don't get the hype here , staff was rude food was gross, didn't know you could screw up an eye any worse than they did - scrambled hmm look like it was tossed to the ceiling and feel down on a plate - wont be back

This restaurant was a nice surprise. Family run with great service and delicious country cooking. We were greeted with a friendly welcome as we walked through the door and they treated us like the locals. I can see why it was a full house!

Everything about this place makes you want to be here. This quaint, local Bethlehem staple has been here for 45 years and I hope, for the pleasure of future generations, that they are here for 450 more. The unassuming pit-stop exterior does no justice to the overwhelmingly charming ambiance or scrumptious meals that await you inside. We found out from the owner that they are waiting for the massive road construction to clear before they "spruce it up". I assure you it makes no difference. The Good: My eating companions and I came at prime time on a Sunday morning. We waited about 10 mins and then slid up to the counter to watch the action. We were greeted quickly, brought drinks and menus, and given time to browse the selection (which was more extensive than one would think for a place so small). Orders were taken quickly and placed immediately. Everything is done by hand written check and Expediter. No POS computers for this joint. The Better: We watched our order being hand crafted on a flat griddle the size of a NYC apt kitchen countertop. Despite lack of space, the chef did a spectacular job and our orders were up within 8 minutes! There was a small mixup with my order, so it had to be remade but it only took 2 minutes and I munched on toast while I waited for the deliciousness. The Epic: Oh. My. God. The meals. We each ordered a custom omelet and a few sides of meat. The veggies in the omelets were fresh and flavorful. The home fries were crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside with touches of onion for flavor. The meats, kielbasa and the sausage, were clearly either handmade there or Lancaster butchered and spiced to perfection. The staff are all family and they make you feel like family while you are there. They knew all the names of local residents and greeted them by name. We chatted with the owner and her daughter while polishing off our super fresh coffee. They gave us some history of the place and it felt like we became regulars before the end of the meal. If you are anywhere near this amazing piece of Americana, stop in for a bite, cooked with love, just for you.

Cash only which sucks. Meat lovers omelette was "okay." Seems like small family owned restaurant which was nice. Coffee tasted fresh even though it was 1:30pm when I ate. If passing through I would eat her again.

The food here was great. The kitchen was very clean. I felt like i was sitting in my grandmothers kitchen. The food was fresh and hot, coffee was pretty good i deffinently didnt leave hungry. The owners were very nice and friendly the staff was very attentive to the customers. I deffinently will be returning in the near future

Great breakfast place. Doesn't take credit cards. Cash only. Easy on/easy off the highway. Not fine dining, but it will fill you up and keep you going until you get to your destination.

Best breakfast in the Lehigh Valley not expensive, great service, served hot and fresh. Family owned and operated.

This is a great place to stop for a quick breakfast or lunch. Portions are pretty good and the service is always fast. This is not fancy food but it will fill you up fast and not empty your wallet. Downside - cash only and the beef gravy tastes like it came out of a can.

Down home cookin. Stopped here after seeing the line at the waffle house. Glad we did! Breakfast was good and cheap! Get Chris' Special- eggs, homefries, toast and bacon for $4.95. We will def be back!

Went here for breakfast for the first time today and was really impressed. Great prices ($5 for an omelet, home fries, and toast) friendly staff, and delicious food. This is definitely a "locals" kind of place--most of the people eating didn't even request a menu to order. Make sure to bring cash, as they don't accept cards.

Great breakfast place. Nice family run dinner. Open for breakfast and lunch. Prices are very reasonable and food is everything a breakfast place should be. Good coffee, crispy potatoes and eggs cooked anyway you want. We have only had breakfast so can't comment on lunch menu. We have had Florentine omelet, poached eggs and Breakfast Special and all was cooked great! So stop by for a friendly place to eat.

Good food and really cheap too. I think Hellertown Diner has better homefries but Chris's really has better SOS on toast and omelet platters. Great people who own the place. They seem to have some odd hours though. They really miss out on the after-church brunch crowd if they close at noon on Sundays. Kind of hard to find the place since it would look a little abandoned if not for all the cars in the lot. I go here sometimes before I hit the shooting range down the road. The restaurant is also fairly tiny so I wouldn't bring a large group of people here. Cash only. But the stuff is so cheap you don't need much. And yeah their coffee isn't too great.... but it's not TERRIBLE either. I miss this place. I miss my SOS.

As a new guy in town, I was looking for somewhere in the neighborhood to get a halfway decent lunch on break. Don't let the outside appearance fool you; This little diner doesn't disappoint- friendly staff, quick service and most importantly; DELICIOUS! I'm happy to have a great place nearby work and it feels good supporting this quaint family business. II've been back several times since then (even brought a few friends and family members) and every single one of them loves it as much as I do! :)
