It's fine - exactly what you think it is for roadside dining in the middle of nowhere. Food is okay, service friendly, bathrooms clean. The woman at the door is lovely and the regulars look at you but aren't judgmental. Dependable.

DO NOT go to this place! Food was decent at best. There is a strong stench outside which will make you loose your appetite right away. The bathrooms were not clean and didn't have basic necessitys such as soap, paper towels , and toilet paper. To top everything off there are a million fly's inside which makes for a very uncomfortable eating environment . do not make the same mistake I did! stay away!!!

This is perhaps the worst diner I've ever eaten at. Usually, one can count on at least a decent breakfast at a diner. The breakfast I ordered, pancakes and eggs, was horrible. The pancakes were so tough and "rubber like", I could barely cut them. This diner can't even get a simple breakfast right. Judging from previous Yelp reviews, other dishes as well. Can't believe they have been in business since the 1950's. Guess they're the "only game in town."

I give it one star because they were extremely pleasant, prompt and nice. It is situated next to a truck stop. I assume even long haul truckers enjoy a fresh and tasty meal. Well, they won't do that here. The food was horrible. My burger was a tough, frozen patty. My family got a fried fish sandwich that tasted like a mushy old fish stick, a salad that was served without dressing and brown lettuce leaves, and a meatloaf sandwich that was served on wonder bread soaked in gravy making it doughy. The "fresh baked" apple pie was far from homemade. It was canned apple filling with a doughy and undercooked crumb topping. I won't go back and certainly wouldn't recommend it.

It'll do. Isn't special, though. If I were driving through again, I wouldn't stop here. Prefer to try what is available in the next town.

We stop here every time we drove through on or way back to NYC for one reason: they have good raisin pie. No one has raisin pie any more, but they do, and it's just like my grandma's used to be. It's not overly sweet, which is perfect. The other food is okay, and the servings are not disgustingly huge like some places. We truthfully haven't had that many different things from the menu, but we've been satisfied. Service is kind and quirky. A good place to stop with the family or on a road trip.
