    After forgetting about this restaurant for a couple years, we have recently began frequenting Stefano's again and I am impressed with the recent improvements! I have had a pasta dish, a Margherita pizza, Sicilian pizza, and numerous salads from Stefano's and was impressed by the quality and freshness of ingredients, the fast service on a busy Friday night, and the clean, pretty ambiance of the restaurant. It's definitely one of our go-to weekend eat out spots, especially as we tighten our budget for an upcoming wedding. Great prices- clean, yummy food.

    I would be inclined to give this place 3 stars except I just had some really wonderful dishes here tonight that earned it a 4th star! This is the second time I've dined here... the first time I loved my pitcher of sangria too get a great feel for the food. I remembered the wood fired pizza being decent and my entree as pretty good, but I wasn't in a rush to get back. This time I stuck with one drink so I could enjoy and remember what I was eating. I had the Ragu D'oro which was house-made pappardelli pasta with filet mignon Ragu. This dish was awesome... the homemade pasta was excellent - its a must try even if you get a different sauce - and the filet ragu was spot on. The flavors reminded me of similar dishes I've had restaurants in wine country (Napa and Sanoma). I was with my family and they had pappardelli with vodka sauce and meatballs and the Chicken Cardamuro. The meatballs were excellent, the vodka sauce tasted a little sweet to me, and the chicken was fabulous with a panko coating over risotto. Entrees are served with a salad or soup and bread - the bread came with some roasted pepper dipping sauce that was excellent. I would say this place is a cross between Italian-American and actual Italian. I've kind of gotten worn out with the typical Italian restaurants all serving oversized portions and food that seems like its for the mass market. Stefano's differentiates their menu enough from competitors while still offering traditional favorites, so I will definitely be back for more!

    ordered an appetizer: their homemade mozz/tomato/basil. The tomato was from a supermarket while beautiful, flavorful tomatoes were available at many local farms and roadside stands.. It was beyond tasteless. The basil had been chopped earlier and was black around the edges, yuk! They removed it from my bill. My biggest concern was the patron sitting next to me at the bar. He ordered take-out and when he got up to leave, I saw a huge revolver stuck in his pant's waist-band. WTF! Where was the holster and what made him wear it inside? Never going back. Dangerous.

    Are you kidding me. This used to be decent restaurant. They must have got a new chef. Don't order anything but pizza. Otherwise you will be disappointed. I have come here regularly for a few years with my parents because it is close. The food WAS ok. Now? Forget it. Don't bother. The new chef could not make a scrambled egg.

    Meals are pretty good here. But I have to say not on a par with what they used to be. Still very good pizza and basic pasta dishes. Nice atmosphere. Service generally good.

    Me to wife on Friday night, "Instead of take-out, let's go have pizza and drinks at Stefano's". Big mistake! They had a private party happening in the main dining room and after encountering 2 people arguing over a parking spot in the really tight lot, I figured we were in for a wait. Hostess said it would be a 10-15 minute wait which I can live with. A gentleman scooched over at the bar and allowed us to belly up. Got a13 oz "pint" and wife got the $8 pinot "special". Checked out the menu at the bar. Looks like they bumped up the prices. $10+ apps and $25+ pasta dishes. IMHO yelp should rate it $$$. A little much for Italian. Would have liked to rate the food but after getting an apology for our wait at 30 minutes, "we're clearing a place now", we walked out after 45 minutes of still waiting. Hostess s/b up front at the start. Would have eaten at the bar if told the wait was going to be lengthy. Plenty of Italian options out there. Won't come back.

    One of, if not my favorite restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. Chicken Parmesan, penne vodka, pizza - you name it, they are all great! I like sitting at the bar when there, the bartenders are very friendly.

    Went for the first time on Valentines Day 2015. We think we found a new local fav. The service was great. The service was quick and we dont expect it in the Lehigh Valley. We got the fried mozz to start. The mozz is fresh. We also got a special Valentini drink which was reallly good. My wife had scallops. She said they were perfect. I had veal which wad good. Cheesexake for dessert. No complaints and we'll be back.

    I have gone here a few times in the past couple of months. I recommend the Upside Down Pizza, the Salmon Burger and my favorite the Hog Wings. Its a nice place with a casual atmosphere. When I was younger I remember it as a "once in a while" or "nice date" place. It still is a good place for a date but much more laid back than I remember. Nothing laid back about the food though, top notch.

    The tomato and basil pizza was amazing! We asked for extra well because we love crispy crust and it honestly came out perfect. This is the best pizza in the lehigh valley- the service was great, we sat at the bar and the bartender took great care of us- he was very knowledgable about the wine menu and very attentive! The calamari was also excellent- overall this exceeded our expectations! We will def be back!!

    Used to love this place. Sure, a little pricey for what it is, but they were nice enough to help us navigate the menu considering our vegan lifestyle. In short, just left with a take out order for a relative recovering from surgery. Waited at the bar over a beer for the meal. Got our bag, saw the slip- take out for "young idiots". Called in, manager seemed apologetic, but said he knew this was common practice. His name is on the slip. So now I'm the jerk on yelp that gave 1 star for a one-off crappy experience. But you know what? After spending hundreds of dollars and 25% tips, warranted.

    This establishment came reccomended by the staff at my hotel, so my date and I decided to try it out; we were sorely dissapointed. We were placed at a back table and ignored by the staff for more than 20 minutes before being offered beverages. We asked for the house red wine, which we immediately sent back because of its off taste. My salad was ok, my date's lemon chicken orzo soup also tasted off. Our entrees, both alfredo sauce based were bland, pasty and salty. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the check; the wine was not removed, and we had little desire to stay and argue with the staff at this point. My date quipped that Olive Garden would have made a more romantic evening, and I dare say thats probably where we'll go next time we want Italian food.

    I was happily surprised to learn about Stephano's when some friends invited us out for dinner. It's not located right in downtown Bethlehem where we typically dine, but just off route 512. So really easy to get to from 22. Everything was great. Drinks, apps (definitely order a side of meatballs), salads, main course (Chicken Cardonmura) and their in-house italian deserts. There was plenty of parking and you can make reservations a couple hours before you go. Super kid friendly. My daughter loved going to the desert counter and sampling the gelato with her friends. If you feel like Italian and are in the neighborhood it is a great choice.

    Came for the music (again) and really enjoyed the food. Very happy that we were able to get a table close to the band - they draw a good crowd. We enjoyed calamari as an appetizer. It's something that have given up on as we've had too many platefuls of rubber bands at other restaurants....but this was done perfectly and had a great dipping sauce! I had a delicious pizza - Umbria - grilled pancetta ham and caramelized onion baked on a perfect crust. Hubby had the salmon special. Both dinners were very good. We even got dessert, carrot cake, but it was somewhat disappointing. Service was good to start, but server forgot about us near the end of the night. Will come back though, but no to dessert.

    The service at Stefano's is always great. The food and drinks are always good as well. I highly recommend any of the wood burning pizzas they have on their menu.. They're all really excellent! Great spot for families or for date night, overall I would recommend this spot to anyone!

    Mother's Day Mess! Four of our pasta dishes were served too undercooked to be edible - sent all back. The tilapia was burned and terribly over-seasoned with pepper, as were the Italian wedding soups. Potatoes as a side were literally uncooked and not edible. They ran out of the staple side dish of mashed potatoes before 6pm (the beginning of dinner time). The ravioli were basically the children's dish with more raviolis and double the price. A pitiful restaurant.

    Excellent pizza. Service is very good. They take care of you. Penne vodka had terrific flavor; got a bit rich toward the bottom of the bowl. But that's a nitpick.

    I honestly don't get the two stars. I'll say this, Stefanos is a bit overpriced for what they are putting on a plate, but I think it deserves three stars at best. It's pizza and basic pasta. It's not out of this world, but for the Lehigh Valley, they do a good job. Their menu is a bit all over the place but again, this is a super casual Italian/pizza joint in Bethlehem, so you need to check yourself before getting upity. Also, don't go here expecting to go easy on your arteries. They have an appetizer that consists of potatoe chips covered in blue cheese dressing with an option for chunks of deep (and I mean deep) fried chicken with wing sauce. Yeah. Double up the gym hours before you go here. Service is friendly and efficient. No complaints. I've been before and I'll be back.

    I can't comment on the food here. I am still waiting for it to be brought to the table. There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge on the floor. If there had been a manager, perhaps my family's long wait would have been noticed and resolved. I asked the waitress, about 45 minutes after our appetizer had been served, if there was a problem with my order (burger, pasta, cheese steak) and she replied, "No, it should be coming out soon." So, I guess this is the norm here. I think that she cut out of the place for a while as I didn't see her for about twenty minutes at one point. That might have been the time that she would be clearing our table in preparation for our main course (we made a nice, neat pile in the table center). I would be shocked if this poor excuse for a restaurant is actually Italian owned. This was our worst experience in any Italian (presumably) owned business, ever. Disgrazia... The place was not crowded. We won't be back.

    Totally embarrassed that I took my mother here for Mothers Day dinner. There were no potatoes left, of any kind, on the menu by 7 p.m.. Two persons had ordered the tilapia w/lump crab which was so salty it was inedible, and the specks of crabmeat were ridiculous (certainly no lumps). The veal marsala was like chewing on a piece of rubber. The gnocchi with alfredo was dry and tasteless. I could have cooked all 3 of these meals MUCH BETTER at home. What a waste of money and a ruined Mother's Day dinner.

    I've been frequenting Stefano's for over 7 years now. Stefanos is a nice local Italian restaurant/pizza place. Outside, Stefanos is pretty nondescript, with a pretty odd parking lot. Its a long and tight, but can hold a lot of cars. Inside, when you first walk in you are greeted by a Hostess stand, and a deli counter directly in front of you. I think its full of deserts (cant remember), but is a little odd. You will also see the pizza oven as well. To the left is a dining room, and to the right is the bar and yet another dining room. The menu at Stefano's is pretty varied featuring Italian dishes, steaks, and pizza. They have a pretty good assortment of appetizers to choose from, and my mom and wife love the calimari. I have had pizza and steaks there. The steaks are good, but not steakhouse quality. They are on par with an Outback, but nowhere near Blue, Shula's or Morton's. The pizza is good, its not the best in the valley, and is a little, well ordinary. It could benefit from a little more kick in the sauce, or something just to jazz it up. If you get an entree, they will serve bread with it, and their bread is very good. Pet peeve of mine is bringing out bread with really cold butter, and they do that here. If anyone from Stefano's is reading, warm up the butter so people dont destroy the bread buttering it. Salads have always been fresh and crisp, and the dressings are pretty good. Desserts were mediocre at best, so perhaps you can go elsewhere for dessert. Overall its a nice place, good for date night.

    I ate here a while back with my family. It was only ok. Server seemed overworked - too many tables to take care of even though she hustled. Prices could be considered fair if the food and ambiance were better. With so many other italian choices in the Valley I will not return.

    Having been to Italy and having eaten my way through the country, I am pretty picky about my Italian food. A benchmark of gauging whether or not a place serves good to excellent food lies within their marinara, as this is the basis for most sauces and other dishes. When I was at Stephano's, I ordered the basic spaghetti-a strategy I use when visiting a new Italian restaurant. The noodles were soft ( I like mine al dente) the sauce watery and had virtually no taste-it was like they took a few cans of tomato paste and diluted them with water. It was awful! The prices were a bit high as well. Not a place I will ever go back to. Funny thing, I mentioned I went to Stephano's to a friend and told her I ordered the spaghetti-she told me that was the worst dish to order there...well, I won't give them a second chance to order anything different.
