Apparently I am not allowed to voice my opinion or someone from Rye's Will message you telling you that I am attacking their Family. I told them I was giving my opinion of the experience we had at Rye's. I also advised them that instead of arguing with me they should get started on cleaning and maybe they would not have negative reviews.

Oh my goodness is the food at Ryes good! Sorry that it's not much to look at on the inside but it's what's on your plate that counts. I had spaghetti and meatballs with salad, in fact a very nice salad. My companion had the sirloin steak (Sunday special) and could almost cut it with his fork! Also tried the apple pie for desert. It could have used a warm-up but was still quite tasty.

Dinner at Rye's on 11/21/13 at 6:30pm. I had dinner at the bar. The bar maid was rude and only concerned about getting a tip. When she waited on us she never even said hello. Just asked are you eating. It was the end of her shift. She placed the bill in front of us and kept looking to see if we were paying and leaving her a tip. We weren't even finished with our dinner. A young man across from us ate and was leaving. She couldn't even wait until he left before she snatched up the tip. This isn't the first time I had this waitress. My girlfriend and I had her wait on us before and she was rude. She kept coming back to ask if we were finished. Due to her rudeness I waited until she left and gave the other bar maid the tip. This lady needs to be put in check and trained on how to treat customers. I have no complaints about the food, but the service could be better.

Good food in a homey atmosphere. Portions are large in comparison to the price. Home cooking without having to clean up afterwards.

This place is completely sick. It needs to be shut down. I walked in and thought it was a joke. Took a recommendation from a local college student at CalU that they had good food. I literally have never been somewhere so disgusting. There were gaps in the wall filled with PAPER NAPKINS. Every wall is painted a different color, sloppy with the wallpaper underneath showing through. It's dirty, the waitresses were just hanging out eating with their friends. There are old dusty Christmas lights and decorations. I got my food (spaghetti with meatballs) and the salad was good. The spaghetti comes out - the meatballs were gray and i mean gray. I took a bite and couldn't believe it. I never ever complain at a restaurant and will eat almost anything and I let him take my plate away almost completely uneaten. I was not rude because my waiter was a young kid (extremely nice kid) and I felt bad because I feel like he was the son of one of the owners or workers and didn't want to upset him. I am now sick with what I believe to be mild food poisoning from a bite of meatball and spaghetti. My friend ordered "fettucini alfredo" which came out as thin spaghetti with orange-tinted overcooked inedible chicken in a sauce that had solidified and he likened t mac-and-cheese. He could not even take another bite and asked the waiter if he could have something different. The boy was very nice and made him a burger instead. The fried food coming out to other tables looked good and cooked well, however a good mark of a restaurant should not be how well their fried food is. I didn't enter the bar, but this place should be a bar only with a maybe some wings or fries or other fried foods on a small menu, IF THAT. I will never ever in my life EVER step foot in this place again. I am sorry to those who eat here; but it is just sad that people throw their money away for food and atmosphere like this. Just sad.

I take back what I said about Elmo's. Rye's is the epitome of back woods...but once again, the food is amazing! I was in town visiting my mom and dad and went there for my 29th birthday. There were about 15 of us. We had enough food to feed everybody and THEN some, plus enough shots of tequila to drown a Mexican Sea Captain...plus beer, mixed drinks, etc...and the bill came to about $130. Awesome! Can't get that here in the Silicon Valley.

Cheap (did I say cheap?) hole in the wall that looks like a dew drop inn/biker bar. I avoided this place for years thinking that it had sawdust and blood for floor coverings. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a decent restaurant and bar for the local college and natives of the area. It's glorified bar food, but great glorified bar food.

Have eaten at Ryes a dozen times or so always having a good experience until recently. While the wings are good, they are not worth the price unless its Wing Night. The lasting time my wife and I visited we spent over $60 on wings and drinks only to have the Bartender shut off the music i paid for due to the complaint of 1 local hillbilly drunk drinking drafts. (He apparently wasn't a Pink Floyd fan). When I pay $60+ for chicken wings and then put a $5 in the box I want to hear my songs. Do not turn it off in the middle of the 1st song to satisfy someone buying 50 cent drafts. Needless to say...we will not be returning.
