I have been here once so far, for breakfast on a Sunday. The inside is really cute like Lucy Arnaz's kitchen. The service on the day we went was not so great. We had to wait a long time for our food and the server was inattentive and seemed kind of annoyed to be there. The food was pretty good, noting to rave about, but it wasn't bad either. I will give it another try.

If you like to use a lot of syrup on your pancakes be prepared to pay!! I received 2 near thimble sized syrups with my order of delicious chocolate chip pancakes then when I requested a third as 2 was barely enough for 1 pancake I was charged $1 for another thimble sized squirt of syrup. Man at the register claimed syrup cost $75 a bottle perhaps he should consider a different brand ? I don't know. Haha! Food was good though I unfortunately will not be going back for some time do to syrup dispute and unwillingness for staff to offer a resolution.

I discovered Mitzi's several months ago when a friend posted on Facebook about it. I love to go out for brunch on weekends, and the place is near where I live, so I stopped in. I loved the retro decor immediately and it gave off a homey vibe that made me anxious to try the food. On that first visit I had the southwest benedict. It was amazing, and before I left I had already decided to come back the following weekend to try something else. The classic benedict is wonderful, plus I have had some other great variations on special, such as a recent duck confit benedict. A unique twist that is occasionally on special is a benedict served on salmon filets instead of a biscuit or English muffin, a great low-carb option when it's available! I would say 70-80% I order breakfast, and I've never been disappointed! I sit at the front counter which usually means service from the owner. I go so frequently now (almost every Sunday) that before he even approaches me he pours the cup of coffee that he knows I'll order! I often order from the specials menu because there are so many unique and flavorful creations. I watch the Facebook page where they post specials with photos, and often know what I'll order before I even arrive. The service has been unbeatable. One specific example: The weekend before St Pat's day they had specially made beignets with a Bailey's infused cream and chocolate ganache drizzle. I had talked to a friend the night before about splitting an order. That morning, my friend got delayed and wasn't going to arrive for about an hour. The owner split the order for me (I requested to pay for the full order on my check and surprise my friend), and made 2 of the 5 beignets for me, and the remaining 3 were made fresh for my friend when she arrived. I have also seen specials posted on Facebook during the week, and asked on the weekend (after new specials were posted) if they could make one of the previous specials, and they have accommodated the request. Oh, and I never leave without taking a couple apple dumplings (made with apples from local Scholl's Orchard) to go for a quick lunch during the week! When I get there late enough to feel like I should order lunch, my go to favorite is the po boy with oysters and garlic parm fries. So delicious! Last tidbit: A family I am good friends with had a less than stellar experience at Mitzi's not long after it opened. After hearing me rave about it, they decided to give it another try, and I ran into them there. They were so happy they gave it another chance, and said they will definitely return again! As others have mentioned, they gladly accept credit cards but strongly prefer cash, especially for the tips. Keep in mind that while it costs you the same, they have service fees on credit card payments. Support small business by bringing along a few bills, if you can. :-)

Love this place !! Everything I have had so far has been amazing from shrimp and grits to french toast loaded with fruit! Great place for breakfast and lunch! Must try and good coffee

This was my second experience here. The first one I was not impressed but I thought let's give it another chance. Our waitress was rude and not very attentive. Now I might be out of line at this . I consider myself very experienced in dining but if you tell the waitress you just do not like something and she talks to the owner to please replace it with something else don't most places accommodate you? The owner refused to replace one soup with another. I have never heard of this. Needless to say we won't be back.

Food is good, service is hit or miss. I had the biscuits & gravy for our last Sunday brunch here, while my husband went for the nanner nutter pancakes. His was divine...my biscuits & gravy were pretty good but the eggs served with it weren't nice & fluffy like I like my scrambled eggs. I added a side of homefries, which were delicious. Make sure to get some of their house-made hot sauces to try with them. Dessert to go was a big piece of chocolate cake...nice flavor, but a little dry. Service always seems to be the issue here. The owners are as sweet as pie, and whenever I see them, life is good. But some of their wait staff doesn't seem to have an eye for keeping customers happy. I understand that food is going to take a bit at a place like this, but my water glass shouldn't stay empty for 10+ minutes. And I get cranky when I've been sitting with empty plates on my table for more than 10 minutes while the server is standing up at the counter, chatting away. I'm more than happy to pay a premium for a nicer breakfast, but it should have better service than a random diner in exchange.
(3)Heather S.
We have been there twice now, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times were great! The food is so yummy. Grilled cheese special was awesome. The naner nutter pancakes unbelievable Definitely will be back.

Great food friendly staff and adorable atmosphere! The food is fresh and tasteful! The oatmeal French toast is by far my fav. A bit disappointed that you can't bring in outside drinks (coffee) I'm pretty particular about coffee and was looking forward to enjoying my favorite breakfast with my favorite cup of coffee (Amy's coffee connection- the best in the valley) until I was told no other outside beverages allowed! Please change that silly rule esp if it's coffee!! Overall this is still my favorite breakfast spot!

We had a fantastic Sunday Brunch at Mitzi's this past weekend, our first time there. We had a lot of people telling us how good the good was and we were not disappointed at all. I chose the Chip Beef over Texas Toast with home fries and it was EXCELLENT! I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms but the earthy looking creamed chip beef was very tasty, not too salty and way better than the normal stuff you see at diners. My wife chose a simple Egg Sandwich with homemade sausage on an oversized English muffin ( also home made ) and that also was very good. Their sausage is really good, not your frozen variety for sure. Our total bill was about $22 plus tip which I thought was very reasonable considering the quantity of food you get and especially the QUALITY. I've seen others mention it's like having a trendy NYC restaurant in the Lehigh Valley and I totally agree. There was nothing on our plates that was frozen or even resembled what most Valley residents are used to. But the nice thing is that it's a very casual place with great food and I think most will love it. It does get busy and it's small inside so expect to wait....but trust me, it's worth every minute and every dollar.

New to town and we stopped in for breakfast mid-week. Food and service were excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and the restaurant was so clean which was so nice to see! Will definitely be going back!

Had breakfast today for four, which could be summed up by one word: okay. Wait: The wait time for a table around 12:15 was only 20 minutes, however we waited far longer for our food (not orders that even took that long to prep). Food: The food was decent, but has a lot of room for improvement. The fries taste frozen and are likely fried in oil that's too low in temp or in too big of batches, lowering the oil temp. Could be crispier on the outside and more flavorful. The garlic parm fries should be tossed in the seasonings and not just have them added on top. Nothing really stood out, which made it kind of overpriced for what it was. I had the Vietnamese Banh Mi. Essentially pulled pork and Cole slaw, not much Vietnamese influence. The coffee was great. Service: Not bad, though the kitchen seemed to have trouble with other tables timing, meaning some main courses would come out, then there might be a few minute wait before more for the table. Can't have that happening. In time they might correct some things to become a mainstay in the area, and I'll definitely come back to give them another chance, but at this time there are a lot of other options at that price point with food that is more memorable and impressive with less of a wait. Check it out once and decide whether you'd like to continue going.

The decor, the menu, the staff, all so far have been great. Kielbasa, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll, delicious!! The wife had Southwest benedict and absolutely loved it. I mean come on, it had chorizo in it!!

Went back to Mitzi's for another Sunday brunch. The setting was still warm and inviting and the overall environment was well attended. However, we did have a different experience during this visit. We were greeted by a different waitress who felt that it was appropriate to comment about each of our orders going as far as questioning an item that we ordered. It was uncomfortable. We ordered garlic fries as an appetizer. They were good, but not as crispy as our last visit. Some of the fries in the offering were very soggy. For entrees we ordered the open faced grilled cheese and tomato soup special. On paper, fresh mozzarella, roaster red paper, and spinach on a French baguette sounds perfect. In reality the spinach was not properly strained and the entire bread was soaked to a mush with spinach liquid. The flavors were strong but the bread was more or less inedible. On a positive note, the soup was fantastic. This will not prevent us from trying Mitzi's again, but we will likely wait longer till our next visit.

Great food; I can't wait to try everything on the menu. The service is lacking severely, and if it's the same the next time we are there, I will call ahead a to-go order from that point on. They have a sign at the front of the restaurant that simply says that they are a small business that accepts credit cards, but asks you to consider paying in cash, which I feel is worth mentioning so other Yelpers will know before they visit.

A friend and I went to Mitzi's for brunch today. It was our first time there. It's located in a small strip mall. I had the wild mushroom omelet and she had spinach, tomato and red pepper omelet. Absolutely wonderful. Such a unique menu it was hard to decide. The potatoes that came with it were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The place was packed but the service was great. I cannot wait to go back!

For the most part, my life resolves around breakfast. I think it's not only the most important meal, but the tastiest (when prepared well). So it's no surprise that when I heard about Mitzi's table opening not far from my house that I had to go try their breakfast offerings. My family and I went on a Friday morning, and got there shortly after it opened. We were greeted warmly and seated and a very comfortable booth. We all noticed the unique colors and patterns throughout the cafe, and all agreed it was one of the most well-decorated eateries we have been to. Anyway, about the food....we went in with high hopes, based on the few reviews that were out there and I must say, we were not disappointed at all. In fact, we were elated by the quality, taste, and presentation of everything we ordered and tasted that morning. I chose the wild mushroom fritatta, my husband got the tofu scramble, and my daughter had the very large bowl of yogurt, fruit and granola. We also shared one of the delicious homemade sticky buns (get it grilled!) along with what was the best house-made breakfast sausage we have had in the valley. Both entrees were cooked and seasoned perfectly, which you don't always find in egg dishes at other breakfast haunts. I was so happy to not have to add salt to my fritatta, so major props to the cook for the spot-on seasoning! Even the breakfast potatoes that accompanied the entrees were well-seasoned, crispy and full of flavor. My daughter's yogurt ended up being shared by all of us not only because of the sheer quantity that was delivered, but also because of how much we loved the flavor and texture of both the yogurt and the granola. Last note about the food, if you are there for breakfast, you MUST try the sausage!! I find myself dreaming about it quite often. :) The service was great, and could have been horrible because I believe there was only one waitress working the entire floor that morning. She managed to handle all of her tables extremely well, constantly checking on each of us. She even found time to chat with our table for a few minutes, making it an even warmer and friendlier experience. I am counting the days until we can go back. Hoping to try brunch this weekend, though it's hard to wait until 9 AM for such yummy food! Mitzi's table has now made it to the top of our list of favorite breakfast places in the Valley...

What a wonderful place. Went with the family for brunch. Service was excellent - coffee never went down below halfway. Attentive to the kids. Great selection. Specials were delicious (cherry topped stuffed french toast) as were the sandwiches. We look forward to becoming regulars for weekend brunches. Highly recommended.

We dined here for the first time today. Given the dearth of unique and special breakfast places in the area, Mitzi's was a welcomed surprise! The food was very good, as was the service. A few minor suggestions. 1) The do take credit cards but there are no stickers saying that on the door. For people like me who don't usually carry cash, we would like to know that before we enter. 2) The tea collection was varied but a bit eclectic. For simpler folk like me, I would suggest some staples like lemon, cherry, apple, etc. We did not have any desserts, but, they looked awesome! If you have a food allergy (i.e. gluten) that will work with you. We will be back, and I would enthusiastically recommend this eatery.

I want to give this restaurant five stars for the decor and ambiance. The walls are covered with nice vintage looking things but it's not a giant unorganized pile of tchotchkes either! I thought it was all tastefully done and it all came together. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you! We had the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits. Food was okay but was really nothing to write home about. The shrimp and grits were way too solid (instead of that proper sort of soupy-but-not-watery consistency) and lacked seasoning. The waffles were great but the chicken itself was bland chicken breast strips with a questionably unstable breading that lacked the characteristic crisp you associate with chicken and waffles. However, I would solidly recommend the Thai black sticky rice. Dad said it was spot on and reminded him of when he grew up in Indonesia. Additional note: the breakfast potatoes here are those diced and cubed ones (but fresh potatoes), not the crispy and thin homefries type.

So....I had this big long review and an ISP glitch erased it. I don't have it in me to type it all again, so I'm going to keep this short(er) and sweet(er) than what I normally would have wrote. Just the bullet points: * Please stay away from here. I love this place and I don't want to have to wait because you guys know it has great food and a classy/homey feel. *The Kentucky Brown, the PB/MARSHMALLOW/BANANA pancakes, Choc Chip Pancakes, Roast Pork Sandwich, and Oatmeal Encrusted French Toast are all solid choices. *They like cash more than credit, if you are the type who wants to help a small business. *NY / PHI have places like this. Now there is one in Bethlehem too which may as well have been the type of place you'd see the Sex in the City crew having their weekend brunch...yea....it's that kind of feel...but with really good food. *Take your girlfriend / boyfriend / partner here. You'll look trendy and hip, and in reality it's only a few dollars more than what you'd pay at a typical diner in the area (it's more gourmet folks...and the menu reflects this). *The place is small. Don't take your larger groups here. It's made for 2s and 4s in reality. Enjoy

We ate here on a Sunday around 10 am after church, and were expecting a typical after church crowd waiting for a table. We were pleasantly surprised that there were several empty tables and we were seated immediately. We loved the decor and immediately felt at home. The food was great. Southwest Benedict for me - delicious! And two eggs, potatoes, sausage and toast for my hubby. He said the sausage was fantastic but we both found the potatoes to be pretty lackluster. They were plain and in need of seasoning. The coffee- STRONG. I loved that their mugs are huge though! The service- not great. There were two servers taking care of all of the tables and two hostesses standing around just waiting for guests to arrive- basically doing nothing. It took forever to get a refill on coffee and some water- something that one of the hostesses could have easily done to help out. The food makes up for the service and we will be back!
(4)Karen W.
Super yummy Saturday brunch. Great menu options with both breakfast and lunch choices. The decor is retro and cute. Our server was a bit cranky but otherwise it was an excellent experience.
(4)Mary M.
Great spot for a bunch/lunch! The place is small so you may need to wait if its the lunchtime rush. Great specials everyday.
(5)Joe S.
One word. Amazing! Been there twice for breakfast and once for lunch. Shrimp & grits were simply delicious and oyster po boy best I've had in a long time. Also try the Thai sticky rice for a sweet treat. The owner also makes his own award winning hot sauces and you can try them all. I highly recommend this place and once you do there is no question that while your eating you'll already be thinking about what you're going to order when you return
(5)Tana B.
Here right now for father's day and can't say more great things. The food was inventive and delicious. It has now become our favorite breakfast spot, Surpassing Bill's and Blue Star. They've considered every detail in decor as well to showcase the perfect atmosphere... It all ties together.
(5)Kitchen B.
went here on a referral but was almost immediately disappointed . the hostess acted as if it was a chore to seat us, looking over the menu and the prices were rather high for this hole in the wall strip mall location, ordered and when the food came was sadly disappointed in the eggs benedict for the lack of the item on the plate and the price ..hmm last time I look eggs were not $9 a dozen so why skimp on the egg? go find your self a cheap diner you will pay a lot less and get your monies worth.
(1)cheryl m.
Was excited to see this place open!!!! Can't say enough about the quality of the food as well as the variety on the menu. Daily specials are to be taken seriously. Never had a bad meal here....you won't be disappointed. One of my favorites are the southwest eggs Benedict and also the chipotle fries.
(5)Andy A.
Awesome need addition to the Valley. Great food and reasonable prices. Friendly staff, so happy this place opened!
(4)Janis H.
Was very excited to see a new breakfast joint in town with original recipes and inventive menu. Unfortunately, the food quality was very poor. The beignets we raw in the middle and buried in powdered sugar...literally buried. The coffee was absolutely undrinkable. My florentine Benedict was soggy, over-salted and begging for something fresh and crunchy on the plate. The owner was there and didn't seem concerned with hearing feedback about his food. Service was fair at best. A sad disappointment.
(1)Amina C.
Very tasty new brunch and lunch place, thoughtful menu items and great service. It's a nice addition to the Lehigh Valley!
(4)Jennifer D.
Excellent food, great service, beautiful interior. Coffee, though is not great, scalding hot and lacked flavor. Could use a few kids menu items, some crayons, and cups with lids for parents bringing little ones. Otherwise excellent.

a GREAT menu, creative and out of the ordinary. don't judge this book by it's cover when driving by

My husband, myself and our 6 year old daughter went for breakfast. We had a gift certificate to use. We heard from others that the menu is a brunch menu so prices were higher so we were prepared. They do not have a children's menu and I asked our server if they can do a kids portions of scrambled eggs, which she said yes they can. I ordered biscuits with gravy and it came with 2 eggs. When I cut into the whites of my eggs, a watery substance gushed out. I showed our waitress and she said I will be right back. When she came back she told me they cook the eggs in oil and that is why they are watery. Needless to say I did not eat my eggs, because I don't think they were cooked all the way and they were not concerned. I also asked the waitress if my daughters eggs were a children's portion because the portion was really big. She looked at me and walked away. My husband ordered oatmeal french toast, and added on a side of home fries and sausage. I added on a side of bacon. We had 2 coffee's, 2 milks and an orange juice. Our total bill was $53.00 for breakfast. They charged my daughter for an adult portion of food. When I went to pay the bill the man asked how everything was, so I questioned being charged for adult portion of eggs when I was told that they could do a kids portion. He said that they do not have a kids menu. Which I said the waitress told us that but I asked if they could do a kids portion, and she said yes. He then looked at me and said that I should have asked for 1 egg portion. Seriously The adult portion was 2 eggs, if I asked for a kids portion wouldn't that be 1 egg? He picked up a cookie and handed it to me and said here you can have this. To which I said no thank you. The restaurant was decorated very cute and clean inside. The waitress did not seem very happy to be there. We love the Breakfast table and Bean Bath Cafe. They are a little pricy but you get an excellent quality of food and service. We did not receive either here. My breakfast and my daughter's breakfast were simply eggs, home fries, bacon, toast/biscuits, and a diner could have executed that much better and at half the price.
(2)John L.
Simply wonderful lunch. Fish tacos were great.
(5)Maurice K.
Went to Mitzi's Table for breakfast today. They have a great variety of things on the menu. Something for everyone from traditional eggs, potatoes and meats (Bacon, sausage). Everything was prepared well and the sausage was house made with great flavor. The potatoes were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Portions were perfect. You have to try one of their 6 homemade hot sauces. They are not so hot that they mask the flavor of anything, but enhance the meal. They also sell the hot sauce when in season (they grow and blend their own peppers). Only ding would be the coffee. It seems watered down/thin. If they fix the coffee, it would be exceptional. I can't wait to visit again.
(5)R J.
Everything we've tried here has been great. I love the honey chipotle sauce on fries, give it a try, it's not too spicy. The menu is only one page, but it's very eclectic. Several vegetarian options. Only con is the hours, we find it hard to get here before the close.
(5)Monica F.
We were looking for a new breakfast place to try out so I came to yelp and so glad I chose this place! If it wasn't for yelp I wouldn't have known about this hidden gem. Even driving there I was surprised where it was and it doesn't look like much from the outside. Which, hey, I guess a good place doesn't need huge signs or a lot of advertising. The place is super clean and has a retro modern look, adorable! Staff is very nice! Food was delicious! We went basic, I got basic breakfast of eggs, toast, hash browns and sausage. Boyfriend got an egg and sausage sandwich with hash browns. He doesn't like whole potato hash browns, which these are, but he loved these. And they were baby red potatoes. The homemade sausage was delicious. When we were leaving they were putting out coconut macaroons and had some other yummy looking sweets on the counter, we were too full to try anything this time. Prices are a little above what a regular breakfast place charges, but the quality of the food is worth it. Not your typical greasy eggs and potatoes. We will be back for sure.
(5)Rory F.
Food is delicious, great menu made it hard to choose just one thing. The atmosphere is so adorable almost makes you feel like you're eating at grams house. I highly recommend
(5)Melanie M.
The most expensive and disappointing breakfast I've ever had. Do NOT waste your time and money!! Two of us had basic entrees that were served cold with diner grade coffee, and pitiful service. We waited more than 10 minutes for our order to be taken only to be given cold food. Why? There were only 8 guests in the place besides us. We were excited to eat here after reading the newspaper reviews, but utterly disappointed when paying the bill of $32!!!! Never again for me!
(1)Sarah C.
Fantastic place! The atmosphere and decor is great. Food was quick and delicious. I like that a lot of the ingredients are from local farms and businesses. Only open breakfast and lunch. I was able to have lunch and I can't wait to go back and try the breakfast :)
(5)Rachel B.
Excellent food! Great mixture of creative choices and classic favorites. Large portion sizes for everything. Service is a little slow but food definitely makes up for it!
(4)Will R.
I have been to this place four or five times in a two week span. The food is beyond good. The staff are extremely friendly and cater to your wants and needs extremely well and professionally. If you haven't visited this little breakfast/brunch establishment then you need to make time to go. You will not be disappointed. I'm gonna go tomorrow again just because of this review I'm writing. Lol. Check it out.
(5)Ed M.
How do you rate a place that has excellent food but you are absolutely annoyed by the time you eat? My rating is up to 3 stars for food and 2 stars for service and ambience. The good.. The food- fresh, unique, and to die for! But you have a high probability you will die before you are seated! Because of Yelp reviews we drove some distance for breakfast. There were about 12 people in a very small waiting area. I thought damn Yelp for the publicity. But my wife noticed that half of the tables were empty. Maybe, everyone came at same time. Five were seated in about 5 minutes. Name was scratched off waiting list! Then, we waited 20 minutes with the other 7. They were making comments about incompetence. Three people came in, heard comments and left. Lost business for empty tables? Admirable! There was plenty of staff. Finally, the 7 waiting were seated. They were scratched off the list. Fifteen minutes later we were seated.. Also scratched off list but were never put on it. When we sat down, 7people were waiting..their turn! Ten minutes later we had coffee and ordered. Food at the hour mark.. Great food! Previous 7 only had coffee- still waiting for food. Except for a 5minute period there were always people waiting for seats to a mainly empty restaurant. But tip-- two ladies came in and bypassed others. They asked to sit at counter. Sure, they even took 2 chairs to sit at the counter. Another lady came in 2 minutes later, that was with party, and asked if they could sit at that empty table? "Sure" and they were moved to an empty table, putting back the chairs for the forever empty table. People waiting still waited for tables. We paid at the counter, had to deal with a iPad sales system whose battery died for another 10 minutes. It was a memorable breakfast. Learned how not to run a restaurant while eating great food. Left through several people waiting for tables that were empty! Try it before all tables are empty!

Very disappointing. First, service was terrible. The waitress did not know some of the specials. Did not ask us if we wanted more coffee and did not do a nice job when one of the items needed to be returned. The items looked wonderful on the menu, but the cinnamon pancakes were very very sweet (Maybe better listed as a dessert.), The salsa wrap was tasty but dry. When we asked the waitress for a little extra sauce, she wasn't sure what to do. (Use ketchup, she said). Most disappointing was the "Eggs on an Island". It was described as an old childhood favorite (Think: Eggs in a Frame, Birdies in a Nest"). What was served was a very sweet french toast with an egg fried to rubber in the middle. Not even remotely what was described. I asked if they could at least make the eggs not so well done. The waitress took my plate, came back with the plate, and said, we'll just bring some eggs. Two eggs did come, but not toast to add to them. I ended eating some of the potatoes (tasty) and the bacon. Waitress took the full plate and never mentioned that the egg and toast parts were not touched. $68.00, including tax and tip, breakfast for four and I had to go home to eat:( So sad.
