If you want great wings and a pitcher of Blue Moon come here! I've been a patron for years. I get there every month or two....It's not a fancy pub. It's literally a divey, hole in the wall with pool tables, free popcorn, and outdoor seating. You come here to let your hair down and eat delicious wings. As for the wings, there are 20+ flavors to choose from. You can't go wrong. I love wings and love trying new things so I normally stay clear of the normal flavors such as hot and bbq and tend to gravitate towards flavors such as Asian Persuasion (PB&J with a small kick), Judgement (Sweet and Sweaty with Garlic), or Down and Dirty (Whisky BBQ).

WHERE AND WHY: On Friday, I had a long and exciting day at Lehigh University. After a great day of discussion, it was time to perform at Zoellner Arts Center. I had heard the choral union sing last semester and noticed that choir members weren't all students. I was excited to hear that community members can come sing! I auditioned and was accepted this year and now I am singing at Carnegie Hall on Friday. It has been such an honor to sing with the choral union. I enjoy the music and I actually feel sharper in my everyday tasks. Music has always been so important to me and I wonder what my life would look like if I pursued music as my career. However, I really enjoy where I am at right now. After our concert, Joe suggested we go to MacGrady's. We hadn't been there in awhile so we thought - sure! why not? THE EXPERIENCE: MacGrady's is a cool, laid-back pub with great burgers. We love the music that they play there. We also feel comfortable stopping in for a bite even though it is a college bar. Service is always friendly. The convenience to campus is always a plus. So...we parked in a lot that tows so when we left the pub, our car was gone. The towing company was very rude and that made our experience more sour than it wound up actually being. Yes, it was our fault for parking in the lot; there were signs. But, we had never had a problem before in that lot. Now, we will park elsewhere if we go back. As an attorney, I was very upset with the lack of respect and civility from the tow company. [end rant] Anyway, the service was phenomenal. Our waiter warned us that our buffalo chicken dip would take a long time because a large call-ahead order was placed moments before our order went in. Luckily for us, we were there just to hang and were meeting up with new friends so it was okay. Our waiter was so sweet and brought us popcorn (love the popcorn!) and a free pitcher of beer while we waited for our grub. He was polite and, even with the towing, we will come back for service like his. Thanks, Raphael! THE FOOD: Joe and I kept it light. We enjoyed splitting the buffalo chicken dip. The chicken was a little gritty for my liking but we were starving and we love us some buffalo chicken! Our popcorn was honestly the highlight of the night. I almost wish we had just split a burger, but now we know for next time. Honestly, the quesadilla burger is to die for. We enjoyed our beers and we had a nice dining experience, despite the wait and the subsequent melodrama from the towing fiasco... I know that this night will become a funny dinner story so I am banking on that to get over the ridiculous fine that we had to pay! TAKE HOME MESSAGE: There's a great quote: "Attitude is the difference between an ordeal and an adventure." Friday night was a reminder that I need to remember this quote more often! Joe and I were still able to accomplish everything we set out to accomplish this weekend. Our celebratory beer and popcorn were hilariously fun. We had fantastic service and it all worked out in the end. I love Joe for his attitude. He doesn't get worked up about things. Sometimes, it can be infuriating. There are moments where I ask "How can you not care!?" but what I have learned is that he cares very much. He just has the ability to not sweat the small stuff. I'd like to think that it's rubbed off on me as we've grown up together over this last year. Who knows, though. I'm just happy we are where we are, going where we are going, and that we can get through anything together. CLOVER RATING: I honestly don't know what rating to give MacGrady's. Looking at the food based on our buffalo chicken dip, a two-leaf clover seems more than fair. However, we had such fantastic service and we know that the food has been better before. The burgers really are awesome, but we had an off visit on Friday. I will give MacGrady's a three-leaf clover thanks to our great service and the fact that we know the food is usually good. We also had a rough night after our dinner so that might be contributing to this review. We will just have to go back and try it again sometime! Okay, well McGrady's or Mac Grady's is a nice place on southside Bethlehem for the younger folk to gather. It's usually loud, there's usually a good amount of tools, and the hot to ugly girl ratio is about 50/50. Their saving grace is their beer selection in my opinion and only about 2 other places within a mile can beat that. If you don't mind the crowds or some shitty dj(which alcohol can mask), then come here! I like the place and no matter the crowd, I always come out.

Huge beer selection. If you're not a Lehigh student or a greasy local, that's the only reason why you would go to this dump. I was a student, and I tried to avoid this place like the plague. It's always dirty and dark inside. The 'kitchen' is behind the bar, and the food it churns out sucks. It's usually loud as hell because of either all the people there or the jukebox that's pumping out some lame music at deafening levels. Awful!

I Used to be a regular at mcgradys a while ago. i decided to visit the bar last weekend for old times sake! Around 1:40 am the bouncer started to scream ordering people to quickly drink up and leave. He also said if anyone needs to go to the bathroom they should do it now!!.I couldn't enjoy my second beer. I did not appreciate the bouncer screaming at everyone. I had to get thrown out at 1:50am!!! I didn't even finish my beer. Everyone that left were very upset about how they were treated. I am NOT going there again. I felt disrespected. They lost a customer and hopefully many more!

Nastiest quesadillas I've ever had but my friends go so i go with. Yes, if they jumped off the bridge, I'd go with. Can't say much for the drinks or the wings never had them. i love the sweet potatoe fries. to be fair i'll give them a 3 stars.

wow. madd people hating on mcgradys. it's one of 3 bars within walking distance from lehigh university, whose social outlet consists of greek life, greek life, and more greek life. so of course it's a college bar filled with kids flashing their recently legit ids. the place was great for: - catching up with other lehigh heads in a non-fraternity space (no offense, greek lifers). - it's free, fresh made popcorn. - it's wings; i recommend the sweet garlic sauce. every establishment caters to a differnet crowd; this one is a dirty college bar catering to college students from lehigh. would i go back? prob not. did i have fun here while i was still in undergrad? hell yeah.

Meh. It's only good if you are out of options for places to go with friends. Otherwise, it's definitely not on my list of places to hang out at. As DC said, the jukebox there pumps out some lame music at deafening levels. Spent my 21st birthday there, but hey, I was an LU student. The wings here are also OK...nothing to write home about. The Tally Ho is better.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST! The staff was rude, beer selection not up to par, and the patrons were unruly. Never coming back!

  • Ted F.

Sure its smoke filled, loud, and service ranges from awesome to crap. BUT The $6 pitchers, the 1/2 price happy hour appetizers, and the burgers make up for it in spades. If you are looking for spit and polish, go elsewhere. If you are looking for good beer selection, descent pub food, and an interesting array of people who may or may not make fodder for morning after water cooler talk - this is your place.

I used to be a big fan of JP MacGrady's, and went there regularly to get their super-hot "kryptonite" wings and burgers. Over the last year or so, though, they've made a bunch of changes that have driven me away. They ditched kryptonite wings, leaving "hot" as hot as it gets. It's not that hot. They changed their fries, taking them from very good to just okay. Their staff turnover seems to have gotten very high. I used to recognize waitstaff pretty often, and now it's always someone new. Still, the burgers are very good and they have a good selection of beer. Their happy hour prices are good. I avoid weekends, because the place gets loud and crowded.

No more smoking at Mac Gradys = hell to the yes! Cheap, cheap, cheap. There were six of us, we had a bunch of pitchers, a bunch of shots, bill was less than $20 per person with a tip. Dope. Service was what I would expect and what anyone should expect from a bar like this. And by that I mean just fine. Good crowd, nice mix which makes for some good people watching. Douche factor is low. Definitely a good place for a beer on the occasional Friday night out in B-hem.

By night.....typical college drink fest....... But by Day.......I'll be honest...my expectations weren't very high as basically my mindset is that this is a college bar with drinks and beat up wooden tables with names of people and their fraternity / sorority carved into the table top. Yes....that is there....with the hint in the air of domestic beer from the previous nights festivities. Went on a Saturday afternoon and was REALLY SURPRISED how good the burger was for the price. 4 of us each got a burger (and there are WAY to many combinations to pick from....all basically in the 10 dollar range).....fries / tots....and shared a nacho at the beginning. NACHO: pretty to look at.....even better to eat. Not one soggy nacho in the bunch (you nacho aficionados out there take note). BURGERS: Everyone really liked them. It is one of those places that has a name for what combination you want........from standards like just bacon to hot dogs (yes...on the burger), saurkraut, ham, peanut butter, etc...and alone or in combinations. Anyway, everyone found a combination they agreed with and basically ate as much as we could. Burger was rather large, but the roll made the thing. Those of you that know that the roll makes the burger take note. All in all...4 of us was about $60 with a the burgers and shared Nacho.....and was worth it. Based on the fact that this is a pub.....it's 4 stars.....I'd go back and know I'd probably get pretty good pub food.

$14.50 for a Jameson on the rocks. This 2 star review is simply for that. The average cost for that drink in the Lehigh Valley is about $7.50. My mind is blown. Every woman, man and child should be aware of this mark up before ordering such a drink.

Awesome and constantly updated draft beer selection, just enough dicey clientele to make things interesting and a solid bartending staff make MacGrady's a regular spot in my rotation. Lots of great wing flavors, too.

Back in the day this would have been an easy 5 star, even now it's hard to say it's a full 4, I don't know what happened to you but things have gone down hill. I can't blame them it's probably cause we moved outta town. ;) It is definitely a college bar, in prime Lehigh territory it's hard to expect much else from a place like Mac Grady's. Lots of beer on tap, great bartenders and staff and usually great music. Also- two bathrooms, one on each side or room, so nice for a bar. Shuffle board tables and pool tables it doesn't get much better than that. So much more chill and low key than Starter's and start coming here and you can call these guys your friends. OH! and don't forget to grab some popcorn from the machine by the door, it is de-licious. I always get a cup to go :)

Fun bar - but definitely geared towards the college crowd. I'm 30 and I felt like I was the oldest person in there...well...I probably was. They allow smoking - doesn't bother me, but FYI. Bartender was super friendly and service was really fast. Shocking for a college bar. PLUS they have a lot of good beers on tap, including ARROGANT BASTARD, one of my favorites. Amaaaaazing. First place in town that I've seen have that on tap. The womens' bathroom in this place is hilarious because it's filled with drunk college chicks who think they have these horrible problems. Since they're wasted they go on and on and on. It's hilarious. I'll be back again! Just maybe when school is out.

I go to McGrady's quite often for happy hour. Yesterday, we went to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived a little late, around 6:15 pm. The place was packed, as it always is around that time, so we were jumping around from table to table. Finally, a group had left and we were able to sit in a booth. We sat at that table for over an hour. No one even came to clean it off from the previous party. We had gotten a few pitchers from the bar, so we were okay to wait a little while we drank. However, we asked THREE SEPARATE servers to come and help us. One told us she'd "be with us in a moment," and then never came back. Another nodded in our direction, then never came over to our table. She wandered around to room checking on every table but ours (but this time, the restaurant had emptied significantly.) The last guy looked over at us while we waved to him, but simply walked in the other direction. I am so shocked about how rude the staff was and how poorly run this bar is. We were a large party, willing to buy a lot of food. But our table was completely ignored while every other group was served. I have never been so insulted in a restaurant. I didn't expect us to be served right away at such a busy time, but there is NO reason for us to have been ignored for an hour. Finally, we left and wen't to Molly's up the street. Excellent service, great food. I don't think I'll be returning to McGrady's. Ever.

Worst bar I've ever been to. They started to kick us out at 1:40AM. Then we were outside once we had complied with their leaving orders: however, they still insisted that we vacate their sidewalk. This place is the worst.

Went here for lunch after a photoshoot at the recommendation of my friend. This place has like a million burger choices. And a great beer list. Cool laid back atmosphere. My friend and I both enjoyed our meal. I had the Southside burger! I also like that they have the option to get bison instead of beef as it is leaner and has a different flavor to it. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time and I love the variety they have in the menu. I will be making a trip here again on the future to try another new burger combo!

I am obsessed with MacGrady's choice of wing sauces! I loveeee wings and the more choices the better. I went with the wing sampler and got drunken leprechaun, mild, spicy garlic parm and judgement. All were great and judgement was weirdly the spiciest but i loved it!! the service wasn't too bad, even though the waiter told me he's not a fan of cheese and beer.. i don't know if i trust anyone that doesn't like either. my boyfriend got a bison burger. it was a little dry and i don't think it was bison... tasted like regular beef to me. this place is great for a calm night out with friends with wings, beer and pool. it's definitely casual, more like a dive bar. i had a great time here and hope to come back again

Perfect for dinner with someone special. Liked how the night went we were here the other night, Service was equick, didn't wait far too long to have orders. Plating was excellent, the food was eye catching. I won't exaggerate but the food taste like heaven. In terms of portion, all has large portions, very intimidating.

I decided to meet up with a friend in the area and she suggested this bar; it turned out to be great. The bar staff is friendly and attentive, the patrons are cool as sh*t. This bar is huge with a pool table, outdoor patio, jukebox and kitchen. It's smoker friendly only if you're on the back deck. Grady's offers a variety of draft beers and offers drink specials 7 days a week. Awesome! Tuesday night was $3 Hop Head IPA, i think. I decided to drink a Yuengling which was somewhat cold. I'm starting to become a stickler for cold beer, its not hard to check your temp gauges at the kegs. Seriously..... I'd recommend this place and hope to come back soon to try the food and taste a frosty beer.

I went to MacGrady's while visiting a friend who lives in Coopersburg. She mentioned a place who had over 20 different options of burgers. No need to say any more - you had me at burger. I chose the Blue and Gray burger. It has blue cheese and bacon on it. I wanted to get crazy and get something like mac and cheese or an egg on my burger, I did, but there is just something about blue cheese and bacon on a burger that gets me every time I see it. The burger was nice and hearty, and it came with a cute basket full of fries as well. The blue cheese wasn't the best blue cheese I've ever had - but I ate the entire burger - so clearly it wasn't horrible. The only gripe I had with my meal is that I ordered my burger well done and it was definitely cooked to medium/medium well. I know a lot of cooks shutter at the idea that someone wants their meat over cooked...but it's my meat, buddy, and I say burn it! When we first arrive it was relatively quiet since it was about two in the afternoon. We had the whole side seating area to ourselves until....literally about 30 college students walked in. They were everywhere, every booth, hopping from booth to booth, and clearly had been hopping from bar to bar. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with college students - go Freshman! - but when I am out to eat with my friends I do tend to enjoy being able to *hear* them. So I thumps up the burger - thumbs down the ambience!

There isn't much good to say about McGrady's. This is as dumpy and annoying of a bar as you can find in the Valley. It's grimy, it's old and really smokey. I don't really mind dumpy bars, but this one is a cut above the rest. The normal clientele are either annoying college kids or the local toothless monstrosities that lurk in the South Side. The bartenders are hit-or-miss here. You might get a decent one if you're lucky, but your chances are slim. To top it off, they play the music overbearingly loud and it's not even good music. This all makes for a wonderful experience. They do have an extensive selection of both microbrews and imported beers on tap. I don't think anyone orders any mixed drinks here and it's probably for the best. The food menu is mediocre to say the least. However, they do make a rather surprisingly good buffalo chicken quesadilla. The rest of the menu is very questionable, almost forgettable. Yeah, the prices are cheap but this might be one of those times to second guess yourself. Dubbed an Irish bar, nothing about the menu or the bar for that matter has anything to do with being Irish. Carrying Guinness or Smithwick's does not classify an establishment as being Irish. Sorry, it just doesn't work that way. If I were Irish and found myself in this place, I'd purposely get drunk and raging for just being here. Cheers!

This is a great dive bar in Bethlehem. I came in about mid-afternoon for a late lunch with my brother. He warned me before I went that the "kitchen" is behind the bar, but still found myself surprised by this fact. I am not really too worried about food poisoning, but I did see they kept bags of wings outside the fridge (maybe to defrost????) on a shelf so low they were basically on the floor (they were still protected by plastic???). In any event, we ordered the wings, lol, judgement style, and they tasted pretty good to me! We also got some other random app, which was also deep-fried and yummy. Our bartender (we sat at the bar) was very knowledgable about the extensive list of beers on tap and offered me a few different samples of a few different stouts before I made up my mind. He seemed very helpful and laid back. There was no smoking here -yay- as others have mentioned, but be prepared to smell like you swam in a deep fryer and then took a shower in burnt popcorn, haha.

Take a "Fat Sandwich" from a Rutgers Grease Truck and 'burgify' it. Imagine 50 variations of said burger. Imagine a 6 hour happy hour where it's 2 for the price of 1 ($10). And it comes with fries. This is JP MacGradys. This is #madness. Down any of that with a $7 pitcher containing 6+ different kinds of beer and you'll be wondering why you don't move to lil ole Bethlehem right now or why they don't move to NYC, up the prices and make it rain. This place is BANGIN'. You get free stuff just for walking in...there's a popcorn machine on the way in...which means you also get free stuff on the way out. Live bands, pool table and a shuffle board. Why didn't I give them a 5!? It is rare that I bestow such an honor on anyone...also, I think it took like 30 minutes for us to get our food. I know the happy hour I mentioned is probably popular and ya'll get backed up, HOWEVER, you should know this and prep for that. I'm no master cook, but you should have several people garnishing the burgers after some dude/dudette puts beef patty upon bun. Like one dude/dudette who puts nachos on the burgers or lettuce or KitKats, etc. depending on what was ordered. If I come back and my order comes out in a timely fashion I will give this place a 5, walk into the kitchen and kiss the cook regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age or national origin.

This is my favorite college bar. I love wing nights on sunday and monday, and BOGO burgers on Saturday. You get what you would expect from such a place, but the main cook is AMAZING. It can be a hit and miss kind of place, but their wings are usually spot on with quality and sauce choices which are varied. Number one place to go for wings for me.

I really enjoy MacGrady's, though it is a smoking bar, so I usually wake up reeking of smoke the next morning. They have a great beer selection, and I really like the large booths (as compared to the tiny ones at the Tally Ho). I've only had appetizers, and they've been pretty good, but it's pretty hard to mess up mozzarella sticks. I've been to trivia night a couple times here, and it's not that great--it's mostly a competition to who can cheat the best, as the winning team usually gets every question right, which is impossible without an arsenal of iPhones and Blackberrys. Prices are about the same as other local bars: $6 pitchers of Coors Light, Blue Moon, and Killian's, and the prices on other pitchers are pretty reasonable. This is definitely a college bar, so if you're turned off by loud, obnoxious Lehigh students, I'd definitely stay away. It's definitely got the "sticky floor" feel to it, and one time I walked in to see a kid face down in his own puke at a booth at 6pm. Definitely hurt my appetite for their 1/2 price appetizers.

This is a go to bar for Lehigh Students, especially after 10 pm and on weekends. During these times it is a miserable, abhorrent exerience, not the fault of the bar, but the patrons. When Lehigh University is not in session the six dollar pitchers (not just the cheap stuff, Blue Moon for instance is always $6), numerous t.v.'s set to every sport imaginable, pool tables, shuffle board and deck seating make this a favorite south bethlehem bar.

I don't know why everyone is hating on MacGrady's. It is the quintessential college bar. *No cover *Free popcorn *Free shuffle board! *Decent beer selection *Cheap beer on Tuesdays Sure it can get crowded and the music sucks, but despite it's flaws, this is a great bar.

Great burgers and steak sandwiches. Many choices when it comes to the burgers and the price is reasonable. Can't say much for the beer, I'm not really a drinker. You can bring your kids into the dining area during the day and even dinner time, much later than that and I'd say the atmosphere probably turns into a bar for adults. Service was great when we went for lunch. Also, thank you to the owners for supporting local charities.

  • Ryan K.

This is quickly turning into one of my favorite Bethlehem bars. Why? A) smoke free! B) the tap list. 40 crazy high alcohol, microbrews (and good pitcher specials if you are a poor Lehigh student). C) the food! The wings here are the best in the Lehigh Valley, and the Drunken Leprechaun wings are some of the best I have EVER had. Add to that a list of 30 insane and perfectly made burgers and I am a happy man.

For being in such close proximity to other bars, MacGrady's really needs to step up their game. I'm going to give everyone else who was present the night I went the benefit of the doubt and assume they were also first-timers who didn't know better, because I cannot imagine who would want to be a regular there. The service was unfriendly bordering on terrible, and the crowd left a lot to be desired (and while that isn't directly the fault of MacGrady's, you ARE the company you keep...). The bar was teeming with individuals who looked like aspiring Jersey Shore cast members which, frankly, made me uncomfortable. I assumed that after imbibing a generous amount, the atmosphere might become more tolerable, but there isn't enough alcohol there to make that place fun. Being caught in a D-List fashion show sea of testosterone on a Friday night with slow service of watered down drinks to boot? No thank you.

  • Samantha S.

I've always liked MacGrady's. There's tons of seating available, it's good for groups, and their trivia nights are really fun. The drinks are cheap. Unfortunately, the Lehigh students have been replaced more and more with local people, so it's gotten to be very smoky, which is nauseating. Happy hour is pretty fun here - the food is greasy goodness. Quesadillas are great, as are the chicken fingers. The mozzarella sticks, potato skins and broccoli and cheddar bites are other good options.

I came here a few times when I was in college at Lehigh University. This place was always really crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so much so that you could barely walk. My favorite time to come here was on Sunday afternoons to get some wings with friends and have a glass of Guiness or Yuengling. I liked how relaxed and quiet it was during that time. On a couple of occasions, I've gotten wings that were dipped in the hottest sauce first, and then the actual sauce I wanted. A few times, I had sent them back because you could clearly taste the other sauce, and they still didn't make me a new batch again. I actually got sick in the bathroom here for that particular reason. +2 stars for the fresh popcorn machine, and the quiet Sundays I spent here.

it's a semi-tradition among friends who have left bethlehem to try to hit this place on xmas eve since it's one of the few bars we know to be open. this year when we got there it was even trashier and shittier than it has ever been before. nice! while we narrowly avoided developing instant emphysema and getting into a bunch of thug wars with everyone inside, we thought we might next be arrested by the army of bethlehem police that showed up at 145 to make sure the place was closing. it seemed like amateur night on crack in general in this area. supposedly this place has a good beer selection and food on off-peak times, so you probably only want to visit then. drinks are really cheap though.

One star for the rude staff. The front door bouncers were mystified by my Washington, D.C.-issued driver's license, and kept telling me they "knew" it was a fake. I had to ask them to call the cops in order to prove it was real. So if you're from anywhere other than Pennsylvania, make sure to bring 10 forms of ID and the doctor who delivered you, or else you'll be harassed.

For the first time in my life I felt like I was getting old while writing this review... When I was 21 (and used to go out ALL the time) I spent at least 3 nights a week at MacGrady's, and the things I'm about to complain about were probably occurring, but it just didn't bother me. So take this review with the warning that if you're a Lehigh student, you probably won't care what I have to say... Anyway, let me start by saying, there's absolutely nothing overly special about MacGrady's (although I do enjoy reading the witty signs all over the walls...) It really is your typical pub/bar that gets packed with younger 20-somethings who are looking to get drunk. The thing that drives me nuts is that these 20-somethings seem to come out of the woodwork at MacGrady's. The place is usually so packed that it takes a half hour to walk from one end of the place to the other, the crowd at the bar is 4-5 people thick, and the only way to get a table is to stalk the people sitting down and pounce like a Puma when they show any signs of leaving. I highly doubt they follow fire codes because people are so jammed in there, there are times when you literally cannot move. The worst is if you need to get to the bathroom from the bar, good luck! The only easy way to get to the back is to hire a guy who is 5'6 or taller, and create a train (everyone grab onto the shirt of the person in front of you) allowing the tall guy in the front to push his way through the masses. And keep in mind, the people you're pushing through have drinks so someone is going to get wet and someone is going to get angry, it's inevitable. No matter how many people are there, the temperature never dips below 85 degrees which makes for a really uncomfortable situation. And not that I even have to say this but it's loud, real loud. Go figure. If you do manage to get a table, find your waitress and take really good mental notes of what she looks like, because it's very likely she will never come back to your table again. The drinks aren't expensive, but they're not cheap either. Although, I do remember them having pretty good specials for beer pitchers and mixed drinks, which is the main reason they got 2 stars versus 1. One thing I noticed a few months ago when I was there last is that they still allow smoking. Now, I KNOW they sell food, so I thought you can't do that anymore in PA, but apparently MacGrady's will let you. I don't smoke so I thought this was horrible. As if it being hot isn't bad enough, now it's hot AND smoky... Like I said before, most of the issues I have with this place wouldn't bother a college kid one bit, but since that part of my life is past me, I guess I have a different outlook so take my words for what you want, but don't say you weren't warned...

Its just really scummy place to hang out. It just seems that there is always tension between the locals and the college students. I went to it a few times and it wasn't good. Its what we call a 'dive bar'. Its a good place to get wasted but not a good place to socialize.

This place is full of low class hooligans. The jukebox is overrun with Dave Mathews, Nickelback, and Hinder. The Lehigh students who go here have to be marginal students. Any other Lehigh students with a modicum of self respect and dignity would not enter a place like this.

MacGrady's was pretty nice. A few of my co-workers and I met there for happy hour one Friday night. The food was decent. I got the mild chicken wings but they were a bit on the hotter side. I liked the $6.00 pitchers of blue moon that we were getting... worked out nicely when splitting the bill between 3 people. The only thing I didnt appreciate were all the Lehigh U kids that went there and stared at everyone else as if they owned the place.

The wings were yummy but I received absolutely, hands-down, THE WORST service I've ever had, even for a dive bar. It took over an hour to get 2 burgers and 2 orders of wings. I had plans to go to a hockey game, so I was on a time schedule and this place was a REALLY bad idea. I watched our waiter/bartender text on his phone for over 10 minutes while we waited for our check after I walked over to him twice to ask for the bill. Also, I paid for 10 wings, received 9, told our waiter who shrugged and walked away. Thanks but I'll go somewhere else next time. There are lots of places to get burgers and wings.

This place is a college bar, don't expect anything else. Loud, Young, Smokey, Cheap, Grimy. I'm giving them 3 stars because they are good at what they do, and you know what to expect when you come. Happy hour is $6 pitchers and half price apps 5-7pm weekdays, and they have other food/drink specials depending on the day - I am a fan of half price steaks on Friday. They have two pool tables and shuffleboard as well.

This place is totally corny. I went in with my family the other day at 2:30 in the afternoon to have a quick lunch, and my sons are not 21 so we were asked to leave. Not to mention the waiter was very rude about it, saying this has been their policy for the last 5 years. So my family and I walked down the street to another pub called Looper's and THANK GOD we were kicked out of MacGrady's. The wings at Looper's were MUCH better than MacGrady's, so I'm happy things worked out the way they did. Anyone even thinking about going to this place, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you drive the extra block to LOOPER'S.

I love this place. I get a veggie burger with a pitcher of beer and a friend, the bill comes out cheap and the service is usually great. The usual waitress I have remembers exactly what I want :)
