Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

The subs are very delicious, especially the doagies. Be warned though, a doagie is very tasty but it's a lot of food! Plan on sharing it with someone or making it your meal for lunch and dinner. The homemade bread they use is phenomenal, very fresh and satisfying. There are a few eclectic items on the menu...spaghetti sandwich anyone? The staff is beyond friendly. I rarely get a chance to go there but they addressed me by name the entire time (even though they couldn't pick me out of a crowd) and they definitely seemed genuinely appreciative of my business. It's been a few years since I've had their pizza but I remember it definitely standing out for good reason. The sauce is sweet, the cheese ratio is even, and the dough is baked very evenly as well.

Very friendly place. You give your order, sit down, get served, then you pay. Slices and sandwiches are available for reheating if you're in a hurry; or you can order the amazing strombolis or calzones. I had the broccoli calzone and was completely blown away. Of the best I've ever had anywhere-- It was cooked fresh and thorough (crust was well done). Mozzarella inside, ricotta exposed, with parmesan sprinkled on top. The crust was soft yet firm. It was truly a symphony to my taste buds. Though I was only passing through town on business, whenever I travel down I-80 again, this will be one of my stops. I highly recommend it (though I cannot speak for the pizza)

I can't say much good about our recent visit to Scicchitano's: The amount of meat on the cheese steak could only be described as skimpy. The plain pizza was nothing special. We got a pizza with toppings, it was the best thing we ordered, but not great. overall a big disappointment.

I had lived in the area all my life. My family started getting pizza here when I was in middle school. We would get a large Bacon and Ham and a Large extra Cheese. I would also get Doagies all the time. in 2010 at the age of 25 I moved to Alaska, then nor cal followed by San Diego, Finally ending up in the Bronx. I haven't found Bacon and Ham pizza as good anywhere...everytime I come home, Scic's is always at the parents waiting for me. I do love Dalos, Stuccios and pollocks, but Joey and those at Scicchitanos own their craft. To call it a "Good NY/Philly style pizza"...you have obviously never had pizza at those places...I have and many times...it doesnt compare...Always my first choice

Good NY/Philly style pizza. When they say 30 minutes they really mean an hour.
