Low key atmosphere, great customer service. We had prime rib that melted in our mouths.

This place is Rediculous. First of all the food I s mediocre at best. The steaks are not horrible but very tendony. The sides were very small and disgusting. Who chops up and mashes asparagus? Secondly the prices are stupid. They are on part with Morton or Ruth cris. They up sell EVERYTHING without telling you. Want some onions and mushrooms on you steak? $6. The sodas consist of Luke warm straight from the box cans of coke for $2 each. One guest got a martini and they charged her $15 fir it. We got 4 steaks and 2 apps and a soda each for 4 people and our bill was over $200. Not including tip and no deserts. All from unannounced upsells. Frankly I'm shocked they didn't charge us for the bread.. maybe they did who knows.. The decor is that of a better then average diner. For the price this place is totally not worth it. I felt totally used and taken advantage of after i paid the bill.

Was hungry for a steak and was in the area, so decided to go back. It had been about 20 years since my last visit. It was a Saturday night at 7 p.m. and the place was empty. That should've been a clue right there. We both ordered a glass of red wine, my husband a cab and I a merlot. The merlot was bad and had to send it back. I ordered the Filet Tips and my husband ordered the crab cake. I ordered my filet medium rare and it was med well, very disappointed that it was so overcooked. The baked potato and salad were good and the service was very attentive. I think they need to update the decor, the exterior, and get rid of the very loud radio station music in the background. I will not be back. Overpriced and mediocre food/beverages.

My wife and I love the Pit Stop. The atmosphere is date but the food is excellent. We almost always get the surf and turf, which is two 4 oz lobster tails and an 8 oz filet. The steak is always perfect. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The Pit Stop is the best steak house in the area. The owner told us about his new breakfast menu and we cannot wait to try it.

Went last night for Mothers Day I must say it was a huge disappointment. The quality of the food has gone down hill. Don't go off the beaten path and order anything but steak. Bread was good and dessert everything in between not good. A salad with no croutons really ? Only thing going for them right now is the wait staff -- who appear to look rushed. Sometimes getting bigger is not better.

A series of unfortunate events. Luckily the staff was friendly and attentive. Perhaps the chef had a bad night? My husband and I just wanted a nice dinner out away from the kids to celebrate Valentines. Surf and Turf disaster to put it nicely. Our wings appetz. were tasty but dry/little pink too. Both filets were Dry as can be, no flavor and overcooked, both times. The filet tasted chalky - that bad. And my to-go meal (Tried to give benefit of doubt) was raw - a slap in the face to a paying customer - I have photos - couldn't believe it. I actually feel violated and like they robbed us. I didn't get the impression the chef gave a damn about what he does for a living, how sad. I'm sure the owner didn't appreciate three entrées at 35 bucks a pop going in the garbage. Real unfortunate and sadly won't be back.

Ruth Chris Steaks in a cornfield. Good service, bar atmosphere with so so condiments (butter for bread in commercial pads) , good service - most steaks are pretty big- overpriced by 20%- (8oz fillet $31) but cooked exceptionally. YMMV

Wow. Can't believe how much this place has gone downhill. Service is terrible. 90 minutes and still no food. Waitress is oblivious to the fact that we're without drinks. Tables sending food back left and right. Table of 8 next to us had one woman who never got her entree. Not recommended.

Horrible - food and service. Steaks were ordered medium and came out well done. When we said something to the waitress she admitted they were way overdone. She took a lousy $8.00 off a bill of over $100 and when we said something, no one seemed to care. Can cook way better steaks at home or go out locally to get something better. Never again. Huge disappointment.

MY husband I went there 5/23/15, which was over Memorial Day weekend. The weren't busy at all. We waited a very long time for our dinners, even had one of the waitstaff apologize for how long it was taking. I ordered a NY Strip, medium rare. It came out medium well/well. My husband had a ribeye which he ordered medium well, his was closer to rare. We waited so long for the steaks I didn't want to send them back... very disappointed..especially when we're paying $75 for two dinners. You're paying for the food, obviously not the atmosphere..which is dire need of updating..

Have passed this little place by several times. We never stopped. What a mistake. Four people for an early dinner. All food was exceptional. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Appetizers excellent. Service prompt and professional. Atmosphere was not fancy, but carried out the "pit stop" racing theme well. Clean and nicely maintained. Prices on the high side, but OK considering the quality. An online coupon helped save $20 and gave us a free appetizer. This is definitely ourfirst choice for an excellent steak dinner treat.

Overpriced for subpar steaks. They have coupons but still to much money for average food. No atmosphere at all. Won't eat here anymore.

Excellent meal. Steak was one of the best around. Try the surf and turf Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.

I've been coming here all my life! From the perfect steaks to the efficient service to the warm bread with apple butter, this little restaurant compares with the best steakhouses around.
