Wasn't expecting much here based on previous reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly, food was delicious, and drinks were great. The execution of service and overall experience could be improved with a few minor tweaks. For example, the restaurant lighting was bright and could be dimmed for a more intimate experience. The volume in the restaurant also seemed too quiet, and some much would have been nice (I think music was playing but I couldn't really hear it). We could hear the tables next to us and what they were talking about. Finally, while the service was friendly it could have been sharper with respect to placement of dishes, knowledge of food, and attentiveness, etc. But let's focus on the good: the food and drinks were great. The bread was excellent. The pizza crust flavor was spot on, although I would have preferred a crispier crust and and less toppings. Calamari was fresh tasting. The entrees were top notch and the Emeril's take on a cannoli was great. Give this place a try and hopefully a few minor tweaks will improve the overall experience.

The Italian Table visit was ruined by the rude hostess, lack of high end food, and the TV's everywhere. I don't need a 20 inch television in my face in the dining area of a slightly pricy Italian restaurant. It's not a Sports Bar FFS... Waitress tried to squeeze 2 of us at a 4 person table in between a large party of 20 and 3 other tables of 4. all along the walls were empty 2 person seating and she huffed when we asked to move somewhere else. We made a reservation after all and there was so much empty space. made us stand in the middle of the dining room next to people while she called the front to see if it was ok. perhaps it's not her call, but it just seemed like we were bothering her... and perhaps we were... but intimate couples tables were empty when we got there. and empty when we left. and it shouldn't have been an issue regardless. But she did move us and it was fine in the end. perhaps she was just having a bad day and we were the end of it with a complaint. My wife and I ordered a Anti Past appetizer. $16 for what we got was a waste. skip the warm meat and cheese. I ordered a shrimp scampi on some pasta. Bland, Boring, 4 shrimp on the whole bowl. Who orders a shrimp scampi dish and only get 4 shrimp. Tasted like nothing and as much as I stirred the bowl it was not improving. My wife had a lemon chicken dish of some kind. She ate about a 3rd and gave up. went back to picking at the olives and beets from the appetizer. It looked amazing and golden brown. smelled delicious to me and tasted nicely of lemon and herb. It was mostly dark meat which m wife isn't a fan of so perhaps it was just a bad choice on her behalf. It wasn't a $90.00 meal... but that's what I had to pay. Waiter was really friendly and attentive. Only thing that earned this review the second star. He couldn't have been nicer In my opinion...skip The Italian Table.

To say I'm surprised to see such bad reviews is an understatement. I dined here last night with my husband & 2 friends. I had the chicken parm w/ garlic spaghetti -- amazing! The chicken was crispy, the red sauce was delish & the garlic spaghetti substitute was a great addition. My husband had the Grilled Filet Mignon Medallions. The filet literally melted in your mouth & the sauce on the steak was reallllly good. His plate was cleaned in 10 minutes, that's how much he loved it. My 2 friends both got the Crab & Spinach Ravioli. They raved about the cream sauce. The spinach ravs were perfectly cooked & really tasty & the jumbo crab meat on top was a perfect addition. The whole meal plus some drinks came out to $140 total! We were beyond happy with the service, the food & the price points. Def. a gem in Sands Casino.

This is a nice upscale Italian restaurant. I had the lasagna which is the best I've ever had. The texture was perfect and there was a lot of nice cheese and tomato sauce. The prices are higher than most Italian restaurants I have been to, but then again this is a celebrity chef's restaurant so the price gouging is to be expected. You need to have a reservation at all times even if there are tons of open tables. I had to wait over two and a half hours for my reservation which was annoying since there were at least ten open tables available when I made the reservation. Other than that the food is good and this is a very nice restaurant to splurge at if money is no object or you just hit the jackpot at the casino.

There are very few options for dining out on Christmas day in Bethlehem, but with my grandfather moving and us in a hotel, I needed to find somewhere for us to eat. Luckily Emeril's had reservations on Open Table. Since I live in Vegas, going to a casino to eat is normal to me, but my family found it a bit odd to walk through the casino floor to get to the restaurant. Once we arrived however, the slot noise and smoke disappeared and we were in a cozy brick adorned space that was rustically charming. We arrived at the restaurant about ten minutes before our reservation time and happily we were seated almost immediately. Our server came right behind the hostess to take our drink order. Since we had not reviewed the wine list yet, we just got waters, but when she came back with bread and water we ordered a nice bottle of red at a reasonable price. We started with the prosciutto shrimp for $12. It was okay, but a little bland and only good for about 2 people. For an entrée, I tried the Chicken Marsala with Rapini for $18. The chicken was pounded thin and was juicy, the marsala sauce was traditional and flavorful. The rapini was a little bitter. I also tasted the Chicken Parmigiano, also $18. It was really good. There was something special in the chicken coating (Romano cheese maybe) that gave it a a more robust flavor profile. The red sauce was also zesty. Yes, I had a little entrée envy going on. For dessert we decided to share a couple orders of house made cannoli. $7/ 3 mini cannoli. This is not something I would order again. They were way too lemony and tasted nothing like traditional Italian cannoli.

I'm surprised a celebrity chef would associate his name with this place. The chicken piccata is like a microwave dinner.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The wait staff were friendly. The food was good. We started with the Chef Antipasti Sampler - it had cheese, meats, olives, roasted pepper and artichokes. Delicious. We also had the calamari - they were really good not rubbery at all. The sauce that it came with was delicious. Not the typical marinara sauce. I picked for my entree the chicken piccata and it came with ravioli. It was really good. I would definitely go back if I am ever in Bethlehem, PA.

Great location in the casino and interior was a little like a diner. Nice pizza oven and anti pasta bar was pretty cool. Wait time was a bit long. Plenty of open tables that needed to be reset. Waitress, Greta, was very nice and capable. Antipasti was good, salad over dressed and soggy. Veal Marsalis wasn't a good choice but the chicken under a brick was better. Basically like a diner, thought it was going to be better

Very disappointed! My colleague and I ate here last night, and I'm sorry I didn't read the Yelp reviews first. We made reservations in advance and still had to wait with others at the front for five minutes--they had plenty of open tables. It took about 10 minutes before a server actually came to our table and she was very pleasant and attentive....until she started serving the loud table of 15 who were seated just after us. Our calamari appetizer was pretty good--not the best I've ever had, but decent. The Caesar salad, although sizeable, was bland and ordinary. We both had chicken parm and mine was difficult to cut (very overcooked). I will say that the fettuccini Alfredo was pretty good. That's it. Once our server dropped off the check, we waited well over 10 minutes before another server finally came and took our payment. It ended up being about a 1.5 hour event that seemed like an eternity. Emeril should be embarrassed to have his name associated with this establishment.

Some good, some bad. Prices are reasonable enough, but this place just doesn't live up to the food & service expected at a place Emeril is putting his name on. The bread was excellent...nice touch with the special spreads, but it would have been nice to have a saucer for the olive oil on the table. Waitress (who was incredibly nice but appeared to be hitting the wall for the night) asked us if we wanted more bread, and when we said yes, took our bread plates away and then brought us more bread. Kind of like the straws she promised but never did. Tried to order two different drinks from the menu and were told that they were "unavailable" that evening (really weird, no?) and settled on a very unimpressive glass of prosecco. My husband went with the pineapple mint mojito...too much sugar, but the flavor would have been excellent without that. After two pseudo failed drinks, we switched to water for the evening. Apps popped up quickly and were good....the fried mozz comes with a great tomato/roasted pepper garnish that is delicious. The EIT salad was also well done. Portion sizes were good. Main courses felt like they took a bit, but only because people around us were getting good more quickly. Chicken piccata was decent, but nothing I couldn't get at a local random Italian place. Husband really liked his salmon. Desserts were okay...cannoli were better than the tiramasu. It was fine...and with the Restaurant Week pricing, it wasn't bad. But I was expected spectacular like Emeril's other restaurants, and this just isn't it.

Went another time, to finally try their regular menu (since we had a holiday menu before). My steak was great, but my spouse thought the price he paid for his traditional Italian bland entree was too high. There was no "Bam" to his food and there should have been for the price. Look, if you are at the casino and want Italian and don't mind the cost, this place is for you. But you'd probably get better and cheaper Italian food at some of the local family owned restaurants nearby. Keep in mind, without reservations, they may not have a table for you, even though it might look like they do.

I think the food here is average. Not the best I've ever had but definitely okay. The meatballs were hard to cut into which seemed like a bad sign but then weren't hard to chew, so they were fine. Our waitress was pretty nice. Overall, the food just didn't impress me so I don't think I'll be returning.

The service was the worst I've ever had and the food was edible at best. I arrived 20 minutes early for my reservation and explained we are early. The host said your table will be ready closer to you reservation time. I said we will just grab a drink at the bar. We are right next to the hostess stand and at my reservation time we ask if our table is ready they say of course it is we can seat you any time. Why not seat us or let us know the table was ready? We get the table and waitress take 5 min to even recognize us. We are now rushed to catch our show so we order drinks and dinner at the same time. No time for appetizers any more. Dinner come and it just sucked. No flavor very bland and not at all what we expected. We left more than half the dish and asked for the bill. By far one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I'm not one to review things but just felt the need to let others know to stay away from this place.

Tough location, but that is just my opinion. I'm not a fan of the mall style set-up of the Sands Casino. I'm not a huge fans of casinos period. However, once you enter Emeril's they do their best to make you forget what is on the other side of their walls. The service was friendly and attentive. You definitely feel like you are in a chain restaurant, but a higher end chain. The dining room is very large, and laid out nicely. Table spacing is great. Only real knock is that you have to walk about a 1/4 mile to get to a restroom. The portions are huge, but we enjoyed everything we had. They serve great basic pastas, Italian classics, as well as other dishes. I had a fantastic autumn chicken dish. They also serve what looked to be tasty pizzas. All in all, a good experience here.

I really wouldn't waste your time or money with this place. There are so many other better Italian restaurants in the Lehigh Valley! I had chicken parm and the sauce tasted store bought. The place wasn't cheap either! I will give every restaurant a chance, but I will definitely not be returning to this one.

Wow. I was hoping to find something new to try in the reviews. We eat at this restaurant almost every time we go to the sands. Our standbys are the calamari, the sausage and meatball pizza and the eit chopped salad. You can't go wrong with those. The calamari is light and different than we've had anywhere else. The entrees I've had have been mostly meh without a lot of flavor. My friend liked the pappardelle Bolognese. Tonight we broke out and tried the lasagne and recommend that, too. The bread is really good and we've never had any issues with the service. I only wish they had the banana cream pie at this restaurant :)

Less than mediocre, the mussels were so over cooked that they looked like small spiders in the shell and had an unpleasant crunch. The main dishes were bland, and served at room temperature. We barely ate 2 slices of the tasteless pizza. Service was cheerful but slow and the restaurant was coated in a dirty greasy film. Emeril should be ashamed.

My wife ate here, sort of on a whim, after a show, but still had high expectations since we wanted to try it for some time. Surprisingly it was just Okay. The service was excellent, however. We were seated quickly and the food was brought to us in a timely manner. I got calamari as an appetizer. While it was good, it was lacking something to set it apart from any typical Italian restaurant. My entree was a boneless pork chop, which was unseasoned and slightly overdone and fatty. My wife got an uninspired chicken piccata. The desert, a tiramasu, was probably the best part. Overall, if this was an Olive Garden, I probably wouldn't have remarked, or noticed the food quality as much, but this was not on par with what I had thought it would be. Especially, since it costs twice as much as any chain Italian Reastaurant. So disappointing...

The food is good, hands down. My family and I dined here on 01/08. We were promptly seated. The lighting is nice, but maybe slightly too dark. The menu choices are well descripted and priced. The only thing other than lighting that I could knock would be that I was initially served red wine, when I asked for white.

We went to Emeril's on Saturday night to have a memorable night to celebrate our 1-year anniversary and it was also our first night out after having a baby. It was definitely memorable. My wife ordered a chicken dish and was throwing up violently for hours later that night. If we forget about that for a moment, I still wouldn't return. The food is pricy and the quality and taste was on the same level as an Olive Garden or other chain restaurant. The menu is uninspired Italian food and the taste was bland. I didn't love anything I had that night. I doubt Emeril has anything to do with this restaurant other than licensing his name. He should reconsider this as I won't eat at another Emeril branded restaurant again. The only saving grace was the service. We had a very attentive waitress, who we enjoyed talking to. Here's another downside. We both had to use the restroom during the meal and there are no bathrooms in the restroom. My wife used the one inside the casino, which was 15 minutes walk there and back. I found one inside the convention area, which was equally as far. Two bathroom breaks in our meal definitely put a damper on the mood of date night as one of us was sitting alone for a good portion of the meal.

Neat branding play at the Sands for Emeril, but mixed results on the experience. Menu is interesting, and performs exceptionally well for appetizers. We had the Garlic Shrimp Bruschetta and Chef's Antipasti Sampler. Both are exceptional. The bruschetta is not good for sharing, served on one piece of bread with two shrimp, but is an excellent selection with fantastic compliments of flavor. The antipasti sampler is fantastic: meats, olives, apricots, cheese, and beets. All of us were very satisfied. For entrees, our party had chicken parmigiana, spaghetti carbonara, and the lasagna. The lasagna was good with ground veal sauce, béchamel, and ricotta. The carbonara was average. And the chicken was undercooked. When asked about our meal, we told the server that the chicken was undercooked, and they reacted very well. Our server reported the undercooked dish to the kitchen, and the manager also responded to our table. They offered me an additional entree, but with the appetizers I was already full. Instead they offered us free desert to go. It's the sign of a well operated establishment when the servers and managers respond in a very strong way on behalf of their customer. Overall, the dining experience was OK. They did a good job in several categories, but the entrees left more to be desired.

What a joke! We went there for a birthday dinner which I sadly booked regardless of what others had told me. It took 2.5 hours plus to eat, start to the miserable finish. The appetizers took at least 35 minutes to come out and one of them was sent back because it was cold. They made a new set of mussels, which came out minutes. It's now 7:20 and at 7:50 I asked the waitress where our food was. I told her 30 minutes is a long time between apps and dinner, she told me no it takes normally 20-25 minutes but she will go check. Magically our food was carried out and they had no clue who ordered what. In the meantime I went to speak to the manager and he didn't really seem to care but said the dessert for the birthday girl would be free (wow big savings). As I get back to the table they are all telling me the food is cold and some of the dishes were given to the wrong people. The manager then offered to just reheat the food NOT make a new one. If I wanted reheated food I would buy a frozen meal. Sadly, one of the dishes was pork and it was raw in the middle but he didn't seem to care about that either. Overall, skip this place unless you have endless time to waste.

Delicious Italian food! From the pasta to the pizza everything on the menu is so tasty. The service has always been wonderful, especially sitting at the bar. Only downfall is the very pretentious and rude hostess.

7:45 pm reservation , restaurant not crowded . :Very simple order , a chop salad for me , and rigatoni with sauce for my wife . 40 minutes later the order finally arrived and I was given a Ceasar Salad . A few minutes later our server appeared and I told him about the mix up and he took away the Ceasar and a few minutes later brought my chop salad . The chop salad was excellent , my wife's pasta tasted old .

My wife and I were "rewarded" a comp dinner here for all the money we have lost at the Sands Casino and were not impressed with the service to say the least. Our waitress took forever to come to our table, and the same amount of time to bring our drinks. I do have to say the food tasted decent, I'm sure Emeril himself would not have been crazy about it, however you only have like three options from the menu and they kind of treat you like you are getting a "free meal" which we have never felt like that in Atlantic City. When our comp glasses of wine were done we had to wait like 20 mins before flagging the waitress down to actually pay for another glass of wine. I mean you would think they would push you to actually drink more since its a comp dinner not ignore you like your broke or something. Treating "comp" dinners like this will only deter patrons from gambling at the Sands at all.

Not your typical Italian food here. We've dined here twice. The Lasagna is very good, with a creamy bechamel sauce. I'm Italian and most decent Italian restaurants serve food that is basically the same thing we make at home. Why go out for typical red sauce and meatballs? Here the recipes are more of a gourmet variety with nice touches. The waitress, who was excellent, recommended the fried Calimari, and it was one of the best we've had. Instead of the typical red sauce, it was in a light, creamy, buttery sauce and spiced up with sliced chili peppers. The serving was about half the size of most places, which is fine with us. I actually finished my ravioli's. The cheese cake had goat cheese in it and was dense and delicious (again, not typical cheap cheese cake that you get in so many restaurants, usually made with cream cheese).

Went here for girls night out Black Friday night. Our table was ready on time and the waitress was courteous, helpful and prompt. I must have been to a different restaurant than the rest of the negative reviews because everything we ordered including the salmon was cooked to perfection, served at the right temperature and the wait staff even ensured we all got our meals simultaneously so no one had to wait longer for her food. I ordered the goat cheese and pancetta pizza and had enough to bring home leftovers. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we will definitely return there soon!

Very ordinary at the back end of the casino. We had teenagers, so we were prohibited from walking around the casino to get to the restaurant...though it was the only access. It took ten minutes for a guard to show up to escort us; and we had to repeat the drill when we left. I was expecting an experience from the great chef Emeril. Instead I got something I can find at the Olive Garden. I guess they try to make up the average quality by giving you huge portions. Not something I need. Gotta wonder if Emeril is really the great chef ....or maybe he is just cashing out through the casino.

We were accommodated with bar seats immediately on a night when a table for 2 was on a 3-hr wait. Our bartender was great and the drinks were generously poured. We had the chefs selection antipasti, chicken Marsala and chicken parmesan. The food was on the pricy side but we felt it was a great meal. The orange butter served with the bread was amazing.

Maybe it was because it on special that day, but my salmon was cooked to perfection. You could only barely tell it had been previously frozen. My gelato desert was great (get the toasted almond and the chocolate together). I asked for a mudslide martini to go along with my decadent desert, but the bartender was obviously confused as what I got was not a martini at all. But it was tasty. Server was very attentive (it was early and a little slow at the time). My only complaint is that the menu should be expanded.

The restaurant layout was very well planned, tables situated do you are not right on top of each other, it had a more intimate small bistro feel to it. The food was outstanding the calamari was some of the best I have ever had. no heavy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chef chose of cheese and meat was wonderful as well. The soups were well truly a meal in and of itself. just yummy. Service was attentive and not overbearing. I will definitively come back again

Came here for my friends bachlorette. Made a reservation for 730 and it wasn't until 2 hrs later that we finally got our main course and three hours until we actually left. Manager named "Wilfredo" was an idiot. The food sucked. I get better food at a diner for 1/10 of the price.

I absolutely LOVED it here! I took my fiancé here for part of our Valentines day 2013 date and it was an incredible dining experience. Our waitress was beyond friendly, prompt with bringing everything out, gave me a recommendation on what to get that was mouth watering (Stuffed ravioli and mushrooms), and the prices really weren't all that bad! Though many people are complaining about the "portion" size, Rachel and I completely disagree. Both of us left the restaurant with a complete full stomach. Rachel being so full she couldn't even finish her dinner! The food was amazing tasting as well. It was like heaven to you taste buds. The atmosphere was wonderful. Quiet, personal, and romantic enough for a fabulous date, yet laid back enough for a regular dinner outing. The location is awesome too. Right in the heart of the casino! Beer prices weren't really all that bad considering they had unique beer, and the atmosphere. I had a Blithering Idiot (a very expensive beer) which was 9 dollars, and then some Italian import that was delicious and only 5 bucks! Rachel loved the coffee martinis, and the waitress even gave us two for the price of one! I definitely say try it out at least once. I know im going to try it, again...and again....and again.

Wow, so surprised of all the bad reviews. If I had seen them before we went, we may have gone elsewhere. Nonetheless my Brother and I had dinner here last week before seeing a concert at ArtsQuest. We felt it was pretty good. The two of us ate for 4 people so we tried a lot of different items - and really enjoyed everything. Chopped salad - above average Italian bean soup - excellent flash fried Calamari - decent roasted brussels sprouts - very good Veal Parm - decent, very large portion of veal - thought the spaghetti was below average Pizza w/ sausage - tasty, but too gooey with too much cheese and dough should be more crispy (less doughy) The pizza size/portion was large.

My husband and I went to see Jay Leno and decided to try Emeril's Italian. It was a mistake. The burrata salad was okay, maybe a bit salty. My chicken piccata was bland and the sauce on my husband's eggplant was equally so. Even the iced tea had a funny taste. As far as the staff, the hostess actually asked us "you want drink menus?" before she even sat us. Just bring one to the table; are they that heavy? The decor and atmosphere is best described as "casino.drab". We will not be back,

When I first looked at the menu and the delicious options, I thought I would be paying an arm and a leg to get this quality food. Rather, the food was very affordable and only slightly more expensive than an Olive Garden for much better quality food. The service was great and the bread was delicious. Definitely recommend out of all the sit down restaurants in the Sands Casino. It may appears as a Dressy restaurant, but I can assure you that it is not. I went in khaki shorts and a t-shirt and nothing was said to me. However, I would not recommend going in gym shorts, a white t-shirt, and flip-flops because you will get looks from other patrons. Additionally, I recommend to get there early and make a reservation! Otherwise you will be eating at 930 like I was. It was still worth it either way.

Bam! Or how about blah? Not being harsh and all but MAN! I don't think this place ranks higher than the local Olive Garden. The appetizers are not meant to be for more than 1 person, so order more if you are hungry. And... Damn. All I'm saying is, if it weren't for the pasta - the veal dish would have sucked.

I heard good things from people so we checked it out and we were extremely disappointed. The food was bad, not even decent, really bad. My husband got chicken parm thinking it was a safe bet and the sauce tasted like ragu, disgusting. I had linguini with clams and it was just as bad. Really I would save your time and money.

With a celebrity chef's name on the signage, really expected more. I was a huge fan of Emeril's TV shows in the 1990s and have been waiting to go to New Orleans and eat at one of his places. But now, he came to my home town! But it was awful. Haven't been this hurt since Pete Rose lied about betting against his own baseball teams. Was there for Easter and ordered the lamb special. Lamb was like dried out over-cooked jerky. The chick pea patty side dish looked like and tasted drab and boring. Was expecting "BAM!" But got "waste of $25." I didn't complain because we actually took my in-laws here. Didn't want to whine when I drove us there. What a waste of a lot a hard earned $$. For what they charge, I expected excellence. I have had better meals at diners, and I loathe diners. I know the restaurant is in a casino and that it would be pricey. I know that, I get it. But you should at least get flavor and quality and a meal to remember. The best part of the meal was the bread with the sun-dried tomato and garlic butter. It was fantastic and it led me to believe I was in store for a great meal. If they could make bread and butter taste this good, I can't wait to see what they can do to lamb? Wrong! Err! (Play the Price is Right loser bum-bum-ba-bum). That is what hurts even more, that I felt teased... then I got a piece of dried out over-cooked lamb that sat under a heat lamp for 45 minutes. Truly sad. As for the casino, if your not 80 years old and using a walker-- you are too young to be there. There are 2 sections-- chain smoking and smoke just wafts around. The signage outside the casino is not legible while driving at 25 mph. There are no signs indicating where you can drop passengers off, etc. really poorly planned lay out. If there are signs-- I couldn't find them. Will never, ever go back to either an Emeril restaurant or the Sands Casino.

One afternoon, I decided that I needed to lose some money at the Sands Casino. But to my delight, I won $11. Feeling flush, I told my husband that we should have a decadent boozy late lunch at Emeril's Italian Table. FIRST OF ALL, the place was 80% empty and they made us wait 15 minutes for a table. I understand that they may not have had a lot of servers working at that time, but at least let us sit down and get a drink at the table. Don't make me wait. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the server revealed that she was new, she needed to find the manager to get the bottle. And get this - the server had never opened a bottle of wine before. We were her virgin voyage. At a supposed world-class celebrity-chef-owned resort restaurant, they actually put a newbie server on the floor to screw up our bottle of wine. After breaking the cork, she went to get assistance. At this point, I was dying of thirst and my buzz from the big casino win had worn off. The chef's antipasto platter was really, really good. But we had barely dug into the antipasto when our overpriced hot sandwiches arrived at the table. Emeril, I've eaten at all three of your Sands restaurants and you'd better get your act together with the service. I expect way more. BAM.

Compared to Emeril's in New Orleans and Orlando, Italian Table gets 2 out of 5 stars. Service is great but the food is not as tasty. NY strip was good, salad seemed old, Veal Milanese was dry and Linguini with sausage and clams did not have enough taste. The bread they serve at the table seemed a bit on the stale side. I was quite disappointed.

Had the eggplant parm and excellent. Bread was great and the pesto butter was great! Waiter had a little attitude at first and then became friendlier. The gentleman who delivered our entrees was excellent and got everything correct. The soup was very flavorful and served hot. I would definitely go back.

After enjoying the chop house located down the hallway, I had pretty high expectations for this one. Unfortunately, not the best food in the casino. Service was friendly and attentive, but the food was nothing to write home about. Generous portions and the bread was very good.

My husband and I had the Grilled Tuna Steak special with fingerling potatoes and grilled zucchini. First though, our server Kim was excellent. My husband had the vegetable soup as the appetizer, then we ordered our tuna steaks medium rare. They came out 'almost' perfect; I would've preferred more rare; our server told us if we weren't happy with it, we could ask for another try. Didn't matter; the tuna was delicious with the lemon parsley gremolata (sp?) and I loved the zucchini and potatoes. Since we had time, we ordered the vanilla bean panda cotta (me) and the strawberry cream sorbet with biscotti (Hubby). I also ordered an Expresso martini with my dessert. Kim made sure Hubby's soda was refilled and our water was cold. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. This was my 3rd time there; this was my best experience.

I came here with my mother and sister to celebrate my mother's birthday and I can't say that I was impressed. The menu wasn't anything special, but I knew that from their website. They told us there was a 20 minute wait even though the restaurant was half empty. After walking around for about five minutes we walked back up to the hostess' podium and she asked why we were waiting. Did she totally forget who we were when we put our name in just five minutes prior? The music was too loud and the waiter spoke too softly, when he was around. Our meals took over 40 minutes to arrive and were of underwhelming quality. It wasn't terrible but I won't be going back any time soon.

Our first visit during the summer 2012 was dramatically different than the one last night, November 26, 2012, as in disappointing. My partner's cobb salad was a drenched, tired mess compared to the lightly dressed delight this summer. I tried their version of a Caesar and left over half of it. Diners in the area could do a better salad. As a table of four, we tried two appetizers--the caponata and the white beans with lemon. The caponata was yummy but the white beans were grainy and undercooked even though the lemon flavor nicely complimented the beans, in principle. Entrees were Cioppini, lasagna bolognese, meatballs with polenta, and vegetarian pasta were more than satisfactory. One last thing to mention is that the hosts/hostesses would benefit from some serious training in customer service face time. Their sullen facial gestures and apparent sense of self-importancce when interacting with customers makes for an unpleasant encounter.

After a little gambling and drinks I decided to grab a late night dinner at Emeril's Italian Table. I had the prosciutto pizza which wasn't bad, but left a funny taste in my mouth for the remainder of the night. Linguini was average and service was as well. Loud as can be in the place as well.

The food was ok, not great. I was anticipating a new experience when you go eat at an Emeril's establishment and I was disappointed. The highly talked about brick roasted chicken just tasted like a standard buttered chicken dish. Would I go back...no. Another minus at Emeril's Italian Table is that there are no bathrooms inside the restaurant. If you have to use the restrooms you need to talk a outside the restaurant to the hotel or casino bathrooms.

When you walk into an Emerils restaurant you expect something special. I've been to his New Orleans, Vegas and Orlando locations and they are special. This is Emeril's 3rd restaurant in the Sands Casino and his first try at Italian and he doesn't live up to his standards. The first thing you realize when you look at the menu is that is it it totally ordinary. You basically see the same items as the higher end chain italian restaurants with the addition of the now trendy salumeria and antipasto menus. So I decide to play it safe and order a margherita pizza. If Emeril can't get pizza right, everything else is downhill. The first thing I notice is that the pizza oven is NOT wood fired as represented on the website menu. It's a gas fired brick oven similar to California Pizza Kitchen - STRIKE 1!. When the pizza arrives it looks pretty but looks can be deceiving. The crust has absolutely no taste - STRIKE 2!. A few bites in I also realize another issue, this margherita pizza is way too dry. There is no juice from the tomatoes or the melted mozzarella which usually makes a great margherita pie - STRIKE 3!! I know this place has only been open for a few weeks but if they can't get a basic pizza right, I don't have high hopes for the rest of the menu. I'm not sure this place reaches the quality of higher end Italian chains like Bertuccis or Papa Razzi. I think Emeril could do much better.

Bad food , worse service , no attention to details. Go to the chop house , avoid avoid , avoid . I cant imagine this is how Emeril wants this place to be run,

The young lady as a hostess stated the wait would be 45 mins, but we found 2 seats are the bar and had a great time. Wilfredo our server/bartender was knew the menu and his service was outstanding. Gave us great recommendations and you can rest assured we will return. Love the apps and Carmen and I split an entree to make sure we saved room for dessert.

This place has amazing food. I got the Elberry chicken and i have to say this might of been the best non steak dinner i ever had. Everything was delicous. My date had chicken saltimbocca and she also enjoyed it. This place also has the best tiramisu i have had. People that have negative reviews of this place must have taste bud issues.

This is my second visit. What a letdown. The executive chef must rarely visit, and does little tasting. I originally gave it a 5 star rating. I'm not a fine dining guy (see my pic), but I do expect more, especially from emeril's staff. First, they did not want to seat us where we wanted, even though it was only 1/3 rd full. Strange. They apparently are understaffed, as our waitress was on her 13th hour. Not good. She was wonderful throughout, but ready to crash. Where do I start? Oily, salty, poor presentation, not completely cooked, missing taste, unhappy guests. Hummmmmm? Salad was requested with no dressing; came drenched in oil. Calamari; drenched in oil compote of a sort. Pesto ravioli with artichoke looked poooor; never should have left the kitchen, and I would have returned-- only to find my wife would've returned it too, but shes too nice. I don't know what they were trying to accomplish but a massive green sloppy mess! I actually spit it out. The fricassee was salty, with a half bottle of capers poured on top in a oil drenched bath of mediocre taste at best. It should have been returned, but he's easy going. The pork chop they loved; but the beans were not done, salty, and oily bath on bottom. And for my pizza, was not crisp as ordered, way too much cheese, but it was ok, not great like last time. Coffee was first served cold and poor taste. Second time around good. Spent $140 between 4, which is expected, while including 3 glasses of wine and 2 martinis. So the prices are good. But, if it is this empty on a Xmas Friday nite, with a pretty crowded casino, what is wrong? When we left I bet there were only 20 diners, at 9 PM. It should be half filled at all times on such a nite in a populated casino. So with great reviews last years and poor this year, don't they read these ? Yo Emeril, stop stuffin and start tweaking. You and we deserve better. How disappointing. And burgers and more gets more stars? Hey take notice, not our money. You lost our faith in the brand, being very hard to get back. How disappointing. I actually just read my review and went from 2 to 1 star, not even giving the 1 extra for the great chef. P.s. this is our 10th visit to the brand throughout the US.

I'm a foodi and a friend suggested Emerils Italian Table. First time for us,might I add.. the last!! Why? Servers uninformed as to menu items, strip steak listed and order , to be informed later they did not have it but had prime rib which we order to find out later they did not have and suggested ribeye. After over an hour our appetizers arrived, risotto bites... The worst I ever tasted... Clearly frozen, terrible. The ribeye was of inferior quality, hidden behind a tower of greens and the porcini cream sauce was cold and added zero. The pizza was served warm not hot and clearly of inferior ingredients. I suggest Emeril withdraw his name from this disaster of a restaurant, and do damage control for his Brand.

Checked in to the hotel late and didn't bother for a reservation...bad idea. No table for an hour for a walk in so we were bummed. It was Labor Day weekend. We decided to just order some pasta to go which ended up being a huge plus as the room menu for Emeril's was limited. Waited 20 minutes for our order and we tried a half order of each: lasagna($9), linguini and white clams($9), those hit the spot at 9:30PM. Pasta was not overcooked, and seasoned well. My wife liked her italian chopped salad ($8) and a side of garlicky spaghetti($5). Overall, the food was satisfactory, we wiped our styrofoam containers clean. The best part for a half order is that it didn't break the bank, so for all you frugal eaters, this is the way to go. If visiting with kids, be forwarned that not all of the restaurants accommodate them. Emeril's Italian is one of a very few that allow kids inside. Gonna have to try Emeril's chop house as well on our next visit. Thank goodness there are decent options to eat at PA Sands.

Compared to the other two Emerils locations in the Bethlehem Sands casino, this place was not good. The party of 4 I was with had to wait in line despite having a reservation and plenty of open tables. We ordered olives and calamari for apps. Both were small portions for the price, but pretty good. However it then took almost an hour for our entrees to come out and we had to flag down our waitress to even get another round of drinks during that time. Our food came out and was sitting behind us on a tray for at least 5 minutes then before it was served to us. It was average at best. The chicken parmesan was lukewarm. The Alfredo was unimpressive. Meatballs were decent. 3 of the desserts from the dessert menu were sold out. Summary: highly unimpressive, save your money and don't bother.

Was not impressed by anything at this restaurant. The place is not bad but with Emeril's name on it I would expect food and service better than other fine Italian establishments in the Lehigh Valley like Sette Luna or Molinari's. Had a Sunday night reservation for two and were seated immediately although was not needed as the place was very slow. We started off with Burrata Salad and soup of the day which was Sausage & Potato, both of which were enjoyable. For entrees I had the Veal Saltimbocca and the wife got Linguini Alfredo. While the portions were large with plenty to bring home neither dish offered much exciting on the palate and the Saltimbocca was pretty bland. For dessert I ordered the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Tart which was very tasty but I would have preferred more than the tiny smear of the Espresso sauce on the plate. My wife got the Cannoli which both of us did not like at all. The Mascarpone filling is infused with Orange flavor which is not stated in the menu description. An Orange Cannoli is not standard fare and while it fine to offer one you should make sure this flavor profile is clearly spelled out on the menu. Our server informed us (after the fact) that many customers do not like them and send them back often. She gladly removed that item from our bill. That leads me to the service which was barely average. As I mention above if you are server that sees an item returned a lot, why would you not inform a diner ordering this item. I am assuming that our server was new as she was very scattered in presenting of the specials as well as taking our orders.

After reading other reviews my wife and I went in with an optimistic but guarded expectation. Didn't get to adventurous in ordering figuring if you can't get the basics right the rest is going to be tough. Started off at the bar to finish the dal vs redskin game. Got some drinks and the mozzarella salad. It was very nice with, for lack of a better word, a glob of mozzarella, mice greens with fresh chiffinade of basil and a nice balsamic with some home made focaccia croutons. We sat down and Ordered a couple glasses of a very delicious barbera. They brought out some rosemary focaccia and lemon caper butter. That was excellent. We want to try some of the wood fired pizza after seeing it on other tables. We got the "Italian" which had garlic whipped ricotta, herbs, olive oil and chiles. This got a 4 out 10. It was a bit dry. The crust was great, the ricotta had little flavor and the chiles were to much as far as the heat and flavor. I like hot stuff but even if there were herbs the heat masked any other flavor. We added some of the decent table olive oil which helped a bit. After that we decided to really go basic and split the chicken park but asked if we could have it grilled. They complied without hesitation and what we got was very pleasant. Chicken was char grilled with herbs and olive oil, nice mozzarella topping it. The pasta was perfectly cooked an accompanied with the house red sauce. The sauce was a fresh tasting version of the classic American Italian "gravy". Not over salty, you could taste the quality of tomatoes with just a nice amount of garlic. What got me was there are two tables that had complaints around us. I don't know the reason or the validity but it was noticed that thy took care of the issue immediately. All in it was $68 with three glasses of wine. At this point I'd say I'd like to go back and get a bit more into the menu because overall it was good and the ingredients were of noticeable high quality, but I wasn't blown away.

Not impressed. The food was mediocre at best. The service was very slow. The servers were friendly, and they tried hard to please, but they mixed up our orders. Very overpriced considering the overall ambiance and experience.

Diner food at best. We ordered the calamari, magahrita pizza, eggplant pram, and an other pasta dish. I was told the calamari was ok. Apparently the cows were not producing the day we were there, since half the pizza had no cheese, the basil was not whole, but shredded, and the tomatoes did not seem appropriate for the pizza type. The pasta was clearly out of the box and possibly reheated. The eggplant was hard and chewy. The sauce was not good, (the nicest way to put it). The other pasta dish was the only tasty dish because of the butter and ham, but the pasta still tasted reheated. The only saving grace of the restaurant was the very nice, friendly servers. Maybe Emeril should eat here and give the cooks some lessons.

God I hope people look at these reviews before waiting in line and paying serious money for this place. Do not do it. It's not bad by any stretch but its way (way) overrated and way over priced. The food is ok, but not great. The drinks again are ok, and for some reason the beer prices are actually pretty good! But all in all it's a lot of show and not a lot of substance. Definitely not worth waiting for, go to one of the other 100 Italian restaurants in the area or one of the casino places to eat. What really annoyed me more than anything, besides being ripped off what you got, was their inflexibility to mix and match cheese and meat appetizers. If you wanted 5 choices they had to be all cheeses or all meats, silly. Trust me folks, walk by, have a look, but don't bother going in.

  • Stephanie F.

Many reviews have focused on the food taking forever - and it does - but that's because they make all the food to order. If you plan ahead knowing it'll be awhile, this shouldn't be much of an issue. The food is good - not exactly your traditional fare (ex: they had chopped mint in my penne with eggplant), and even the 1/2 portions are huge! The wait staff was polite and overall it was a decent experience.

Food is excellent!! Eberly Farms chicken with parm risotto and roasted brussel sprouts was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. Fantastic! Great wine selection by the glass....12 reds and about 7-8 whites with a few sparkling wines as well. Even had a decent beer selection. No draft which is typical for italian restaurants, but good bottle selection and they have peroni which I LOVE! Bar staff is on point! Great service all around. Will return!

Is this an upscale Italian restaurant? No but is it worth it and good? Yes. I have not tried the pizza but the Chicken Parm and other pasta entree items we had were above average. I thought the sauces were pretty darn good. I didn't like the idea of packaged bread sticks and would of preferred nice warm fresh bread at the table. I could not complain about the service as it was good as it gets. You can even bring in the children as the entrance is off the hotel lobby so there is no need to go through the casino. Excluding sesrvice I agree they could do much better and in reality the Olive Garden probably has a more extensive menu and presentation but if you are in the area and looking for reasonable priced Italian food I would recommend it.

  • Nolan S.

Last time I will eat here, I thought the service was terrible but the food was even worse. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The food that they serve is worse than Olive Garden, at least there you get a pleasant hostess and server. Also, wait time was ridiculous, I mean I had to wait 15 minutes for a restaurant that was completely empty. I will never recommend this place, I will actually tell people to avoid it!!!

Nice ambiance. Service just okay. Food mediocre. Had veal milanese for 24 bucks. Average sized portion served on a tiny plate. Wilted salad and congealed risotto served on the side.

Went in expecting a great meal, came out highly disappointed. As another reviewer said, to start off our meal prepackaged breadsticks .. C'mon ! and from there things only got worse. At a place with Emerils name on it, you expect wonderfully tasty food but the sauces on our dishes we tried were uninspiring to say the least with very very little flavor. I also had the Roasted Peppers and Olive appetizer which sadly only arrived with exactly 3 small slices of peppers and the rest were all olives, they should rename it the "Olive" appetizer. The decor inside is also not very appealing for a brand new restaurant, it already looks 15 years old. Sad to say I think the place is only relying on Emerils name, can't believe it will survive if it continues as it runs now. We will not return.

I have to say I was not completely impressed with this place. The wait was long (although many open tables were available) and the food was just Okay. I was expecting a lot more out of a fancier Emeril's restaurant.

  • Alexis S.

Well... I made the assumption that since Emeril's name is on it, it must be good. I really wish I came on to read the reviews first. I too did not get adventurous with my order and ordered Eggplant Parm. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get our entrees. It was ridiculous. Then it comes out and the eggplant was HARD and the spaghetti side was beyond al dente. I don't know if they forgot our order and then had to rush or what. My mom was in visiting and wanted to see Sands so I thought it would be tasty and convenient. It was neither. We had planned to see the Lights on the Parkway and dinner took so long that we missed it. It was closed by the time we got there. Oh and I'm pregnant so waiting that long for dinner was torture.

The food is amazing! Order a plate of cheese and meats...they are delicious. However, the martinis are awful and the house merlot was acidic.

  • Chuck B.

Food was good, service was better. The Italian Chop Salad was very good. The chopped salami in the chopped salad had excellent flavor. Enjoyed the meat and cheese appetizers. Chicken Parm was tasty. It is one of the larger entrees here. Baked Penne with roasted eggplant was very good. Ricotta cheesecake with fig had excellent flavor. Panna Cotta was good and the blood orange sauce was excellent. Waitstaff were both friendly and attentive. Restaurant got quite loud as evening went on.

We ordered three dishes and they were all extremely salty, they do give you a ton of food, we brought most of it home but ended up in trash. I will most likely visit the casino again but would never consider dining here, the foods just not worth the price they demand, the service was excellent however.

    (1)
  • Akbar R.

The food was very average to below average considering this guy is a "famous" chef. The service was absolutely horrendous...we had a large party and our waitress barely checked on us, the food came an hour after we ordered it and it was a weeknight so not that busy...if the service was better, it may have been possible to overlook the food quality but this place was a fail all around...

We keep trying Emirl's restaurants because with his name, you expect a great meal. We were disappointed in Emirl's Chop House, but still thought we would give the Italian Table a try. We went during restaurant week, thinking it would be a good time to sample their best. All four of us were beyond disappointed. First we were flabbergasted that a wine special that highlighted a bottle of Andretti wine was $80.00, more then we were willing to pay. Then, the appetizers were only two choices, soup or salad. The salads were good but ordinary. The soup was probably the only good thing the entire meal. As for main entrees, again, only three choices, meatball and spaghetti, which was just so-so, I think I can make it better, (a $30.00 meal toi highlight your restaurant???) a chicken piccata, which had absolutely no taste, and a pasta alfredo (just noodles for $30.00????) The dessert was only a choice of 2 items. The cannoli, which was the worse I ever tasted. I mean, seriously, how can you go wrong with cannoli. It had some weird taste to it that just was not liked by anyone at our table. The chocolate torte was good, but not exceptional. All in all, we had bad diner food at a supposedly 5 star restaurant with 5 star prices. Not what we expect from Emirl. We will not go back for sure.

Me and my wife have been here about 7 times trying everything from the pizza to desserts and everything in between. This place is a total joke for "ITALIAN" food. The only thing that resembles actual Italian is their imported variety of meats and cheeses. If your stuck in the casino then you have no other choice. If you want to get in your car and drive a bit into Bethlehem then you will have better choices.........

As another reviewers said, the bread and sun dried tomato butter was delish. I ordered Roasted Red Pepper and Arugula salad, There was no red pepper in the salad but what I did have was very good. Then the lasagna with bechemel sauce. Looked like wallpaper paste, tested like wallpaper paste. The meat in it was veal. It neither looked or tasted like veal. The only reason I did not return it was because my husband did not want a confrontation. I tasted his meal. His spaghetti was not as mushy as my lasagna but the sauce, not so good. Tiramisu tasted like they just put pudding on top of ladyfingers before they brought it out. Smoky. Lin the front of the restaurant. Not worth the trip. Much better places in Bethlehem. Sorry, Emeril.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
