Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I've been here before and really liked this restaurant, however the next visit was unhappy. I think our server was inexperienced. When inquiring about the menu specials, we asked if we could do more veggies instead of pasta. She didn't ask the kitchen. We would have been willing to pay an up charge, but she wouldn't even ask. It was very odd, because in the last visit they were very accommodating. I ordered a chicken dish that wasn't fully cooked and needed to be sent back.

My boyfriend and I were in the area on business and we needed a good, filling dinner. We are big foodies so we are pretty picky. Annabella's did not disappoint. Their complimentary bread is warm, soft, and delicious! We then split the marghertia pizza and the Seafood alla Annabella. The pizza had fresh basil and mozzarella- yum! The seafood alla Annabella was super fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend! Ok, gotta go, dessert on the way!

Great "red sauce" Italian restaurant. To be clear - not an upscale haute cuisine establishment. BYOB. No cappuccino, etc Very good simple food. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Friendly place. The chef/owner makes the rounds. Our server, Casey, was super friendly and efficient. White table cloths are a nice touch for an informal restaurant.

One of my favorites around and I am pretty picky. Owner is super nice and food taste amazing. Super clean and never had an issue. :)

Been here several times. Food is always good. New family menu is very affordable. The Italian pork sandwich was the best pork sandwich I've ever eaton. The thin crust pizza is also very good. Very friendly staff.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. It's a nice small BYOB place. I always get the rigatoni alla vodka and it's the best vodka sauce in this area. It is a little more expensive than other penne vodkas but it is definitely worth it. The chicken parm is also really good. The cannolis are awesome too.

Annabella's has been in Bristol for as long as I can remember and to last as long as it has, it must be doing something right - and it is. From the nightly specials to the regular menu items, I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy. Entrée prices run from about $13 to $28, with specials a little more. On more than one occasion we have asked the chef to prepare his "Sausage & Mushroom Antipasti" over pasta, making it a delicious entrée. He never seems to have a problem with this kind of request and most nights takes the time to walk around the dining room speaking with his guests. You won't find "Molecular Gastronomy" items on the menu but will find old world Italian cooking. Not everything is heavy on the cream sauces but those that are, are delicious! Portions are very generous. If you are attending the Bristol Riverside Theater, which is right across the street, it's a great way to start your evening. And remember, Annabella's is a BYO.

It was a rainy day and I had to get lunch. Since I'm still fairly new to this area since starting the new job, I wanted to try something new in town. Thanks to yelp, I found Annabella's which was located just down the street and around the corner. I braved the elements and headed over. Annabella's was a pretty tiny place, there's a small dining area on the left side and the kitchen is on the right with a small counter/register for take out orders. Since I was on my own I ordered take out and got a pepperoni stromboli (since I originally wanted a tomato pie but couldn't order just a slice). The owner Bob (I believe his name was) served me and was pretty friendly. I brought the stromboli back to the cube and was instantly WOW'ed when I opened the box. It was beautiful. Quite possibly the most beautiful stromboli I have ever seen. It was perfectly cut into 4 pieces and had seasoning/spices over the top..with two nice huge sauce containers (I asked for an extra...not realizing how large one container was). Soon later, I realized that this just might be the best stromboli I ever had! It had a thin crust, mushrooms and red peppers...and was just damn tasty! I was in a pretty good mood for the rest of the day. I will DEFINITELY be returning to Annabella's and I still need to try their tomato pie. Five star rating for the friendly service...and for the best stromboli I have ever had.

I have been eating here for years, mostly for making my favorite artichoke pizza ever but I finally went on a Saturday night for dinner. I love the restaurant, the staff, the BYOB factor and the food is amazing. My parents and boyfriend really enjoyed their meals and we all tried different things from the menu so luckily I could snag their food too. Amazing little place in Bristol!

Never been to this place before. I saw it while driving by. Walked in and asked for a take out menu, and they didn't have any??? How does a restaurant not have any menus to take with you? This is a HUGE turnoff to me when I get food.

Annabella's has got all the right things on the menu. From the appetizer list to the pastas to the fish to the osso bucco, you've got some yummy options. Although some would say the prices are high, the fact that it's BYOB makes up for it. I worked here at one point years ago when they opened with the responsibility of making your salads, and have been frequenting the place when home for holidays/to visit the family ever since. Bob is a kick, the service is great (Birna!) and to be very frank with you, if you want Italian done right in Bristol, this is your option.

Great place. Must visit.

Pros... Salmon was wonderful. Cons... Entrance leads to kitchen, bathroom, and restaurant with people eating right as you walk in. Size of a shoebox. Our table. Chairs are that of an event hall. Table was sticky and I had to have my glass changed due to lip prints on it. Our neighbors were almost sitting at our table and were too loud for the small environment. The entire restaurant became as loud as a high school cafeteria and I wanted to leave at that point. The prices are similar to center city Philly, but my salmon was actually very good. My water was filled at the start and never again. I won't be going back, which is sad cause I enjoyed the food.

Horrible dining experience! Rude owner/"chef". Served a shrimp scampi with no garlic and no flavor other than lemon and with overdone, tasteless shrimp and a skimpy portion of pasta for $20. I sent it back nicely and he came out and told me he "disagreed" with me and had the nerve to wrap up the leftovers (98% of the meal, which I refused) and charged me. He was offended that I sent it back because "nobody ever sends anything back". Really?? I have never experienced such boorish behavior by a supposed restaurateur. It was a shame, because the dish that my companions had was actually tasty. If he had handled this professionally and with a bit of humility instead of an inflated ego, I would not have been so harsh with my review. I can understand how some may feel intimidated by that person...and they may just not have had awesome scampi before...I have. On a positive note, the server handled herself gracefully and was the only highlight of a very disappointing meal. Oh, I had a Groupon...maybe he was trying to make up for that...good thing, I would have been even angrier had I not had it.

Had our 2nd meal there the other night. It was Italian night -that requires reservations, which we didn't have-they had 2 extra seats and welcomed us in. Everyone was great-food was terrific. I had the manicotti with homemade bolgnesse(sp) and my husband had the seafood and pasta and said it was great. The chef came out twice to see how we were doing and as the people came for Italian Night you could tell it was a great neighborhood spot. BYOB is added bonus. We'll be regulars!!!

This is my favorite place to go in Bucks County. I can always get a table, I can bring my own wine, it has great food at great prices and the staff is friendly! I can't think of any way it could be better.

Ok, this place is feaking amazing! The food is very well done, attention to detail and amazing flavor. I highly recomend the mussells in red sauce! Holy cow is it good! Bring a bottle of wine to sip. The owner and Chef is from my favorite state and mtn town (Steamboat Springs, CO) and he treats you like family. The wait staff are all friendly and polite. They have outside seating and a stroll along the water front to burn off the calories seals the deal. If you have not eatin here yet, you must!

Annabella's is a very small Italian restaurant that seats about 35 people and is located directly across from the Riverside Theater in historic Bristol Boro. It is a good place to have a meal before a show at the riverside. It is owned and operated by a friend and former high school classmate. The restaurant is named after the owner's grandmother. Annabella's offers many good Italian dishes and has many different specials nightly in addition to the regular menu. If there is a negative, it is that they use imported pasta ( it kills me to use that word instead of macaroni) and not homemade. The macaroni however is always done just right and not moosh. In addition to dinner, they make an old fashion tomato pie that is out of this world and is good either hot or cold. You can order the tomato pie as take out. Also, there is always an ample supply of broccoli - rabe, fried long hot peppers, and cushca peppers, which are long hot peppers that are allowed to turn red on the vine, then dried and fried. You have to ask for the peppers, they are not on the menu. These three item always make me a happy camper. The peppers are locally grown by another friend and former classmate of mine who has a large garden. Annabella's is BYOB and does take reservations.
