truck stop-style diner with the kind of open-faced sandwiches your grandfather always insisted you finish every last bite of because they would "put meat on your bones." the veggies are straight from a can and the potatoes from a box but i care not. if you have an oldster in your life and you are in the 570, take 'em here for lunch. they'll love it.

Little Mom & Pop diner, they do a good breakfast and lunch business. Not sure if they are even open for dinner. Waitresses are friendly. It is a comfortable, roadside diner.

Exploring the area... was starving and saw 4-star review. Staff is friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean, older but charming... like you jump into a 70's-80's movie once you enter. I should've listened to the waitress recommending a burger or grilled chicken BLT sandwich for lunch. I ordered a BBQ/cole slaw sandwich. It came out to be a shredded deli turkey sandwich with some BBQ sauce and coleslaw, with chips and pickle. It actually was not bad-tasting but not what I expected. I now wonder how the burgers are... now I'll never know! Lesson: get BBQ at a BBQ place, get burgers/hotdogs/etc at local diners/eats.

It was OK.... Burger cooked to order.... Not drenched in American cheese as said on menu... Locals like.

I've been going here for a number of years. We used to go here for breakfast before school back in the late 80s. And if you checked attendance sheets from the late 80s at the nearby Central Columbia High School, I am sure you will find a few with my name on it that state the reason I was late for school was "Needed seconds of french toast at Kemler's". It's good food at a good price.
