It's constantly packed with senior citizens who I imagine go here only because the food is dirt cheap. You get what you pay for. I was served an extremely undercooked chicken dish that was basically raw in the center. I sent it back and they comped it without putting up a fuss. They asked if I wanted something else, but that freaked me out enough that I just left rather than take my chances again.

What you expect out of a Pennsylvania diner, which definitely isn't a bad thing. Spacious restaurant with little to no wait. The menu is huge for breakfast with everything you want plus a few interesting options like stuffed French toast and piña colada pancakes. Menu a bit confusing with the different pages and options but, again everything you want and need. And the prices are amazing. I'm from DC so I expect cheap out here but we had 8 eat for 50 dollars total including tax and no one went hungry. Pretty unbeatable. I had pumpkin pancakes and home fries. They needed some apple butter or spiced butter but the pancakes themselves were delicious. The home fries with crispy and not too greasy but flavorful. The country fried steak and gravy was good as was the Texas toast French toast with syrup. Every meal came with orange juice or coffee. The service was friendly but lots of forgetting of items. Overall I would definitely go back and come here over the chains.

Been here a few times over the years and it is just OK. Very typical diner fare. Stick with a sandwich and you'll probably be fine.

Pretty good diner, as others mentioned. Prices are exceptional. Great amount of food for what you spend. Lots of options. Been here several times and never had anything bad. Latest trip I had maple syrup glazed salmon as a part of 2 for $20 deal. Two people got to have their choice of salad bar or soup, a personal appetizer, main entree, a side vegetable or potato, and then a dessert. Another person in my group got the prime rib for $10.95, which also included soup or salad bar, and a side. I ordered the maple glazed salmon. Good, not great. Almost a bit too sweet for me, but still enjoyable. Prime rib tasted better, I thought. In summary, if you have a large group and don't want to spend a bunch, especially if you have kids, this is a great place. If you're looking for fine cuisine, better to go elsewhere.

This is one of the best places to have breakfast or dinner. You get a nice portion with soup or salad and dessert. Prices are very good. Tony, Melissa, Georgiana and everyone else are the best.

Terrible customer service. The manager goes around yelling at customers if their feet are out of the booth at all. The owner speaks horrible English and doesn't care how his manager acts. Foods cheap and ok quality. Wouldn't go there again though.

I eat brunch here all the time. I find the breakfast potatoes to be amazing. In general, this is a completely run of the mill diner with average service. But I can get a full meal with salad and dessert for under $10. Hard to beat. The amount of elderly persons eating here should be enough to tell you that it's a really good bang for the buck kind of place. It's always packed here and there's a big line around mealtimes. I think the breakfast specials with coffee are under $3-$4. Very well-priced. Try the egg sandwiches with pork roll (never got a hair in mine). Oddly, they also have a bar inside and they serve cheap Yuenglings. All their "bar food" seems to be frozen, though.

I had never eaten here until this past week when after a family function a family member that loves diners suggested coming here and that he would pay for lunch. At that price I'll try anything once. We were seated promptly and our drink order was also taken right away. After that the server disappeared for a good ten minutes until the drinks were brought to the table and the food order was taken. The food itself was OK. The kids grilled cheese was pedestrian. The kids spaghetti and meatball was the size of an adult portion and was entirely too hot to be brought to the table for a child. A ham and cheese omelet was huge and decent as expected although the homefries were burnt to a crisp. Two entree salads were ordered and each was reviewed very well. One minor issue was that our server couldn't figure out from the kitchen if they still had any stuffed peppers left. The person in our group that ordered them was told twice that they had some and then that they didn't have any left only to be forced to order something else just to have the stuffed peppers served anyway. One big knock on the service was that we were never offered drink refills and our server again disappeared until it was time for the check. (It wasn't that busy and she didn't have that many tables.) Overall the food was nothing different than what you would expect from your typical dutchy greasy spoon diner and the service left something to be desired but clearly people come here simply because it's cheap and I guess for some that will allow you to overlook all other issues.

Food was ok, diner style. Portions were decent and price was good. Service on the other hand was terrible. From start to finish everything seemed like too much trouble for our waitress. She wouldn't even bring the food to each person but instead made us hand it to each ohter. Plus we had to constantly flag her down for drink refills or anything else we needed. Some of us got meals that came with desert, but instead of asking us what we wanted, she just brought the bill. When I asked her if we get desert, she said "oh I guess if you want it". Our party was 12 people and we asked to have separate bills. They mistakenly added drinks onto our bill from one of our other party. When I went to pay, I asked them to take the drinks off and they said they couln't because the other people had already paid and that we should go after them for the money. Like I was going to chase them down! It was only about $3.00 so reluctantly I just paid the bill. I complained to the manager about the whole "service" issue to which he did not seem to really care. In my eyes he could have taken the two drink off my bill as a small gesture but instead he refused. I will not be going back. Brad

Ok. So I've been in the food service industry. I know things happen. I've eaten here a bunch. Last weekend, got takeout egg sandwiches, bit right into a hair. The service isn't amazing, the atmosphere is average, so it was kind of a deal breaker. Again, I realize how much hair I've eaten in my lifetime. It's just the thought of thinking about eating the hair while I'm eating.

So, there are people who eat here frequently and rave about The Palace. Me? No thank you...once and done. I went on a Sunday morning when it was fairly crowded, but got seated right away. Parking is horrendous, but I knew that going in. There are two entrances, and one comes out right in the middle of one of the dining rooms. I think they must leave it open for the handicapped, because the main entrance has stairs. Anyway, this entrance confuses both patrons and hosts/hostesses. I came in the middle of the dining room, and waited at least 3-4 minutes until a hostess even came over to take us to our table. By then, we were in line with people in front of us and behind us. We were seated as far across the restaurant as you could fathom, and after at least another 5 minutes of waiting, we got a "What do you want to drink?" from a waitress who seemed both exhausted and ticked off. She did not introduce herself, nor did she ask the question nicely - it seemed as though we were bothering her. And she was not young - she knew she was being rude. As we sat down, the table next to us called the manager over because the waitress (the same one) had gotten their order wrong. I ordered a Belgian Waffle with fresh strawberries. I was with two other people, who got another Belgian Waffle with Apple Cinnamon Topping and a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel, respectively. When we were not-so-nicely asked for our order, one in our party got a "we're out of bagels" not an "I'm sorry" or "We're out of bagels but we have this, this and this instead" just a "we're out". At this moment I almost spoke up and gave the waitress a piece of my mind. We placed our orders and were told in another few minutes the food would be a little bit, because The Palace only has ONE WAFFLE IRON. You mean a place with at least 75+ tables that serves breakfast daily has ONE WAFFLE IRON? WOW. The food came out and it was mediocre at best. My waffle with fresh strawberries looked like the strawberries were a few days old and a bit mushy. The other waffle with hot apple cinnamon topping was neither hot nor had cinnamon on it...it looked like the apple pie filling you get in a can. Oh, and neither of us were offered butter or syrup for our waffles. And the bacon, egg and cheese on toast wasn't even toasted. The only plus - the place is cheap. But I would never go here again. The food is lackluster and the service is HORRIBLE. There are so many other GREAT places in Bethlehem and the surrounding area to get a GREAT breakfast with friendly service - I don't know why ANYONE would ever choose The Palace.

Good basic sandwiches, salad bar, and specials. Liked the Mousaka (one of few Greek selections). Mousaka, soup, and desert for $8. Lots of retirees.
