese and will make vegan pies and strombolis, as well as ones that are gluten free for all the people who have gluten allergies. I'm not sure if I'd say prices are high, but the quality of food is higher than most places I've tried in the area. Give them a try and see for yourself.
(5)Manny C.
We won't be going back here. The prices are way too high... i.e. $14 and up for a large pizza. A few of the simple pasta dishes are good, but not at full price. Used to be a half-price pasta dinner menu on sunday nights, which got us in the door to sample a few times, but that deal is gone, and now so are we. There is never anyone dining in this place and the manager/owner looks arrogant and never smiles or says hello to the customers. This place won't be around for long.
(1)Joe M.
I was with a friend in the area driving around and decided to grab a quick bite. We just happen to be passing by so se decided to try it out. The wings were pretty good but the cheesesteaks (we both had different types) were awful. The bread was hard and neither seemed to have any seasoning and left the whole sandwich very bland. I wish we would have kept driving and found another place because from what we are it wasn't worth it.
