Went here on a Thursday night for some Shellfish and Beer. When we walked in, we noticed 2 things - first, it was fairly empty for being only 7:30pm. Second, the age of the customers seemed to be above retirement. We decided to stay anyway and had a good experience. The bartender was friendly and responsive and the food was all fairly good and reasonably priced. I ordered Sauteed Calamari (Good with their house red sauce). Steamed Clams w/ white sauce (good portion for the price, but a tiny bit too salty). And Steamed Mussels (same sauce, but this was less salty and the portion seems bigger because the mussels are bigger. The waiter mentioned that since I like shellfish, that on Tuesday nights they have all you can eat mussels for $12.95. I would definitely go back. A nice quiet place to have a relaxing beer and some seafood.

I had lunch here the other day with a large group of people. I had the salad mista and the spaghetti with clams. I am at a loss for words. The food was good - not great, not bad. I found the food to be uninspiring to me. Would I come back here? If someone asked me to join them, yes. But would it be my first choice for eating Italian food? Probably not.

Had my daughter's college graduation party there Sunday. We had 20 people and were put in a private room. We had the brunch. There was so much variety and very good selections. Many of my guests commented on the buffet and said they would definitely return. Antonio and Paula, the owners always give us friendly service and a good time. I am not a great fan of brunch buffets but this one is fabulous and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

As for the food I have to say it was also outstanding I can't say enough about this place we just loved it after dinner we went to the bar which was somewhat crowded again our server Paul hooked us up with a bartender who took care of us !! Such a unexpected great night and with or without a groupon will definitely be back. Do ur self a favor go it's really worth it !

I find the place very attractive, but the real test of a decent restaurant is how is the food on a Sunday eve. I prefer fresh fish, but of course they did not offer this on Sunday, so the next best thing is to a Veal dish. Most Italian restaurants offer garbage veal and rarely will I dare try. Since this was a test to see if I want to go back, I selected the veal with a mushroom sauce. It was $23, but was truly delicious, and quality tender veal. My wife had a pasta crabmeat dish and it was delicious. An added plus is Sunday is a BYO no fee, but the wine list looked good with reasonable priced wines as well as expensive, but quality wines. I hate having to guess a wine for dinner, plus the markup. The cost of a wine/liquor license plus the cost of PA wines in general justifies the markup that I do not want to pay for. We inquired who owns the place with our sweet young waitress, and Antonio and Paula introduced themselves to us, and explained that they are looking to offer good value for Italian food, hence a little higher priced food. I'm ok with this. They are both from Italy and have the thick accents to prove it. I think they could be a lot of fun, based on our discussion with them. We want to go back, but it is 14 miles so we cannot be regulars. I wish they were closer to Warrington, which could use a decent Italian restaurant. KC Prime is the only decent option, but their food is real artery fillers so I cannot go there too often.

I had high hopes, but this was our second visit and we won't be back. The fish was not fresh tasting and had a slight taste and smell of ammonia that occurs in fish that is starting to go bad. Also the dishes were over salted. Last visit the tuna ordered rare came out well cooked. I wanted to like this restaurant but sadly, I feel the ingredients need to be fresher and properly prepared. Il giordino in Springhouse is much better food and a byob as well.

Ate here on NYE with four other people and thoroughly enjoyed it. Atmosphere, service, food and drink were all top notch. There was live music in the form of a classical guitar player in the bar area which made for a nice touch. On to the food... For appetizers we split calamari, fried and sauteed. I often find sauteed calamari to be a bit on the tough side. Not here - it was as tender as I've ever had. And delicious. The fried version was equally as tender, but dressed in a perfectly light breading to add another textural dimension. Both were served with rich red sauces (traditional marinara and spicy) that ended up being cleaned from their respective bowls with the complimentary selection of different breads. For the entrées our table ordered Bronzini, Filet, Fettuccine Alfredo, Risotto ai Frutti di Mare, and Cappellini Granchio (angel hair pasta with lump crab meat). Everybody tried everybody else's entree and all received unanimous praise. The angel hair with lump crab meat was my order and there was no shortage of large lumps of crab, and the portion was large enough that I had the remaining half for lunch the next day. My meal was complimented with a nice Montepulciano red selected from their fairly extensive wine list. They also have several beers in bottles and on tap, which include the usual psuedo-crafts you'd find at any Italian/Mediterranean joint (Stella, Peroni, Blue Moon, etc.), but they also had Hop Devil offered as well. And if your preference is to supply your own, they allow you to do so on Sundays, which I think is a very cool option. Our server was attentive throughout our dinner and the wait for our food was reasonable, with all of our entrees showing up hot, and at the same time. Given the type of food I'd say the prices are average to slightly high. The good news is that you can take a look at their menu from their website before you go if this is a major consideration. This location has almost been a punchline for restaurant turnover in the past few years, but if L'Angolo Blue stays consistent with the experience I had, there should be no reason for them to have to pack it in like the few that came before them.

I've never felt compelled to lick my plate at a restaurant before, but if I was at home I certainly would have! EXCELLENT all around. Hope this place is successful because we plan on returning often.

Considering the demographics Blue Bell has very few 'go to' restaurants for a good dinner after a long work week if you want more than pizza or sandwiches. My husband, son and I had dinner at L'Angolo Blue last night. We were seated quickly and and dinner arrived promptly and piping hot. I had the gnocchi and scallops in a cream sauce, which was excellent. However, the bowl contained only two scallops. For $18.95 I would expect a little less potato and a little more seafood. I flagged down the waitress and pointed this out. She acted surprised and told me she would mention it to the chef. She came back later with the explanation that the scallops were small so I was probably confusing them with the gnocchi. Not only were they ripping me off but now they are insulting my intelligence. No mention of adding some of the main ingredient to my meal or taking something off the check to make up for the deception. We finished and had to wait 20 minutes for the check because the computer 'was backed up." Whatever that means. Never going to this place again.

Nice interior, great location. In my opinion, the food wasn't great. Calamari and other seafood dishes are over-salty and have a strong fishy taste. In comparison, I like the way it's done just down the street at Castellas. The host, who was also the waiter has a thick accent and seemed mildly disinterested. It felt like we were annoying him by being there which was strange because we were one of only three groups sitting in the dining area. I think this place has a good history with the older crowd who yearn for the old days, similar to the Blue Bell Inn, but the Blue Bell Inn has recently upgraded and changed to meet a newer, more modern customer base. The bar area looked pretty nice, and the house Chardonnay was good and cold.

We just had a great meal at this place. The service was excellent. The decor was very pretty, upscale. I am a clean freak when it comes to restaurants...no complaints here! We would definitely go back.

The food was decent, not the best. However, the service was terrible. We sat for a good 6-8 minutes before someone came by to get our drink order. Our server never introduced himself and never checked on how we were doing once. The only reason we were able to order our entrees is because we flagged our server down while we were eating our appetizers. Eating appetizers while trying to hold your menu and flag down a server is not what I expected from and expensive dinner. I wish we could have tipped the bus girl because she was the only one who noticed our drinks had sat empty for a while and came to refill them.

After several off-putting experiences at L'Angolo during their first couple of years, I vowed not to return. But my traveling partner today begged me to stop there for lunch and I'm so glad that I did. The same young waiter who had been overly cold in the past is now cordial and inviting. I tipped him generously for making me feel so welcome. Service was super-efficient. Our lunches were fabulous. My salad with fruits of the sea (calamari, a single grilled scallop, a single colossal shrimp, several steamed clams and steamed mussels over mixed greens and shredded carrots was fabulous. The greens had been tossed in a flavorful. very light dressing of some sort, perhaps lemon and olive oil. My salad contained at least 30 of those scrumptious mini-capers that I love. A flawless balsalmic vinaigrette was presented on the side, and it was so delicious that I actually dipped my seafood in it. Imagine such a large, tasty salad priced at $12.95. Such a bargain! My friend's penne with jumbo shrimp in a garlic sauce was perfectly cooked. Fresh baked bread arrived with our meal with a crushed dried tomato and olive oil concoction for dipping. Very tasty. A tall, chilled glass of draught Peroni (a favorite light Italian beer) served as both beverage and dessert. We certainly had no room for sweets after our generous platters. L'Angolo has clearly overcome the quirks that once turned me off. The food has always been excellent. In the real world, a restaurant needs to have both to succeed. L'Angolo here I come!

Wanted to give the place a try after Salvatore's went out. The second visit, last week, though was no better than the first. The 'happy hour' is not complimentary, but available for $10. But its an assortment of tired, unappealing appetizers, three bites enough. I found the manager rather snooty, like the Maitre D' from Ferris Buehler's Day Off. Also this is not a place for a 'younger' dining customer. If the food was edible it might be OK for a 50--60something on the lookout..

I tried to give this place two stars because I think that giving any place one star just makes me seem like a person who is extremely hard to satisfy. I promise, this is not the case. I give credit where credit is due. I could give this place two stars just to give credit to the servers that did not ignore us, but that is basic service and that shouldn't count. The food needs to be at least "okay" or "good" to warrant brownie points for service- this was not the case in my experience. Also, I get that people who do reviews either hate a place or love it. I felt I owed Yelp viewers some feedback because I had used it previously and based my visit on the positive reviews. My fiance and I were looking around Blue Bell for places to have our rehearsal dinner at. We stopped by here briefly on a Sunday afternoon, and were greeted by a friendly hostess who answered our questions and showed us an area of the restaurant where we could have our dinner. I was happy with the looks of the restaurant and thought we'd have a nice time here. We went on our way then to look at other restaurants, but came back a few hours later to check out the food. Good thing too. We came in around 4:30pm and there were exactly 5 other customers in the restaurant. Before we sat down, there were 3 left as a couple left hastily with a presumed manager quickly following them out the door and audibly asking them if everything was alright. My fiance and I had found ourselves a spot at the bar, about 15 feet away, yet still were able to hear the exchange. This presumed manager then came back to the bar area and roughly addressed a waiter about 10 feet away from us who was going through receipts, saying it was his fault that they lost a table. I am an ex-server and ex-bartender, so instinctually I pick up tones and vibes from restaurant staff and it seemed like said presumed manager was really "hopped up" and was not paying much attention to the 5 other customers who could hear him. In his defense, my fiance was not paying attention and didn't realize the exchange had happened when I asked him a few minutes later, so, he wasn't shouting or anything but still... take that to the kitchen or back of the restaurant, please. Also, berating staff is not a good way to inspire confidence, or help with team spirit. We were greeted by Mr. Presumed, and attended to fairly quickly. I ordered an iced tea which tasted as if they had not thoroughly cleaned out the brewer from the last batch of coffee brewed in the machine, so it tasted like I was drinking a tea-coffee hybrid. No thanks, diet coke time. Since we were trying out foods around the area, we went "lite" and ordered the special- a tilapia platter with stuffed crab, and an order of mussels in a white (wine?) sauce to share. The mussels were not very good at all.. probably the worst (maybe second worst) I have eaten. They tasted like they were cooked separately from the sauce, and they had little to no flavor. The sauce itself also was very bland- I've had white wine sauces that I literally want to eat with a spoon, and I don't think it's rocket science to make a decent one. I had 3 mussels and that was it. Fiance had the same to say. The bread they served was stale, and the "sauce" they served to dip it in was a brown, perhaps balsamic based concoction? I don't know, it was not explained to us and that's fine because it was not very good. A different waiter came out and he seemed genuinely concerned that most of the mussels were left, asked if we liked it. I politely said "Sorry, but not really".He asked why and said that it's how they will know to make it better. Thanks, Chip. At least you know how to interact with others. The tilapia... ohhh, the tilapia. Frozen fish can never really taste good. Our $25 special was most definitely from a frozen piece of fish. It was hot. That's all the positive I can say about it. Bland, no flavor, drenched in (not so good) sauce ( that's always a HUGE red flag for a meal). The crab was stuffing-based, where I was expecting fresh pieces of crab ( this could have been my error).. but it doesn't matter because my $25 dinner with no salad/soup course and stale bread was made from flavorless, frozen fish. The same friendly waiter was a bit upset again that we seemed to not enjoy our fish. Sorry dude, but not your fault. I think your server buddy did that one table a favor if they left before ordering. All in all, we left feeling like Suckers, capital S. Tab was $40 plus tip for essentially a one-person meal ( 1 appetizer + 1 entree and 2 diet cokes if you're counting) We aren't cheap-os, but it was diner quality food at a "$$" / "$$$" price. It didn't seem like there was any effort put into the food quality, which is really a shame because there are area restaurants that definitely do and they will lose customers to those spots. I wish this place luck and to realize that ambiance and decor can't make up for bad food.

We had a graduation party for our daughter at L'Angolo Blue on May 9th. Everything was absolutely perfect! We had a private room which was set up beautifully! The appetizers were the best we've ever had, especially the fried calimari. Our dinner entrees were excellent and served fresh and hot! Every one of our guests told us that their dinners were great! Our server, Jen, was wonderful. Everything from beginning to end was perfect! Also, I have never been in a restaurant that was so clean! We will definitely have our parties at L'Angolo Blue from now on!

My coworker and I went here for dinner on Thursday night around 5 and we were the only ones there. Around 530-6 more people started coming, thank god. The atmosphere is nice, like an true Italian restaurant. They had a live jazz player playing saxophone which was nice for something different. When you sit down, you get bread and what looks and tastes like Ellio's pizza slices with a nice olive oil dip. The bread was good, and so was the pizza slices but I swear the same thing is sitting at home in my freezer. For dinner, I ordered gnocchi with scallops in a white sauce and my coworker ordered the veal with shrimp, potatoes and veggies. Both were good, not great but good. The veal was fried nicely, the potato wedges were very good as were the veggies. The gnocchi was delicious but the scallops were extremely overcooked. That was my only gripe with my dish. We ordered the creme brulee for dessert which was very tasty. Kind of wish it was served with fruits as well as the whipped cream though. It needed a little acidity. Overall, we had a nice time. Not sure I'd go back though. I have a thing about paying $18 for pasta when I can make it at home for less than half that price.

Our favorite neighbor place. Usually go there once a week . Terrific special dishes every night . Bread dipping sauce is the best . Sometimes live music while you dine . Great service too . Reasonable prices as well.

Food was very good! Lovely antipasto table with a nice variety. Gnocchi were light and airy, like little heavenly pillows in a flavorful tomato sauce. Veal with mushrooms was tender and delicious. Eggplant parm was also tasty, as were the mushroom ravioli. Service was adequate. Looking forward to going back!

The seafood dishes that we ordered were great and we enjoyed listening to the jazz saxophonist in the next room. Service was professional and not rushed. I particularly enjoyed the clam chowder - was supposedly New England style, but had a nice soupy consistency rather than the thick goop that is often served at restaurants. And the taste was wonderful.

This place was amazing! The gnocchi were like butter and to die for! Our waiter was attentive and nice. My sister's swordfish was a little dry but he took it back, refreshed it, and gave her a glass of champagne while she waited. I can't wait to go back again!

I came to this restaurant with a friend of mine on sunday 8/24/2014. We tried to go to the Blue Bell Inn first but that was closed. This was across the street so we came in. We were seated right away and within 30 seconds the waiter came over and gave us water and told us the specials then walked away. He never came back to our table, and neither did any other waiter or the busboy. There were two servers and a busboy working. It was very slow. Only two other tables in the restaurant, and two people at the bar. Everyone was being given attention but us. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come back and either take our order or at the very least get us our drinks but no one ever came back. We kept looking around, trying to make eye contact with someone. One of the tables finished and had left. The server of that table did not come over to us, even though he was doing nothing. He went and bussed the table instead. The first server who told us the specials I guess was also the bartender. He was behind the bar the entire time just talking to the only two people at the bar. He was not making any drinks or anything. There did not appear to be any owner or manager anywhere. So we got up and left. I have worked in restaurants for many years and there is no excuse to never come back to a table and leave them sitting there for 20 minutes. Especially when it is slow. I am writing this review not to keep people from patronizing here, but in the hope that the owner or manager will see this and correct and address the problem so it doesn't happen to other customers.\ I agree with one of the other reviewers who said to go to Castello's instead. The food there is great and the service staff ACTUALLY serves people! Amazing I know!

Went there a few months ago and would have posted this warning of a review earlier, but the restaurant was too new. In a nutshell: Never Again. Things I remember: - Ridiculous upselling: We had FOUR in our party, all their appetizers came in servings of THREE, numerous times they tried to persuade us to by another order so that we 'all could have one'. Cheap bastards. They asked us if we wanted water - we said yes and they promptly came out with a $5 green-bottle. Screw that - we just want regular water! If we wanted mineral water or some other exotic variant, we'll ask. - Sloooooow service. There were four of us and it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Good golly - it was Saturday night and the place was empty! Half the staff seemed to be hanging out in the bar area. That should have been our first tell that this place wouldn't work for us. I recall the serving staff being pompous, I distinctly remember one of the staff correcting the pronunciation of one of the dishes when one of our guests asked about it. - Crazy prices: $18 for a bowl of pasta? Seriously? $8 meatballs? Alcohol was terribly priced too - we spanked that wine list after we got a gander at its ridiculous offerings. This is Blue Bell, dudes, not Manhattan. Pasta should not be expensive, period. - The food was not memorable. I can confidently say that now because I can't remember anything about it. I remember when Marabella's was here - it did well so I won't fall for the line that it's a bad location for an Italian restaurant. It was followed by Blue Horse and Chef Salvatore which flopped big time. My advice? Stop being pretentious and cater to a younger crowd. New restaurant? The manager should be out on the floor, greeting and making the place feel warm and engaging. I can't wait for this place to fold. Ooooh, I better stop now, just recalling that experience is making me angry.

Great place. Owners and staff are friendly. Food is good. I took the kids 5:00 last Friday and was not crowded. By the time we left it started getting busy. Would recommend and will be back soon.

I don't know why others gave a low rating to the restaurant. I went with a friend last night and we both enjoyed our meals very much. We both had pasta dishes and we shared a salad with tomato, mozzarella and avocado. We also shared a very good tiramisu.

My buddy Little Paulie and I decided to try L'Angolo Blue for lunch today. Little Paulie is straight up Italian, I've seen him throw a punch if you say something negative about his grandmother's sauce, tu capisci? As always, we ate at the bar. The bartender was a little rude, no "welcome to" or "My name is" sort of thing. More agitating is he did not ask how our food was...that really ticks me off. We both got one of the simplest pasta dishes on the menu, spaghetti with tomato sauce, bacon, onion and basil. For the positives, the spaghetti was cooked perfectly, the portion was appropriate for lunch. Two negatives, first, the sauce was somewhat one note. In my opinion, the sauce was under salted and lacked acidity. The biggest complaint is the bacon. The bacon was not crisp or rendered down at all, we both got a too many pieces of "chewy" pork fat; not the texture I want in a pasta dish. The dessert tray looked nice, although we both declined. The Espresso was perfect. There are a few other menu offerings I'm interested in trying. In addition to pasta dishes, they also have the standard list of sandwiches and burgers. Stay tuned!

HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL The owner comes and yells at us after us providing feedback for how bad the food and the service was. It took 35 minutes to order a drink, 60 minutes to order the appetizers and entrees. After the initial hour, the appetizers still weren't done so the owners wife puts together a quick fried calamari appetizer for the table. On a Mother's Day evening where you want no stress and aggravation, you got all the above with bad service and bad food. In addition, the owner claims that he got "slammed all at once" when the restaurant was at less than 40% capacity. I don't think I have ever quite met such an unprofessional owner of a restaurant / business in my LIFE!!

I met my girlfriends for a drink and we hadn't had any dinner so we ordered 2 appetizers. The first one was a flat bread pizza that tasted like Ellio's frozen pizza. I asked the bartender if we could send it back after eating a couple pieces because we were starving. She was rude and said , " The next time we want to send something back don't eat any of it"! Then the wings came out that looked like they weren't cooked at all. I took one bite and was scared to eat any more. I called the lady bartender over again and attempted to send them back because we couldn't eat them! The bartender/ owner asked me if I was trying to start trouble? She told me to leave the restaurant, which at that point I was happy to do!!! I can understand the food not being right but the rude, mean attitude I encountered was unforgivable. I never would return to that hostile scene!!!!

I purchased a Groupon for dinner for 4 for $80. I called to make a reservation, and asked if I could come in with three people instead of four. The person who answered the phone said yes, but we had to spend $80. I then called the next day to verify, and again was told we could come with three people and spend $80. We arrived on Sunday at 6PM to a fairly empty restaurant. The owner/host/waiter/bartender seated us. We got soup, appetizer, entrees, drinks, and dessert. The bill was $107. The waiter/owner only removed $60 from the bill instead of $80 because we only had three people. I tried to explain that I called twice, but he interrupted me and said his 16 year old hostess didn't know anything and that I didn't call today because he was the only person there. I proceeded to show him my cell phone to prove that I called. He didn't want to hear it. He yelled at us in front of the few patrons he had in the restaurant. He said he was calling the police when I said I wouldn't pay the extra $20 because I purchased the groupon for $42 for $80 dinner, not $60 dinner. The food was average. The bruschetta was horrible (burnt bread ruined the taste). We didn't complain about anything. Finally, he agreed to give us the value of the entire groupon because more people had arrived and he does everything himself, so he needed to bartend now. We left a 20% tip and left......NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN!! What a jerk!!

I've had Sunday Brunch and a weekday Dinner here and I have to say...EXCELLENT on Both. The Brunch offered so many selections and everything was delicious. The salad bar, the dessert selections, the carving station, the eggs benedict, the manicotti, the chicken, the shrimp.... I could go on an on about the variety. If you didn't find something to eat at this Brunch, you just did not want to eat. I'm anxious to take family there for brunch next time they come into town for a visit. The Dinner was very very good, both my selection and my husbands were DELISH. The attention from the owner of the restaurant was great. Our appetizers were lovely, the Burrata Salad and the Oysters were perfection. Dessert (Crème Brulee) was equally delicious. Will definitely make this a preferred spot to have a lovely dinner, in a beautiful setting. Oh, did I mention that the Martini's were awesome and the wine selection was very good.

Owner was real personable guy. Was there for catered event and portabella lasagna was spot on. I worked in the restaurant industry in younger years and appreciate when a restaurant can keep good flow of people happy. Well done L'Angolo I'll be back with my family....

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch with great, personal service and superb food! We are Italian foodies and my husband always tries the Caesar and house tomato sauce on a first visit - the salad was very good and the pasta was excellent -fresh with layered flavors. I had the arugula and prociuotto salad (very good) and their pasta special of asparagus ravioli with sirloin steak and mushrooms. The sauce was nuanced and the ravioli delicious. I can say this was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, including several trips to Italy. From the fresh bread, well-priced wines, lovely Italian background music, fresh and delicious entrees to a wide and tasty dessert selection, I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. We plan to return with family and friends soon.

My husband I had lunch here twice and it was very good both times. The homemade gnocchi were delicious. We just tried their Sunday brunch and it was excellent. I am not usually a big buffet fan, but their Sunday buffet has a nice variety of breakfast as well as lunch dishes including many Italian specialties. Also, the buffet was very reasonably priced at $19.95. The desserts were wonderful as well. I had very good service on each of my visits. The dining room is very attractively decorated and very clean. I hope they make a go of it (their predecessors on this corner always struggled) because this is becoming one of my favorite area restaurants.

My boyfriend and I ate here last Saturday night and when we arrived, we noticed the place was packed! Luckily, we only had to wait about 5-10 minutes to be seated. Not so bad. I ordered the linguini with scallops and my husband had the salmon. Both were delicious. Our favorite part of this dining experience, however, was the dessert. I had the peanut butter pie and my husband had the butternut squash penna cotta - wow! For someone who isn't really big on deserts, I have to say, I have been swayed. Aside from the total silence I got from my husband while he was eating his dessert, I can't personally say much for his experience, but I can say, my PB pie was perfect parts sweet, creamy, and crunchy - and wholly delicious. Ryan, the dessert chef at L'Angolo (we asked our waiter for his name to pay compliments), is reason enough to visit this authentic Italian corner spot. I know we'll be back!

We took a risk and had our wedding rehearsal dinner at L'Angolo Blue. It was riskey because this is a newer restaurant, and we weren't sure how well they could handle our party of approximately 50+ Italian guests (from Italy) with high standards for Italian food. I will tell you, it's not easy to find a true Italian restaurant in this area with authentic Italian food capable of taking large parties... All I can say is that L'Angolo Blue completely delivered. My now-wife and I, as well as all of our guests, are so happy with the whole experience, and we are so glad we chose L'Angolo Blue for our important dinner. The service was impeccable, the quality of the food was incredible, and everything exceeded our expectations. I was very impressed with the service. We had over 50 guests, who were all demanding various drinks during cocktail hour. Nobody ever had to ask twice for a drink - you asked and the next moment the drink was in your hand. I was really impressed with this given the high number of people all asking for different drinks at the same time. No one had to wait. During dinner, there was a perfect amount of time in between courses, a short break but never too long of a wait. We never felt rushed, and never pushed out at any time after deserts or coffee. During dinner service, the appetizers were all fresh and delicious, all served family style prior to entrees; then entrees were served; then deserts and coffee. The appetizers seemed endless, but the portion sizes were perfect. I could go on forever about the food. All I will say is that the food was absolutely fresh, and very well prepared. The food has an authentic home-style Italian taste, with high quality ingredients. Calimari cooked perfectly; mussels large and juicey... steak delicious. The deserts were also impressive. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend L'Angolo Blue to anyone who is considering an Italian restaurant for a large party or small event. I am not aware of any other restaurants in the area that can even compare in terms of quality and service.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
